As per my experience, On 2018 Smart contract bubble came to altcoins , so all related to smart contract Alts became giants at that time. 2021 hot topic were Gaming,NFT ,Defi
. I think for 2024/2025 hot topics will be " Web3.0 , AI, and Machine learning ". what is your thoughts?

It's very hard to say that. As far as i can see there was no new thing come to the crypto and it seems like the next bullish trend will always be related with the things that are still in the development progress like metaverse, web 3.0 and any other things that currently exist in the market. I don't even think you will be seeing the new thing to come very soon. Im still investing in the current tech that is still being developed

For me, DeFi, NFT, Play2Earn will still exist but with more improvement.
For me, the gaming industry is on cryptocurrency. For me, what we have earlier or the start of gaming on cryptocurrency is not yet to the max, that's why I'm looking forward to it. eSports community is a huge and for sure, it's a big thing also in cryptocurrency.

yes i also agree with this guy the defi of course will be there and keep improving
gaming industry in blockchain is pretty early maybe it will be boom and really be played for everyone in 2025

the layer 1 will keep improving after eth2 merge the pos era and the efficient blockchain is already here in the 2025 i think become mainstream to see people buy and sell using crypto since it will blazingly fast and cheap

your thinking is amazing, I don't think that AI will become hype in the next bull, because indeed AI in the crypto world is still not hype,
especially in 2021 it is still around NFT, Metaverse and memecoin, this will be interesting if it is AI, Web3 will hype in future,

Only the guy with crystal ball can predict what you are asking because this is not a regular TA that you see the future trend by just looking at previous result. There’s a high chance that it will be related on Metaverse since it’s the year where Metaverse will be fully developed and innovate to new ideas inside them. I don’t know exactly what idea it is but I assume it will be an dapps inside a metaverse. Maybe a metaverse casino or anything else.

Web3 among other ones not known yet, i have seen the discussion of web3 constantly coming up in the crypto space. Recently, i attend a twitter space organized by guys from my country about web3 and crypto jobs, it was very insightful and educative.
I think the most attention is on web3 and by 2023/24 there will be lots of web3, AI projects, there will also be some defi and cefi but they will be few. Already, we a handful of project support web3 in preparation for what is yet to come. 

web3 is likely to be famous in 2025 but maybe there are other unique things that will be famous besides that, we will not know because every year there is always something new we see in this crypto, so as long as the market is still bearish web3 or any project will go down too, I hope to see the crypto market recover soon to rediscover people's trust in this great technology of blockchain now or in the future

I think altcoin season 2025 will still be about the metaverse and maybe AI, because both are still very relevant,
indeed for now because in the bear market there are a lot of metaverse coins such as MANA, SAND etc experiencing dumps,
but if you are a new investor then my advice is to buy and hold until 2025 and I'm sure you will be surprised.

Web3 is what I think and then those two will be the next every cycle of bull run. I'm starting to see those projects that are focusing with web3 and they're thinking that it's the best time to start it because we're on the early phase of it. Although some web3 projects have already been there since the last bull run, still, it could be the next big thing where people are going to be hyped for. What else I can think of? Maybe about real companies producing their own tokens, like the ones that are already established.

Machine learning? seriously? i have seen bunch of machine learing projects dead. There's no reason for machine learning to become giants for the next years. People didn't even need machine learning to learn about crypto. They needs only consistently to read and read about crypto. Crypto can be learned easily without any problem. Ai is a bit make sense but so many ai projects were also failed delivering the product.

There will be no big change as so many projects that got hyped in the past are still in the development mode. That means if you will be rarely seeing unique idea that can be implemented to the real life. Im sure that there will still be a lot of new projects with new idea but these idea was only gimmick that created by the developers to attract the demand since they know that if when they were repeating the same idea and it will give them all so many competitiors instantly that were working in the same thing.

