Hi everyone!

I have around 40k usd and I'm looking for a 2 years investment.

What is the safest bet in your opinion?

- Bitcoin,
- Ethereum, or
- Solana?

I'm expecting a 4x in avarage... Thank you!  ;D

Of course to say the safest is definitely bitcoin, not the other 2 options. There is no more secure coin than the bitcoin. But to say which coin can bring the most profit it can be ethereum or it can also be sol because bitcoin is safe but can't grow faster than the other 2 coins, on the contrary, the other 2 coins are not as safe as bitcoin. Risk and return always go hand in hand, so depending on your investment needs, you prefer safe or high return. Ethereum and sol are two potentially risky altcoins, so you should consider them carefully, just to be safe, I will put 30k in bitcoin and 10k in the other 2 coins.

Market is in bearish zone. But as this is going to 2year long invest, then bearish doesn’t matter i believe. Rather now you can get your safest invest Btc with low price. As Btc ATH was more than $65k+, i believe its possible that btc retun you 3x in 2years. But for 5x return, you need to choice ether and bnb. Less safer than btc but they are fastest-growing & possible to give you more than 5x returns in 2 years. I'm not sure about solona yet, so no statement regarding this coin

All that's been mentioned were to give the expected return as there is 2 years of holding time. The next bullish market to take the price reach new ATH were scheduled for 2024 in connection with the halving. This will assure with good return on the bitcoin. Followed will be the growth with altcoins. Solana have reached $260 as the ath in the past. Right now it sits around $33 which to reach 4X to 5X is easy thing on a bull market. It is good to DYOR prior to investment.

3x or 5x returns when the market is bearish, of course it will be very difficult,
because all altcoins will also follow the Bitcoin price, Bitcoin Dump then altcoins will also join the Dump,
but indeed for now the altcoin price is already at the bottom, so it's not wrong if you want to invest in altcoins,

When it talks about the safest investment - the answer would be Bitcoin.
But if we talk about possible 4x leverage for 2 years - not from your list. You are just simply referring to hyped projects which is totally risky and you are just like gambling win/loss, but I suggest not to look at that. If you are very particular in regards to safe investment, make yourself aware also that it was a slim chance to multiply your money in a short period of time, maybe doubling it is possible but not 4x.

Easy choices, pick bitcoin.
I hold ETH too but not solana. If you're just going to think of 3x-5x of return then bitcoin is the choice now where we'll have a halving soon on 2024.
And that means that there will be a push to its demand and lesser supply which will make the price higher. Amongst them all, it's always safe to pick bitcoin whenever you're going to say at least long term investment. In 2 years time, halving will take place and the effect of it could be the same as what the 2020 halving did.

your safest choice of investing and make such return would be investing in higher ranked coin like eth, bnb, and sol, they are definitely the coin that have biggest chance of making comeback and reaches their former pricing.
moreover considering their value is already at such low, there's smaller chance of them getting even lower, so therefore they are the safest investment that you could get and make tremendous returns I guess.

That means major coins must become your best bet. I meant look at how bitcoin needs almost 3 times to reach its ATH again. Ethereum needs around the same multiplier like bitcoin to achieve ATH and solana already dumped so hard.
I think that would better if you are adding more tokens in your list. this can be some top 50 CMC. all of them in your list are safest bet for now. You must diversify your portfolios. I see that those coins have potential to give you huge return in the future.

Here are the additional details you can use to identify. You can check the All-time-high price and there you can see the percentage from its all-time high.
Among the list, Solana is the highest which is 87% as of the moment. The lowest is Bitcoin which is around 72%, very close to Ethereum.

So, let's say if you bought these 3 and they will go back to their all-time-high prices respectively. Then you will get high return on Solana. Just my 2 cents.

their network is always problematic, worried that it will be the second version of LUNA, I always avoid this project even though they have many advantages but the problem with their network makes me worry about losing money if I invest there, so it's better to choose ETH that has successfully merged and bitcoin father of all crypto

Ethereum and solana must be the safest place to bet. Solana has more potential to give you 3x - 5x return in long term. This caused by you can compare ATH with the current price of coin. Solana will give you the best ROI if it will able to reach ATH again. The fact that people are accumulating all of coins in the market for now. Ethereum will give you less compared with solana. I think that you can calculate this easily

I would put my hands off with Solana. That's not the first time that has happened to them.

