Title: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game?
Post by: dimonstration on October 15, 2022, 11:15:52 AM
If you are playing gambling for example slots and you double money with just a couple of bets on very early part of your game. Will you stop already or continue playing to earn more?

I’ve been on this situation many times before and I keep playing until I get the entertainment that I want and to have more profit. But the result is always ended up losing everything because it’s very easy to increase bet if you knew that your money that you use is a profit.  :D

I used to take a break and come back again in the same day. Slowly I try to increase the winning, but at some point when there is consecutive loss on rolls I used to increase the bet to recover the losses. This makes me go out of control losing huge funds in few rolls. After losing everything my mind says you shouldn't have gone to such an extent. You should've taken the profit once the capital is being doubled.

The rule is if you win little, wait till next time. If you haven't, try to win and never let it be beyond your gambling budget, especially if you run out money by using martingale or any other strategy.

You do not have to increase the amount you are using to bet if you are winning. You need entertainment, then continue to play with just little amount and have the fun.

I think there is a similar post related to such question.
I will say it all depends on the player or what you wanted to, if you gamble with a specific amount and tends to increase at some point, it would be ideal you don't use your additional funds but can only use profits and is under probability because you could also lose your profits when trying to increase your wager in the bet. So if you played with your initial money and you win don't use the profit to increase your wager thinking you could hit more good point at the end of increasing it.
So the best Is to stop game and take some break maybe not that same day again.

It depends on what is your limit on gambling. In my opinion I will stop already because I do hit profit in early stage and that’s your best chance to beat the house in profit rather than play longer due to house edge. People should realized that we need to bet few as much as possible and take profit if you have it early before you start losing it all on house edge and lose streak. Gambling is game chance that only means that you will encounter long lose streak later if you continue since you already hit the long win streak because it will just balance.

I've encountered this situation multiple times while gambling, playing slots. On this situation, it depends on my goal while playing if whether I'll stop or continue playing. However, I've answered, Yes, on the poll as I mostly lean on stopping while I'm ahead especially when my bankroll is a considerable amount. In most times, I stop playing even if I'm just 1.5x ahead of my whole initial bankroll however I continue playing when my bankroll isn't that high and wanted to have some entertainment and test my luck.

Gambling for me are not about profit.... because I gamble for entertainment. So I will simply leave the money that I won ..on the casino to continue gambling. Yes, when I win something huge... I will withdraw a small amount to treat my family and friends or to buy something nice.... but the majority of the winnings stay on the casino.  :P

That is why they say... "If you do not quit when you win big.. the house always win"

It depends on how much I gained in that session. If I hit a good multiplier and a good win, I will still continue to gamble as luck is there but not to the point that I will spend all those winnings completely. If things are getting worst, I will now stop and just return the next day (without withdrawing).

Although most of the cases that I ended up busted, still there's a time that I enjoy my profits and cash it out.

I admit it's hard to stop when we are experiencing winnings. Not wrong giving a few more runs after that big win before stopping.

I've changed my playing style over these past 2 years. Before, I'm setting a limit on how much I won or lose every day but now. I keep on playing and don't set any limits anymore. Whether I set a limit or not, the outcome is still the same so why bother? Just continue playing, who knows, maybe your single lucky day will come sooner or later. That's what I'm waiting for so I can stop playing gambling and shift my attention to other ways of earning in crypto.

if you are gambling for the sole purpose of earning profit it would be best to stop and keep the profit you have gained. anyway, I don't really play slots but I would still gamble despite doubling my initial funds(just to let you know my funds for gambling are not that huge so I am not really bothered if I lost it) quickly, the reason for this is I don't really gamble for profit nowadays, gambling for me has been a great way to pass time and unwind.

Whatever happened to what you describe in this post, it's not something surprising because we also experienced the same things as yours. this seems to be related to psychological problems, and something that usually happens to anyone who enjoys gambling activities.

However, if you do not have good control, it is highly recommended to limit the amount you are ready to lose. the most difficult thing is to stop the game session, either when you get a lot of wins or losses in a row. The urge to continue playing is greater than ending the game session. As a result, you lose a lot of your coins. I don't mean to patronize you, but anything in excess is not good.

Even without raising the bet size, the result will be the same if you don't stop  ;)
As for doubling, this is nonsense, hardly anyone stops after such a small win. It seems to me that when people dream of winning, they want to get at least x10. x2 even to the entire deposit is very little to stop. By the way, it seems to me that slots are exactly the area where gamblers are waiting for huge winnings, something like x100-x1000 and they definitely won’t stop after x2.

To continue in a game when you're winning very much depends on your mindset, Do you want to recover your losses or do you want to be entertained more knowing the fact that you could lose your earnings, continuing when you already win a big amount is very risky for those who are chasing their losses and fun for those who want to see how long he can keep up, the first is taking a big risk and the latter comfortable on the outcome and he plays to be entertained not after the profit, in my case I will stop when I have reached my winning limit, I also want to recover part of my losses.

You must understand that there are no poor bookies or online gambling businesses, for sure you often see advertisements for online gambling sites that offer slot games with double wins, but that's just pseudo, for sure, the bookie who wins you must realize that, online slot gambling is one method in the form of a 'programming' code that is set up with genius and a method in such a way that you cry, the fact is that many online slot gambling players that I see 98% will definitely lose, another 2% are affiliate or influencer wins, to make bettors not cry and feel they are happy.

With the various reasons that I have mentioned, based on my experience, it is clear that if I bet on online slot gambling and win big, I will definitely stop and not continue betting on that day and then, I will calm down, of course I will bet on other slot games in the coming day, not that day.

I will prefer to stop the game for the day if i begin to experience loss on two consecutive occasions, luck is far away as at that moment then I'll make a try another day, if we don't properly plan to position ourselves on a good eege, it may be difficult for us to make progress with winning, some will keep loosing at the scene of trying to play hard for a winning, but we you understand what's best and good for you, then you can know how to stop and or continue when needed, but as for me I will stop anytime am making a loss consecutively.

Like you, I've also been in the same situation. It's really a tough choice for me if I will continue to play or not.

Since I won big, why should I stop? That lucky chance might not come again. That reason fueled my eagerness to continue playing.

And obviously, we all know the result at the end lol. Like anyone else, losing everything in the process. :D

Stop, if the game continues it's likely not going to get more but losing this has become an experience and for me with an early multiplier and then winning it needs a break to calm it down.

I only have certain limits in slot games so the initial multiplier will not be too big and set for example $0.2 this will not increase even though I win in the multiplier, so I want just because of the win then increase the bet it will be the beginning of my loss and this would be bad for me in doing.

The entertainment slot is so the limit for the money that is entered is not too big so I need to control it again when I want to play so I always hold back from doing it except the next day.

I'm very practical person, the answer is stop it then come back later on or by the next day. You're not so sure you'll be earning more when you play, besides it's just a game of chance after all and nothing comes to be predictable just because you got lucky the first time you hit that jackpot.

Has been 5 days maybe I got the same condition, earned even up to x150 from the initial deposit and yeah I keep playing so final result I get nothing. Usually I would stop but maybe this time it was different. For now I won't stop at slot gambling and probably won't give up on my goals, like an addict but I need to be able to control my funds to spend at slots.

Depends on my mood. When I have more time to go for it, I would still play as I did also in the past. I've seen my $5 to $60 from playing slot and dice but it always ends up zero when the time I got to increase my bets. Such a very little capital but made it more than 10x.

Sometimes I stop but got no courage to withdraw and then the next day, I return in hopes to see if I could make it double again.

We have all experienced this, and it's part of the game, this is why we are playing to make money or have some fun and do not care if we lose our bankroll it depends on the length of time I'm playing if I double my bet in the first 5 or 10 minutes of the game I usually continue but if I spend 30 minutes to an hour of betting and I double my winnings that's the time I stopped I play to get entertain and I usually play a small amount just to lengthen the time I spending betting, responsible gambling is all about time and money you allocate.

Usually I am not so lucky like you at the start of my gambling session. Doubling your money very early in a session is a great thing and only needs a little strict behavior from you to not lose any money. What I would do as soon as I double my money is to take my initial starting money back out and only keep gambling with my profit. Like this you guarantee to not lose any money on this day, and if you keep winning more money I would take out a part of the profit as well. When it comes to gambling it's important to protect our bankroll. Whenever there is the chance to make a profit I would take it. This doesn't mean to stop gambling all together, just saving some of our winnings up protect the bankroll.

