Title: Black Friday Hardware Wallet Less Known Deals
Post by: dkbit98 on November 24, 2022, 10:29:57 PM
You all probably know current Black Friday deals for Trezor (up to 30%), Keystone (up to 40%), ledger, Satochip, Cypherock X1 (75%) hardware wallets posted in forum, but I am here to show you few more less known deals I noticed for hardware wallets.

First one I saw is nice Black Friday discount for OneKey hardware wallet devices.
I won't talk much about OneKey, but they are biggest hardware wallet manufacturer in China/Hong Kong (I confirmed this from several sources) and their wallets are based on Trezor code.
OneKey Mini price is $58, OneKey Classic is $89, but on Black Friday deal you can buy both of them together in one package for $109.98.
You can also combine hardware wallets with aircraft-grade titanium metal seed backups, that are available in three other packages you can find on their shopping page.
This are some very good deals, but I am still waiting for Wallet Scrutiny to confirm they are actually open source like they say.

BitBox hardware wallet is offering 10% off everything plus 21% discount on our special Black Friday bundle, that includes Steelwallet, Backup cards and Tamper-evident security bags.

CoolWallet is offering big discounts (up to 100%) if you have enough collected diamonds in your CoinMarketCap account.
Standard Black Friday discount for CoolWallet devices is 15% this year, so CoolWallet S is around $84 and CoolWallet Pro is around $126 USD.

ColdCard Black Friday Sale is offeringf up to 25% off most products using promo CKBTC, ColdCard Mk4 is now $118.35.

HyperMate is offering 30% discount for their hardware wallets models G and Pro.

There isn't a dedicated thread for the Black Friday deal offered by Foundation Devices for the Passport Batch 2, and since I don't want to hijack n0nce's review threads this one will do just fine. I have to say that Foundation has the worst deal among all the hardware wallet brands so far. They aren't offering any discounts on their Batch 2 device, which is priced at $259, but an automatic coupon is added to your shopping cart giving you a free t-shirt, which they call a limited edition. According to them, it's valued $39 and with a purchase of a Passport HW, you get it for free.

They could have certainly done better than an overpriced black t-shirt with an orange phone on the front.

I completely forgot such a thing existed [SMH].

Blockstream is also offering a 10% discount code [BLOCKSTREAM2022] and it increases up to 20% if you "pay with @Liquid_BTC USDt (https://twitter.com/Blockstream/status/1596174472465518594)".
- While I was scrolling through the comments, I noticed BUILT IN VAIN (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5412149.0) is offering a "25% discount (https://twitter.com/builtinvain/status/1596222228357853185)" on its wallet mods.

Yeah they are, but let me give you one insider tip for Jade wallet, you can buy almost identical device for much less money if you buy directly ESP32 devices they are based on.
Extra benefit is that you won't get tagged by anyone for purchasing a hardware wallet, and you could also find Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals for this devices.
One that is very similar is M5StickV (https://shop.m5stack.com/products/stickv) and they are currently offering up to 50% discount for two more days.
I am sure there are other models that could be found even cheaper on other websites, you just need to do some digging.

PS
I probably missed few more deals like for Safepal wallet and others, but my intention was never to list every existing BF deals for hardware wallets.

Keystone decided to prolong their Black Friday discounts with new type of promotions offering 32% discount to first 40 customers who enter special codes.
They posted this on twitter, first it was code opensource, than they added microsd, and now they have code random.
Keystone website is also offering 30% storewide discount for two more days, but I don't think this two discounts can be combined.
If you wanted to buy open source wallet, Keystone could be a good choice with this discount codes, so try if they are working for you.
With this discounts Keystone Pro version is $114.92 + shipping, and Keystone Essential is $80.92.

Black Friday started early for hardware wallets this year.
First Keystone announced discount and it is still available for Keystone 3 Pro version, discount is 30% and price is $90 plus shipping.

CoolWallet announced big discounts for all wallets, so CoolWallet Pro is now USD $69.90, and CoolWallet S can be purchased for USD $59.00.

We already know that Trezor announced biggest sale ever and that should start in few days.

I think Keystone's products look very attractive, but the numbers of reviews and Google Play downloads are too small.
Bitbox02 is good too, but it also faces the problem of too few users.

