Title: Monetary incentive for publication in the ANN.
Post by: airfinex on January 01, 2023, 10:10:48 PM
Isn't it forbidden? Can someone clarify this?

I think this is a veiled call that should be banned as the thread will be filled with non-organic posts.

More particularly, this rule only rules on Alternate cryptocurrencies[1] board and its sub boards not on gambling related boards. Although maybe @theymos and global mods (@hilariousandco) can enlighten us about this as well.
Also here are one of the cons breaking the rules.
That is very much not allowed (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=434310.0). The threads are trashed, the poster is banned for 60 days, everyone who participated is banned for 3 days, and everyone who participated cannot display a signature for 30 days.

I've always thought that posters should consider posting in a company's announcement thread or topic but knew that managers could not pay them for doing so or ask them to do so.

Well put. I'll message the manager to make sure they see this topic.

Thanks Yahoo for informing me. I will update the rule since it looks like a kind of paid to post rule. Really did not paid much thought in it.

Cheers,

I agree.

Good participants should do research about the company, the platform they are hired in campaigns in order to understand about the platform and its products. At the end, with basic understanding, they will be able to
  • Know that company is legit or scam
  • Support the company with their proactive creative idea to improve platform, products; make proposals; and inform the team about bugs, typoes they find

These things should be done naturally to increase probability of success for the campaign and the business. It would be better for all related sides: company, campaign manager and campaign participants.

Matured participants should do it naturally.

Also, i think the campaign managers can encourage people to write feedback (good or bad) on the site in their ANN threads though they should not provide extra incentives for it.
Also, there should be no complusion on writing only good about the company. Positive criticism should always be welcome and it is in fact good for the company/site.

Finally, the rules are updated by the Manager  :)