Since I have a good self control and money management, obviously I will stop the game since I already know if I keep gamble I would lose all of my winning. It's hard to make money through gambling, so I need to maximize the earning that I've made and not greedy to make more. Keep remember today isn't your last day to gamble, so you can gamble at any day you want to gamble.

More often, I keep playing looking for another big win, another luck. Because what is in my mind is that what if I was too lucky today and I can recover all my losses? Sometimes I was right but most of the time I lose all my winning for that assumption and got empty my wallet.

I'd see this very common to most gamblers. We know is a pure luck base game and we know not all the time we got lucky. But when we win, it changes our mindset, and can't even remember those things as we even urge to gamble more and lose more instead of winning. Well, this is the fact but it was my pleasure to do this at least I was not totally addicted to gambling.

It can be risky trying to earn more, but I wouldn't mind taking the risky part especially if the money in playing is something I can do without. I would finally stop at some point, but i will like to see how much I can win. I will not get lucky everyday, so any day I get lucky, it is best I take full advantage.

As a rule of thumb, any circumstance or chance that will double my initial gambling fund would most likely convince me to stop gambling.

I remember a few years back, my brother had like $600 of his monthly savings and we went to this casino. He told me to specifically stop him as soon as we won $20 from the bet. Eventually, we won a total of $200 and I was convincing him to stop already but he still insisted on going on. Unfortunately, the whole $600 was lost in the process.

Every time I remember this memory, it keeps me sane and firm to stop gambling as soon as I win my initial bet back.

I will stop before a bigger temptation comes to me as soon as possible. I couldn't or often found it difficult to avoid the temptation and in the end, instead of quitting, I continued to gamble using the initial money and winning money. And just as you feel, I will end up losing everything and can only regret it. That's why I always try to withdraw my winnings after I can win and double the money with a few bets. Even though it's only for a short time, it means a lot to me, and I don't want to lose any more winnings.

Man, this is slots, there's a house edge so you'll still lose in the long run as the house would always win, the system is designed in their favor. So for me, I would just stop based on my target, because gambling without a goal of winning is just gambling without a direction, and 100%, most of the time, you'll end up losing everything you have because of lack of control.

My goal is to win a profit and once I hit a good prize, I stop and just play again the next day. I've tried playing continuously before despite my winnings and unfortunately, I experienced lose streak which was really disappointing. That served as a lesson and tried not to get tempted whenever I win. I always make sure to keep the prize and stop for a day and so far, that's a working simple strategy for me.

I will stop to play that. Im sure that if my money will be gone if i will always try to continue to play. I just try to bet on my luck in another time. That's enough to double my money since it was also very lucky to make it happen just in a few steps. I will care to do that again maybe tomorrow or later.
The key is you shall not be greedy and this pretty much the same like trading. Anything that becomes greed is very bad for you. I meant you must also aware if your greediness may make you lose control over your emotion when you are continue to play the game.

It depends on how much my bankroll when I start my gambling session.
Lets say I started with low amount (under $50), for sure I will continue playing but if my starting bankroll is more than $100 then I'll stop.
Not completely stop tbh, but I'll withdraw my initial bankroll + 50-70% of the profit then continue playing with the remaining balance.
I'm not a type of player who like to increase my bet size even though I manage to win in just couple of bets.

It always depends on my target profit. If I gained enough and reach my target winning value on that day, I'll stop right away but if not, I will push through and still test my luck but as much as possible, I still put control on spending especially if I could feel that I'm continuously losing. It's hard to deal with temptations but if we will think of the consequences, we will be able to control things.

Money isn't my main purpose to gamble, so I don't really care if I've double or triple my money even though it's only few bets. I would continue to gamble until I'm done since I gamble for around 1-2 hours per day. As slots designed the gamblers always lose and the casino always win, your today winnings still not enough to recover your one week losses lol. Actually, if you want to gamble, you should know you will loss your money and you're playing for fun.

I'll probably stop my session when that happens and my reasoning is similar as well. Playing longer rarely works out with casino games and it's better to keep the profits because like you've said continuing would most likely lead to losses and potentially throwing away your profit since that's how it goes for my previous sessions. Losses can't be avoided after winning unless you stop and once you've been through a lot of losses you'd rather take the small win than get greedy for a bit of profit.

everything will depend on your goal of playing. If you are looking for fun or entertainment, of course, you will continue the game even if you end up losing.
but if your pleasure is profit, I think you should have some control over this. quitting and exiting with a profit is a strategy that many other gamblers use.
they will return to the casino the next day.

I think there is nothing wrong with what you are doing. this is gambling, and will not provide enough satisfaction for us. When we enjoy the game, we will forget that we have made a profit. and realized when our balance was 0.

There is no reason for me stop gambling after a win, mostly because the amount of money I'm putting in is somewhat negligible to me and I'm just doing it to have fun and not make serious bank. If my finances weren't straight at all and I'm in deep trouble, I wouldn't really risk any of my money in gambling because I know that the chances of me winning is very slim.

If it's a huge amount, say more than $1000 then I'd definitely stop right there and cash it out. I'll return next week on my gambling habits but certainly not there to chase some wins, but just to have fun once more.

I am not a gambler that spends too much money or you can say spend less than the amount I can afford to lose. If I win or double the funds deposited then I continue until I achieve what I came for which is for fun. If I am having fun and luckily doubled or effort the amount then I have some funds to withdraw but If I ended losing It all then it's over for me and spend the other funds I can afford to lose in other things that are not gambling related.

Though you'll end up losing the money you put up as a stake, but you'll still make more money. It wouldn't hurt you if you lost all of your profit to gambling because you got enjoyment out of it, but if you can manage to keep your initial capital secure and only risk the money you make after that, all the better. The initial money will at least still be available. However, the majority of gamblers are greedy; perhaps that is one of a gambler's characteristics.

I was looking out for the phrase i just marked in board because I know, its always never far behind when one extends the limits of his lucks in gambling. For one who gambles for the fun of it, there is little need to double money. For me, I just leave out what I've put forward and go with it. Maybe I'll really smile in the the or maybe I'll just say, tomorrow is another day. No need having all the fun in just one day.

After some wins, the loses always come like you've noted there. Its better to go home smiling all the way even when you never expected it.

I'm not seriously involved with gamble for the last 2 years but a few days i deposited only 10$ to bet in crash it’s my favourite and here i can start to bet with few cents, if i don’t want to take risk with big amount, so just to get entertainment i start with small amount. But i play for limited time in a day, i made profit or not whatever i stopped it then try to bet in the next day but i didn’t continue regularly, it’s depend on my free time.

It depends on my mood, but I think that if I started playing, I will definitely not finish after a few bets, even if they brought me a good profit. The meaning of betting is entertainment and having made a couple of bets, I definitely won’t have time to “enjoy” this entertainment. In general, this question is as strange as "will you turn off the movie if you have already seen a lot of funny and interesting things in the first few minutes?". At least for me it is, but maybe for those who gamble for profit, everything is different.

You already answered your question, it is always ended up losing if you keep playing because usually house edge will always win in this situation, the more time you spend the more chances of losing that you will have, but of course, the entertainment was always there too.
However, if I do not matter about the amount but instead of entertainment, I will keep playing until the last amount of my fund.

If I double my bankroll, in most cases I try to take my winnings and not play that day. But sometimes it happens that I am seized by a sense of excitement and continue to play until I spend all the money. It seems to me that in fact there is not much difference if you come back to the casino after a while anyway. So enjoy the game and don't exceed the limits you set.

How much money I have won during the session has nothing to do with my decision to keep gambling or to stop, I care about how much money I have lost during the session and the amount of time I have gambled, if one of those exceed my limit I immediately stop gambling, but being ahead during the session is not a problem and if anything is a huge advantage as I know that most likely I will still finish my session with a little bit of extra money and that is always a nice feeling to have.

Once you do make yourself that confident since you do have in mind that you are really just playing with profits then you would really just make bets like a crazy man on where bet size would really be having that
all in kind of behavior and you wouldnt really be minding on how it should really be done on a conservative way for you to maximize profitability and enjoy the game even more.
You would only start to realize and regret when its already done or those money had been lose back into the slots you are playing.Well, its either you would really be making yourself get stressed
or simply just accept since you are already anticipating that you are losing in the end. This is what people been thinking but most of the time, all of us would really be anticipating or expecting more.

