i heard about bitcoin for the very first time when I driving my car back to my home from university and in the radio between songs, the presenter began to joke about bitcoin. Something like that:

"will you believe? Someone made up their money, called it bitcoin. The funniest thing is that their price has exceeded that of the dollar. What an absurdity."

Yep. That day bitcoin broke 1$. I did nothing ... I was too focused on parties and girls.I accepted the narrative of the presenter that it is actually absurd that someone even wants to have money invented by someone, most likely centralized. Next time I heard about bitcoin was in 2017 after it broke 10 000$ and thats when I bought it for the first time.

I first heard about the bitcoin in the spring of 2016 when it cost $600. It was then that I was really interested in it, but I stopped at installing a wallet and then I never bought btc. Now I consider it one of my mistakes, because I didn't complete the work I started and there was a great opportunity to buy cheap bitcoin. Before 2016, I also heard about btc, but didn't attach any importance to this, not knowing anything about the technology and not understanding the possibilities that btc gives.

I don't remember exactly, but I heard about it fairly early on. I ignored it, and considered it to be a nonsense fad that would go away eventually. It didn't, and I eventually started paying more attention. My loss, same old "I wish I had been an early adopter" story. Good to keep an open mind I guess. I didn't, and I missed out on the chance of a lifetime.

if you buy at that price on January 2017, for sure you got rich at the end of the year, are you profit or regret it?
I heard about bitcoin in January 2019, At that time the price is about $4,000 I bought a bit, then sent it to my own wallet until June 2019 I sold it for $11,000. I still regret why I sold it. If I am enough patient until November 2021, I will be happier. this is my story when known bitcoin for the first time.

That's the interesting thing about bitcoin, no one can predict the future of bitcoin and the reward is always for the person who stays last. I think you don't need to regret selling bitcoin at that time because we are looking for profit here and you got pretty good return that bitcoin gives. Past mistakes will be lessons for us in the future, so there's no need to regret the past.

If you don't want to regret again then now is your chance and all of us, buy bitcoin now and plan for the future to sell only when the set goal is reached. I got into the market very early myself but I also sold out of my bitcoins during bear season 2018 it was a really unfortunate time but it was a lesson for me when I got back into the market in 2020.

Remembering the first time about Bitcoin I don't remember it forgetting because it's been more than 5 years from now I have known bitcoin.

Yes at first it seemed strange with this digital currency and I thought it wouldn't last long so I always ignored and never studied more deeply about Bitcoin because I focused on other work so it was my fault why didn't I just dive into it or buy when time was still cheap while I was still working and of course on every payday I would definitely buy it if I knew it was Bitcoin that would boom in the future, but I think at the beginning they met Bitcoin they wouldn't be too serious but over time they have understood how this Bitcoin asset really is valuable now and in the future.

But I've never regretted it before for not buying more Bitcoin at a low price, but now I'm even more consistent to keep hoarding Bitcoin, it's never too late even though the price is high, whenever you buy it is the best price in your opinion.
Investment in Bitcoin will have no expiration time, the longer you keep the higher the value of the asset.

Someone celebrated ATH in 2013, while I was still clueless about Bitcoin. 😂

Little shy after seeing several reply here know with Bitcoin almost ten years ago and I am still new with Bitcoin because I know Bitcoin when price still under $1,000 around 2016. First time I know with bitcoin is not investment way but only used for digital currency I used for investing in many kind of hype project, after another digital currency like PayPal banned using for deposit fund in hype project I move to other currency is Bitcoin.

I don't know about Bitcoin is the best way for investing but after price pump drastically give motivation to make Bitcoin as investment assets not only using for digital currency joining with hype project. Not in my minds with Bitcoin can reach until higher price when first time I know with bitcoin still have lower price under $1,000.

You get to know about bitcoin around 2017, and you neglected it, thinking it won't last or won't go behold her price then. Now that you decide to know more about the financial freedom bitcoin gives, make use of the opportunity very well and invest in what you can afford to lose.

I first heard about bitcoin through a friend, that introduce me to this forum, from there I got the necessary information and knowledge I needed to grow in crypto. Which am enjoying the benefits now

Then he explained a little that BTC is a Digital Coin just that.. the main perpouse of chat was to describe how his Uncle is making good profit from it and thats it everything was about Profit. Then i learned about Blockchain and Bitcoin.