It's alarming that it's always been like that and the devs might be taking their part of it and solving it but, it's not enough as the problem occurs again.

So, in my list, Solana is already out.

You can play dice and bet on a x3 game and can triple your $40k in less than a second. Your chance to win will be somewhere between 30% - 33% depending on the casino you are playing on. The best thing is, you won't have to wait at all. It will only take a second. (probably less)

If you invest in those coins (btc, eth, solana etc), you might have to wait months, years, maybe decades and still not get your 300% profit.

I already lost my previous 3 bitcoins in bustabit lol. Not again. I rather wait, with some certainty... better than a 50% 50% chance.

Out of the 3 coins you mentioned, of course bitcoin and ethereum are the better choices. I can't tell you how much profit you will make in the next 2 years or when the bull season comes but I can assure you that if the market bounces back and you buy at current price then these 2 coins will definitely bring you profit. As for solana, I think you should consider carefully, just yesterday it outage again and that is the 8th time this year, solana is a project that used to be highly rated and known as an ETH killer but unfortunately a top project outage 8 times and they have no other way to fix it.

For safety's sake, I would do ETH

Solana would be the best option in terms of returns, but given their blockchain has had a number of Outages before, I don't trust it. it might be another Luna in making. Who knows  ;D
ETH can easily achieve x5 in the next bull run. Think about extending that time frame to at least about 3 years, just in case.

In that 2 years span, will you just hold, or will take advantage of the price swing?

Actually, it should be you that will decide as it's in your own hands to be a success. You can do experiments like 50% Bitcoin then do some diversifications. Since if you asked me, I will put that 100% into Bitcoin and then let it sleep for a while disregarding the risks.

The safest bet? I would definitely say Bitcoin, it has proven already, 2017 and 2021 bull run. In 2020 see it plummet to $3k because of the pandemic then going to a massive run of $69k.

Ethereum went below $100 in 2018, and then also have a magical run to $4k and up.

Not sure about Solana, it's just new as compare to those prime movers. So I would same both of them are the safest and could give you a good returns in the next 2 years. And your timing is just about right because it is project that we will have another massive bull run in 2024-2025, so it's better to start now. And simply buy and hold, nothing spectacular.

Try finding some altcoins on Top 100 coins on CMC since they have good foundations, Just be meticulous on details since there are some projects who has a holes or potential risk just like TERRA before. There are no guarantee on holding on any altcoin in the market but remember that when a bull market arrive, most projects are going skyrocket especially those who are on top 100. I don't want to recommend altcoin especially because you are expecting 4x after 2 years time which is basically short for me. ETH is my safest bet but I don't think you will earn as much as 4x.

So what if the market is in a bearish zone? Don't tell me that we should wait first for the market to normalize before we start investing. Doing so can kill some of our supposed to be profits. If we want to maximize our earning potential then we should only invest at the bear or much better if we can wait at the bottom.

Bnb isn't in the list but bnb came from binance so the coins is safe however I don't think it can grow faster than in bitcoins because I believe that the value of other altcoins will only rely in btc so btc should grow first before them. Btc is now sitting at $20k so when it returns to its last ath (for sure it will) then that is going go be an easy 3x but its growth won't stop there. It's expected that it can go over $100k so that is going to be 5x return or possibly more than that.

Bitcoin and ethereum are the best choices and you cannot really go wrong with them, also your expectations during that time frame are reasonable, after all in two years we will see another halving and this will most likely bring yet another bull market, which will move the price of bitcoin and ethereum close to their ATH or even surpass it by that time, and this will easily fulfill your need for a minimum return of 3x on your investment during that time frame.

If we do talk about 2-3x then i would go for Solana but if you do go for the safer site at least then Bitcoin would be the best. 2x-3x could be still possible on Bitcoin.
We would be talking about 40k and 60k and 80k price which we know that the ath is sitting almost on 70k.If we do talk or speak about possible reversal or
recovery of the entire market specially with Bitcoin then we could really tell that it does have the chance on doing so, plus it is the father of all crypto then
we do really have those kind of hopes and anticipations that this would really be the best choice and the safest thing even though its not 100% but we could
really presume out basing on community support which is mainly been put up through Bitcoin.Its just common sense and you would eventually

be very careful with altcoins, in this case I only recommend that you buy bitcoin only, altcoins are dangerous in this sense:

Bitcoin, ethereum and solona which are good in terms of investment expecting 3X to 5X return. Whenever we make an investment it is a must to go find the history of the market movement of those assets. If you go through all these, it is possible to see the growth providing more than 5X growth. With trust can invest, but one should have the patience unlike the investment.