I wish all open-source altcoin hardware wallets, include trezor, bitbox, onekey, and keystone, can receive more attentions and have more users. Then I will have more choices.

Unfortunately, the discount amount for this Black Friday has not yet been published on their website. Are they deliberately stirring up excitement? It looks like marketers from Ledger have moved in with them. :)

I predict very big discounts on Model One. Trezor will try to get rid of this as an outdated model after the updated version (Safe 3) is released.

By the way, everyone’s favorite closest competitor (Ledger) has not yet announced anything like this. They usually did discounts at the end of November too. How many of you are willing to buy their products on the cheap? ;) And with a very big discount?

If these upcoming Black Friday deals had the same impact on the product listings of their official resellers [e.g. ≥ 70%], I would've ordered one as a collectible item but we all know that the odds of that happening are quite low ;)

I wouldn't buy a Ledger, nor would I recommend one, even if the price dropped all the way down to $0.01

Ledger's key extraction firmware is a catastrophe waiting to happen.  I doubt it'll happen anytime soon, but that's actually worse because people will become complacent and start foolishly thinking having code on their hardware to suck out their keys over the internet is fine.

Ledger is evil.  There is absolutely nothing they can do to ever regain my trust or respect.

Hello everyone,

Do you know if there would be any bundle deals for Onekey because as I can see they will give a 20% discount for all devices. But I hope something will appear at 20th of November. Because previous year they gave a cool bundle deals for their devices.  ;D

I said about this already, but I don't consider Trezor black friday discount to be less known ;)

Let me add that Satochip will offer -20% discount during the Black Friday and -10% during the Cyber Monday.
Promo code should be received on Satochip newsletter and their Telegram.
Satochip recently added support for new wallets, and I think they are worth checking out.

Another BF deal I saw is for OneKey hardware wallets.
They are offering 20% discount for Black Friday and Cyber Monday from November 20 to November 27.

Ellipal kick-started their Black Friday deals yesterday and they're offering "up to 25% discount (https://www.ellipal.com/collections/all-product)" on their hardware wallets [for accessories it's up to 50%].
- BTW, I was expecting Cypherock to offer another huge drop for this year, but it's 20% only (last year it was 75%) and it's "valid till Dec 25 (https://www.cypherock.com/product/cypherock-x1/)".

Actually they did.
But the offer is not great and imho it's no longer worth it in 2023 to buy Ledger, so I won't even bother sharing the details.

Trezor just released their Black Friday offers for this year, and they are offering old models Trezor One for $48 (instead of $69), and Trezor Model T for $153 (instead of regular $219).
They are also offering accessories and bundles starting from $26, but sadly there is no Trezor 3 Safe wallet anywhere in this offer, and it has the same price of $79 :P
I dont know if it's just me, but their website have some problems right now and it's not working very well, maybe to much people visiting is breaking it.

I expected at least tiny discount for Trezor 3 Safe, but since there is none I am skipping this deal from trezor.
And they really need to upgrade their servers, this looks embarrassing  ::)

No wonder. Why make a discount on the new Trezor hardware wallet, which is already in high demand (due to the recent announcement).

I dont know if it's just me, but their website have some problems right now and it's not working very well, maybe to much people visiting is breaking it.
I had to wait a full 1 minute to get to their website. :) It seems that you are right that their site has experienced a large influx of visitors and buyers of discounted devices.

You will probably have to wait until the next Black Friday for a discount on Trezor 3 Safe, not earlier.

Trezor's website (at "Resellers") just shows that Best Buy in the USA is now an authorized reseller of the Model 1 and the Model T, the latter's price at Bust Buy is $153 and change, so it looks like they are a participant in the Black Friday sale as well.  But, not the new Trezor 3 Safe.

bestbuy.com (http://bestbuy.com)  (search for Trezor)

Best Buy appears not to have them in stock right now, but the two stores I "visited" on the web showed delivery/pickup at the store for Nov 25, and it looks like you can order now.  The Model 1 is also available, and it is priced lower than the Ledger Nano S+ (which already IS in stock at Best Buy, I have seen them there -- in the showcases where they sell memory chips).

