Title: What happened with crypto?
Post by: xanto on November 19, 2022, 11:29:38 PM
Hi all,my friends
I've been away from cryptoworld for 2 years and i want to ask something to the esteemed audience
What the fuck is going on here?
I'm sorry,i don't have any other words
Why is bitcoin trading at 2020 prices?
This is unbelievable!!!
I sold all my bitcoins in 2021 and went to live in another country and left the cryptoworld, but i'm shocked
Is this all because of the war?
Or because of the government sticking its nose into this market?
What happened????

How many years have you been in the crypto space?
If you know the crypto market very well you might understand what's going on.

I suggest you visit those Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin news websites (https://cryptolinks.com/cryptocurrency-news).  It'll give you up-to-date information regarding what's going on now but of course only those reliable sources.

You sold all your Bitcoin, I think it's time now to full your bag again.

You don't need an exact answer for that. From now on, expect this kind of trend in the crypto market.

That's the reason why you are surprised because you are outdated. Will you continue your journey here?

If you want now to keep always updated with crypto, start to involved now.

You first registered in this forum in 2013. I would expect you to be familiar with Bitcoin price movements all the way from 2013... The current situation is actually normal and happens after every bull run.

You don't expect Bitcoin price to keep climbing higher and higher without any correction or consolidation phase.

Understanding what's going on is the key to realizing what's happening in the market. It's been a while since you are not updated on crypto but it won't take you a long read and research to understand what's currently happening right now. Take a time to read any news about crypto.

The bear market is part of the crypto-market happenings since the beginning of crypto. Not all the time that the situation will be favorable to us.

Try to relax a bit and just be calm as there's no other choice but to be patient.

It means you have been in the market long enough and you only recently left the market i think you also know how the market works over the years so your questions are meaningless. Once the bear season arrives, there will always be a reason for the price of bitcoin to drop, and things won't change from the previous bear season. But you have come back at the right time, this is the time for you to buy back bitcoin at low price and wait for another bull run to take profits.

Ups and downs, good or worst, bull or bear, that was really common to happened in crypto and if you don't have that strong will to survive during a crash, you are not ready yet to stay here. Emotions, stress are really something you can't avoid to feel in crypto.

Of course that was just normal expression but if you will keep yourself active now in crypto, you will soon understand what's going on a given trend.

Are you asking why the price of bitcoin has dropped so significantly when compared to the price you bought it in 2021? This is 2022, in bitcoin history, using every 4 years after halving, the price do drop 2 years after halving. The last halving occured in 2020 and this is 2022 which is 2 years after. The drop was as a result of bear market which is normal, it has nothing to do with the war.

2023 would be bullish and bearish, followed by 2024 halving and another massive bullish trend would come.

What happened????
I don't think you need to be surprised by the current market conditions. what surprised you?
If you are long enough with your asset holdings and also your experience in the crypto market, I'm sure nothing will surprise you from the current market situation. because of course, you gain experience from how long you have been in the crypto market.
you can go by following the news on some social media which will indeed tell you what happened. Even though you have sold all your assets, that doesn't mean you don't have a track of what you follow on social media.
Whatever your reason for returning to the crypto market, maybe now is the right time for you to start your investment plan again.

Yes, the government still not understanding it that BTC couldn't be controlled so they stick their nose for regulatory capture, and crashing the market thru FTX collapse will be the start of it.

But of course, I'm wearing my tinfoil hat. It's just the cycle of the crypto market, nothing is going but a bear market that is normalized in crypto due to the halving.

This is like previous events where the price will decrease after bitcoin reaches a peak. But this time, we didn't expect the decline to be very drastic and almost touched the lowest point in 2020 and has already passed the lowest price in 2021. This gives us the experience that bitcoin is still moving very wildly and can be at any price point so we have to be careful if we want to invest in bitcoin.

The cause may be war, global problems, or government interference in the market. But since the beginning of this year, a lot of news and events have decreased the bitcoin price. We can only survive and you have a good time buying or investing in bitcoin again, considering that you already made a profit in 2021.

If you have sold your bitcoin back in 2021, I guess you got the all time highs around 60k USD, in which case a late congratulations are in order.

However you must have seen the ups and downs that happen in this world and hence should not come as a surprise that an exchange got hacked and the shitstorm started with that after a long drawn bear market where price was on the lower end of 20k for a long time eventually crashed to 16k.

But now since you are back, you should start buying once again, if you are willing to ride to coaster once more.

But what exactly made you come back to this forum once again? - if I may ask, I am curious to know.

Unsurprisingly, this sort of thing should be very familiar in the crypto market regardless of the current reason.
Drops can be interpreted as something normal for the price of bitcoin, and you shouldn't be surprised about it even though we are currently at a big discount. There are many reasons today why prices are falling and these have probably been discussed at any time in the space.

But you are lucky, you have sold all your bitcoin in 2021, that should have made you very profitable. You can buy them again and top up your bitcoin wallet for future investments. It's a cycle that won't come as a surprise if you know how the crypto market works.