I heard of about Bitcoin because of those ponzi and hyips around on social media..Thats the first time hearing about bitcoin and my first impression that it is really some sort of easy money
that you could really get from but thats not how reality works.
I do have regrets on spending and wasting off lots of bitcoins back into those early years when i do first know it.I do spend and invest just like there's tomorrow and all of them
was just wasted because it turned out to be a scam.
Well, lets just move on and proceed on what are the current things that we've been dealing with.

No friends such questions can never be absurd.A lot of people enter this bitcoin through a medium and they probably need a topic like this to express those mediums. But I entered this bitcoin in 2013. But me and a friend of mine were the first two to enter Bitcoin after hearing the news through some news media. From there we start doing analysis and step by step. This is how we first got into Bitcoin.

Let me see if I can still remember the first time for me to ever heard on Bitcoin. In my recollection, I think I must gotten into it via Facebook all because some of my online friends started to get of Bitcoin and so they started talking. Actually, BTC is not my first ever coin I hold but something like a scam TBC where everyday growth of the value is guaranteed. Then I started to get interested with bounties where back then many people really made good money...just like a newly opened goldmine.

For sure, most of the people who started to use or heard of Bitcoin are from the internet. Even mine, I have before some internet gigs or sideline to make a few bucks off the internet for giving some of my time of a day, and that's the time I was still a student. And that's the time I started to explore Bitcoin and it is very life-changing, a lot of lessons were learned by just using and learning Bitcoin.

I first heard about bitcoin when I was an undergraduate student at the university. If my memory serves me well, people who sold it to us back then marketed it to us as a pyramid scheme. I concentrated on my schoolwork since I was too poor to be interested. A few of my classmates became wealthy and purchased vehicles, while some  dropped out to focus on it. Actually, even after many years,  both categories they are still in favor of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and prospering.

I think I heard about bitcoin at news' websites a long time ago (during the initial years of btc) and was even told by someone close to me who also heard about it, but we didn't give any special attention to bitcoin on that time. It was only after some years that I was finally introduced to bitcoin by a stranger on the internet who taught me step by step how to setup a btc wallet and how to start earning btc for free.

Now I regret a lot, because if I had been more curious regards bitcoin when I firstly discovered its existence I could have been an early adopter, having access to cheap bitcoin and profitable faucets where I could collect up to 5 BTC per claim!

A week is a very short time to learn about Bitcoin and how to invest in Bitcoin. Because my experience has also been asking and learning about Bitcoin through other people is a month and it is ideal for a beginner who doesn't know about Bitcoin and also how to invest in Bitcoin.

So I am also curious about your very short study time, because it gives an assessment that you are a very extraordinary person in capturing every explanation about Bitcoin given by your friend. Don't you ask your friends again after that week?

Never regret the past. Because when people first learn about something, they don't have much focus on that thing. It's not just about you. You think about the present. Now the price of Bitcoin is very low. But will it be like this after 6 years? Of course not.And still there are many people who don't know about Bitcoin. 6 years from now when they learn about bitcoin they will regret learning about bitcoin 6 years ago just like you. So you should increase your confidence in Bitcoin, since you have been able to see Bitcoin predictions 6 years earlier than them.

I first heard about bitcoin from a friend who introduced me then to a Ponzi scheme then called zarfund that built their crowdfunding format around bitcoins. The price of bitcoins then was relatively low and I must mention that I didn't expect expect bitcoins to go so high because after the Ponzi scheme crashed and I lost my money, I didn't seek to know more about bitcoins maybe because i was depressed about it, until after a while when it started becoming a popular and regular discussion amongst my friends.

It's been eight years since I heard of Bitcoin. Back then, I was a college student, and I didn't start earning money yet. I got an android device, and I was searching how to make money from the internet. Some article forwarded me to a casino website with a faucet feature. So, I used to claim faucets and place bets. I remember I managed to do without a couple of times, but I wasn't in the mode to hold it. Or, I didn't understand that it would be good to keep it. I sold them and bought an internet recharge. That's all I did back then.