With luck Trezors will soon become regular stock items at Best Buy (as is the Ledger Nano S+ currently is).  You can pay by cash or card at Best Buy.

For me it's always better to buy wallet directly with cash, without leaving any personal information and shipping details, so this is good news.
I think Trezor recently added French translation on Trezor Suite, so they are planning to replace ledger everywhere ;)
It's a shame that Trezor don't care at all about Bitcointalk forum, big negative points from me  :P

BitBox is offering 21% Black Friday discount for all their products and BitBox02 is now €125 instead of regular price of €139 (you can get both multi-coin and bitcoin only edition).
Black Friday Bundle is now €190, and it includes BitBox02 hardware wallet, Steelwallet backup, 3x Backup cards, and 5x Tamper-evident bags.

If you want the Keystone and are US based it's the same price at Amazon as it is on their website:

https://www.amazon.com/Keystone-Cryptocurrency-Hardware-air-gapped-securely/dp/B0CCRP4Z59

Keep in mind Keystone does (or at least did) use Amazon for fulfillment here in the US so even if you do order from them directly, you still get it delivered from Amazon.

Probably, right now  the best way to find such code is to  watch closely for the price-cutting among  all official resellers (https://foundationdevices.com/resellers/).

After all, the season of Christmas sales is coming.

I bought Passport 2 at old price and never regret about my purchase, The quality of wallet deserves it.

I could only find a single working code at the moment, but it doesn't impact the price of the device in question [unfortunately]:

Code:
SIMPLY
- By using the above code, you'll get an IVPN voucher for 3 months [worth $18].

Do you have any idea what happened to their ambassador program that allowed their users to create $10 coupon code discounts?

How to receive a gift?
"The physical gift card will be delivered along with your Ledger device. The card will be inside an envelope. Gently scratch the gray area of the card to reveal the code.

Note: The card also contains a QR code that takes you to the step-by-step instructions for claiming your BTC."

What are the nuances of receiving a gift?
"To claim your reward, you first need to create a Refer a friend account:

Open the Ledger Live app.

Navigate to the Discover section.

Select Refer a friend app.

After you create your account, you'll be able to access the dashboard and claim your BTC. You can find detailed instructions for creating the account here → How to join the Refer a friend."

How quickly is the gift delivered?
"You can claim your BTC after 30 days—during this time, you'll see the status of your balance as Pending."

The text in italics and quotation marks is taken from the offers page on the Ledger’s website (https://shop.ledger.com/pages/black-friday#offers).

And I already thought that they wouldn’t make any discounts this year.
Ledger, as always, managed to distinguish itself. If all other HW manufacturers simply offer impressive Black Friday discounts on their products, then Ledger demands in return the distribution of its tentacles using a referral program, as if an octopus wants to launch its tentacles into the pockets of not only its customers, but also their's friends and relatives.

Just now I saw that arrival of Trezor Model T and Model 1 are now scheduled on Dec 2 at Best Buy, at least the nearest store to me.  Since that may be beyond the Black Friday sales timeframe, I don't know if the attractive $153 price will still be valid.

I think they have 3% discount for paying with Bitcoin, at least that is what it used to be last time I checked.
That is not a huge discount by all means, but it is something, and I think this is not a bad price overall, compared with all other hardware wallets.
Note that you can try their ENvoy beta app right now, and maybe you win 10k Sats for providing a feedback.

As dkbit98 wrote last page, it will be an excellent thing to have the option to buy hardware wallets for cash.
I hope this means ALL BestBuy shops in the world, not just ones located in US ;)

Black Friday is tomorrow but we already have discounts available for many hardware wallets.
I am not a fan of Ellipal wallet, but they offer airgapped devices and up to 50% discounts for this year Black Friday or $20 off for Ellipal Titan 2.0 with code Titan20.
Ellipal Titan Mini Cold wallet is now $79 with discount, Mini Duo pack is $149, and you can find other combinations on their website ellipal.com.

I already mentioned their BF deals "last week (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5423037.msg63180418#msg63180418)" :P
- BTW, I think it'd be better if the opening post was also updated.