It's no secret
Honestly,i was not even interested in bitcoin all this time
In all that time and looked at its price literally 15 times,i had more important things to do
I was growing my business internationally
And i came back because i decided to remember what made me get rich and was surprised that bitcoin returned after such a huge growth to the priec
I am an advocate of decentralization but i think that the government can control the crypto market
It's already correlated with the US stock market

What are you talking about? It's just bear market. You got lucky for selling at the peak price. Now you think it's over.

The government can't control the crypto market. It can start all over again even if BTC can drop to $8k, BTC will live. As long as there are people who resist giving up freedom, crypto will live and will have a market running.

Thanks for the feedback
But the government will try to control bitcoin and eventually it will succeed, because investing in cryptocurrency is a huge drain on capital, which no government needs
I didn't say it's over,i just said im surprised at the price of bitcoin at the moment

Hi all,my friends

Why is bitcoin trading at 2020 prices?
This is unbelievable!!!

It is normal and not unbelievable. Take the opportunity to invest before the next bull. It happened in 2017 and happening again. Those that invested around $4k got profit during the ATH.
Or because of the government sticking its nose into this market?
What happened????

Not that. Whether the government stick out her nose or ear won't stop the way bitcoin is working. There are bull times usually times after halving and bear that happens far more before the next bull which is around this time if you can calculate very well from the last halving. So the government don't have a hand in it.

I'm guessing that you sold at a quite high price in 2021, at least over $40–50,000. Since you already know Bitcoin's capabilities in terms of value, consider this an opportunity to acquire it and prepare for the new bullish season. Unfortunately, the economy is in a dire situation worldwide for a variety of reasons, such as the war, the energy crisis, excessive inflation, etc., which isn't helping any kind of investment, from stocks to assets and cryptocurrencies. Even the S&P 500 index has lost value in the past few months.

To summarize, this period is a great time to acquire discounted Bitcoin if you have the available budget.

I'm curious at what price you sold your Bitcoin. I hope that it does not fall below this price. Nothing is wrong with Bitcoin; it is simply reacting to the global economy because it is a part of it. The entire cryptocurrency market has collapsed as a result of numerous negative news stories. For example, Luna and FTX drama. You are missing a lot of things here because you have been disappeared for a long time. So, just be active, and you'll notice a lot of things you've been missing for a long time.

Don't get mad or get surprised by the market trend because that is how it really works. I know you are also aware of the situation last 2018-2020 where there is too much drop happen and it has just happened again. And instead of wondering why the price of crypto is still low than you think, better help yourself to accept these changes whether you like it or not, the drop certainly will come and so the price increase.
I'll take this time to buy more...

Everything is possible in the cryptocurrency market. It's already proven over time, ever since the beginning of Bitcoin, there are a lot of things happening in the Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency market, it's not always the upside only but also the downside. So always expect the unexpected.
So for me, my answer to your question of what happened to cryptocurrency market is part of the cycle, it's not always "UP ONLY", expect also the corrections or downsides.

Yes, he shouldn't panic at the current state of the crypto market because he should be used to it and have experienced it before. Or maybe he is not very active in following crypto news so this condition makes him confused in determining what he should do. But we don't know his true intentions and can only give what we know. The rest, he had to look for other information to find clues about what he could do.

It's because of the volatility of bitcoin and that's how it goes. No one can give the exact reason for it but we can all lean to the reason that it's because bitcoin is a very volatile asset. Good for you that you're able to move and enjoy your profits during the bear market and you can still make that much again while we're at the LOW price because we're in a bear market. You've seen how high it has made last year and it's low to be said right now. As you come back, you're all the means to reinvest again to bitcoin.

Don't you know about crypto market that it is highly volatile? You may be able to see a huge pump again and the highest ATH price also. Now we are in bear market that's why almost all cryptos are trading at a very cheap price. So it's the correct time to invest in cryptocurrency in my thoughts.

Well, there are so many things that happened in the last two years passed --last year if you don't know, the bitcoin price reached twice the ATH in the market and some experts say that it will happen again in the future. But now bitcoin has struggled price to pump up because there are a lot of negative news that happens. If you want to grab the opportunity to restore back your bitcoin --do it now while the bitcoin price is very cheap in the market. Soon when the time comes, it will reach again the ATH's possible bullish trend will come.

I am not surprise OP is completely lost about everything going around the crypto space having been absent for over 2 years.  Bitcoin went up to an ATH $64k during this two years of been absent and there have been series of events that has triggered this drop in price which includes FTX crash, and before now we had china ban on Bitcoin, regulations and many other events. And i will add that Bitcoin pumped too fast in 2021 and this added to the price retesting

What happened????
Indeed the price of Bitcoin today 21/11/2022 is traded more and less at the $16k level, that's the current price far if you compare it to one year ago, but the current decline in Crypto if you study and read on the internet, you will find dozens of reasons and the Bitcoin/crypto market factor plummeted inyear 2022, but if you ask me personally, of course I don't associate war, government interference in the current phenomenon of the crypto market crash.

