Cristinao Ronaldo has been All the news recently: his problems with Coach and some teammates, the latest interview on the upcoming FIFA world cup and the most talked about topic CR7 NFTs soon coming on Binance today in a few hours...Given his huge fame and popularity in real world, the Cristiano Ronaldo NFTs are receiving more attentions in the crypto space, even Binance's CZ is supporting him. Will the CR7 NFTs beome a huge hit ?

AFAIK the Nft market flopped and it'll also affect the ongoing CR7 project though his fans will blow the Nft up but sooner, I predict, the NFT will drop too like bored Ape when the hype is gone.

No one can deny the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is already a superstar in the world of football and almost everyone who watches football knows about it. But in the crypto world it is not easy to predict because it depends on many factors.

The issue is whether Ronaldo fans will start buying, trading and selling NFT CR7 tokens once his ICO starts.

I think, if NFTs depend solely on one's fame or hype, it won't last long.

Partnering with Ronaldo will further boost Binance popularity in the sports world for sure, although they've plied their trade with Lazio and Brasileirao, it would still serve as positive publicity. I remember what happened to some celebrities that promoted FTX Exchange before, I think there are some rumors spreading that those celebrities are being sued like Tom Brady who promoted FTX Exchange before.
Now, I am surprised a big celebrity also promoted and now got NFT on the top cryptocurrency exchange. I hope issue with FTX Exchange will not affect these celebrity promotions on cryptocurrency relate.

Binance/CZ won't be taking him as back up for an NFT if he's not that influential at all. Binance knows how huge the market they can take with CRs fandom and community.

We'll have to wait until they post some announcements that it's a big hit and success. But I think that since he's got the deal with Binance and he's very popular, it has a big chance that it will become successful even if the we're in a bear market.

The ones who will benefit from that launch are the ones who are holding it already. They could sell the most limited edition at a high price, and in the future, it will go down in history as a project to have been bought and gone away. I do hope that it continues, but most of those types of projects should have some benefit to them and become inexpensive, and be developed continuously.

Maybe being in an official club could make it a thing that could help them be successful in that project. Is there a good resource to read about this?

I think the question is, if NFT will still be hype in the next coming bull run.

Because if it is, then for sure, all NFTs ,regardless if it is from CR7 or some some other sport personalities will have a huge jump in price as well, lets say in 2024-2025. But if the whole hype is replaced by a new thing in crypto space, then definitely their NFTs might die as well.

So hard to say what the future will bring, we will have to wait and see.

It may turn out to be a success maybe, but I don't think it will be a success suddenly like this year or the early quarters of next year. This year 2022 has been not so good for both NFT's and cryptocurrency and since we are already close to the end of the year, it is possible that this bad run spills into some weeks of the new year. It is possible that the binance team has a strategy to make this project a success quickly before it fades out, It has to be a really good strategy because NFT's already look to be loosing the hype.

As for the partnership, I think it's a win win for both parties, even if CR7 is not really playing good as of late, he is still considered as one of the greatest football player of our generation so he can still attract his fans, whether crypto enthusiast or not, to maybe jump on the bandwagon in NFT for him.

At the same time, Binance and CZ will have their exposure again in the biggest sporting event that we have right now which is the World cup.

So for now, both are going to enjoy the fruits of their partnership.

Cristiano Ronaldo has a huge number of fans all over the world. It is for fans that such an NFT of their idol will have real value and owning it will allow them to fix this status. It is the fans who will become the main buyers of this NFT, although most purchases will be made on the secondary market, and not directly through the Binance.

It will become successful, but in SHORT TIME!

Anyone who bought the NFT especially on pre sale and then sell it when you've get it with the cheap price, you will make huge profit when you sell it to public. But I didn't advice anyone to bought this NFT since the developer could be scam you or you're not get this NFT at the cheapest price when it's early launched. As sooner or later this NFT will become useless since they'll realized if NFT has no any benefit.

I doubt that it would. Even if Ronaldo has the popularity, it won't be enough. We've seen projects before promoted by celebrities and athletes but those projects still did not work as planned simply because not all investors especially in this industry can be easily carried away by popularity of the project. Many investors are putting much work on doing research for projects of interest to gauge if it would be worthy of investing their money with. Most of the time, projects under celebrities' name falls down upon being released in the market especially if its utility is not sustainable.  Unless the team of this project  will make changes with its concept concerning improvements.

There is no doubt that in a short time there may be a jump in the value of the nft when it is listed on binance, but long term success I doubt it, we have seen a lot of nft popularized by famous athletes but it only attracts momentary hype.

It seems like the hype gonna happen in a short time. I just learned from what happened with so many NFTs on opensea that have been released by so many big names. Those NFTs are nothing right now. The same scenario will happen with CR7 NFTs.

I didn't even something big like a any CR9 NFTs will have very big price floor. NFTs are still dead and it's not yet active like last year.

The hype of NFTs has gone. CR7 is too late to launch its NFTs. It might be last year when NFTs was still booming but not this time when everything are still in red.

