The only advise I can think of right now is that exchanges should be treated as "an exchange" not "a wallet". So as not to make the mistake that alot of centralized exchange user made in 2022 that made them loss a lot of the money.
Remember: Not your key, Not your coin

- Never put all your eggs in one basket.

Whether a token/coin you are trading is new or old, always diversify your portfolio. Anything could happen at anytime in crypto, and it has been proved a couple of times this year with Terra collapsing first, and then FTX hitting a tragic end. So, always trade with only a fraction of your capital, no matter what you are trading.

Strong hands guys. Who the hell knows how long will this bitcoin winter last. That's one thing to remember for 2023.  :)

More:
  • Do some DCA, if you have some good stash left. It's better to save in bitcoin in the end.
  • Don't try to make profit with trading and / or anything else related to cryptocurrencies. You're most likely going to lose.
  • Visit your relatives and friends. We don't have pandemic anymore.
  • Be better at your job.

Happy holidays.

Because of the risk involved, you should learn more before investing in cryptocurrency.

Furthermore, keep in mind all the damage Altcoins have caused the Bitcoin market this year, so avoid keeping your coin in exchange and trust no exchange, and always keep your coin in your personal wallet.

I will also put it in this way that we should all think about all the good and numerous achievements we've got throughout the year and archive them to always be in our remembrance and learn to forget every ugly mistakes that has cost us in the past in other to forge ahead, it may be the mistakes in handling our keys, the type of wallet used, investing on shitcoins or projects, wrong speculation, misuse of buying opportunity, wrong trading pattern and so on, we must ensure that those calamity does not befall us the second time in this coming year 2023.

Don't be too hyperactive filling up forms for airdrops and free stuff. The biggest tendency that you may be compromised will start through this activity.
You'll be surprised that you've been receiving unsolicited and spam emails is due to your signing on those online forms of free money/airdrops.
And the chain goes on, so going from the root, avoid doing this if you want to at least lessen those spam and potential hacking links from your email.

Sounds like good advice to follow in 2023 and beyond! Here are a few more suggestions for things to remember and avoid:

- Always keep your crypto assets secure. The best way is to keep them in a hardware wallet or an offline wallet. Never leave your crypto on an exchange.
- Don't fall for phishing attacks or scams on social media or email.
- Be careful with what information you share online. While it might seem harmless now, it could come back to haunt you later.
- Always do your own research before investing in anything new or unfamiliar.
- Don't be greedy.
- Don't fall for pump and dumps. You should never invest in something that promises a quick return on your investment.

Wishing you all a happy and successful crypto journey in 2023!

  • Follow someone who have experience and has best result, but also look at those who make mistakes because we can learn a lot from them

  • Do not follow anyone sheepishly because they are successful or experienced in the cryptocurrencyindustry. Learn from them and try and do your own research  and be responsible for your successes or failures
  • It is fine to remove your mind from bull run in 2023 as it could be worse than 2022. So next year is still an accumulation year.

This year many things occured in the crypto that must be a great lesson and good experience for all investors and trader. The bear market became so obvious this year. Many people thought it will be something that will last for few month but the prediction was not certain. The market this year should teach us not not to predict the market and think the market will just be the way it has been predict,  some people bought bitcoin  thinking the bull market will come in a short time. Before buying Bitcoin we should be ready to hodl bitcoin till the market becomes profitable and not to be in a haste to make profit. Have the mindset that the Market is unpredictable,  the bull Market might not come the way we predict it in our own understanding.

Fun fact.  If you check the history of Bitcoin, 2023 should be a really bad year.  2013 was great.  2014, 2015, 2016 were not really.  2017 was great.  2018, 2019, 2020 not really.  2021 was great.  2022 was not.  2023 and 2024 should theoretically be bad years too.

Not saying this WILL happen.  Just thought it was a fun thing to think about.