Government and war is not what we see this time and it's not the main factor, you remember the iraq, Afghanistan war and you remember the Chinese government treated crypto, but Bitcoin/other types of crypto can still go to the highest level when the time comes.

I am more inclined to fall on Bitcoin or the crash of the crypto market due to several things, such as: Global Inflation, rising interest rates, pessimistic investors and falling of FTX exchanges, I personally tend to think like that, falling of the crypto market this year, but I am sure and remain optimistic that all of this what is happening at the moment on the crypto/Bitcoin market will recover and reach its highest point again, when the time comes.

Yes, the government still not understanding it that BTC couldn't be controlled so they stick their nose for regulatory capture, and crashing the market thru FTX collapse will be the start of it.
What i want you to understand is that government is against of cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin right from upset, because from the initial they taught that Bitcoin will take over a fiat currency and their stocks money will not be valuable at any point in time. I want to you to understand that it's obvious that anything government is control of, they always look for a possible ways of eliminating it's establish.

This is just a phase of Bitcoins, and it’s pretty normal to be honest. OP are you serious that you aren’t familiar with the trend that is going on? It’s basically just a bear run, which often comes. I mean it won’t be always that Bitcoins will climb up the prices. Rather than worrying about the price, it’s the golden opportunity to grab the Bitcoins in this low price. Don’t panic and buy as many coins as you can in this bear market.

I guess you already know by now the reason of this recent drop. For me, the major contributor was this FTX failure, and binance bailing out as they couldn't handle the mess FTX is in right now. There's always a reason why we will always have this up and down movement. And the government regulations towards crypto will for sure be a part of it. But I don't think the government can have total control on crypto market, because they can't.

He's just clearly been shocked on where prices do really ends up on the time that he had decided on going back to engage with the market, and since he had made out some profits with those pumping times.

Then it cant really be just avoided that you would really be expecting something high in towards price on the time you had decided to have some break or leaving crypto market for a while, which you would be
anticipating that on the time you would came back where prices is already on the rooftop but this isnt the case that he had able to see on the time he had able to do so.
Actually if you are aware on how this market works then this isnt something that could really shock you anymore.Youl would really be that familiarized and getting used to into these
kind of unpredictable movements. So there's nothing new with these kind of movements and situations.

When you were in the cryptocurrency industry before you took a break for 2years, did you ever read any principle that said that coins will continue to go up and up and will not come down ?
That is not even the law of motion, anything that goes up must surely come down. So if you are fully involved in crypto before you took break you should know that bitcoin exhibit a cyclical movement, it will go up and come down.
Bitcoin is not a stable coin and it is volitile.

Don't you know about crypto market that it is highly volatile? You may be able to see a huge pump again and the highest ATH price also. Now we are in bear market that's why almost all cryptos are trading at a very cheap price. So it's the correct time to invest in cryptocurrency in my thoughts.

Also in my experience, it is right right to invest in crypto just like a top altcoins BTC, ETH, BNB etc. In future, they will give a good profit when market will be stable and its price will be pump. Also search for a good project to invest if you want. (DYOR)

 -  It seems to me that the war between Russia and Ukraine has nothing to do with the fall of bitcoin mate. You probably know that the risk volatility of Bitcoin is too high, right? so you should not be surprised or surprised whatever the price of bitcoin is in the market today.

Then if you sold your bitcoin and you got some income from it, that's good on your part because at least you had a chance to get a profit from bitcoin.

It's good to buy bitcoin now in the market while it's low, then hold it long-term until 2024 comes to the bitcoin halves, which the community is expecting something good to happen in the possible bull run. Agree with long-time experts in this industry.

In my opinion, you know the crypto world goodly so you can invest low price coins such as shib inu, doge, tron, hbar, xlm etc. As I think that It will get good profit after three or four years later.

I think that this is not thing to be wondering because ups and downs are related always with trading and investment and if you had previous experience then you should remember that in previous certain years bitcoin become down but as the time proceeded it come back to its high value. We all have firm believe that bitcoin will pump and even now its not so low to be buy easily.

This is cyclical. These aren't 2020 prices actually these are more of 2019 prices when bitcoin almost went to rock bottom of that previous cycle. The same thing is happening right now with bitcoin in this cycle. Lucky for you that you sold at the right time and yes you are once again back in the market at the very right time if you wish to enter again. You might not find such low prices any time again, just compare this with 3-4k lows of the previous cycle.

There's no need to be surprised at what's happening with cryptos, as this is a regular occurrence after the bitcoin price made a new ATH late last year. If you have seen what happened to the crypto market in the past few years, you will understand that the cycle is now repeating itself to rid the market of useless tokens and coins. You should be grateful that you sold all your bitcoins in the last year because now you can buy more bitcoins at a lower price and hold them until their price creates a new ATH again. No one knows what caused it and we can only speculate by looking at the situation that is happening out there.