There is nothing wrong with the question, it makes me think of how eager I was to learn about bitcoin at the time. I was influenced by friends' frequent discussion of it at the time, and I was envious because I rarely have anything to add when they are talking. However, today, my own research has turned into something useful for this forum and myself, I have learned things about bitcoin here that my friends don't even know half of. Bitcoin is the best, and I can't even talk about the technical and development discussion knowledge I've gained.

You're in the right place then.

All you need to do is to read those topics that might get your interest because that's how most of the people here got to know more about bitcoin. Topics that will make you interested like trading bitcoin, technicalities about it and other discussions related to it.

Although the biggest deal is always about its value and price but there's more to it if you wanna know more about it.

It is easy to remember when we know Bitcoin but the problem is that it was too late we realized how valuable is this as we are too negative about it on the day we heard about this. Maybe, if during that time the first time we encounter the name Bitcoin and started to buy this, I can't really imagine what gonna happen to us after. It is just remembering the past how we make the wrong decision like ignoring Bitcoin but of course, I feel no regrets because that is really how we deal with new things.

It was in early 2014 when I heard about Bitcoin. It’s where I just simply created my Bitcointalk account, Coins PH wallet, etc. But the problem is that I have doubts on Bitcoin back then and I was broke in which I cannot afford to buy when it was like under $600 per BTC.

I ignored it for more than 3 years. I just came back here after Bitcoin reached $10,000 for the first time. Yes there are many regrettable moments of ignoring to buy Bitcoin early and here we are right now sitting between $19k to $20k as of this time of writing.

I just got to know bitcoin in early 2017 from some of my friends who have known it for a long time, and at that time I only met again after I stopped working because my contract expired.
and when we get together, they always talk about bitcoin which makes me confused because I don't understand and also don't know at all and moreover I'm surprised they have a lot of money even though they don't have a job because at that time to get free bitcoins was very easy according to them. And a few weeks later I was interested and asked about bitcoin finally they taught very clearly and finally I am interested until now, and they also brought me to this forum.
They are very meritorious because without them I would not be who I am today, how are you, my friend, I wish you good health and success always.

I think then many people put all their focus on ponzi schemes because it comes in double very fast. People didn't give bitcoin much attention to try it maybe because they needed something faster, not having the patience to wait,  and not believing in it because it was something new. I'm among the persons not embracing bitcoin earlier,  sometimes I just feel if I had known I would have tried bitcoin just the way I was taking risks going about ponzi, but all the same am happy I know bitcoin now, to me it is never late knowing bitcoin.

the first time i got to know crypto, namely bitcoin, when i was eating in a restaurant with my family in front of me there were some people who looked luxurious they were talking about buying bitcoin and about investing in bitcoin it was like gold is much better.
the longer i listen to their stories i feel curious about what bitcoin is and after eating at that restaurant i opened up on google looking for information about bitcoin and a few weeks i became more and more curious about it all and then i found this forum in 2016 when the bitcoin price under $1000.
and with that curiosity i quickly understood what bitcoin is and about investing in bitcoin after that i decided to try to invest in bitcoin with my small money of $100 and i tried to have this thought like gold that i have to hold on to for several years. and in the end in 2017 i got married and at that time also the bullish bitcoin price reached the highest price at that time and i sold it.
but stupidly i was too busy with family life after marriage i didn't buy anymore. and it was only the beginning of 2019 that i started buying and until now i can still feel investing in bitcoin

Truly I heard about bitcoin through a brother but wasn't greatly enlighten about how it works, in fact there is no clear education but I always find him around bitcointalk here promoting bounty's and I asked him what he always does online and all I could received from him is that you won't understand how it works less until you belong to the forum then you can read more things for your self.
Then i make an account here yet I felt very lazy to utilized the opportunities, later run I also heard about bitcoin in a Radio station I was like my brother is into this bitcoin of a thing then I ran back home and open my PC began to dip my head down here to know more things. Perhaps, it wasn't an easy task to seat in a place to read about what I don't know about but today I always appreciate the forum for what I have turned into

I already used digital currencies long before I got interested in Bitcoin. The problem was, they were centralized such as Liberty Reserve. The first time I heard about bitcoin and the first time it got offered to me, has to be either in 2010 or 2011. Without doing any research, I rejected the idea of being paid in this relatively unknown coin at that time. I could have filled my pockets with hundreds and thousands of BTCs only if I knew then what I know now. But, I am not complaining and I am still happy I got in relatively early.