This year has been a very eventful one for me in the bitcoin space. One of my greatest achievements this year is joining bitcointalk because this forum has changed my life educationally, emotionally, and economically. Among others, I have learned the following:

1. Beware of fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) because they can lead to irrational decisions

2. Exchanges can never be trusted and you don't own the funds you keep with them

3. Hodl as much as you can because there is light at the end of the tunnel

4. Keep promoting bitcoin and P2P transactions in your area.

From the several points that you have stated, they are actually very good and also complete, so there is no more addition from me except just about not panicking too much and believing in news whose truth is still very doubtful. Hopefully in 2023 more positive things can happen in the crypto space which can make the market better

Congratulations on a better new year and hope for more surprises to come in the next year considering all the points you suggested, because I think these points are indeed worth considering from tomorrow onwards as long as we are still in the crypto space.

Actually it's really a good idiom for investment advice, but you're explain it in a terrible way.

If you think diversified coins will prevent from huge losses, then you're wrong because most of coins are following Bitcoin price, which mean if you hold ETH, BNB, XRP, etc etc it will either be same like BTC movement or worse than BTC.

If you're want to invest in crypto, just choose Bitcoin and avoid the rest. If you want to diversify your portfolio, you can choose other assets e.g. gold, real estate, stock etc.

Trading needs caution even if you are a professional trader, now that the market in bearish its more harder to trade, for my I will start away from trading right now until good trend returns to crypto market.

Altcoins can still dip 50% more before things start balancing out, this has been altcoins way since 2018, if you want altcoins make sure you choose the best and gamble with few low-cap gems, the future is too uncertain.

Another opportunity for us to make resolutions for the new year. I already know everything on the list. However, the only thing I need to focus on changing next year is not to be tempted by bitcoin-alternative coins. I'm not completely avoiding investing in altcoins, but I should set some limitations. Perhaps under $1,000 per enticing altcoin. I suppose that being a casino gambler influenced my willingness to take risks with altcoins.

Volatility, whether with Bitcoin or apart from it, is not a problem at all as it is a part of trading and there is no gain if there is no volatility. The real problem is when a coin reaches a dead-end and almost never gets back to the position where it once was (I gave a couple of examples above). So basically, my advice was not to put all your capital in one coin/token so that even if one of those you're invested in ends badly, you will still not lose all your capital. Bitcoin as we all know is the king of cryptocurrencies, so there is no doubt that it is the first and foremost option if you are getting into crypto, but there is a whole different world apart from it which is also worth trying.

  • Avoid clicking unknown emails advertising coin and rewards

This does not only apply to links in e-mails, but also to any suspicious link shared via social networks, whether it is a link posted publicly or sent to you privately. In addition, e-mail for private, business, and entertainment should be separate and each protected with a unique and strong password.

  • Don't invest in shitcoins with false hope

Even better, why not invest in such things at all, because we all know that 99% of such projects have no purpose or meaning. By investing in them, we only fill the pockets of their owners, who will dump their coins at the first opportunity and start over with some new project.

feel free to add your suggestions to help our new members who are still newbies in crypto

Cryptocurrencies are not magical internet money that will make you rich overnight, and everything you hear and see from various "experts" and influencers is nothing more than a smoke screen that tries to keep you away from the real truth. 95% of those who trade with cryptocurrencies end up losing money, 99% of all crypto projects are scams, and if someone doesn't understand after this, then they are really in big trouble.

  • Never buy at a high price
  • know when to stay away from trading
  • Having a working plan for both portfolio and trading
  • Never invest in a project because someone recommended them remember to do your own research
2023 will be another year in the Crypto world and a year to be smarter and wiser with investment. If as a newbie investment still look strange stick to Bitcoin until enough knowledge is gathered to face the risk in the market

Learn from past mistakes
Like from those hypes that has been made in the market that had made a lot of folks turn into FOMO.

That's not really a good feeling when you're on this aggressive market. You react just like the crowd, only a less chance that you'll be profiting unless you really are good at it.