Very difficult to stop to be honest specially if you think that you are very luck because of the way you double that money very early.

So for me I will continue to play that game, and yeah part of it is having fun and to be entertained. And if by chance that I'm playing it with my wife, then definitely we will going to continue playing and mostly likely have a good time at home enjoying and having few laughs, just saying.

Gambling people will realize that big losses are frustrating. here he will fix the system that was implemented yesterday but return the money that has been lost, it will only continue to be wasted. until he is tired of his position he will realize that playing gambling needs to be relaxed and does not have to be quick to make profits because it is the other way around. systems like you said can turn around greedily in the middle of the road, I've experienced this. the results collected in a few days can be lost because emotions happen again

Depends on the mood since sometimes I continue since I'm not yet satisfy on the result nor enjoy yet the game, although there are times the table turns and I lost but still this is fine since I enjoy myself playing.

Also stop when I think its to much and I don't want to get hook to spend more extended time playing so I always make sure to have balance on this to avoid huge damage if I'm not lucky today.

Based from the poll, the number of voters who will stop playing the game is higher.
But I believe, in actual scenario, most of them will continue to play especially if you are still early in the game.  :P
In this scenario, it depends on the player's financial capability and his goals for that session.
They said, they will be stopping early but can they really control the desire to play more?
Because the reason why the OP is experiencing such situation, because just like most, he continues to play despite earning good profits early in his game.

I usually stop when I lose money. It is much easier to stop when you are losing. If I was winning, it is almost impossible to stop because the greed takes over and makes me play more and more. Like you, of course I end up losing all my winnings. That's because these games have an house edge and in the long run you will always lose. Everybody forgets this fact when they win some money... they think they will keep winning forever but we know that it is impossible.

But yes we have different ways to enjoy gambling and for me it is very prioritized to stop after winning rather than continue for entertainment reasons spending money that has been earned from gambling.

I'll be continuing the game. End of the day the wallet will be empty. Gambling is all about the luck, and if I was in need of money I'll find way to reach that specific amount and withdraw it. Most of the time while fixing some targets and following the same the result used to be loss than just gambling on the go.

It's a tricky question, but I would just say it depends on my mode at that moment, but the truth is that there is a higher chance that I will immediately stop playing for that day if I double or win big amount of money after just a few bets.
This is because, like you said in the part of your post I deleted, there is a very high chance that if I continue playing at the moment, I will end up loosing everything, both my winnings and capital, so it's better to just take a break at that moment and maybe come back tomorrow.

In my case, I bet small first and when I become more entertained, I tend to bet more and continue gambling. I wi only stop once I reached my limit and my budget at that time, most of the time I lose as well. Being greedy within your limit is fine, if you feel more excitement once you bet higher then go ahead, that’s gambling we should enjoy as well and not too focused about the money.

First I have limit budget for depositing and play until all my fund deposit empty, but if got lucky after get bigger winning or jack pot at first trying I will stop and not care if my deposit budget still left much. I think bad emotional keep playing if have got winning and worried with all winning fund loss later if can't stop. I have faced bad experience before when get winning but not stop all fund loss and lately have disappointed maybe if several fund withdraw or stop I have saving fund for tomorrow or next days playing again.

Almost the same with trading, when reaching profit better sell it and enjoy moment with profit, stop and enjoy awhile after get winning and still have another day for playing again.

Most likely I will continue to play this game. Many gamblers who were winning may not want to stop their winning streak. This is the reason why they continue their bets even if the odds are not in their favor anymore. They will just keep playing until they lose all of their winnings and sometimes even more.

I play sports bets but there was a time when I decided to go play plinko, honestly what I realized was that I couldn't stop playing until my balance was at zero, at first I won and got a profit, but I kept playing and I lost they even have the same amount I deposited, after that I kept playing and I won, but then I lost again, hours I spent playing, my fingers hurt, but I kept playing until I lost all the money I deposited. then i realized i had to stop playing plinko and focus only on sports betting that Is where i have self control

Depends on how long I have been playing.  Often times if ever I doubled my money and I haven't played for an hour yet, I put my initial bankroll in the vault to keep to at least separate it from my active bankroll.  Then if I feel that I had enough of fun and still have my live bankroll intact.  I withdraw all the funds and look forward to another fun session.

I will continue to play not to earn more but to have fun on my allocated time for gambling.

You just need to segregate your initial bankroll or withdraw it to ensure yourself of an even result if ever you deplete your winnings.

That is a case to case basis and both parties should agree to one decision and if not, better to split it and be free from any problem.
Though the concern here since it’s a giveaway money, is there any requirement first before you withdraw the money? Maybe I can still continue to play and continue my winning streak since it’s free technically I have nothing to lose if I continue to gamble. Your friend should continue and explain that huge capital can lead into a more huge profit, take the risk and regret nothing.

Can do both depending on my emotion.

I can keep the bankroll I've got and then keep going with the profit that I've made until everything is gone and lost. But it's better to walkaway with the profit and capital.

I've been in this situation too so many times in my playing session, in fact, just two nights ago, I lost my bankroll because  I just decide to go on I am fully aware of the possible outcome, it really depends on your mood there are times that you just want to make money and call it off when you double your money and sometimes you haven't felt the thrill yet so you go on after you double your bets, the most important thing is you enjoy, you'll feel sorry if you won already decides to go hoping to win more and lose, you always have the choice if you want to go on or stop right there, the most important is you feel good in all your decision in gambling.

I voted for I don't know. Because it might depend on my mood that night. If I really feel good then obviously, I will go for it and make more money because of my luck.

But chances are, there are days that I might completely back off and enjoy first my winning and maybe come back the next day and see if I can still win or not or just play with my winnings and withdraw my initial bankroll just to be on the safe side.

It depends on my current need. If I do not have much need for extra funds then I will continue playing no matter what the result is.  But if I am somehow in need of money then I would gladly withdraw both the bankroll and the winning money since it will be a great help winning that money to attend as an additional fund to my financial needs.

But possibly most of the time, I will continue playing since I don't use gambling to solve my financial problem but only to have fun.

I personally always make a target first regardless of losing or winning I always do that because this can be a benchmark, when I win with my target amount or indeed lose by the benchmark I limited before I will stop there and come back another day and not I don't know if this has happened to other people or not but I repeat it at almost the same time as before especially if I win because I feel I will always be lucky if it is close to the time of the previous day ;D
Although nothing is clear about this, but I always do this because my intuition and suggestions have been directed to it.

Gambling is just to have entertainment. In reality we don't use it in that way and that is where our losing begins. This is common for everyone. Only the richest who have got everything financially fulfilled prefer gambling as an entertainment. I don't know whether I'll continue or take a stand to limit, because within few turn I used to end my wager as there won't be funds. Even the last week payment got over in less than 10 turn, and my focus was just to have an additional $5.

The end result of gamblers who do not have any control and only gamble continuously will certainly end up without any results, even though they initially win.
For those who have control and already know when to stop, of course after they get a win they will stop for a moment and enjoy the advantage before entering the gambling area again.
This will also be related to the psychology of gamblers, gamblers have a greater risk of experiencing mood and anxiety disorders. So that it can be said that gamblers do not gamble to seek satisfaction, but return to the ability to judge and recognize bad risks.

Title: Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game?

It would all depend on your goal in playing. Many play because they are trying their luck and want to make money. When they win, they might stop and enjoy their winnings somewhere else. On the other hand, many also play because they simply want to kill time having fun and be entertained, so when they win they don't immediately stop. They continue playing but it doesn't matter to them if they finished the day losing.

As for myself, it depends on the mood. It's not exactly the same all the time. But mostly, I'm after the money. Although I don't feel bitter when I lose, I'd indeed be happier going home with more money.

For me I will stop right away, I mean that is money and profit already in front of you, just get it and quit. However, let's say that in the previous days you lost big money and you are trying to recoup, then maybe you will have to extend and try to play for more.

I’ve been on this situation many times before and I keep playing until I get the entertainment that I want and to have more profit. But the result is always ended up losing everything because it’s very easy to increase bet if you knew that your money that you use is a profit.  :D

Many of us have been in this situation many times already, but for sure, the end result is very different. There could be days that you want to quit and then want to lose. But there could be days that you want to play more and increase your bet.