At that time bitcoin was not well known in Indonesia, many people did not understand it, especially in the first 5 years of its emergence. I don't remember the exact date and time, but I do remember that someone introduced me to trading and how to make a profit from it.

I know your question has been asked by many other users before but it went by so quickly that I truly believe in the future I will see someone ask this again. The OP certainly didn't care when you got to know bitcoin, by now you better know and probably already have it. You don't have to be an early adopter to make a profit, but have bitcoin now and keep them in the long term to get the benefits worth it.

I almost forgot when exactly I started hearing about crypto. What I heard wasn't crypto but the name "Bitcoin," and I didn't know that apart from bitcoin, there were many altcoins at that time. And I focused on getting bitcoins through the faucets that were very popular at the time by having an account at almost every faucet I knew.

My wish at that time was how I could have more bitcoins. And along the way, I started getting to know several altcoins, such as dogecoin, ltc, dash, namecoin, peercoin, and so on. I had a little regret not trying to get to know bitcoin better in 2010-2011 but it has happened.

I think I heard of it for the first time when the news of Silk Road being closed hit the news. Maybe it was Silk Road 2.0, so some time in late 2014, I guess, if not early 2015. But I wasn't very interested. After all, I learned about it from the context of black markets, so it seemed like it was the sort of weird money people use to buy drugs. I wasn't into drugs or into anything that seemed shady, so I didn't think anything of it. But eventually, I got more interested and more involved, learning that it can be used for other things and how different it is from the traditional fiat money.

the first time I have heard about bitcoin was on a Italian newspaper called "La repubblica" (I think it was 2013 maybe early but unfortunately I miss the chance to buy something or start professional mining :( )
Assange's site was just banned by Visa Mastercard and Paypal... the site was just accepting bitcoin for their donations.
I remember the critique for that choice (something like, they will close soon their activity) by the way they are still here, and bitcoin meanwhile has doing great progression as technology and "economic" value.

I can't recall the exact year when I meet with Bitcoin. But I can recall that the Bitcoin price lowest I have seen is $900, and still, I regret sometimes why I hadn't accumulated. At that time I wasn't interested in Bitcoin and lost some funds into revnsahre sites. That time had been used Pyaza or Perfect Money. I had been thinking about how to use Bitcoin since it's volatile. Yea, definitely I was stupid at the beginning like most newbies. Anyway, now realize how worthy is Bitcoin.

I think in 2017 while making a research on earning from Faucets and Captchers after performing some time consuming tasks of which payment is via Satoshi, that was how I got to know bitcoin I got interest in it instantly made some further checks, I understand that Satoshi is the unit of Bitcoin and many more facts about Bitcoin without wasting time I kickstarted the process of creating a wallet using blockchain.info then before it became blockchain.com invariably started working on faucets and filling Captchers my earnings is paid straight to my wallet though small, I always remembered those period with nostalgia it was indeed a memorable experience.

My case is that in 2017 I heard in news that Bitcoin that is a digital cryptocurrency Crossed real gold for the First time. At that time it's price was above 1000 dollars. And that git me interested and I want to know more about crypto and now I am here and I making post 😁
if you buy at that price on January 2017, for sure you got rich at the end of the year, are you profit or regret it?
I heard about bitcoin in January 2019, At that time the price is about $4,000 I bought a bit, then sent it to my own wallet until June 2019 I sold it for $11,000. I still regret why I sold it. If I am enough patient until November 2021, I will be happier. this is my story when known bitcoin for the first time.

We don't know that because the OP just said that he heard it the first time way back 2017 and haven't said that the OP invested afterwards after learning the price was still a little over than $1000 but I surely hope so that he or she invested right after because that specific year was quite interesting. About me, I heard it first on 2017 too but that didn't get me interested and started investing last 2019.

Heard about Bitcoin in 2016 and later bought the idea in 2017, then it seems to me like it was a ponzi scheme, later Bought my first Bitcoin late 2017 and sold out all due to fear that Bitcoin was gonna crash like other business that was making headline news then in my Country, Therefore I viewed Bitcoin in that way and what a regret, if I had actually kept my until now without selling it all, however I can't blame myself because there was no proper information given to me then about Bitcoin like the information I have now.