D'CENT is offering up to "40% in discounts (https://twitter.com/DCENTWALLETS/status/1727485080720093656)", while both KeepKey (https://twitter.com/KeepKeyDevs/status/1726622846686802207) and Jade (https://twitter.com/Blockstream/status/1727096710026207722) are offering 10% discounts.
- Arculus also has a BF deal, but I don't want to use their links in my posts!

I do know we're supposed to mention the lesser-known deals, but the following two deserve some attention as well:

  • COLDCARD is offering up to "25% in discounts (https://twitter.com/COLDCARDwallet/status/1727349017615675883) [no deal for Q1 or rather Q]"
  • Starting tomorrow, there'll be up to "50% discount (https://twitter.com/iSafePal/status/1727658261954920959)" for the X1 model of SafePal, but there's a catch:

Foundation has decided to create a similar offer like Ledger. If you buy a Foundation Passport hardware wallet, you also receive a C$10 bitcoin voucher.
There is also a chance to win a free Passport wallet by commenting on and retweeting the Black Friday tweet on Twitter. This one: https://twitter.com/FOUNDATIONdvcs/status/1728043339247681650.

On top of those $20 and $30 bitcoin vouchers, they are now also offering the Cryptotag Zeus titanium seed plate for $99 instead of $139.

It's no longer a Black Friday deal, but not sure where to mention it so this will do.

Ledger has a 20% discount on their hardware wallets, but only in Ruby Red. The offer is valid until stocks last.
https://shop.ledger.com/pages/holiday-offer-ruby-red

The Ledger Nano S Plus is now €63.20 instead of €79.
The Ledger Nano X costs €119.20 instead of €149.
If purchased together, you'll have to pay €182.40 instead of €228.

As a remainder, Ledger is far away from a recommended hardware wallet right now.

Best Buy (USA & Canada) now show arrival/pickup (at their stores) date of Trezor Model T on Dec 13.  This date keeps being pushed back, I would not be surprised to see it unavailable before Christmas.

Also, the Black Friday price is no longer in effect, price is now the usual $219.

Trezor has announced a new end-of-the-year discount for their models Trezor One and Trezor Model T.
Trezor One is now available for €59. Trezor Model T costs €179. There is no discount for the Trezor Safe 3, which remains priced at €79.
The free worldwide discount still remains.

Trezor has announced a new end-of-the-year discount for their models Trezor One and Trezor Model 3.
There is no discount for Trezor Model 3 right now, except for free shipping, so I think you made a mistake here, it's for Trezor Model T.
€179 for Model T is better price for sure, but I don't see any reason to buy that when Model 3 is much cheaper and it is better protected with secure element.
Trezor One is now one of the cheapest hardware wallets available, but I think it will be discontinued very soon, so I wouldn't waste money on that.

Yes, you are right. Thanks for keeping your eyes open. I wanted to write Model T but ended up writing Model 3 instead. That's not even an existing model of theirs. I have edited the previous post now. The discount is, obviously, for Model T, which usually costs over €220 and is now available for €179.

It's a good time to bump this thread with a few new deals for Black Friday.
I will only mention discounts for hardware wallets and their official stores. You can also find cheaper prices for accessories, backup tools, etc.

Trezor

Trezor Safe 3: €79 €55.30

Finally Trezor is not joking with discounts only for their accessories, they actually have decent discounts for hardware wallets these time.
Buying bundles from Trezor is giving bigger discount for this Black Friday, that might be a good idea if you are planning to buy metal backup for your seed words.
They even released dedicated page with savings ''calculator''
https://content.trezor.io/saving-in-bitcoin-your-best-blackfriday-deal-yet

PS
I wouldn't waste money on Trezor One, even with this low price.

Trezor

At this price levels they may convince me get back to the cozy easy-to-use HW instead of custom solutions (after the disappointment with Ledger).
For now I'm eyeing Trezor Safe 3 and, important, I've noticed one detail that can be important:

Our Black Friday Deals
Offers end 5th of December.

So while indeed Trezor offers look great this year, there's still time to see for other offers to come.

Ledger...
There's also one for their Ledger Flex, but in the form of a voucher [$70 (https://shop.ledger.com/#category-cryptocurrency-wallets)] so the redemption process probably will not be that smooth.

I wouldn't waste money on Trezor One, even with this low price.
Same here, but how about their Model T? Despite not having a secure element, the 40% discount is very tempting.