As usual, Bitcoin price tend to drop too much when in bear market and it would stay long until there's a halving that would trigger a bull run. There are few lucky people just like you who does earn a good profit during the bull market but there are quite unfortunate people too that didn't make enough profit during the bull run.

So now, we are in the bear market, it will be another long days of holding and accumulation phase. But if you are interested to get back in Bitcoin again, it isn't too late since now that you have a business I guess you are successful with it. Why don't you reinvest again and try to hold them for a long time?

You have an experience of this market already, I'm sure it won't be that hard to make profit in the future.

The most experienced tend to believe that bitcoin is in an accumulation phase due to the -76% price drop since last year's ATH. They have always believed that bitcoin has the potential to become more valuable in the future where $100K is the ATH target. If they are currently ignoring bitcoin as an investment asset worthy of their consideration, then I'm not sure as to why.

I recommend bitcoin more often than altcoins which also lose value in this bear market as a long term investment. Bitcoin is still the best and they must realize that now is the time to buy a lot.

the case is the following:

1 - there was a war in ukraine that caused a world financial crisis, so bitcoin was also affected

2 - there was the case of Luna, you can research about it, it was another torment that caused the price to drop a lot

3 - now there was a very big and serious case of FTX that you can also research and you will understand everything

so these are the 3 points that made the price drop a lot, but the price will recover in the future, people have to be patient that it will recover

Actually, the price of btc and other cryptos are not predicted anyone, because it looks like to business. It is always changed and it will happen continuously.  :o

this is a big NO, man investing in these shitcoins is the same as offering money to some stranger and believing that this same stranger will bring the money back, this is a serious mistake, when the bitcoin market drops a lot the altcoin market it falls much more than bitcoin and when the bitcoin price recovers, the altcoin price only recovers against dollars but continues to fall a lot against bitcoin, not to mention that the owners of these shitcoins just create shitcoins to make money and disappear, abandoning shitcoin, the best investment and bitcoin, and safer and more profitable in the long run

For a guy who came and registered here in 2013, I don't think such question is what you should be asking by now. Except you only registered and left almost immediately, otherwise your question should've been what your personal experience would've supplied you answer to. Well, I would say that what happened to crypto is price correction in general and nothing much to worry about. Those who're hodling utility tokens shouldn't be scared. Price will bounce back.

Well the war might also have impact on it but not really. Bitcoin is not a physical currency that war, state government or authority can easily destroy it. What really happened is that the bitcoin market is not stable so it goes up and down and now it has come down again

Anything could happen.Prices could crash out and prices could pump or fly out but no one really knows on what would happen in future years ahead.
This is why risk acceptance and management do really need on this investment which make yourself fully aware.

I'm definitely going to use the little I have to buy Bitcoin right away. I believe it will surely pay off.

There are too many talks about what's going on, but in reality nothing major has happened so far. It has dropped after FTX as we all know, but since then it's just recovering small by small but that is expected and normal, we shouldn't really expect it to do anything shocking just yet.

The best thing to do would be making sure that people are focusing towards making money and I believe that the best way to do it would be getting in a position before it goes up and not many people realize that it will eventually go up and it will go up very fast, so waiting until it starts to go up will not work, it will be a bad idea and you should get in right now.

From the previous era of the bitcoin's all-time high, we experience already a good profitable market and not all the time it happens currently we are sitting with a price of 16-20k and which is the same last the ATH of the market if this might happen again there's a chance we see the lower price of 3k if this break the 10k mark and having a right time of investment you can grab the opportunity again to make a position and hold for the long term, it is ideal if you make yourself updated in the current situation instead of getting late again.

Seems it didn't create an interest in the community because of obvious reasons and in fact, it's not really a necessary thing to do. I hope his spirit didn't go down and don't think that the community is not that friendly. In fact, they are giving instead good pointers on OP.

Nothing wrong in bitcoin trading in old rates. This is how bitcoin market works. This should be treated like second opportunity for the people who missed out the boat but started watching the market around the times of ATH. When you are confident about scaling back ATH, definitely you will come forward to risk something. So, in my opinion, revisiting the old prices must be a right approach for encouraging adaption rate.

Honestly I got interested into bitcoin when it hit $1000 for the first time and I got opportunity to buy around 5x lesser than that price levels in January 2015. I read many people wishing from on this community to enter and hold at cheaper prices. Simply we can say, bitcoin is playing with basic human psychological things.

Don't be too sure about that, any project that isn't Bitcoin can collapse at anything even though they're currently top rated coins. We have seen this happened before and it just repeated itself in this bear market. There's no altcoin too big for the market.

Bitcoin is the only coin that can guarantee you a future profit. Other coins or projects can make one mistake and the community that was backing it leave the project and before you realized it, it has collapse. FTX made a mistake and they're paying for it.

They made use of customers funds for their own interests and immediately that information came out the exchange collapse. Just be careful with altcoins investment in this time of the market.