As for Cristiano Ronaldo's NFT, depending on the circumstances it may be a good investment in the short run. For instance, if Portugal were able to win this world cup, it would bring him one more record and people would be compelled to purchase all sorts of fan-related paraphernalia and this could take his NFTs price to an all-time high, thus giving a lot of profit for those who bought in early.

Pointless nfts if you ask me.  What purpose do they serve other than striking it while the news around him is hot and the world cup is going?  Do they actually provide the owner anything or just another cute picture on the internet?

If there’s no utility then it will just an ordinary NFT with a pure hype so better to think again if you are planning to but. No hate but those players are just taking advantage of their popularity, sooner or later they will face the consequences especially when the value of their NFT started to crash. NFTs have turned to be pure hype without any purpose being fulfilled by it. Majority of the NFT that have come into existence is a way to make money out of their popularity. More number of football players are involved into it. This being a hype, we don't know on what mechanism the market of the specific NFT have risen. As mentioned it is good to watch his game and no need of buying it to enjoy his game.

isn't the NFT distributed to new Binance user members who use referrals? I'm not sure the NFT market is going to be that great. but in reality, it has been traded and the volume is also decent. However, the hype created by people with large followings can greatly affect trading in the market, even for assets that have no use.

Christian Ronaldo is a big super star and you don't expect he's NFT not to skyrocket because you say you will not buy it, then there are thousands of his fans that will buy it even though the price is $5k. We know that Ronaldo has so many fans just like Messi which make them more successful in anything they intend doing.

I know of many NFT that was launched and not that owned by a celebrity and they did well in then NFT market hitting more than 200×. NFT projects are majorly hyped so that more investors will buy  that is the reason why it does not always last.

Agree. We'd better simply see the celebrities as part of the NFT product/commodity rather its owner or investor. They are taking advantage of their fame and popularity, helping NFTs boost in a shor run to attract more buyers or investors. It's just a business deal. Personally I don't believe the celebrities would care much about any NFTs. Actually this is also like a football game. Once the match is on, and coach sents you to the field, you are striking hard with your teammates(partners in business) and you goal and win. That's it.


It is a hype and also correct that the market mechanism is uncertain. People choose what they believe in and then act accordingly. For reasonbale men, of course it is just good to watch his game and not to buy NFTs to lose money.


If Portugal won the World Cup, Cristiano's NFT would definitely be a huge success as well. I guess Cristiano has his plans after retiring from his professional football career. CR7 NFT is just something he might want to try. Not a big deal for him. It's better to see this as one of his biggest commercials, with the difference of his income being variable and huge profitable.

I still remember when Binance also launched Mobile Legend NFT's where they launched an NFT sale of Mobile Legend heroes. In just a few seconds, it was sold out because of how popular the game is and lucky for me, I got one. The problem is I can't sell it at a much higher price because nobody wants to buy it.

I'm not saying that it will also happen to CR7 NFT's, but if there isn't any use case to that NFT at all, it's value will be going down like what happened to Bored Ape or any other NFT's out there. Fame? Popularity? It doesn't matter because if there are nobody who wants to buy the NFT then it will be useless. On the other hand though, knowing that CR7 is very popular, there might be some fans of him that might buy the NFT's and keep them for good or they might re-sell it we don't know.

This project will definitely be successful if Ronaldo opens a special use area for NFT owners. If such an initiative does not occur, I think the project could potentially be successful again because he is Ronaldo. :)

I would never pay for such a product, but the demand for NFTs could reach very high levels if privileges such as messaging with Cristiano Ronaldo and getting signed products from him are provided thanks to this project. In other words, the project can be successful if it is built on the right foundations.

But even if those things could be gotten through this coin those are things you can get anyway elsewhere, so there is nothing exclusive you can get out of this coin, and we need to also recognize that most fans of Ronaldo are not going to ever use this NFT, the ones that are buying it and trading it are those which are aware of who he is and want to speculate with it as the world cup is ongoing, once the world cup is over this NFT will most likely disappear or at least crash like most of the NFTs we have ever seen.

It is good while it last.  Just wait until the value of these NFT's plummets.   I am not a hater but I do not see long-term potential in this kind of NFT.  It is good that initial buyers profited but I feel sorry for those who will be caught hanging when the hype diminishes. 


It is worth a dime for a Ronaldo stuff collector but for those who aren't interested, it worth nothing.  I have seen this kind of strategy, become hot for a short period of time but then become idle after some time.  I hope this kind of thing doesn't happen to CR7.

The success or failure of a product depends on market demand. If you consider Ronaldo's current popularity, I believe that the NFT launched will reap great success.  But this is just a prediction that I can give, and we'll see the results together

Just like what I replied previously, to CR's fans, all those by-product services are worth huge. They will and many more will buy that.  I guess we just have to see CR7 as a more appealing product than normal commodity and don't think too much.

Yes, maybe. but it's only temporary like NFTs offered by other artists and will drop when the hype ends.
some of the big NFTs that used to be there and seemed to be very valuable are now not as high value after the hype died down.
maybe some people think NFT CR7 will be a huge success and last for the next few years, but we'll see when the world cup ends whether NFT CR7 will still have that success.