AI and machine learning are the buzz words already being used. So I don't think people will fall for these buzz words again.
For the next bull run there might be some new tech being developed which might be the next hot topic.
If looking at current trends then web 3.0 and metaverse related projects might also shine in the limelight in the next bull run.

Generally in next bull run, next altcoin season, we will see next hot trends like
- A new potential technological trend like in 2020 - 2021 we have DeFi 2.0, Decentralized exchanges, many new ecosystems ...
- A new scam trend: with any new bull run, there will be more new scam projects that exploit a new trend to scam newbie investors

In particular, I think security will be hotter in next few years. We see last few months there are more hacks and security attacks in crypto.

Im sure we will not need a new tech. The optimization from the current tech is good enough for the future. Just wanna try to tell you if metaverse seems to be the promising one. Facebook as a very big company in the world was starting to develop it. It takes time but yeah once it will be fully developed and then it will be making a very big movement for the world. You can do various things virtually through use the metaverse

I think it is possible to be in that direction, because looking at the history, like with the Internet is a definitely one of the things that could be a game changer with web3.0. Maybe in the oncoming technology is to be invented it could bring more people in depending on what application you have.

Time in the market would be hard, but as long as you think that web 3.0 can dominate the market, then maybe we could start accumulating now.

Of course, no one really knows what the hot topics in 2025.
However, I think it is no problem to predict them. The hot topics that may be the reasons for the next alt seasons are quite interesting to discuss.  ;)

Regarding Metaverse, it is not a new topic, it was already hyped in the previous bullish season. Unless there is something new about Metaverse, I don't think it will bring a big impact on the next altcoin season. I assume the hot topic in the next bullish season should be a new issue. We may be not aware of it now but it is probably hype during the upcoming bullish season.

We still need to find out the hot topics in 2024/2025 because it's still two years away. For now, Gaming, NFT, Defi, and Web 3.0 can still become more popular in the next year. Still, there is no guarantee that they will become popular in another two years because we know that technology will be more advanced than now. And this is going to trigger something different in the crypto world. It's better if we enjoy the current topic while seeing the opportunities coming our way so we are not too late to join.

Many popular words have emerged in the market in 2024/2045, if a bullish season starts, the market does not revolve around a single popular name, I think that almost all of them will rise. I think the future of blockchain is Metaverse and web3. Metaverse will change our lives completely, and those who adapt early will be able to earn more. Being an early user usually pays off. It wouldn't be bad to experience a few testnets.

I have the same thought. I believe we saw a glimpse of it in 2021–2022. It's only because of the bear market that the hype and development have been stifled. If it's a bull market, then we must be partying right now with so many projects that claim themselves as "Web 3 this" and "Web 3 that." Just like during the rainy season, it must grow like mushrooms. I think Web3 makes sense because it's the continuation of NFT and metaverse successes in the past.

I think Web3.0 or AI has started since now. Web3.0 came about due to the improvement of AI and machine learning and I believe that Web3.0 has great potential to make a huge impact on the crypto world in the next few years. Several projects that use a combination of the two have been developed and implemented on the platform.

So, this technology will continue to develop in the next few years, maybe there will be other technologies. Hard to say.

I will leave these options to the market as I do not know the hot topic for alt seasons in 2025. We still have more things being developed, which can explode anytime. No one will know for sure and we can predict that one of them can gain popularity but the other thing can reach more attention from the investor, especially if they can reach their phase step by step. The important thing for this is we must be ready for anything so we can follow that way to make a profit. But web3 can be the next one.

All will be prediction until it happens, I will predict for web3 and metaverse, also maybe playtoearn trend. Even though during the last bear season P2E projects died out in droves, I still see some serious projects still active and growing and there are still many P2E projects under development that have also attracted the attention of large investment funds such as coinbase ventures or binance labs. P2E will most likely survive and return with many significant improvements, gaming is an extremely attractive field, and it is a pity if we ignore this field.

projects that develop web 3.0 have started at this time. but there are not many projects that lead there. this could be in the next year if the market situation has started to improve. and when it does, the situation will probably be as hyped as last year's NFT and Defi.
this industry continues to grow, we see the market will always move according to market demand. when it matches market demand, it can explode.