Seems not any interested from Bitcoin because first time I know Bitcoin is not investment assets, day by day after I know with Bitcoin have chance with price increasing to earn much profit with Bitcoin investment. Get me chance forget with many kinds hype project and focus for investing in Bitcoin then spent much money for earning with hype without guarantee how long keep profitable and get capital back.

I know with Bitcoin almost lately and could be different my financial if early I know with Bitcoin, hope keep go ahead and have many planning with Bitcoin for investment assets at the future.

^I don't remember where exactly I heard BTC but as I remember it was somewhere on the internet back in 2015.
At that time Bitcoin faucet is very popular and I am searching for free money on the internet until I found BTC then I start digging for information and searching more faucet websites to have free BTC until I found freebitco.in which I thought before it was only a faucet but it is a gambling casino.
When people have an interest, they will find ways to learn on their own, they don't need people to teach them as long as they will understand how it will work they will go for it.

First time I heard about Bitcoin was back in 2013-2014. I was 16-17 years old.
I heard some of my class companions talking about Bitcoin and about mining, also about how one could mine Bitcoins to earn some money just letting one's computer on all the time, etc.

I did not give it much importance because back then I was very young and mostly into school and other teenager things.
I continued  hearing about Bitcoin as years passed until I decided to overcome my fear to volatility, get more informed and buy Bitcoin as a tool to manage my personal finances and as investment in the long term.

In 2011 was the first time someone mention bitcoin to me, and i didn't put attention on that time and just let it go. 3 years after that i made my first bitcoin transaction, and it's fun because in 2014 i was feeling like i come late to this party, but with the years you learn that this party isn't over yet, and you are never late for it.

The bitcoin community and the way to buy it and sell it was totally different, now it's really simple.

Agree with you. Even if they join now, it's not too late because they can still buy and keep bitcoins today.
The year 2011 was the early years of the development of bitcoin or crypto, where not many people knew or heard of it, so for those who joined after this year, it felt a bit late to join.
But it's never too late to join bitcoin because we can join whenever we want.
I don't remember exactly when I joined or started using bitcoin but I think it was before 2014 but I'm not looking for more information about bitcoin.

It was also back in 2017 when I first head about cryptocurrencies (BTC to be specific) and I was baffled about it. As someone who had no experience or anything whatsoever, the thought of having a decentralized currency was truly astonishing! Especially when my friend introduced me to this forum, it opened a plethora of opportunities to invest and to discover about the existence of BTC.

Now that it has been 5+ years now, I can truly say that BTC is something that is something innovative that everyone should know. I just hope that government prohibitions would allow its further implementation in order to take advantage of its uses.

I got to know Bitcoin around the middle of 2015. So maybe it's been almost 7 years that I've been with bitcoin following which way they're going. With Bitcoin I can have an extra income, it keeps me and my family enough for living expenses. Although I am currently getting a better job, Bitcoin is still an alternative to the extra income I get through trading. There are no regrets about Knowing Bitcoin, but it took a struggle to stay afloat to this day. I am sure that everyone who is convinced by bitcoin then he has enjoyed that belief. What I regret is that I am too late to join this forum. Because this forum is really very complete.

The first time I heard about bitcoin was thanks to a crypto project of an altcoin that later went to the ground, I did not know anything about bitcoin, in the project I was so maxilaistic that they said that currency was going to be bigger than Bitcoin, and as in that time and I did not know anything because I was ignorant I believed them, but when that currency fell and I do not know if it is currently a scam currency, I began to read about bitcoin and it was when I realized that this is the currency that It is the basis for all, there are still people in the world who do not know the whole truth about Bitcoin and that is the people who should know everything, that is why you have to talk and educate many people as much as possible about bitcoin, there are people who should wake up.