No safe coins to did multiple returns like that. Bitcoin and all of major coins are not safe heaven to give you bunch of money instantly. You can imagine for those who have bought bitcoin at 60k and they must be desperate with their decision about that. I think that you must also aware about this too.
The problem is these days there are so many tokens that offering huge promise. Major coins are good for long term hodl but no guarantee if that can give you at least 3 times from your investment

Dunno if he just misunderstood it when you say "safest bet" or it was only just a joke but I don't think so because there is no smileys in his post and his tone seems to be like he mean it but you just said "safest" and gambling is obviously not safe but its the most riskiest way of making a money. The only advantage it can give to you is that you can instantly multiply your money but that is if you got lucky. It's still not recommended though.

It would be better if will just sacrifice some time to wait because that is more surer. We don't know what are running in the mind of cryptos. Maybe they can just pump hard one day. This is the good thing about them. They are full of surprises.

Yeah true, safest is a word that you can't use in the crypto world, people are expecting way too much money for this to work but in reality we are not going to have it at all, it is going to be something that would not be profitable at all if you end up investing into what you consider safest at all times and not realize the risk.

I would say "safest" in theory is bitcoin because it has been at the top for so many years, but we have seen how that dropped as well, so be ready for a drop at any time with even the safest of the options. If I had that kind of money, I would buy bitcoin with most of it, and then you can spread it around the rest.

eth could easily make recover and if you invested right now the recover could easily make you earn tremendous returns, unlike sol and btc which still relatively have quite good valuation it didn't get as bad as eth.
therefore if i'd choose, i will easily choose eth since high ranked coin in bad state like eth meaning once it make recovery it gonna be huge recovery of its valuation.

That's not a guarantee that bitcoin can grow from its current price to $60k because we don't know when bitcoin will start moving. We can only predict it will begin next year. For the rest, we can only leave it to the market. And I guess if they only invest in bitcoin, it will be more than enough because they don't need to focus on many coins. In addition, the price of bitcoin can indeed increase in the future so investing in bitcoin is worth it.

Why not just buy all of those?  and just add a little in Ripple , and Cardano and the rest will be depend on your views , but with 40k expecting to at least x3-5 ? then best to take all the listed coins and yes you may earn surely though assuring that expectation would be harder lol.

If Bitcoin is the best, but you like Solana, then invest in Solana. So you feel happy with your investment.
If you expect a 4x increase, of course there will be no increase if Bitcoin has not started. But if Bitcoin has started, don't hesitate, Ethereum and Solana will also follow Bitcoin.

I'll go for Bitcoin and ETH because these coins are already well-established. However the chances to achieve your 4x investment return is possible in Solana since the previous ath is not as expensive compared to Bitcoin and eth. But if you're looking for the safest then go for the well-established coins because they are already proven to be worthy to hold though you might need to extend your set period since it might take longer years before these coins can achieve your target price.

Just buy Bitcoin mate,  since it is number one in your list as this was Altcoins section yet Bitcoin is one of the safest and can assured to bring us profit in a year or 2? or maybe atleast surely 3 years from now.

Just go for major coins if you are only expecting three times return for your invesment, i will not suggest you to invest more money into the major coins if you are expecting even higher than it. Remember that bitcoin was only going down 80% from ATH. It seems like major coin will be even more difficult to increase in the future.

probably on that average for 2 years it would be bitcoin that can guarantee a good return IMO. indeed it's been how many times trying to break the current ATH in the last bull run so it's expected to improve more in the future..

When it comes solana i don't have trust because they're stuck up till now and seems keep losing interest from big investors. So its quite skeptical to trust especially in the long long run.

This is also a reason why I kept Holding my SOL though Cardano is my next to Ethereum Altcoin yet it is a good way of investing both , while also I am holding the two top coins Bitcoin and Ethereum .

with all of those ? I can competently say this to be a best choice of investment comparing to other currencies .