Web 3.0 has been here for a while, so I don't think it will be the hype, AI and Machine learning could be Metaverse, and I think if there will be one hype in the future, it will be this concept.

I mean we have seen everyone is really into it, even Facebook is willing to lose billions just to have a working copy of it and yet they haven't produce one.

So maybe in the next 2-3 years or when the bull run started for altcoin, this will still be the hottest commodity.

We will never know, no one has the crystal ball to see what the future holds. Maybe in 2024/2025 something big will come out that will dwarf what we currently have, Metaverse, NFT's, Web 3.0 and others.

For the current trend, I will say that Metaverse will likely extend up to 2024/2025 and NFT's will still be there but the hype is no longer as big as it used to be.

Altcoin market has been evolving as we have seen, from ICO to the current hype that we have, so definitely this is going to be a cycle. And with that, the next big thing is not yet born.

The big fanfare will be the acceptance of ETF in the US which will happen in the next couple of years and I expect there will be a better decentralized platform than the current ones.
This is the real news, but for FUD is going to be big, so you'll find there a lot of people like Elon Musk (John was equivalent in the past) and after flashy things like NFT.

This is a wide interval. As far as I remember, dominant tokens way back 2017 are gambling tokens which are still existing at this point. But on recent years, 'memetokens' emerged. Then there are nfts (although it is not altcoin related). But what I'm trying to point out is that there would always be 'new', projects in this industry. If I am about to guess which tokens would have a 'noise' in the future, I'm guessing healthcare related tokens. There were projects before similar to this concept but it did not emerged as big as with other token fields. One reason is being timely but not because of the pandemic; we will just be needing it for the rest of our lives. But this would only be possible if cryptocurrencies will be more adapted by establishments of different industries.

But the trend lately is still under meme coins. They had been comparing it nonstop with other altcoins that have a real use case.
I want to see Bitcoin back in the trend again. Maybe a big event will start the spark and we just fuel it to make it bigger.

Gaming projects will surely change the gaming industry and yet it still lacks the support of cryptocurrency enthusiasts. I cannot think of something that will go big just yet. Well, there's still a lot of time, who knows if one good project will pop out.

I think that Web 3.0 does not receive enough attention and I also think that it is a more consistent sector than other sectors, but for it to be successful, important projects must be produced that can accurately capture the needs of users. The best idea I can think of for this industry is a social media platform, but we can say that all web 3.0 social media projects that have come out so far have failed. I don't know how we can succeed in capturing large masses...

Don't forget about Metaverse and Mining cloud too. Maybe this will last in the next few years. I didn't say 2023-2024 because every development in crypto is very dynamic, it is growing fast, and and cryptocurrency ecosystem is filled with trends and innovation.

I guess you mean cloud mining? I knew about cloud mining since 2017 and they are mostly Ponzi schemes, many investors lost millions to cloud mining websites, they stopped working and ran away with investors fund.

Massive doubt in metaverse especially when the whole stock market on Meta have been down in past few months, even though it's going back up to $111 mark for few days this month but still lot of downside compared to the benefit when being in metaverse. Where you can probably see lot of similar stuff to Metaverse with more polished platform and actually the avatar and stuff feel more "realistic" instead of Metaverse without legs at all.

2023-2024 is indeed too fast and those new technology definitely need more time to be able to actually stable and feel not scuffed at all.

We just don’t know what would be the next trend for 2025. The closest one would be 2024 which was the Bitcoin halving, but we’re not sure if that would mean another bull run like in the past though. Nothing would be promised or guaranteed here.

It’s hard to predict what would happen in 2025 when it comes to the trends as well. Time will tell.