All of those days, the thing in our mind is on how to spend up those coins and make out direct conversions whenever we do earn or get those coins and without even minding about holding.
If i do remember and count all of those coins that i do have then i might be that millionaire as of this moment but well it is really just a pain on remembering those things that you had missed out in the past.
Hearing new things will really be making those mistakes which is really that very common. If i had really just accumulate Bitcoin and other altcoins which are top altcoins now then

First, I believe you need to understand this. There's nothing bad in making mistakes, and the only bad thing is not learning from the mistake through the habit of making the same mistake again.
Second, you can't compare a common man who lives by Bitcoin with someone who's financially stable and into cryptocurrency for investment purposes. However, the common can also choose to hold her investment if she's disciplined enough and use the DCA method.

Not really. Just like the OP, some of them heard it on the news and that can be in the national television and on the radio. There's also news paper but most who know bitcoin are internet people. Like you I was also looking for a sideline online and I keep on searching for more ways on how to maximize my earnings.

One day I stumbled upon bitcoin on some sites and that is the start of my crypto journey. They are life changing because many opportunities have been unlocked later on which are related to them. Their pay rates are quite decent when compare to the gigs that we do previously. You are a scholar but btc do also teach you an extra lesson which aren't being taught in any university. That's cool.

So i had to meet with him and get some basic idea and possibly got to know about this forum and yet i wasn't giving it much attention after awhile i started dipping into some important news about bitcoin, the last price dip (2017/18) made it populouse in my country flying all over the media.

A lot of us passed through BTC and memories how we acquire it. One thing we didn't know is that the value of BTC will reach more than $60K+.

I still remember how I spend my BTC on HYIP days when it gets a trend on the internet I lost some of it and it could be worth a lot today.

And I think the best option and strategy now is to buy altcoins that have big potential to increase their value in the future.

Well I can remember a Friend of mine told me about Bitcoin and the block chain technology in early 2020  in bar late night at one of our hangout in the town,he showed me online the price of 1 Bitcoin that was around $6,965.72. and we were foolish enough to consider it another click bait add or a diminishing technology and didn’t look ahead into the matter , Fast forward 11 months. At the year going ended at price of 1 bitcoin double $29,374 the highest it had ever been  that kind of growth grabbed my attention and i got deeper and deeper into the technology starting by learning the basics of blockchain technology to knowing how to mine bitcoin to how to trade it , Right now i am completely invested with all my earning into this budding technology and hopping that it would be the right bet at right time.

I was so stupid that I did not even care and did not bothered to investigate it further, I prompty considered it as one Ponzi scheme or scam and decided to ignore it completely. It was only in late 2013 that I looked at it with looking eyes and finally understood what is was all about. If I did the same back in 2011 I would be rich.

Despite all of this, once I understood what Bitcoin and cryptos were all about I promptly started to mine and started to use it as currency. This is actually one of the reasons I do not have more coins that I do now, but hell, I did contributed part of my life to it and help make it what it has become and ended up having my share.

Today, I can say Bitcoin changed my life to better. And we are still just starting the ride.

The first time I saw Bitcoin was when I was on Twitter. I had the opportunity to meet it because of an advertisement made by a crypto exchange.
I immediately started trying to understand its technology.  It was a long and tiring adventure for me. I'm glad I recognized and saw Bitcoin. You can't stay behind this technology.

This is my most painful memory. In 2011, my brother asked me to borrow money to buy a computer to mine bitcoins. I searched online for what bitcoin was and it said it was a scam. Then I turned my brother down, he was young and he couldn't carry out without my funds. The second time I heard about bitcoin was in 2019 when my boss introduced me to bitcoin again.
Didn't your brother argue you on why you said it was scam? He should have show you proofs that it was truly legit. This is why it's also important to listen on others and not just ignore them easily thinking that they are wrong and we are always right.

It was amazing that at his young age he is already interested on those things while many young people do only have an interest in video games and other things who are not really that beneficial for them. I think on that time, I was still a fresh graduate from highschool and I am only relaxing, and sometimes playing. I only heard bitcoins I think on 2014-2015 but I didn't got involved with it immediately. I dont know why so I also have a regret.

Just a normal impression by people who are not yet aware of its potential and that is just okay except for the regrets and such. But it will never be too late to engage with this developing technology. There is still that 'promising' future ahead for this industry. For sure there are people who had the same experience; being introduced to cryptocurrency before and not paying that much attention 'coz at first it won't be interesting if you are not really into it. What makes this technology interesting is the profit to be earned from investing and its nature of price volatility, atleast for now. It may not be interesting as a currency to some at the present, but anything which generates profit is wonderful right?