Some altcoins can offer better profits than what bitcoin offers during the same time span, but it is a mistake to think that all the altcoins in the market can offer that kind of performance, the OP already has a capital that is big enough so I do not see the point of taking the risk of investing in a coin like Dogecoin or Shiba Inu, yes the profits can be better but the losses can also be massive, so it is better to take the safest path and just buy bitcoin and be done with it.

I honestly doubtful any coin that you mentioned could make such tremendous increase in just 2 years, I think they will instead recover back their former value before the crash and that's it. if you want that much returns I think meme coin is the only choice, of course there are many new coins that isn't meme coin that could score such tremendous increase but then again investing in new coin is like investing in meme coin, out of many you will just lose your money.

Im not sure about that but yeah this has been trading at the bottom price but it seems like that the project gets stuck even if it's already listed on binance exchange site as the biggest exchange site. It has no impact to the price for now. There are so many exchange sites are also listing this token as well. I will pick another choice like mana or sandbox as the best choice rather than cfx

Yeah that's best selection compare to other alts and instead of selecting only one of them much better he split the amount to invest and buy those 3 alts since most provably he can get much better result if he only choose one. Also hopefully we cannot experience the same crisis on what people set as a timeline so that we can experience some good pumps.

Only bitcoin alone? What about solana and ethereum? All of them are actually good for long term especially eth as the merge has already done. People are expecting a big growth from its price. For solana, it is stuck because we are still in a bear market and as you can see, other coins are also on the same situation but wait till the bear ends and you will see that they will race towards their new all time high.

BTC is definitely going to be the first on this race and then followed by eth. Can't say if sol will be the third because there are similar projects who are like sol but one thing is for sure and that is sol will show a significant increase.

I basically have the same thoughts, if the OP was looking for something like 10x or more profits then I would recommend that he took the time to look for altcoins with good reputation and a lot of potential to invest in them, but since he wants lower profits than that and he seems to be willing to wait until we are close to the next bull run then it makes sense that he invest in bitcoin alone, this way he will obtain his profits while at the same time he simplifies the process and he only has to worry about one coin instead of three.

but with bitcoin alone could hardly make 300% increase, the only thing that could occured with alts in general since such tremendous increase would need quite huge capital if happened to bitcoin to begin with, alts in general makes more sense for higher returns and of course with the consequence of volatility that could make the investments loses.

I wouldn't invest in any of those three. Bitcoin you won't get rich holding it unless you are already rich. Ethereum is a dead end; they don't even have L1 transaction sharding in their roadmap so the chain will bloat again if it gets any use and we will be back to paying 500 dollars in gas fees for 5 dollar NFTs. Solana? LOL, it's been down what, 12 times now? I suggest looking into ICP and XRP, both of these will become the new standards for internet and finance.

This is Altcoin section so we must take out Bitcoin to the advises because that is behind the section , I will suggest you to make sure that  Ethereum will be part of your Folio , and of course solana is one good coin that can be replaced to Ethereum that mostly having problem about the High transaction fees.

also if you are planning to extend to other altcoins? then best to check Ripple at least with the cheapest price now? adding this to your holding will not hurt you from keeping.

supporting about XRP mate but everything you said against those big 3 coins is not in support, because it is not about being rich but at least earning good enough and safer.

Definitely a huge NO NO for me on the XRP, I would say replace SOL with ADA, that's a good idea because SOL had so many troubles while ADA kept on improving, and add in BNB because it is by far the third biggest name for a long time.

It's going to be a profitable venture, just add in a few others for like 1000 each which would not be that much, like maybe 5-6 of them, and 20k on bitcoin and 10k on ethereum and then 5k on whatever you decided to invest, could be bnb or ada, and you have a great portfolio which will have 5x easily in the upcoming years, not right now, but it will definitely have that kind of return in the long term for sure 100%, or at least I believe so.

You may need to actually wait longer than 2 years if you want to get at least 4x of your investment. For Bitcoin it actually took more than 4 years to at least doubled the amount of initial price on that day and it would take longer especially with how big the price currently is. But your choice is pretty neat I would say, I would add BNB to the list because the potential is still high in few years.

It is true that finding hidden isn't easy and it's really tough to choose good one. For new projects, there is a big risk to lose our valuable money. But risk can bear good return. There are a lot of coins for investment but these will take some more times to give you profit. These are good choices for long term investment. Besides, more market analysis and crypto knowledge are much needed to get higher profit.