The more chance that you'll lose is there and that can't be denied. One more thing, after learning, apply the lessons that you've learned.

We can give hundreds of tips but it will be a dead letter unless it is implemented realistically. Words are easy, but actions are harder.
For example, it is easy to say, follow an experienced person, but what do you mean by experience?
Most of us tend to believe in food on social media, and therefore it is easy to influence us if we decide to follow a trader with me.

My one and only advice and things to remember come 2023 is to have faith in Bitcoin and the blockchain and remember as of this point in time Bitcoin Bitcoin has died 467 times (https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/) but still manage to get up and continue to progress in terms of adoption and advancement.
So all the FUDS that you will encounter this 2023 will all be recorded and become a memory after a few months.

My advise as tips to remember come 2023 is this;
Trust your instincts more than you trust another man.
It is always better to stick to what you know, if you want to improve, do so without making noise about it.
When it comes to investing, always do it first, before any other expenses is made.
Investment in bitcoin is better than trying out new shit coins.

These and some more make up things to remember for the year 2023. Compliments of the season all.

What should be adhered to and always remembered is that we should never be sure that we know everything. No matter how old we are, we must never stop learning. Monitoring all relevant news to our activities and determining the truth and falsehood from all information will bear fruit and build our experience. Maybe, in 2023, there will be new things and discoveries that we might not have guessed about before. Let's always be "sober" so we don't fall for any new scam that's being widely advertised somewhere on social media. Because it is extremely dangerous to trust someone on social media. But that's where so many gullible people hang out these days.

The fact that people are developers or intelligent in Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies doesn't mean they can never fall prey for those scammers out there, the advice here is that everyone should be updated on his/her security tips and measures.

Avoid the Usage of exchange ones again, it can be used for buying and selling bitcoin but no sane person in the right senses would do that after the recent FTX happenings.

If you are depressed go see your love one's and talk to people who care. The rate of internet fraud or bitcoin fraud cannot lead to it's downfall. They are some I find one should remember.

Patience should be a habit investors and trader must learn how to practice at all time , no one knows how the market will be in the future.  But however the market becomes in the  future,  with patients   it is possible to overcome fears of the market to not be panic but still hodling.  In times past so many traders and investors loose focus because of fear of the market.  Patients is the power of every investors in crypto, patients is the reason why one is able to hodl bitcoin.

On the very point, I will like make some comment that no need to study any other coin whatsoever, since altcoins are always known to disappoint due to it's high rate of volatility in long term. So my suggestion in 2023 will be for you to just jump into investing in Bitcoin (the mother of all cryptocurrencies), while storing it in a cold wallet for security, as Bitcoin have always proven to be the best coin when it comes to long term investment.

Yes patients is a virtual and important to adopt for the year because some people may think that they didn't achieve their purpose for last year and want to do sorts of illegal business to meet up but this is not the way so that to avoid getting into trouble with government or other people. We need to take precautions on certain things we want to do this year, no haste in life, take your time and move in the paste you can and have strength.

Don't forget to blacklist those people who got opportunity during the bull market pumps in some projects and claim to be an experts, those people are lucky enough to take the smart money inflow and get out on time but they don't know much in depth of the market. The real successful OG are the guys that make a lot of money during the bull market and the guys who stay behind to stack up some coins again during the bear market over and over again, they have the best experience to learn crypto and it's characteristics.

  • Avoid clicking unknown emails advertising coin and rewards
This always happens every year but people are still making some mistakes by clicking them and ending as phishing sites that will influence the loss of your assets.

  • if you are not good in trading always trade with caution
I think that we are better off if we don't trade if we are not good at trading. We can start by learning first and preparing ourselves to understand more about trading. Then leaning by doing for trading with small amount nad greater by experiences and skills.

The only thing and advise I see people given here is that you should only invest in bitcoin as every other coin are regarded as altcoin. Build your knowledge of the bitcoin before one jump into it and starts investing.