Few other deals:

- 15% off on OneKey wallets [use code: BFCM-2024 (https://x.com/OneKeyHQ/status/1858936247215071478)]
- Up to 50% off for SecuX wallets [starting on Nov 25 (https://x.com/SecuXwallet/status/1859967573380530643)]
- $20 to $70 off (https://www.ellipal.com/collections/all-product) for ELLIPAL wallets
- 34% off (https://x.com/BitkeyOfficial/status/1859743286161965475) for Bitkey [note for newcomers: This isn't a proper HW!]

@NeuroticFish
And I am sure that not much time will pass before Christmas and New Year promotions will begin, so there will be plenty of opportunities to buy a new device for those who want one.

@SFR10
I didn't consider those offers with vouchers. You will have to buy the device at full-price to get a type of cashback in bitcoin.

There are also discounts on ColdCard wallets for Black Friday.

ColdCard MK4 - $126.35
ColdCard Q - $175.99

This Black Friday promotion by Coinkite and Coldcard will be valid until 2 December. It's a 20% discount on both hardware wallets.
The general feeling is that most companies have created good deals for new customers. There is no chip shortage any longer, which was the case a few years ago during the pandemic. That gives them some extra wriggle room to cut their profits a bit and still operate positively.

To get a free keychain, you would have to make a purchase of at least €85. It's not available on all purchases. As Satochip explains on their website, the 15% discount also excludes bundle packs and other already discounted products.

Blockstream also has a Black Friday event for their Jade hardware wallet (https://store.blockstream.com/products/blockstream-jade-hardware-wallet). You will have to buy two Jade's to get the second one for 50% off. The deal also includes free shipping in North America and Europe.

It's not the best deal because you would have to buy two devices to take advantage of the discount. It would work though if you could find another person who would be interested in a Jade. It also seems to me that Jade's price has increased. I am not sure when and does it have anything to do with this Black Friday promotion. ::)

The price now is €76,95, which means the second device will cost you €38.47.

Hmmm they increased price since I checked their website last time, but it's not bad if two crypto buddies want to split the cost for ordering two devices.
That ends up around €60 for one Jade wallet... I think there are better Black Friday deals available for other manufacturers.

BitBox also has a Black Friday promo that will last until Monday. You can buy the BitBox02 at 21% off the regular price. This offer is valid both for the bitcoin-only and the multi edition.

I have to throw a jab at Foundation now. They aren't giving any discounts for their Passports. Instead, you get a $20 gift card you can use for a future purchase. In other words, you have to buy a Passport hardware wallet at full price to receive the $20 gift card and get a discount on your next purchase from their online shop. This deal is also valid until Monday, 2 December.

Given that their production model is different from others (limited number of devices) and that they are among the most expensive (perhaps there are more expensive ones?), it is not too strange to me that (so far) there is nothing similar to what other manufacturers of similar devices offer. In addition, for those of us who are outside the US, the official manufacturer's discount may not make any difference to the price we need to pay to authorized resellers, given that they have already bought the goods and paid the customs duties, which in the end raises the price of the device to around 250 EUR.

However, there is a 5% discount on this link (https://thebitcoinhole.com/hardware-wallets/passport-batch-2), which can only be useful to those who are in the US.

Early Black Friday already started on Trezor website and they are offering up to 40% discounts!
Trezor Safe 3 is now $47, Trezor Safe 5 is $101, and Trezor Safe 7 is currently unavailable, but they are still giving free charger.
Bundle packages also have 40% discount or you can purchase only metal backup or accesories for lower price.

$47 for Safe 3 is a good deal
It's practically the same price as Trezor One
I have Safe 3 and I'm satisfied

Several companies are already announcing their supposed Black Friday prices
For those who already need a hardwallet, I think it's a good time to buy

However, I suspect that on Black Friday itself we may see even better prices

If you have the time a new thread called Black Friday 2025 would probably be better. Keeping it in one called Black Friday Hardware Wallet Less Known Deals might cause some people to miss it.

I would help but with my work schedule at the moment there is just about 0 I could do till after black Friday.