I know the right answer for this is to stop since you profit already and we know what will happen if you continue further. It's likely that you will lose again and have a regret later for not controlling yourself as early as possible since you already gain.

But for me in my experience, with your given scenario, it's really hard to stop because i'm at the exciting part and just starting since im lucky to begin with. My mindset is, this will continue until im satisfied playing and decided to stop (I mainly play to entertain myself). I know it's greedy but I think its a human nature for wanting more. Anyway even im doing this, the money that I often use to gamble is a spare money therefore it's not a pain even I lose it.

For experienced gambling, it's easy for them to stop playing once they are in a profit but for the newbies in gambling, it is somewhat hard to tell what will they do once they are on a winning mode. They may get overridden by their emotions and keep playing until they lost everything.
This happened to me many times in the beginning of my gambling days, because when you are winning, your heart won't let you stop and you will think that you will keep on winning and make more and more profits. Later i realized that if you are not able to control your emotions you will never going to win in gambling.

The choice is always been on your mood or preference for that playing session, sometimes you got the urge to continue you are in the hype and you believe you can win more, it's the dopamine that urges you to bet more for more rewards, and sometimes you need to take a break and withdraw the money to chill up if you're coming from a series of loss in your recent sessions, stopping and enjoy your winning is more preferable and will give you a breather for a fresh start in your next session.

I will still continue to play but this time I will keep my initial fund and just gamble with the money I won earlier. I am sure that if I won very early in the game, I am not yet satisfied or had enough of the game. I do not want to stop just because I won a large amount already, but I can control how much I am willing to spend. At the very least, I want to save the original fund. I also want to know how far my good luck will bring me.

I voted "idk" because I agree that mood at that moment is important, I wouldn't call it an urge, simply it was a nice start and if I planned to gamble that night I will probably continue playing, of course, I would jump to another game most likely. But I had moments when I am in a hurry and after a few spins, I get a bonus and a nice payout! I just close the browser, and I am thinking that I have a nice balance starting balance for later. Probably it's how we degens feel about it.

I’ve been on this situation many times before and I keep playing until I get the entertainment that I want and to have more profit. But the result is always ended up losing everything because it’s very easy to increase bet if you knew that your money that you use is a profit.  :D

When I play slots for example, it is money that I take for granted that I am going to lose, I do it more for entertainment. If I win on the first play, I'm not going to stop and leave, so I keep playing for a while. The ideal is to hit the jackpot when you've been playing for a while. Since I've been entertained for a while, I take the money and leave.

That is true, it supposed to be the urge. If you feel like gambling, you can continue. But as for me, it is not  only about my feeling to gamble or not, if I am winning and I feel like to continue gambling, I can but I will reduce the money I place on each bet. If I lose all, I will stop because I will not want to play with my initial amount of money that I started with, it would only be the beginning of losses for me. But in most cases, I prefer to just stop if I have won a considerable amount of money which could be small to some people but enough for me.

Once I double my bet while gambling I quit and leave immediately infact the joyous mood and the feelings of winning consistently will let me move away to avoid greediness and willingness to continue which might consequently lead to losses, of course gambling is very risky but once the opportunity of being in green and profitable, the best bet is leave and give it a breathing space, I had some bad experience of losing my previous wins to the extent of losing funds deposited, thereafter I had learnt my lesson of always take your profits and leave for another day.

If the result is ending up losing everything even after getting all the entertainment and fun, then is that wise ?
No it's not, I personally gamble to make profit and if at all I make severe loss, then most times I just rest and take a break for the moment and come back with intentions to get my starting capital back even without trying to make any more profit for the day and if the profit comes then I count myself lucky for the day. Most times when you continue playing even after making severe and continuous lose for the day with an increasing capital, we unintentionally do revenge betting with more money that we end up losing because we want to recover all our loses, hence toying with personal emotions.

I gamble mostly for fun and I try as much as possible to be contented with a reasonable amount of profit and not trying to get all the money from the bet at a time.

If my target for that day is just to double my money, then I will definitely take my profit and wait for another day, but if my target is higher than double, then I will continue playing but we all know that greed is not really good, we should always know when to stop, don't think because you already double your money at the beginning of the day those not mean that day is your lucky day, if you continue playing you might endup losing all your money both profits and your main capital. I know most people will continue playing because their is always joy whenever you are gambling and you are winning, just few will stop and take their profits.

Slot machine is my favorite gambling and yeah, it was kinda like that. You got one or two lucky spins, think you were covered for the rest of the day so why not keep on playing? Next instant, drained from all the money you won as well as your fund for the day. The thing that slot gamblers like you and me should do to be out of that vicious cycle is: Stay adamant about our original goal when playing slot.
If it was for fun then at the end of the day, our losses were minimal since fun fund, get it? But if it was for the money, get out and stop playing once you got a few lucky spins and positive balance.

Let's say I have just played gambling for 5 minutes and suddenly, I can win 2 times the amount of my initial money.
Of course, I will stop playing and withdraw the winning money.
I don't want to lose that winning money even if the casino offers me to get another amount of money to continue gambling.
And I think I can continue to gamble another day and spend the money on something that might be useful to me.
I was afraid that if I continued playing, I would lose all the money, even my starting money.

Because the reason why the OP is experiencing such situation, because just like most, he continues to play despite earning good profits early in his game.

novice players will continue to be curious about gambling games that can get a lot of folds in how. most beginners they will be given a sweet gift to increase the belief that I can hockey in this game. The big win did not turn into money for them because it was returned again, which made beginners curious. and until the point of saturation defeat often occurs, will make their own way

Yes, I stop playing and get really satisfied on this situation. There is no reason to want more from a gambling session than the double of your initial bankroll. When we are lucky we need to make that luck worth something, because it makes no sense to be lucky and continue playing until eventually losing all the profit recently made. So stop while you can, enjoy your profit smartly, and if possible make it grow investing somehow.

Maybe some people or most people if they have already made a profit in a percentage above the initial capital then they will raise a bigger bet just to find luck in a bigger multiplier and most of them will often have the misfortune of losing everything in the end. in essence, winning in slots is always determined by luck, so if you experience the fate of making a profit on a small bet, then you should enjoy the victory that day without having to multiply your bet to a bigger one because this can trigger a large emotional level. I will be more careful in this case maybe we should look on the bright side which is to stop playing for that time. maybe the op can see some productive advice given by some of the senior members here in the context of gambling so that you can feel the results of the wins you have earned without having to lose in the end.

It all comes down to your level of self control and what you're even doing on the gambling site in the first place. If you're there for a bit of fun, then doubling up your money might not even be that appealing to you - changing $10 to $20 is not a life changing amount to almost anyone. Most gamblers would just keep going and ultimately spend through all their money because they are just "enjoying" the game. If you're there with a specific strategy in mind, like making the most of free bets or enjoying some perceived bonus then you might actually decide that is the correct point to cash out. Casinos are very much based on algorithms so you need to figure out where the balance lies.

If what I budgeted for the day can still keep me going I will continue to play my bet , if get to the point of my limit I think I will stop. I will only use money I can afford to lose to play gambling. It is only greed that will make someone to use all the money he has to play on gambling.
wise decision ,don't take decision based on our E-motion and mental when loose. If we consistently do this way , there is no huge lose in our gambling
Based on daily limit it could save us from disaster, maybe our limit today get lost but maybe tomorrow Will win. Alot of gambler didnt set their limit, as long as they have money it Will continued no matter at the moments suffer loss.

I would definitely stop and call it a day.
Not only I would stop, but I would also withdraw it all and perhaps swap it to Bitcoin to hold.

However, if the initial deposit is relatively small, like 5-20$ and I got 10-40$ I would feel tempted to try my luck once again, and see if I can turn those 40$ into 100$ before withdrawing.
Keeping in mind my few past experiences with slots, I would probably end up back to 10$-20$ or losing it all. So I guess my reply to your question is rather situational.

Greed in human increase exponentially as soon as money is involved or see one, gambling is luck and skill combined but sometimes you don't even apply the skill that much, somedays just shine at you and you win what you don't even expect and when that happens, if you don't control the greed in you, you may forget the principle that made you wager an initial bet and thus, continuously playing until you lose everything you have the whole day.
I have been there and not just slots alone, I have won an amount that will literally change my week if not weeks on a virtual game but greed didn't allow look at the good side of what I had won that time and a couple of bad advice from people, instead of walking away, I tried wagering the remaining in the hope of getting back some of the loses before leaving the booky shop, that was how I went home without any significant payout on me. It was a sad experience but that was in the past during horrible gambling days, more smarter now.  :-*

I know a lot of us experienced this and since we are born greedy, we gamble more only to lose our profits even our capital at the end of the day. This is the reason why we never mostly win in gambling because we always want bigger profits and never get satisfied with small ones.