I don't know exactly when I'm sure when I heard about bitcoin and joined this forum just to find out I wasn't interested in owning it yet, but after the bitcoin price was around 1500 $ I said WOW this digital money is fantastic, but I don't have bitcoin in full, only a small part.
if at that time I bought at the beginning maybe today I already have many times more than my initial bitcoins
but let it pass, but now I am ambitious to be able to hold my btc to the next new ATH

I feel very lucky and grateful to my friend for being introduced to this forum.
I really get a lot of knowledge from this forum, not just theoretical knowledge written by online articles.
But really the knowledge that I got from people who have been involved in the cryptocurrency world for a long time.
Even here there are many places for discussion and we can be open to each other to share the experiences we have and our interest in cryptocurrencies.
Sometimes I think it's a waste I heard bitcoin so long ago but I just ignore it and do nothing about it.

True .. back in the days bitcoin for me and many people that time in 2012 bitcoin thing often linked with a ponzi scheme as there a lot of business model running with that way and uses bitcoin as one of the tool which make me personally thinks it was just yet another scam ponzi.

There are really a lot business offering you a member get member commision which paid by bitcoin , i went that way first as i was in affiliation business and get my first bitcoin through a random company that offers me commissions in bitcoin and then bitmedia introduce me a whole new level of bitcoin and then here i am.

I heard about it properly about 6 years ago whenan IT guys in the office was talking out it.

I think it was priced about USD7000 per bitcoin in those days.

Everyone seemed to be going crazy buying and i couldn't even understand how it worked.

is a summer. A friend told me that he made his first pot of gold (computer mining), and I was very curious. I learned some encryption knowledge from him. I feel very simple, I started to start, I found that Bitcoin can be invested (I usually research stocks, real estate and other investments). I started my investment journey.

I'm thankful my friends would tell me about Bitcoin. I lost a little money, but overall I made money.

don't worry friend you still have that chance. bitcoin will still remain the king of all coins commanding the highest price in the market.
so you still have the opportunity to have more for the future.
more and more years bitcoin is increasingly recognized by many people in various countries and they are fighting to buy and hold as a long-term asset which will later make the price even higher.
so it's a bearish season is our chance to buy cheap and have more when bitcoin hits a new ATH in the coming year

I also got to know bitcoin through my local ponzi project, back then I only knew bitcoin as a way to participate in that ponzi project, I never knew it could increase in value over time. After losing all my bitcoins with those scam projects I just started learning about bitcoin. It can be said that I missed a lot of opportunities to own bitcoins cheaply and use them to participate in ponzi projects without knowing how valuable bitcoins are.

Listening to the discussions of friends around me, when I heard the word "virtual", I felt that virtual currency was unreliable, so I didn't participate in the chat. Later, after they made a lot of money, I gradually understood the characteristics of the market and Bitcoin.

I learned about bitcoin through a random advertisement while playing online games. It says something about earning free money, after that, I searched about cryptocurrency and tried different faucets where I earned a decent amount of satoshi. I learned about it way back in 2013 however, I became interested in it when I joined this forum. I wish I could've invested more money when I first knew about bitcoin, the price of BTC during that time is just around $500.

I don't remember exactly when or where I encountered bitcoin, I also earned bitcoins through faucets and bitcoin bonus games. In 2012 and 2013, when the price of bitcoin was not too high, joining the faucets, we received a lot of bitcoin, not less like today.

Not only you, I believe many people regret like you for not investing much in bitcoin at the time. However, I think few people believed fully in bitcoin at that time since the future of bitcoin was uncertain and we regret seeing the development of bitcoin today. If given the opportunity to go back to the past and forget about the present, I believe we would never have invested in bitcoin at that time.

I still remember the first time I heard about Bitcoin : it was back in 2011 and Btc was only $5 the very first day I heard about it.
I used to spend some time playing online poker back then and a guy came on a  gambling forum I was member into : he was advertising the newly launched, now legendary,  poker site Sealswithclubs ( it was .org that time lol).
They held hourly freerolls with 0.01BTC  :o :o  prize pool and only a bunch of players were joining them : I remember I played there some days , placed ITM quite often but then wasted everything on cash games because I felt I was playing with playmoney .

