My vendor shipped the coin capsules/spacers to the wrong delivery address in Hawaii and they recently got sent back to the vendor. I'm making arrangements to have them re-delivered with the correct address.

There may be a slight delay (about a week from my original date above for Regular 1/10th oz silver coins) should you want your roll(s) shipped separately ahead of your full order should you have ordered other coin types, sets, singles, etc.

Please note that if you want your rolls shipped separately from your full order it will be an extra $30 for shipping them separately. If we got 1 of the coins sets can we get select ones “factory funded” or does it have to be the whole set? If we get them funded by creator do we get a different hologram showing that? Sorry if you’ve answered these questions already. I’m offshore so my service is super bad and selective so it’s hard to search through all responses

"Factory funded" aka coins funded before being shipped will have a normal hologram while the ones that aren't funded prior to shipping will have a "buyer funded" label on the hologram.

In some cases smoothie may be able to fund select coins in a roll but I guess that would be up to his discretion.

Once I have this I will post an update.





Originally I had envisioned the sets being fully funded or not funded at all being that it would make it a consistent set (all funded or all not).

I'll give it some thought and think about this one as it would perhaps be really confusing to have partial sets funded and the rest marked buyer funded. This allow lots of room for mistakes if I went with this method.

For now let's assume they are all or nothing at the moment.

Update regarding regular gold plated coins:

My vendor spoke to their gold plater and shipping of the coins to my vendor should happen early next week.

I should have an update soon with pictures.

Apologies on the delay regarding these.

What I've been told is that the gold plater had to build new racks to hold the 1/10th oz coins.  They never plate that size coins and that is the reason for the delay.

Will post here with an update once I have info.

I was sent an image of one of the gold-select coins from my vendor.

I'm remiss to post the picture due to it being blurry. Based on what I can see visibly the gold-select plating has come out to specification as far as I can tell.

I'm requesting they send me better image asap prior to shipping them. Will update here once I have it to post.

Last I heard, early this week they are finishing up production of both regular and rainbow gold-select types.

Update on 1/10th gold select silver rainbow coins:

Based on the pictures I received most of the rainbow elements are not visible on the RAINBOW gold select coin type. After speaking with my vendor over the phone about it they believe that the gold-select process they used for plating conflicted with the rainbow elements of the coins. Once I obtain the coins in my possession I will confirm if this is actually the case.

Some elements came through but as far as I can tell most of, if not all of, the rainbow elements does not appear visibly. I'm unable to get the rainbow elements on to the coins retroactively given the process requires them to be done at the early stages of the overall minting process on top of the fact that the gold-select process has undone the rainbow effects. This is out of my control for the time being until I can find a reliable solution for any future products to have this effect with gold-select type coins.


This was my first attempt at doing a gold select rainbow silver coin for Lealana. In essence it was somewhat experimental given it was going to be the first of its kind in my experience. Some things go to plan and some things don’t when trying out new features. In this specific case it appears the end result of this coin type did not come out how I had envisioned.

This coin is going to be considered an “ERROR” coin. The mint I am using will be signing off on a Certificate of Authenticity that confirms this.

My plan for this coin type is to create a certificate of authenticity that compliments the original COA made for the gold select rainbow coins. This coin type will come with TWO COAs (the original LEALANA one, and the ERROR one).

Im considering adding the word “ERROR” on to the coin in a permanent way on the front AND/OR on the hologram. I’ll be consulting each customer to see if they want this marking or if they don’t. Both cases will be allowed but I would advise all customers to determine that this either be an all or nothing type decision (either all of your coins of this type have these markings, or none of them do). This is all assuming that the permanent marking on the coin surface doesn’t have any unintended side effects.

I should have the coins in my possession by Wednesday next week. They are in transit as of today to me.

Coin shipments will occur soon after I’m able to finish my portion of work after I receive them.

Is the "ERROR" on the finish? How many have Errors?* My vote is for the holo to say Error....not many say that, and let's face it, errors have been made over the years, multiple makers with no indications of that fact, directly on the coins. Should increase the values of them, I would guess.  **ERROR on the holograms, my vote.   :)

What Yoda is trying to say - some collectors want beautiful rainbow coins as they want to keep them in their collection and display them. Others - may enjoy being able to use the “error” label to price them a little higher on their flips. Some may enjoy both. I’m just hopeful the 1 oz coin looks better as I am jealous of how great the full gold plated rainbow ones look. Ahhhh the joys of pre sales

The Error re: 1/10th oz Gold-Select Rainbow coins

During the gold-select plating process the rainbow color was obscured. This is considered an error because it was unintentional and did not come out to specification or expectation. All of the coins were affected to my knowledge.


The Error Certificate

The coin’s error certificate will be entitled the “DOUBLE RAINBOW ERROR COIN” given that the original rainbow was interfered with during the gold-select production.  The mint will sign off on this error certificate and will be provided to all orders of Rainbow Gold-Select coins in addition to the certificate already produced for these coins. All rainbow gold-select coins will come with TWO certificates.

Q: Why is it called a double rainbow error coin?
A: Because the rainbow effect had to be added to the coins twice (once before gold-select plating and once after, retroactively).

Retroactive Rainbow (Front & Back)

Unbeknownst to me initially, I was able to find a method by pure accident (with a little bit of experimentation) to retroactively add the rainbow on to the surface of the coins. There may be some alignment issues, as no coin is perfect.


Timeline

In order for me to retroactively get the rainbow back on to each coin’s surfaces, I will need approximately 7-9 days to do this process.

On top of the 7-9 days for retroactive rainbow addition, I will need about 4 days to get the “double rainbow error” certificates generated, printed, cut, approved by the mint, etc.

The work I normally do on the coins will take about 7 days.

Total time will be to get them to USPS will be 18-20 days. (~ February 26th-28th).

This is my target ship date, or sooner for orders with the rainbow gold-select 1/10th versions.


Regular Gold-Select coins

The regular Gold-Select coin types have arrived also, they look pretty much identical to the rainbow error versions. You can tell the difference between the two as the regular Gold-select does not have any additional textures on the back (i.e. reverse) of the coin.

Assuming you have no other pending orders that have rainbow gold-select coins, the regular gold-select coins will ship be able to be shipped in 10-12 days from now.


What I need from customers who ordered gold-select rainbow 1/10th oz coins:

I will be messaging all customers with a link to this post to get the following information from you regarding your order:

1. Do you want the “ERROR” text laser etched on to your gold-select rainbow coin’s holo?

I received all the coins I bought and they are very cool. I think this coin is one of my favorites. The Rainbow Gold Select and Plain Gold Select are stand outs, but all are great.  Personally the error does not look bad at all; I think it is still attractive and the novelty of error coins are always collectible.