It all matters on how much the winnings I got on that specific spin or roll. If it's just doubled the bet then that was too low since my highest stake per spin in a slot is just $1. Never I will bet at around $5 above on slots per spin. Back to the winnings, if it's a decent amount, for let's say I hit good multipliers, I will not gamble all those winnings but instead will just try my luck for maybe 10 spins to see if such a good result will happen again.

If after a fail 10 spins or more, my temptation will be tested if I will continue or just stop. Again, if it's a decent win, I will surely not gamble all of it.

Yeah, we all think that stopping is the right thing to do but somehow our inner desire of getting more wins surpasses our control and makes us continue betting.  The more we win the more confident we are in continuing since we are playing with a bigger margin due to winnings.  Our inner greed often times kicks in if we get a scenario @OP is stated.

the best thing I read so far in another forum is that - the root cause of evil is not the money but it's the greed which make a person evil
I watched a movie earlier and in that movies a helicopter crashed in the middle of the jungle - the survivor used money to lit fire to keep themselves warn -that is the value of money when you have no mall around

Money isn't evil at all, it is the love for money that a person will do evil thing just to get it.  The part of the story you stated is flawed, there are lots of dry woods and dry leaves in a jungle, so making use of money to lit a fire is just an exaggeration,  ;D

It's no brainer for me that I'll stop and will just have to secure the profit and enjoy it and go back to zero again after spending those winnings that I've got. It's better to enjoy and have fun with it rather than feeling sorry and sad of losing it back to the casino when you're able to spend it back then.

Money isn't evil at all, it is the love for money that a person will do evil thing just to get it.
That's also what I have been noticing with people using that verse, they're forgetting about the keyword there, "love".

I guess we can say it's tough not to be tempted when you have a lot of time set for your gambling hobby hehe. It's not often that I win a lot on casino games but I make sure I bag some profits when I do. It's just that I continue to play with a lower wager for more entertainment sometimes so I voted "IDK".

The luck is there that's why I won't stop right away after that win. Maybe I will risks about 50% of that winnings as we don't know that luck might come the second time around. Since I'm already gambling why not face more risks and hope for the best?

In case I end up losing in the end, maybe there are regrets but not that painful to consider as I'm already used to it.

For first-timers or those who got their beginner's luck better don't think twice and just stop playing that day.

Will definitely push my luck , it is rare occasion that we will be having a easy win in short time so with that? meaning you are lucky and may continue taking that advantage , but of course with limitation that will keep safe half of that wins so if ever luck leaves me? I still have the win though smaller than what could i get if I stand in table right away.

When only a few bets have been able to double the money its actually the right time to stop even though it is not an easy thing to stop.
But usually, players will assume that day is a lucky day even though the lucky day cannot be known until finally the player stops playing and withdraws the funds from the casino greater than the deposit amount.

If that will be involving a lot of my money and i will not even push my luck even further. that's gonna give me a risk to lose my money in the next bet. I would like to save it and then come back later with low bet. Im always trying to play safe rather than rushing to get huge profit while you know that you may lose all of your money in the next bet and so, that's may become the best decision to retreat from continue the game. I prefer to take a rest and come back it later again. Play with patience.

Until I gain more and get satisfied with it then that's the time that I will stop. Note that, if it's only from the start and a few bets and then I get lucky. But if it's so long and then I've won, I'd be good to stop.

There are some gamblers who cannot control themselves at all. They usually double or even more than their bet but fail to hold on to that money. This type of image is very familiar in gambling. I think if a gambler is faced with such a situation, he should definitely take a break. And when that panicky attitude is over, the gambling can start again.

Pushing your luck but saving some of the wins first is the best thing we all can do in such situation. For me, I'll just withdraw my initial deposit and continue betting with the profit I made in that first few bets. In this situation, we can say that we are gambling without our own money so the worry of losing it is less than when we still play with our deposit. Of course we will still hope that our luck continues with the money from our early profit.

It could also depend on the withdrawal fees.
If it's not worth withdrawing the money then just leave it be and increase the profits to an amount that you won't regret taking out.
I have seen worse like 50k satoshis in one withdrawal and it's the only reason why I stayed to play more.
Thankfully, most online gambling sites now have lessened their fees. Like in Stake.com it's only 7k satoshis for withdrawal so even if you double your money and want out, you can do so without a bit of regret at how much it cost you.

If the scenario goes according to what you say, then it is very fun especially if it reaches the climax in the game session.
however, in fact this is very closely related to the situation during the game session, if luck involves big money. so, it is reasonable and wise to withdraw some of the profits.

You can continue later or lower the bet and start over with a lower bet. but often we ignore all, every gambler will experience a different psychological situation, especially when he is getting a big win, between continuing or ending the game session.  sometimes it becomes a debate within which makes a dilemma.

This is the issue that most players do face in gambling because we want to take greater risking when we are losing our bet to try luck but it won't work if it is a bad betting day. This time to work away from it will be difficult , the emotions all are out with anger and regret but you will keep going down when it is not your day of winning. I learn this that it is good to stay out when you losing much.

I feel sometimes when you are too greedy, then it will make you feel like you can become a millionaire in a day. But, the harsh reality is when the game session is done and ended, you may become just a homeless not even having a cent in your wallet. So, I want to say stop awhile and be honest with yourself, can you really afford to continue? So, don't assume that you will be playing until you get a big win, just try to take a small profit and do not get lost in the game.

We could have mixed negative emotions when we're continuously losing which will have a bad impact on our gameplay. So if we feel like we are not getting any luck, it's important to take a break, rest for a while, and try our luck the next day. Having too much disappointment and regrets might only lead and tempt us to bet more and chase our losses which will result in worse scenarios.

Maybe you are doing all in bets and then you accept whatever the result you will get? If that is the case then you will feel contented with it easily but if you are dividing your capital into smaller portion of bets and you are looking for a much higher multiplier then hitting your target early will feel that you haven't got enough because hunting for higher multipliers usually takes time.

This is what describes me because this is my gameplay. I have done mistakes like the op because I've got over confident thinking I can stop once I lose a little but I don't know why I didn't do it. I only got carried away thinking that the next roll will be a green. Now I learned my lesson and will withdraw most of the money first before I continue.

But in most cases, I prefer to just stop if I have won a considerable amount of money which could be small to some people but enough for me.

This is easy to say but very difficult to do. As to gambling, most people who win don't quit immediately because they will want more like oliver twist. To get more is sweet and your emotion will get you there and you can't move out. I have experience of this with many people even you advise them to qiit but they will not because they like the increase of the money they have win but they get hooked up if they are unlucky.

I like your merit number 499.  ;D let me take you another level to Hero member. I'm the first saying congratulations to you.
Just time for you to get there with activities remaining for you.

As long as your spending does not go out of control I think it makes no difference, you could stop gambling after such a big win in order to feel like a winner during the rest of the day, some people prefer this approach as who does not like feeling like a winner?

However there is a case to be made about such a result having no effect at all and you could keep gambling, after all we gamble to get fun, and gambling just for a few minutes before you get your big win is probably not enough to satisfy most gamblers which want to get their fun this way.

majority of votes says YES but they are just saying that as it is a question in general but if they are on the same boat? surely they will continue to play as it is a beginning of the betting and just got lucky.

there are several occasion when we have experience this but in the end? we lose everything.

we are being entertained because we are winning ., but once losing? we are playing because of eagerness to recover our losses and with that? the essence of gaming is gone for entertainment and then become total gambling.

Which is where everyone has a greedy side in him, it would feel ridiculous if there was someone who claimed to be able to control himself at all times in this case is a betting session. what I posted earlier, is a psychological situation that is often experienced by us gambling lovers.

So what you say in this post, will happen to you too if you are a real gambler.
I wonder, is this expression for you personally, I don't know. but for sure if you like gambling, then make it a very fun entertainment so you will not be too obsessed with becoming a millionaire or rich overnight.

you forget with your early target earning profits and money from gambling. As gamblers profits moment was very rare ,maybe its 1:100 ratio but unfortunately when we met it suddenly forget. Greedy still  influence US so keeping rolling till finally our profits become lose . Enough it happen one time ,so in future we should not repeat it.