We can expect market will be bullish within that time. So it sounds possible to have 4x return from your 40k$‌. Bitcoin and ether are always safe for investment. Recent merge of ether may decreased its price but not that much. So its an opportunity to have btc and ether. Solana has many problems that are still unsolved. This isn't even a competition, bitcoin.  Every bull run bitcoin has reached new heights and is the gold standard during those runs.  Bitcoin goes up other things go up, bitcoin goes down so does the market.  Buying the coin that controls the market is the safest play you can make in crypto.  No Singular news will break bitcoin down whereas it can for alts

There's no such thing but using up your own common sense then Bitcoin would be the safest choice but of course it wont really guarantee out that you would be making money in 2 years but
seeing potential of bitcoin for a long time then its high chance that you could make money but dont expect about 4x average on short years basis.
Its up to you if you would be touching up other altcoins for you to chase up that kind of multiplier because if you do stick into those top ranking or established
coins then you cant really see those things on short term basis.

If we want a safe investment for the long term, we definitely have to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum. In addition to always dominating
the market,  both Bitcoin and Ethereum also have a good track record. So it is quite reasonable if we end up expecting a profit of up to 4x
from the long-term investment that we make. Regarding investment in Solana, we really have to be more careful, because as you said Solana
there are still some unresolved problems. But because Solana is a potential coin, I still recommend Solana as an investment option that
we can take. But of course we can't allocate too much money to invest in Solana and we still have to focus on investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Because investment diversification is a very good thing to do, it never hurts to try investing in other altcoins that we consider potential.
But make sure to do research and analysis first to make sure we are not wrong in choosing projects for investment.

there's no safest bet here especially the crypto market. better diversify your portfolio, and invest outside the crypto market. 2 years is a long time in crypto, but if you happen to invest some in real-estate, this will be a good one as real estate properties tend to increase its value over time.
for cryptocurrencies, diversify it and if he wants, he can put more on btc. eth and sol are good ones too. it is on him how much he will allot to these projects.

40k is not a small amount of money, you can have it all with
Btc 50%
ETH 30%
Sol 20%

For 2 years there is a possibility that the market will return to a bull run which could benefit you to get x 5 or more. and now I think the price is low enough which can make our investment more profitable in the future.

Like what most experts says and like what i've followed? diversification is always the best way to keep safe our funds in our investments .

But diversifying in altcoins is not true diversification, we know that altcoins are heavily correlated to bitcoin, or to put it in other terms when bitcoin goes up altcoins do the same and when bitcoin goes down the same happens to altcoins, so you are not protecting your capital at all by doing something like that, if you want to achieve that effect then you need to invest in other markets, but when you do so then your profits will be reduced as this market performs really well when we are in a bull run.

As long as you can pick the right shit token from the market and that will be quite easy for you to make it happen. I meant look at the fact about how it was become the main aim for the small investors to search the small cap with huge potential to be used as their way to make decent money from the pump that can occur anytime. that means if they are still looking for small cap tokens for decent return.

Projects like CAKE, Alpaca and MAXX that enable lock ups normally provide higher returns. MAXX finance for example has staking rewards up to 88% if you lock up but the 2 year lock up is probably closer to 40% using the APY boosting limited edition NFTS.

This may seem easy but it is not, not only you need to pick the right shitcoin in which to invest you also need to do it at exactly the time the shitcoin happens to pump, and with more than 10k coins in the market you still think this is easy, because there is no way this is true, it is because of this that we recommend that people stay away from shitcoins as even if the potential profits can be great the chances you will obtain losses are way higher.

Not only shit tokens as those that are already trading in high volume can also give you 3x to 5x, with cryptocurency those are very small gain because Bitcoin can also give you such gains. Don't think only shit project gives does type of gain and go searchings for them, that'll make you lose your capital instead research on those project that are trading in top exchange and buy them at their lows so when they increase you can get such gains.
Investing in shitcoin should be a risk that you have to use very small capital to get huge reward and the gains should be from the 10x above so $100 can give you $1000k and above.

True, someone looking for realistic profits like 3x to 5x should not even waste their time with shitcoins and they could even avoid strong altcoins as well, bitcoin is more than enough to reach those profits, for example bitcoin is trading at 20k is it really that difficult to imagine that bitcoin could reach at minimum 80k during the next bull run? Because to me that is a given, and if that is the case then investing in bitcoin is the best choice for those which are looking for relatively small profits.