Don't be too sure about that, any project that isn't Bitcoin can collapse at anything even though they're currently top rated coins. We have seen this happened before and it just repeated itself in this bear market. There's no altcoin too big for the market.
In fact you are not asked to 100% believe in bitcoin without any doubt. As a result, you have to keep thinking about the future, and you shouldn't put 100% of your money in bitcoins without having some other investment, be it physical or any kind of investment.

Bitcoin is the only coin that can guarantee you a future profit.
Your assumptions shouldn't be completely correct because the future is just a possibility. No one knows about the future, so how can you guarantee someone will get profit? Bitcoin won't guarantee your make good return, but because bitcoin has something good to consider as a long-term asset (adoption as currency), it's likely that trading won't just stop and the volatility will allow you to make or lose (depending on your investment management).

Always think about the risks, you have to treat them wisely and you have to be responsible for everything that might happen to your investment. Bitcoin is certainly a great long-term investment, but some altcoin can also be considered.

I agree that bitcoin is a safer investment than altcoins, but I also cannot trust bitcoin 100%, the future of bitcoin is still in question. Every investment is risky, even investing in gold is risky, so diversifying your portfolio is essential, don't pour all your money into bitcoin, it's a bad decision.

Not all altcoins are bad, but finding altcoins worth investing in is really hard and takes a long time. So I will only choose bitcoin for my crypto investment, the rest I will allocate to non-crypto investments.

Also in my experience, it is right time to invest in crypto just like a top altcoins BTC, ETH, BNB etc. In future, they will give a good profit when market will be stable and its price will be pump. Also search for a good project to invest if you want. (DYOR)

Mtgox, cryptsy , ftx and more to come will always there become a huge sentiment in our early crypto journey .. the ups and downs should be a routine that we aware about. For those who can see careffuly as an opportunity would become the one who enjoy the 100x ride in the future , that's almost a guaranteed rewards especially for those believers in bitcoin.

The revolution of money is very clear in front of our eyes , catch it or leave it in deep regret , we are in a very healthy market especially if it's about the bear and bull run , pick a side.

I'm definitely going to use the little I have to buy Bitcoin right away. I believe it will surely pay off.

Well here personally, I am never one to give advice on buying or selling, but I believe that the best investment in the world is Bitcoin, to every person, friend or someone that I get and wants to give good advice is to buy bitcoin, because I know that it is the currency that in the near future will have great power, above any fiat currency, it will even have more value than gold, it will be the safe haven that every person wants to have for their life and be their insurance of life, this is something that I have always known and it will always be so.

When we review the history of Bitcoin we know that each ATH is higher than the other, and that it cannot be measured, I have a friend who told me that bitcoin can reach $1M in 10 years, and that is a very good thing I believe him...

Op, you should have done some research first so you'll know the possible occurences that influence the market. This is actually how a crypto investment works. The market will not stay in green colors all the time so it needs a lot of courage and patience to wait for the right time to sell. You should know how to take advantage of every market condition and not blame the market alone if it isn't moving upwards. If you have seen how the market moved before, you'll have an idea of how it could recover again.

The market takes correction after every bull run and there is always a bull run after bearish season. Normally people ignore this fact that the idle time to buy bitcoin is when its bearish i.e. the current one. Rather then asking such questions that what happened to market? Its better to start accumulating bitcoins. But this require patience and trust in bitcoin, which qualities are not possessed by everyone.

The cryptocurrency market on its own provides all the justifications you require. If you were active in the cryptocurrency market two years ago, looking back at the peak price of bitcoin and its current price will show you that things have changed, and there may be an opportunity for you to invest now and make even more money than you did before.

When you do have the real experience and awareness on how this market moves then you wont really easily freak out on the time that it would really making out some bearish movement. Its not something new and

its just really like a typical day here on crypto space. You cant really be able to sustain or withstand this market if you do see yourself that too impulsive then this market isnt for you.

When you are just still a noob then these kinds of reactions are really that pretty normal.Market cant really just be having a single direction or path on which
these ups and downs are really just that its main characteristics.

Anyone that gets into the cryptocurrency industry and wants to be successful must surely understand the nature of the industry. You cannot be successful in a place you don't know the rules and regulations otherwise can be called the working principle of the industry.
One thing about bitcoin is that almost everyone knows that bitcoin is cyclical unless the nnew commers. But when bitcoin begins to go in cycle when it is in the place of bull run everybody will be happy and enjoy the monkey when the other cycle of bearish trend starts, people will start crying and creating FUD.
Nothing happend with crypto, that is how it used to be

If you see the following price chart of Bitcoin, then it's high time to buy. The irony is that most of us take crypto as a place to get rich overnight, and with that mindset, one is deemed to lose money. I would say bitcoin is not down at all rather its available at discounted rate, waiting for us to buy. We don't know whether its the bottom or not, DCA is best strategy to accumulate bitcoin.

Were you expecting another ATH for bitcoin? If so, I'm interested to know why you're so shocked that it's now trading under $17,000. You will notice that there is always an upward and downward movement of the price if you do understand how the bitcoin market functions.