This is really the typical scenario in gambling. Many people do not know how, when, and where to establish their boundaries. Some fail because they got too caught up with the satisfaction it brings to them. Some enjoy so much to the point that they no longer budget their funds and just spend continuously because it gives them the thrill and joy. While some fail to limit themselves because of the enticing winnings and profit they can get if they continue playing. It depends on what type of gambler you are and what keeps you betting. But both have the same fate because of impulsive betting - losing.

A lot of people are careless and perhaps naive. Most people are controlled by their emotions which is why there are many situations that can be prevented, but happened anyway such as being addicted in gambling and losing money. If only people are educted enough about financial literacy, gambling too much won't be in his vocabulary. Going beyond your allocated budget for gambling just because you won big time during the initial stage won't really be an enough excuse to gamble more. The potential winning won't really be worth it of the uncertainty especially if you already spent your chances and money intended for gambling.

People like you easily fall on the trap of continuous cycle of gambling despite its repercussions because you are being blinded by the profit that isn't guaranteed. Blinded by the happiness it might bring despite the possible bad effects of gambling to your financial aspect and overall well-being. Remember, anything too much is dangerous. You shouldn't indulge in gambling because it is risky and addicting. You should only bet what you can afford to lose and learn when to continue and stop for your own good.

Greed will surely make us forget to control or remember our original target, which has happened to many gamblers. We certainly don't want to experience a similar incident so we really have to stop when we get a win. And that's why, in gambling, we have to have strong self-control so that we don't experience events like @OP experienced because when we win and forget to stop, those are probably the times we will experience losses.

Depends on the amount. If you have $50 capital, then I guess it's easier to make it double since you're not going to be afraid of betting it all on a single wager. And the answer should always be no for that kind of scenario.
However, regardless of the amount you have as your capital, gamblers won't just settle for having it their money doubled, coz they're always aiming for a more than 2x multiplier.

Of course we will still hope that our luck continues with the money from our early profit.
yeah that's what I was trying to explain that I keep safe some of my funds at least more than the capital before pushing through and this made me a winner even if i lose everything aside from the safe keep amount.
as I wanted to see how long i can get from that luck in my hands.

Playing gambling requires good observation, sensitivity, fast thinking and accurate decision, playing bets comes with opportunities in diverse means through which a gambler is expected to be sensitive enough to know when such time appears and taking a right decision after, but as for me, i will always advise to quit for that day whenever you make a big winning that gives you a good return than going bafk into it again and again for the same day, if not all the winning amounts then they would have collected back half of it, once a gamblers realized double of what he stake or beyond on a start, then it's wisdom to end the day that way and go home to think on what tangible thing you could use the money for in order of remembrance for that winning in the future, than making continuous attempts for another win while loosing.

If the fun is just getting started for me and that's too early for me to win such amounts, I wouldn't stop. I've just started and things are becoming exciting at the beginning so there's no climax yet. Those early wins will give me confidence that it's my lucky day and no one can stop me then.
Until I gain more and get satisfied with it then that's the time that I will stop. Note that, if it's only from the start and a few bets and then I get lucky. But if it's so long and then I've won, I'd be good to stop.
Thinking that it was your lucky day and you are unstoppable is the common mistake that I heard from other gamblers. Are you sure that this didn't screw you yet? But, how long you have been playing a gambling? Maybe it was only your early tries but the more you play and depend on that feeling, I am pretty sure that you will experience to fail miserably.

Nowadays I am mostly playing for entertainment and not for the profit therefore when I got lucky and win a decent amount in my early tries, I will definitely play more and I wouldn't regret it even if I lose the previous wins that I had. What important is that I enjoy playing the game longer than usual.

I voted "idk" because it really depends on many things. If I win a significant amount of money(for me), like $50+ in one session, I usually stop because it's already a great experience and I don't want to ruin it. I know it can be even a better experience if I continue and win another $50, but, first, it won't be that much better because our brain releases lesser and lesser dopamine in our reward system to avoid dopamine intoxication, and secondly there's a good chance of another big win not happening, and even if I won't lose my initial win completely, I will be frustrated with losing my time on unprofitable spins.

But if I win $4-$5, I keep rolling until I lose it all or win more. When I have time for that, of course. There are times when I win just $2 and stop because I have other things to do. And I will be doing them in a happy mood because winning even as little as $2 makes me happy, at least for a little while, idk. :)

I would add to your words that when a gambler loses or wins a significant amount of money his emotional background increases significantly which can lead to incorrect perception of information which can further lead to irrational actions. This is why I would recommend gamblers and traders to take breaks at such moments so as not to make mistakes.

Even the most disciplined gambler when something ticks him, he will forget about all of those factors that you've mentioned because the situation depends on how tough your losses are. And if you've been doing well or not.

but as for me, i will always advise to quit for that day whenever you make a big winning that gives you a good return than going bafk into it again and again for the same day, if not all the winning amounts then they would have collected back half of it, once a gamblers realized double of what he stake or beyond on a start, then it's wisdom to end the day that way and go home to think on what tangible thing you could use the money for in order of remembrance for that winning in the future, than making continuous attempts for another win while loosing.
I reckon.

The best choice is to stop and you just call it the day. No matter how much you've won at the quick glance with your bets, double or more than that.

If you've made that much and you think that it's decent enough, there's no need to prove that you're lucky with your bets and just stop.

It could be done if that person had good enough self-control that he would quit immediately after getting a big win. But unfortunately, after getting a big win, many gamblers forget to stop immediately and become greedy to get more wins. This makes them unable to feel the winning money because they will immediately use the money to play again in the hope of winning more money. And if they don't realize this, sooner or later, they will only feel another loss and nothing left from their last winning.

This is a wise choice.
Many people say that gambling is how to control yourself.
On the other hand, self-control is not only when we lose but when we gain.
Controlling ourselves when profit or loss is actually still a strategy in gambling because if we can't resist gambling even though we have made big profits or are actually losing, this is obviously very unfortunate considering this is a step we have to take.

I voted Yes because my “gambling” is never tied to dollar amounts. If I were playing slots it would most likely be because I was extremely bored and didn’t feel like doing any real work. So it would have more to do with how much fun I was having and how much time I had to kill. If I doubled my money, I’d probably be having fun so I don’t think I would stop there.

Whenever you do make use of a fund or money which is intended to wipe off your boredom then you wouldnt really care if you would lose or win.You would be minding on how to prolong such session

It does vary on a certain individual because there are really that times which we do mind off about on to make money and secure out but most cases we are playing more just to have more.
Stopping is something a main issue for most gamblers which you cant really that able to immediately do such action specially when you are already that greedy.

We always say to control from losing but actually controlling ourselves when big profits are even more important and must be prioritized, even though we gamble for fun and just entertainment but when we get big profits then for me the right decision is to stop and withdraw funds to the wallet for some used for trading, but I went back to gambling for low funds the next day and was not greedy to use the high profit funds from the previous jackpot.

You can continue later or lower the bet and start over with a lower bet. but often we ignore all, every gambler will experience a different psychological situation, especially when he is getting a big win, between continuing or ending the game session.  sometimes it becomes a debate within which makes a dilemma.

Before gambling, we have so many plans like we will lower our bet or we may use our profits to play additional games so that we may not lose the seed money for the day and so on and on. But while gambling, we just forget all our thoughts and plan and do mistakes like going all in or not stopping after getting some good wins or maybe losing money while chasing the losses. I don't know why our mind does not understand that without discipline, we won't be able to survive

But in most cases, I prefer to just stop if I have won a considerable amount of money which could be small to some people but enough for me.

No money is sufficient for the gamblers and they just push hard for more and more money. 90% of gamblers lose only because they are greedy or they want to make all their money in that very hour or day. In any other business or work, can you make all the money in a day or two ? No, you cannot. Buy why people think that they will become millionaires in days through gambling.

Lack of control is big problem with gambling. If we have control, even in the loss we were able to some wager to the level. Rather than greed it is the hope that keeps them go for big. I tried to make a small amount to my weekly payment so that the withdrawal fee and deposit fee on the P2P can be compensated. I was able to make it, further the win kept me wager and at some point I have lost a little and increased bet value to recover the loss. Finally running for a small amount made me loss everything. Here, if I had control I could've saved atleast half the amount.