Bro he is Ronaldo one of the worlds best, if he sells a t-shirt with his pic on it, it will sell fast because of his huge fan base. The same thing with CR7 NFT, am sure lots of NFT top players are waiting to get their hands on it once the sale is on, with the support of binance I really think it will sell out fast depending on how the sale is conducted.
If you are not an nft fan, you should not bother since it may confuse you.

that's what i am thinking. just look at his instagram followers or other social media channels, he has millions of it. so this CR7 NFT, if he promotes it, for sure, it will be sold out fast, even if some of them are not really crypto users. they will find a way how to get a hold of it. and considering that it is binance, a trusted crypto-exchange, that's another plus factor. don't be surprised if this will be sold out once released.

I would assume the virtual meet & greet would be valid to the guy who minted the nft, or at lest once per each nft. In this case I don't see much resale value. And if you did not have the "zoom call" with cr7... how could you prove that?

There might be an option for this if CR7 really wants to sell his NFTs then probably there will be a meet and greet so if you are a fan of CR7 then this could be your chance but this can’t guarantee any return from your investment. Binance listing is not a guaranteed success, so look at the hype and see if its worth buying or just an ordinary NFT with a hype.

Christiano Ronaldo has the fan base for any project he embarks on to be successful. Irrespective of his fall out with his coaches and teammates, his fans still love him unconditionally and those who are crypto savvy among his fans will give total support to see the project to be a success. Hard to evaluate Cristiano Ronaldo NFT collection, as it has a good trading volume, but the value of NFTs is very volatile, from 10 cents to $13 trillions. The problem with CR7 NFTs are in its amount. Currently there are more than 1.5 million NFTs available. With such a huge amount of NFTs, it is impossible for them to become exclusive, which means they will never cost a lot. I would say they these NFTs will never have huge success.

It's hard to tell for me. I have to admit though that i do not know to much about those NFT's. I heard though that everyone that signed up as a new user on Binance got one of those NFT's for free and i think we all know what happens if some platform gives away something for free in the Cryptoland. Thousands of airdrop hunters will join this giveaway. I am aware that you need to register at Binance and also that you need to do KYC in order to be eligible but it is also true that those airdrop hunters from India have no problem to fake 50 different identities. So i can hardly imagine that those NFT's will really be valuable.

surely some of CR7 fans are gonna be bagging his NFTs, the fame of NFT might be dissipating but it's rather undenied fact that some of NFTs are still gonna be selling, moreover it seems binance trying hard in reviving the NFTs by  releasing CR7 NFTs that has really huge amount of fans, but in this case, successful is relative, i'd say even if the NFTs are being sold out even if the value isn't that high, it's already such a success.

CR7 has 500 million followers, most of them are dedicated fans and he is struggling with both national team and his professional team as he was recently sacked. I believe those fans will try to cheer him up by purchasing his goods.

It wont be enough NFTs to cheer all of 500 million, as there are only 1.5 million NFT. Not all of them are aware of cryptocurrency. And the trades are not doing really great - cheap NFTs are being traded, expensive - no one buys them. By cheap I mean less than $1 worth. We can compare results of CR7 NFT with football clubs altcoins. They exist, they are traded, but demand isnt crazy. Football club fans do not rush to buy them.

Well even if I am not sure about the future of NFTs I think CR NFT will have some success because of his huge fanbase and groups of loyal supports he has all over the world.

Binance is really going to make a push for them and if Portugal wins this world cup then the price will be even higher for CR NFT. I really believe that CR and Messi NFT token will show some profits to hodlers when we enter the 'bull market'.

I also believe that CR's fans won't rush to buy his NFTs simply to cheer him up. Actually, Cristiano does not need to be cheered up at all as he will be soon joining the Saudi Arabian club. Football fans are eager to watch exciting matches more than digital product online. This is not to say that CR7 will not be a huge hit, just saying most of his "pure" fans are not irrational to buy NFTs for his smile.

We are waiting for whether the fans will be fanatical or not, business ideas by utilizing figures are not creative and I'm sure as enthusiastic for a moment, maybe at the beginning there will be many investments but slowly they are bored and drop again.

So does the bigger part of his followers - they dont understand what NFTs are and why they have and will be having value in future. If Cristiano Ronaldo would have released physical card collection, it would be more unique. I'm afraid that it is still based on hypes only where the price is still competitive to actually invest on. I don't know what would happened after world cup with this NFT considering so many NFT celebrities ended up with losses after the hype is gone and they just forget it right away.

But if CR7's NFT launched on Binance, then I guess there is still hope for those holders I guess?

I personally don't understand fan tokens or fan collectables, but old physical collectable sport cards have been selling with insane numbers. That's because they are part of history, like some nfts are now.

And i find it sort of odd that people say nfts are not trendy anymore when whole crypto marketcap is down, they are excluding nfts as a failed experiment. It's like they can't remember what happened to alts when they crash. NFT is dead should be similar meme as crypto is dead. NFT Global Sales Volume Index is still higher then in start of 2021.
And because we are early and some nfts are insanely expensive, there are ton of spikes in prices so it would be impossible to do any TA with it.

And i am only talking about collectables now.