I would have encouraged you to buy some bitcoin now while the price is cheap and hold onto it in your portfolio until 2024 since you have decided to return to cryptocurrencies rather than stay away. There is a chance here. After investing in cryptocurrency, you have the option to choose to stay away from it until the bull run in 2024.

Season's changed. Bull market was over and Bearish market took over, which is a good opportunity to buy again and wait for the next bull run. There's nothing new to be honest, I bet you experience a lot of bearish market already but it seems like you didn't know the term. Volatility is one of the reasons why Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency are all red, you know, altcoins always follow Bitcoin, when it's down, then most of them are all down as well.

For what is happening now in cryptocurrency is not only we are in bear season, but also we face a lot of difficulty in the market, just like what happened to Luna, then followed by  Ftx scandal, greyscale, lot of Fud in crypto.com also to binance, and more.

Because of these situation, the market down rapidly, and lot of fear of the community to push them to withdraw their assets and transferred it in which they think it is safe.

Due to the situation the crypto market will go down quickly, but the price of the coins will rise again it is not right to rush in such a situation. Staying in one place will save you from major damage the size of the cryptocurrency market is very small along with this, the volatility in the crypto market is also high. This is the reason for the rapid decline in the crypto market investments can be done partially depending on the current market conditions.

if you've known bitcoin for a long time, I don't think you'll be surprised by what's happening to bitcoin today.
bitcoin price is like a cycle there is always a bullish season and a bearish season, it will always happen in the future.

see bitcoin price chart from 2010 to 2022

source (https://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/121815/bitcoins-price-history.asp)

after looking at the picture above we can see the bitcoin price cycle every 4 years has halving and the bullish season arrives causing the price to reach ATH.
but when the price reaches ATH, of course the bulls will also leave the market soon and the bears will take over the market and the price will drop very deeply.
and currently the price of bitcoin is really very cheap and if you want to go back to buying bitcoin to fill your wallet pocket and hold it for the long term, now is the right time.

PS : i don't suggest you to buy now but DYOR before buying bitcoin. there will likely be a second recession hitting prices in the market

And I will also suggest if you are wanna invest now then invest in the bitcoin for avaoiding osses,।

Investing Bitcoin right now, it's a nice target, because they is every tendency that the of Bitcoin might rise now or next, but i understand i understand that most of people do like to have or gather the momentum to run investment in Bitcoin when it's positive or advantages in Bitcoin, in summary Bitcoin acceleration has occur, so the best time to invest in Bitcoin is when the price going low consistently, so we are not suppose to panic when it's on bearish, because it favour both the buyers and the holders.

In short, people do always look for the bottom price and this had been always the case on why they do still tries out to wait up for that particular point which we know that there's no way on knowing
on wheres the sweet spot.If you've been here on this market for a while then these kind of movements wont really be freaking you out but instead you would be seeing this as an opportunity to buy cheap.
We do all wait for this kind of opportunity but due to some circumstances on which we do really seek upon on things which we know that it would really be totally in random.
Crypto space is really like a roller coaster like ride, if you cant able to bare up with the risk then you would definitely easily just freak out.

Have you ever experienced a bearish market previously? Or you are new to this?
This crypto market is now in the bearish market era where crypto prices will be crashed at, where the FUD is always spreading and influencing the price to be much worse. This is the era where many people are depressed because of this crashed market. But, on the other hand, this is also an era where many people can reach and afford much more Bitcoin to invest for long-term holding because the price is exactly really dropped. So, calm down mate, every thing will be okay again in the next bullish era. You just wake up too early  ;D

First as a member who have been on this forum for so longer you should have understood the price of bitcoin and it's movement, get it that bitcoin price increase and decrease is not something new to the system and without this movement there would be no bear and bull you were very lucky to have sold at 2021 at the new ATH. Bitcoin price doesn't really controlled by government but i can partially say it was from recent dust of Luna and FTX, so you are pretty lucky to have it at cheap price again buy and hold.

But if we buy and hold them now, will we have any profit? I mean, luna,Ftx likely to ever be the same again?
I think never. And even if they want to get back to the previous state, it will take them many years. And if you work well in the market without spending time on them, you can get double the profit. So I think it's kind of stupid to keep buying them.

Hey lot of numerous event has occurred to bitcoin previously even before the occurrence of Luna and FTX and yet bitcoin still gain new ATH, perhaps i don't think what just happened would likely hold down the price not to appreciate again. That is why the whales still getting larger and keeps controlling the market because they always utilizes every single opportunities by buying and holds, have it at back of your mind that nothing can ever stagnate or stationed the price of bitcoin at a particular spot, therefore its subjected to changes at any point in time (Increase or decrease).

Are you referring to those 2 dead tokens or bitcoin? If you think it's stupid to buy bitcoin from now on, I can assure you that you will never be able to make a profit in this market. The way to profit from bitcoin is to buy low and sell high, and it was the collapse of Luna and FTX that made bitcoin cheap. For me and many others here see it as an opportunity, a rare opportunity to own bitcoin cheaply.