In my case, playing poker, I tend to play one hour sessions, whether I have bad luck and lose 5 stacks in the first 100 hands or the other way around (I play online and in one hour I can play 500 hands).

The point is to play EV+ and for that the short-term results do not matter. Normally if I win I don't alter the session, I play for about 1 hour, then I rest and then I can play again.

The only time I can end the session earlier is when I am on a bad streak and I am having bad results in the session, nothing good comes in, because to play good poker you have to be emotionally neutral and you have to make decisions based on mathematical calculation and intuition, but if the bad results can alter that thought process and affect you emotionally, it is better to stop.

If we can gamble in a controlled manner, we will easily be able to gamble in any situation. I don't have to think about the continuation of gambling or not. This question arises only when we have no control on gambling. Maybe even after winning large amounts, many people lose everything due to continuous gambling and lack of their controlling power. It will have no effect if gambling conducted with control.

This year I have been more immersed in the games with PF, I have added volume and I have added to my route the slots, that we are going to see if I stick to the maximum of 100 spins and bets $0.1 -$0.2 (I like 1 penny slots). Then it's simple, nice multiplier or nothing comes up, no more bets on that slot.

Btw even though I try not to get out of the betting cap at $0.2 (max), I found a challenge from a casino out there where the minimum bet limit was $0.5 and the minimum multiplier was 10x, I said let's see how it goes and this happened:

https://i.imgur.com/voYCunI.jpgStop  :)

I was lucky... in fact I made an extra bet... whatever, I closed the slots and no more. By the way, that's from just a few minutes ago.

https://i.imgur.com/1UqnVBE.jpg

Finally, In my case it is part of the fun to take these jumps of up to 50x of what is my minimum bet in the slots which is $0.01.

If I go gambling and if I can double my deposit with just a few bets in a short period of time then I will definitely quit playing if my intention is to make money.  But if my intention is to play there for fun then I will continue to play more with that money but I think people who are smart will stop playing then.  But if I continue playing then I withdraw my principal money and continue playing with profit money.

I am always able to stop myself when it comes to Gambling. I don't exactly understand why people are having hard time not to. Maybe price or winning feels too good sometimes so you feel like hungry man or something? I can't exactly understand psychology behind it. Its obviously good feeling when you finally hit strike after 15 times 20 times. But what if you waste your money for 50th time and you still lose... I can't accept it.

I am always able to stop myself when it comes to Gambling. I don't exactly understand why people are having hard time not to. It's good always to restrain yourself when you play gambling because that's what everyone and gamblers need to anticipate every defeat they get. But sadly, no one will know what we will get after 15 spins or even 50 spins, and we will only see it happen and regret it if we lose. Big wins obtained by others become something that attracts us to keep trying to get it. And some of us don't realize that it will only cause big losses, especially if we use big money.

Greediness is one of the reasons, through doing so they ended up loosing the more, at atleast a gambker should also have this sensitivity approach that when playing games, there's should be time to stop or continue, we've got alot of people making it good out from the casinos because they are wise enough to exercise caution while some will always go out of it with depression which is far away from the fun it's meant to serve.

Maybe price or winning feels too good sometimes so you feel like hungry man or something? I can't exactly understand psychology behind it. Its obviously good feeling when you finally hit strike after 15 times 20 times. But what if you waste your money for 50th time and you still lose

Some gamblers have already made gambling a lifestyle already that their whole day is dependent on the gambling, this isn't right, it's not a matter of literacy or not, this is addiction and lafk of self-control we are talking about, why must i be a gambler always identified as a one clothe man, wisdom is profitable to direct, some gamblers won't still leave despite the first winning, they still want to win more.

Funny enough I have learned this in the hard way.I usually like only Play n Go slot except a few times when I play other providers like Relax Gaming or No limit City. What I have learned from my experience of losing about 5400 USD from last December up until sometime ago when I decided to quit is that at this specific provider if you increase the bet 99% of the times you will go bust and only 1% it will result in you getting the bonus round or a big win to continue playing your favorite slot.I believe this to be the same with most other providers but I don't know, while for Play n Go I know it for sure as I have experienced it first hand.

This is the point. Because even if we are to have fun there but we are lucky enough, then there is really no reason for us to waste this.
Holding on and keeping the advantage is definitely better than getting stuck in a temporary win and not being able to defend because you keep on playing.
Technically, profit is a bonus, but when you get a profit, it is better to make a new plan because we know that this gambling must have a strategy in managing our balance.

If I win early I'll be tempted to keep playing but I usually try to stop after winning big.

OP is making this hard by asking about doubling my money because it can mean a few things. You can double the money you have deposited or double a single bet. If I had a bet of $10 and won, I'd keep playing, but if that bet was $10k, I'd stop for sure. Same with my money in the casino. If I had $20 there and kept playing with $1 bets until I get to 40, I'd probably still play, but if I got a jackpot and made it to $400 out of my $40, I'd stop playing.

I try to work on my greed.

When winning big or significantly big which an amount which i hadnt really able to get a hold on my entire life then i would really be calling it a day and would really be allocating some amounts for the next session.

So far i didnt really able to experience this one but rather ending up on getting small wins but it doesnt matter because i dont really play for money but rather for entertainment but there are indeed times

which i cant really able to ignore nor make yourself that tempted on doing gambling even more and hoping for more bigger wins but it is really just totally
depends on someones control.

I reckon.

The best choice is to stop and you just call it the day. No matter how much you've won at the quick glance with your bets, double or more than that.

If you've made that much and you think that it's decent enough, there's no need to prove that you're lucky with your bets and just stop.
This is a wise choice.

It's actually harder to control yourself and to stop when you're at positive and you keep winning because you've got money on your hands to keep on going.

Because when you've lost it all, you'll have no choice but to stop and call that a day because you have nothing left anymore to gamble and that's basically all you have to do and just go away and go home sadly.

Unlike when you're winning, you'll have the resources and that will encourage you to keep on gambling because that's almost nothing to you when you're at a winning streak.

if your goal is entertainment it doesn't matter, all there are ways to enjoy life including in other people's opinion it's risky. Many think that playing is just spent without seeing the fun in it. Far from in previous years many have sacrificed time like you. then if it's not free in my opinion, it's an individual right to access it. maybe in the future there will be more games than now which of course will be covered with the latest technology such as slots. Casino and other games

If you keep playing, there's a good chance you'll end up losing all the value (what you invested + what you won).
You may rarely be lucky enough to double the amount again (doubleply), but I'm sure that if you didn't stop the first time, you will hardly stop the second time, so the result will again be a zero balance.
I also always played until I lost everything, because what matters to me is entertainment, not profit.
The only thing that can't happen is you get too excited and end up investing more money than you had planned.

In the case of a quick win of 2x or more, there is a great desire to take the winnings and leave, and you even leave the site, but only to return later and try to win more, and this eventually deprives you of what you have already won, so unfortunately happens very often.

Yes, we should play gambling because we want to get entertainment from gambling rather than forcing ourselves to chase more winning money, especially if we can get big wins in a short time. That means we have become greedy and that greed is not good for us because if we continue, no one will know if we can win some more money or lose more money, even though we have already won large winnings.

I've noticed a lot of people talking about how they would stop if they won a life changing amount (obviously quite a lot). But this is just theory, in practice you have to risk smaller sums of money before you win the desired life-changing sums. Let's say you want to win a million dollars and your gaming session is going well - you have already made 50,000 out of 100 dollars. Do you really not stop and continue playing until you get a million (or lose everything)? After all, $ 50,000 is also a huge amount of money and it’s nice to get away with such a jackpot. And the other side is that risking $100 is one thing, but risking $50,000 is another. It seems to me that many will change their mind at this moment and will never reach a million.

This is a challenge whether we are able to get through it or not because if we continue to play and lose even with resources from profits, this is still not very good.
Lots of people often say self-control but this is not enough just with words and must be with real actions so that regardless of the benefits we get, of course we have to determine what we should keep.
Playing is still possible and it is an option but it would be better if we save that profit for another time.

In my active days in gambling I sometimes try to participate in the casino promotions like the one you joined. This makes gambling more worth it because it can double our profit and I feel that gambling this way makes more sense because you have a goal. You need to hunt for that certain multiplier or number but of course I do set my own limits too. In your case, it was 100 spins but for me it was the amount of money that I am willing to put in or afford to lose.