There is another interesting BlackFriday deal for ERA hardware wallet.
They are offering limited 20% off and you can spin the Wheel of Fortune for additional discount, and both of them can be applied!
For entering Spin you need to enter your email address, and you can get secret gifts or up to 20% off.
This can reduce price below $180 (down to $144 with 20% on spin), and that is a good deal for Era airgapped device with three backup cards.

Aw man, I wish I could purchase directly from their main site, sadly, Trezor doesn't ship directly to PH.
Reseller's price is a bit too much and doesn't really feel like a 40% discount. Their normal price for Trezor Safe 3 is roughly $115 (for a $1:59PHP conversion), and the discounted price? still $89  ::)
I guess it's just a 23% Black Friday sale.  :D

Trezor has a "small" problem with resellers: the list of countries for direct delivery from the manufacturer is limited, there aren't many resellers, and their prices are inflated. I think Trezor should expand the number of countries it ships to, which would increase its profits (and buyers would receive the device directly at a reasonable price), rather than relying on intermediaries.

Even the crappy Ledger has a much longer shipping list than Trezor. This company should be ashamed of itself. :)

Out of stock?

Have most of the hardware wallets already sold out? In just a couple of days? But maybe. Or is this the work of resellers buying in bulk at a reduced price (Black Friday discount)? The manufacturer would surely have prepared for this promotion and had a larger stock available for sale.

As a result, ordinary buyers lose the opportunity to purchase devices at discounted prices.

julerz12 I don't know how Amazon works in the Philippines, but here in Brazil, Amazon sells various items imported directly from Amazon US sellers, and Trezor is one of those sellers
When there's a sale, even with import taxes, it can end up being worth it
It's worth checking out

At the normal price, it is usually worth buying from an authorized reseller here, but when there are discounts, they usually offer the discount on Amazon as well
It is important to check that it is Trezor itself on Amazon; never buy from third parties  ;)

I've checked the official resellers' list, and Amazon Philippines isn't included on it.
I've tried on Amazon Singapore (since it's relatively close to us), no luck, they aren't selling one. The only ones available on Amazon SG are just a bunch of silicone covers for Trezor.  :D
I see a $47 Trezor Safe 3 on Amazon US, but it's hidden behind a Prime subscription. You can't even purchase one unless you become their "Prime Member". Geez, these resellers.

If you're buying from an official reseller with a brick-and-mortar store, the premium prices they charge are actually worth it, as it also saves you from potential future data leaks.

When I see a manufacturer willing to sell at a 40% discount, even for a short period during a sale, I wonder if the company is clearly not selling at a loss. This means the regular daily price is quite inflated (I don't think it's 40%, and probably less).

It turns out that those who need a hardware wallet right now (when there are no promotions) are significantly overpaying for the price and are better off buying HW in advance during sales (it's more profitable in the long run).

The Trezor Safe 3 is currently $47 - it seems ridiculously expensive, practically a bargain. I'd gladly have ordered it already, but unfortunately, Trezor doesn't ship to my region (while, surprisingly, Ledger does. Is Trezor really ready to give up its sales markets?) I've been eyeing this device for a while now, but due to delivery difficulties I've had to put it off.

I'm pretty sure their profit margin is high enough to still make a profit during the sales. I expect the production cost of additional units to be quite low.
This is what they offer in Europe: the $47 turns into €47 (+15%). The profit margin on additional items is probably even higher: a "Bumper" sells for €10 but will cost only cents to produce. A "Universal Case" sells for €39, and if I compare phone cases sold by Ali, I don't expect it to cost more than $2 to produce. A piece of metal to store seed words: €69.
That's okay of course, it's a free market, but I'd rather buy a spare device than a "case" if the price is almost the same.

I'd only have one reason to buy a new hardware wallet: the Safe 3 shows entire Bitcoin addresses on it's screen, and the font is very small. I can't really see the difference between a "u" and a "v" and more characters. Searching online doesn't really help to find how a Safe 5 shows Bitcoin addresses on it's screen, the Youtube comparisons don't even show this.
I don't need a touch screen, I just want to be able to read every character without doubt. Ledger worked fine, scrolling the address in 3 steps, but Ledger fucked up the basics and have disqualified themselves.
If someone can take a picture of the Safe 5 showing a Bitcoin address, you'll make my day :)