If you invest in bitcoin and choose not to buy it while it is cheap and wait for bitcoin to be high to buy, then I will be the first to thank you. Because you will become our liquidity pool in the next bull season.

I always feel like fiascos like Terra Luna & now FTX only strengthen the dominance of Bitcoin. You see all these altcoins in market and when the top 3rd coin at the time, LUNA, dropped it showed that no altcoin is permanent. And in FTX's case it simply shows you why it's important to control your private keys and not keep funds on exchanges or custodial wallets.

The reason BTC price has dropped significantly is because it' manipulated by a lot of whales and they find it easy to drop when there's a news like FTX collapse. People will not easily sell their coins to panic unless there is a news supporting the panic which is exactly what these fails like LUNA, FTX, etc do.

Why is bitcoin trading at 2020 prices?
It's all part of the game played by big players with insane amount of funds and ability to switch market however they want. With a single tweet from Musk dogecoin which is a shitcoin was pumped so heavily so you can imagine the big players who have the funds, time & reach to control the market how easily they can turn the tables.

I don't think it has anything to do with the government because I don't think CDBC are just useless since they are technically centralized.

The $65k or whatever the ATH price was, it was just an illusion and BTC was never meant to go that high because it doesn't make sense. It was just a smart move by big players to create FOMO and force buyers into buying BTC over $50k and now creating FUD to force the same buyers to sell for $15k.

Expressing our selves the reasons or while Bitcoin price depreciate in the market, it will be quite wrong from my analysis, but nevertheless, you know before you left cryptocurrency that the market is not stable, so since the market is not stable, theirs every tendency that the price of Bitcoin might go higher or fall beyond expectations, from another way round, the price of Bitcoin can increase through the determination of the demand and the supply, when the demand is greater than the supply it's obvious that the price of Bitcoin will accelerate, but right now the supplies is greater than the demand.

If you are really that experienced enough on how this market behaves then you would eventually be able to notice out those things on how big players or simply those whales are really playing on the field.

This is why its not really that ideal or something good for you to contrary on what they would eventually be doing but this wont really be that easy. This is why always be wise on making a move.

Go with the flow and sell out if you do have the chance or something that you are really in greens.Be wise and be aware on what are the things happening
around.Although not all news and events does make out some impact.

I would never say that it is stupid to buy bitcoin now. Because I know that if you want to make a profit by investing in something, you should always try to buy at a low price and sell at a high price. And I was talking about the luna, since it has come down so much that everyone will want to invest here as well. But like Bitcoin, can it return to its previous state in the future? And if Luna wants to go back to the way it was then I think it will take a lot longer.

Investing in Luna now expecting Luna to return to its former state is nothing but foolish. Because Luna is down a lot now and it's hard to know if it will ever come back up like Bitcoin. Even if it wants to come back, it will take a long time. But I think it will be over before then. And at this time if you invest on Bitcoin then you can get more profit. So like a fool, run after Bitcoin now without putting your invested money behind Luna. And if you wait until the end of the bear market then you can make a lot of profit.

Why would you trust a coin that has ruined the trust of its investors over Bitcoin which is well-established and has shown us great movement for years? The prices might be down right now but it's still worth buying. Bitcoin will always be a good investment despite the market situation. We all know how it could drop down and strike high again in time. There are just many things that affect the market but that doesn't mean that it won't recover again.

Hi all,my friends
I've been away from cryptoworld for 2 years
Welcome back mate, alot is going on out here..

and i want to ask something to the esteemed audience
What the fuck is going on here?
I'm sorry,i don't have any other words
Why is bitcoin trading at 2020 prices?
Several reasons have negatively affected the price of bitcoin such as the Russia-Ukraine war, Supply and demand at play and since price tanked this could be as a result of low crypto demand, exchange hacks have also contributed to the falling prices but with time markets will be bullish again as this happens quite often unfortunately  ::)

because of the government sticking its nose into this market?
Well this is a 50/50 thing as for some countries like El Salvador the governments involvement has contributed positively to the crypto ecosystem while other govts have denied its people the financial freedom they seek... But in due time everyone will get this freedom.

It is obvious the people that are investing in luna even now are just taking an unnecessary risk by doing so, they expect that by investing a few dollars now in luna it recovers and they can become millionaires by risking almost no money at all, and while on the surface this may seem like a good plan this is very unlikely to actually happen, so even if the amount they invested is low they are still wasting their money as they will never obtain the benefits they dream about.

People never ever learn, if they do have those bad experiences on shitty projects which causes for them to experience total disaster then why they are still continuing on making out such risky decisions or trying out

to play with fire? Its never been worth honestly, but people do really keep on engaging even its really just too obvious that it is really just been driven by some hype.
When you do step your foot into this market then you should really be that too mindful about taking up risk and making some rush decisions.

Market is something that you cant be able to predict easily with. You would be needing lots of considerations and other stuffs on making things
to be in controlled somehow.