There are times where I found the numbers that I am looking for and I still not reached my gambling limit so I continue playing the normal way. I don't have to worry because I already have a prize to get later on.

I am taking a break every 5 rounds, whether I am winning or better to take a pause when I'm losing. Taking a break can help me to ease my mind and plan for the next step, because I knew myself if I will continue this thing and even though i am losing and losing I will make another deposit and will have  bad decision that will lead me to lose more, self discipline is hard but we need it.

Oh wow that's a big loss at one casino, it's good that you switched. If I were in your shoes I probably would have already switched casinos after losing 1,000-1,500 USD. Losing larger amounts or a lot of games in a row makes me cautious for depositing new money at the same casino, I would rather try my luck in the same game at a different casino. I know it's all probabilities and it doesn't really make sense to switch because it's the same probabilities of winning. But I am a little superstitious when it comes to gambling, same goes for winning or losing streaks. Some gambling sessions it's impossible to win, the longer I play the more I will lose, it's better to take a break and start fresh again. Especially if you feel like once you increase your bets you lose in 99% of the cases. The casino has an edge over us that will make them win in the long run. Before losing too much money I would always consider taking a break and save the rest of my bankroll for another day.

Exercising self-control over your actions is something that has always been really difficult, not only in gambling but in many other aspects of our lives, the one person which has learned how to do this has a huge advantage over the rest of the population because that means that in most circumstances regardless of how adverse they may be he has a way higher chance of taking the right decision, and this invaluable as many times life offer us choices that at the surface may not seem to be complicated but that at the long term they can change your life.

I personally prefer to stop when I have managed to double my balance, and of course the addiction still invites me to play, but most of the time I stop, and promise myself to stop on that day, then usually will play again a few days later, I think this is risk management and mentality for me, if I don't pay attention to it then I will lose.

I guess even if we say we gamble for entertainment, but we know deep inside we want to gain profits aside. And that’s when you get instant lucky and won huge amount. So for me, I will stop gambling immediately and just gamble again the next day. This has always happened to me and then continue to chase more profits because of greed, but still end up losing everything. So now, as much as possible I want to control my greed, so I can enjoy my profits without chances of losing them.

I don't usually prefer slot games because my luck is really bad, but if I try my luck at the slot one day and double my money, I will definitely withdraw my deposit and continue with the slot with my winnings. I don't like to take risks in gambling and therefore I prefer more secure(!?) methods. In fact, for this reason, I prefer to bet on football matches rather than games such as slots, because when I choose this way, I think that I create a prediction by at least some data. Of course, I also respect those who take risks. I wish everyone a happy and fun days... :)

Same here. I mean, I can't imagine betting $10k or even $1k at once, but if I hit a 200x+ multiplier on my bet, I stop in most of the cases. The only exception is when it's a higher multiplier contest, and I know that 200x wouldn't be enough to get a prize. In that case I will continue betting until I hit something bigger or lose enough to stop for the day.

But if my starting capital is just a peanut and I made it doubled? then i will play more not just for entertainment but to win of course.
I am not hypocrite enough to not admit my main intention and that is to gamble lol.

Of course, those who come to gamble will not just have fun and wait for their balance to run out and then leave the casino.
what you do is certainly realistic. gamble to win. get a big win, of course, will withdraw the winnings and leave the casino for a while.
it's possible that some heavy gamblers won't do that. one big win will trigger a greater curiosity for other victories. like thinking, today is a good day for me, and why not make the most of it? whatever happened after, there would probably only be regrets.

If it is about entertainment one has the right to play the way he wants but if it is about playing to make profit it is better to play ones , no need to continue to play.
Continous playing and expecting a win and at the end it turns up to be lose can lead to depression.
When someone was winning big amounts of money. Im sure that he/she will not even see that as an entertain anymore. People may call that as an entertain when they were bet with small amounts of money but once they will be winning like 500x multiplier and then they will be withdrawing their money. You ust also aware if we are still in the crisis and so many people need money. that proves that if there's no need to continue to gamble it but you may try to left small amounts of money in your wallet and then withdraw the rest.
Im sure that mostly of people will be withdrawing their money to their wallet rather than holding it even longer.

This is what makes gambling addictive, whenever you win and earn money from it, it attracts you to play more and win another game, I've been in this situation before so many times, there are times that whenever I keep on winning, it makes me more active and it gives me more energy to play even though it is already time to sleep, there is also some time that I already forgot to sleep because it is already morning.

There are also some instances that when you are already losing, it also makes you feel to play more and turn back the money that has been lost from you, so I suggest if you wanna gamble you should have disciplined and always know your limitations. be contented with your wins

Well it all depends on how much I've doubled. You don't expect me to quit playing for the day because I doubled my one thousand naira for Instance, I have to keep playing because I already have a target to achieve before leaving the house and if along the line, I meet my target even earlier, I still wouldn't have to leave especially if I have nothing doing back home.

Gambling is addictive most times especially when you're on the winning side, you would want to put more effort for a greater reward and most times end up losing.
Putting more efforts could be, putting more money and maybe betting on higher odds

You need to be careful, I could understand if this happened to people once in a while as no one has perfect control over their impulses and their emotions, but if this is something that happens to you with some frequency then it is time to put some attention to it.

Because as you say the desire to keep gambling can be incredibly strong in some people and this could cause them to gamble for a lot longer than what they planned and to spend more money than what they had in mind too, and neither of those options is healthy at all if you want to keep control over your gambling.

Some still see it a a form of entertainment despite winning big. However, most of them already see it as another source of income to make profit from the moment they consecutively win big after several attempt of betting. Initially, the thrill becomes their driving force to gamble, but as the time goes by and their winnings increase further, they become driven by the money it might bring them.

Although it must still be remembered that gambling isn't a shortcut to becoming wealthy or becoming a successful person. Because in the first place, there is no such thing as shortcut. Self-awareness must be practiced so that anyone won't be lost in their gambling journey.. Once you win, you should also assess the situation on when to continue and when to stop to avoid inflicting damages to oneself. Thinking about where to use the money the moment you withdraw is needed too, since as you've mentioned most people will withdraw their money instead of holding it. Checking where to intelligently put that fund can be beneficial to someone if they will do the right thing.

if your goal is entertainment it doesn't matter, all there are ways to enjoy life including in other people's opinion it's risky. Many think that playing is just spent without seeing the fun in it. Far from in previous years many have sacrificed time like you. then if it's not free in my opinion, it's an individual right to access it. maybe in the future there will be more games than now which of course will be covered with the latest technology such as slots. Casino and other games
If it is about entertainment one has the right to play the way he wants but if it is about playing to make profit it is better to play ones , no need to continue to play.
Continous playing and expecting a win and at the end it turns up to be lose can lead to depression.
If people who often gamble can realize this, I don't think there will be people who will experience depression, let alone have the desire to commit suicide because of a big loss. But that's what's happening all around us. People tend to want to recover their losses next time and if they win big, they still play with the assumption that it is part of the money they made in the process of recovering their previous losses.

But it would be better if they could stop immediately when they got a big win, especially if they could win a lot of money in a short time. It would be worth more to get than keep trying to recover their other losses.

If I doubled my money in just a couple of bets I would absolutely continue to play. I usually play because I want to entertain myself. I will follow at least half of the planned time for me to play in order to at least protect my gains. And nowadays I don't gamble big amounts unlike before the COVID pandemic, so doubling my money is not much for me. Maybe a few hundred dollars of profit would make me think of stopping or at least making a limit on my next bets so I can still take home some profits.

So for me, what matters is my playing time and the amount of the gain.

I think for anyone who's not risking big amounts, doubling their money isn't something significant. If you make $0.10-$0.25 bets, like I mostly do, doubling is nothing, right? Sometimes I continue playing even after hitting 100x, but if it's 400x or more, I stop right away. I'm not withdrawing the money I won. I will be betting with them in the future, but not the day I won them. I want to enjoy my winnings for some time.

It really depends on how we will tolerate ourselves after experiencing a big win. Sometimes, if we won big, there's a thing inside our mind telling us to continue gambling because after all, we are lucky. If we stop, we might not win again. That will now test how far we will continue to play.

As much as we can, always put a limit after a big winning. Maybe just risks around 10-15% of our total winnings.

It's ok to gamble again but we should at least enjoy the big money we won.