Dropped that Bitcoin thing because I didn't understood what it was about ( I was just focused on poker) only to get back into in during 2013 bullrun ( $ 1000 ATH lol) starting to hear about it more often and remembering it was something I had bumbed into couple of years earlier. This forum was the first place I came to when I decided to reconsider the bitcoin thing in the hope I wasn't too late at it : which is where the choice of my nickname comes from  ;D .

Yes, it's one of my big regrets.

I first heard bitcoin from my uncle way back 2015 but I wasn't interested at that time because it was still too gibberish for me and I'm too indulged to do earthly things at the heigh of my teenager life. Only got interested last 2017 and that's was the start of my bitcoin career, if only we could get back at those times.

But I do agree, even if we had the same opportunity and had the chance to go back time, we still have the same response and won't still give bitcoin a chance to prove itself because I believe 2015 was the height of scams and pyramid schemes, so I don't really blame people if they look at the bitcoin as one of said scams/schemes.

It's really a great technique. I shared this with my friends at the time. Now my friend has made a lot of money in cryptocurrency. We usually discuss things together.

The first time I said Bitcoin was through a friend who had started working in the crypto world, and at first, I heard that bitcoin might be worthless physical coins and just a toy. But when I started reading about bitcoin and studying it I began to understand what bitcoin really is.

In 2016 I found this forum and my journey with bitcoin started from the moment I entered this forum. Bitcoin is not just a digital currency that its founder abandoned, Bitcoin continues to grow until now and is the most valuable digital currency that is not centralized and not regulated by anyone. Bitcoin became the forerunner of various altcoins and several other payment technologies.

Interestingly, we all make the same mistake of being exposed to bitcoin early on, but most of us don't pay attention to bitcoin and ignore it. It is only when it skyrockets in price that we start to notice it, which proves that most people don't like and want to avoid adopting something so new. But for those involved now, I think we are still in the early stages of the revolution, and we are still pioneers. That means we have an opportunity many people don't know about, so take advantage of accumulating bitcoin now so you won't regret it in the future when bitcoin hits 100k or 500k.

The reputation of bitcoin that year was not good. A lot of news is saying that bitcoin is used in drugs and the deep web; others also say it's a scam since they are only referring to ponzi, which mostly those newbies that don't know bitcoin will agree with, but we as we know what is really bitcoin got angry and showed our opinion in social media, but bitcoin proved itself by hitting and breaking its ATH, and that is why it attracts more people about it.

I've asked about this topic before I believe, and got some interesting responses.  It seem most people learned about it when they found out it could make them some money by a buddy or family member or whoever..  I am a little disappointed when I see that as it just feels like so few are actually learning about it for the first time in a better manor, like actually caring more about how it all works.  I found out about bitcoin sometimes in 2014, but can't remember how I did and that drives me nuts lol

It is not the first time that I heard about bitcoin that got my interest, but more like second time. The idea was that you could use it for online payments, and not something to invest, and I miss those days.

Back when I first heard about it, that was a method where I could get paid for my work, I used to do a bit of development, still do, I am in marketing so that means I do development, design and everything else a bit enough to know who I am hiring and how they work, you can't hire someone without knowing how good they are if you have no idea how to do it yourself. So, when I heard that I could work with everyone around the world and just get paid in crypto? That was awesome period, now it's all about investing and trading, very sad.

When I got introduced to bitcoin I didn't take it serious till when I see bitcoin change who introduced me to the forum.. If not I could have been a year older on bitcoin now.
But we still Thank God for the effort we put to this time for what bitcoin have been doing for us we still use for our economy and other things... Using for transactions without 3rd party or fiat
Much like the first time I heard about bitcoin, I was in disbelief and dismissed it as bullshit.
But immediately I fell silent and thought that crypto is really profitable for holders, especially bitcoin, because after some time I heard for the first time that some friends have experienced the benefits of holding bitcoin or other altcoin crypto assets.
From there I started to believe and participate in this forum to learn about cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin until now.
It is from this forum that I can understand how to use crypto as a source of my income.