Some possible reasons:

  • Saturation of bullish market (end of a cycle). We know a positive trend can't last forever, especially when prices are already too high in a short time period. That is what happened in 2021.
  • Scams involving big companies and names of crypto industry. Many investors got scared because even the big companies on this industry aren't able to guarantee safety to customers and their funds. The impunity for scammers is also a big disincentive for investors this time.
  • War. This is a double edge sword point: at same time efforts and expenses with war demand more money, it could be also a powerful booster for bitcoin, because donations can be sent to both sides of the war in cryptocurrency. The adoption and usage could be increasing, consequently impacting the market positively. Moreover, sanctions encourage people using crypto to avoid the prohibitions when transacting to foreigner lands.
  • Interest rates (economical policies). The FED policy caused a lot of damage to crypto market this year. The constant increasement on interest rates by regulators took big players of crypto market to the traditional market in USA and possibly Europe, because interest rates were also raised there.

I never said Luna wouldn't be Purandhan again. If you look closely you will see that I said Luna is now much lower than before and it will have to wait a long time if it wants to get back to where it was before. And if we wait that time by investing in Bitcoin then we can be more profitable to invest in Bitcoin than luna.No one can say with absolute certainty which coin will go up or down. So what has once gone down can certainly rise again but you cannot tell when it will rise.
But no matter how low Bitcoin goes, it's not quite the end. Everyone has faith and trust in it. So if you ever want to invest then investing on Bitcoin is  best way.

All of them are hugely affecting not only crypto but also the economic system of all countries. It is really hard to get away from them and make crypto soar high continuously but surely we can see it dump eventually.
As to consider the current situation, it will take too long to see the market moves upward. The war continues and I can see this is a huge contributing factor to inflation and affects the volume of crypto investors. I'm not sure how far the price will Bitcoin could reach in the next Bullrun, doubted if it will surpass  $100k if all of those things that you have mentioned will continue.

We are in a bear market and apart from that the current downturn is also due to some global factors like inflation which is on the rise so it is natural to see that the bitcoin price is now trading below $20k isn't this also what happened in the past when the bitcoin price managed to reach ATH and after that the market will undergo a correction that will take a little time to recover. I think if you've known bitcoin for a long time then you also know what's going on in the market right now.

We will always have cycles in crypoto where the price would go down and we would not be able to actually see it going up if we just sell it, we need to hold it so we could face the period when it goes up as well. I personally hold it right now as much as I can and I believe that it will keep on going higher and higher, no matter how low it goes, I just tell myself to wait longer and it will get higher.

This is why it's quite important to never lose hope in bitcoin. If you lose your hope, then bitcoin will not care about it, but you will lose when it goes up. I will never lose hope, and I will always trust that it will go up a lot when the time comes.

Trust and patience are the key since we already know that bitcoin has its own comeback, and when it does, I am sure multiple ATHs will again be achieved. Only newbies and the inexperienced are the only ones who lose hope in bitcoin, since others who were already in crypto a couple of years ago are either immune to this, or they just aren't scared of this kind of market since they already know that bitcoin will be up soon. As most other says those who will stay will be getting a  lot of profit those who left will be coming back again to buy bitcoin.

You shouldn't need to be shocked by the state of the market, in my opinion. What caught your eye?
I'm confident that nothing about the current market condition will surprise you if you have held your asset holdings and experience in the crypto market for a long enough time. because, of course, the length of time you spend in the cryptocurrency market gives you experience.
You can find out what happened by following the news on a few social media platforms. Even though you have sold all of your possessions, you still keep track of the social media accounts you follow.
Whatever your motivation for returning to the cryptocurrency market, perhaps this is the ideal time to resume your investment strategy.

Surely this market will surprise him, if he understands how to invest in the market. Because the price of bitcoin is very low in the market now due to which the price of all tokens has decreased. If he understands investing then he will invest this time and wait until it is right. And from this bear market he will have better experience about trade. So it is better to look for the good aspects of this market instead of looking at the bad aspects only.

Nothing happened, it was just a bitcoin bear cycle, crypto winter, and it happened a lot in the past. Without an economic crisis, without war, the market would still enter the bear season, and bitcoin would drop. Even though you've been out of the market for 2 years, but according to your account created in 2013, that means you also went through 2 previous bear seasons, so I think you won't be surprised, unless this account is not yours.

yes, it should be if the OP is someone who has been in the crypto market for quite a while, he wouldn't be surprised to see a bear situation eating up the market. if the OP might want to restart where he left off, I guess this is a good time. buy again and start to focus on a better long-term. he had already enjoyed its advantages in the past. not impossible, now is the right time to repeat success in the future.

Although the FTTX thing has nothing to do with Bitcoin, I think the clearest and simplest explanation is that people sometimes the same investors took advantage of this fall in FTX to short Bitcoin and thus get Bitcoin much cheaper by taking advantage of this bug, it's something that cannot be denied, however people have to learn the lesson that FTX has nothing to do with the Bitcoin market, only that the market should be seen as a jungle where you know how to take advantage of what you have with the possible eventualities of life and what is presented, each one will look for a win-win way, regardless of the fundamental that is presented.
