Title: Giving customized Bitcoin-themed Gifts to my clients
Post by: SatoPrincess on January 04, 2023, 08:58:54 PM
I listened a tape by some business mentor sometime last year, he said it’s always better to tip before the service so you get a faster, better service. Generally most people tip at the end of the service. Those words stayed with me. It’s a new year, while most of the businesses usually give gifts at the end of the year. I thought it would be cool to start the new year bearing gifts. As I recently started accepting bitcoin payments, I figured it would be cool to customize to give them a constant reminder of bitcoin. I bought 50
water bottles, had my business name printed on one side and on the other side a customize “hodl” with bitcoin logo. I do this with hope that this gesture will fast track the bitcoin experience for them and also create value for my business.

This is excellent. I remember reading your previous post about accepting bitcoin as payment for the services you render and also giving discounts to clients who make payment in bitcoin. How is it going? This is a good initiative too and I am happy that you followed the counsel of your business mentor. I would suggest here that you give these gifts only to clients who make payments in bitcoin. You may choose to add a little note about bitcoin to it too.

I wonder which tape you listened to. Some oldschool Brian Tracy by chance?

Anyway I like your approach and the idea to "tip before" is something I will keep in mind, it really resonates with me for quite a few (business) occations.
Also kinda curious to see how people react if you actually try that in a restaurant. haha

This is fantastic; any publicity for bitcoin in order for it to be adopted and used by a large number of people is always a good thing. You did a good job printing a bitcoin logo on the water bottle. I hope it serves its purpose and achieves its goal.

Great you did a great job I like those bottles and they are also environmentally friendly. In any case, every little gesture you make towards Bitcoin such as this serves to let someone know Bitcoin. I appreciate what you have done.

Very nice.

Do you have personalized business cards, promotional artwork, or other content aimed at targeting brand name recognition? Are those types of things even good ideas?

I was looking at CNC laser cut business cards and wedding invitations awhile ago. Some are very intricate and beautiful with elaborate scrollwork and filligree. They are also somewhat low cost to produce considering they only require paper and electricity at the low end. With the power consumption of some solid state CNC lasers used for engraving purposes being 10 watts or lower. It is possible that is a decent option for producing business cards and promotional material.

Google search, something like: CNC laser business card

I wonder if anyone 3d prints business cards, keychains or other random items to promote their business? Could it be cost effective and feasible to do so?

This is a very kind gesture of you! I hope your approach to your customers work and they feel incentivized to use bitcoin from now on. Many of them must be curious on why it's written "HODL" on the bottle of water, but they must know it's something related to Bitcoin, because that logo is well known worldwide already.

The "HODL" slogan is a good start point to introduce new adopters to bitcoin, because it basically tells everything they have to do as adopters: to hold bitcoin for the future, so they will be caring for their money against the depreciation of the local fiat currency.

Your beauty shop right? I remember your first story on how you have begun accepting BTC payment in your beauty shop, it is great you are giving us a follow up on how things are going after BTC's inclusion as a payment option in your shop. Those water bottles look beautiful, and i am sure most of your customers would want one for themselves even without paying you in BTC, while it is up to you on how you wanna give it out, you could make it an incentive for people who pay with BTC.

You haven't told us how many people have been interested in paying you with BTC so far, what is the awareness like for now. Lastly, you might have to do some explaining on what "HODL" means, it would seem senseless to people who aren't Bitcoiners :P 8).

I thought it would be cool to start the new year bearing gifts.
It will very much appreciated, knowing that many persons, your customers included must have spent a lot during the festive December and new year celebrations, a gift at this time will put smiles on their faces.

The bold print will raise some curiosity and questions from the people who are still completely ignorant about bitcoins, they may think that the printer made a mistake in the spelling of "hodl" which some may believe should be "hold". In trying to debate and find out why it is spelt that way, many people will get to understand.

Nice idea, proud and happy that you have thought about this sort of promotion since I also manage a branding/printing company and know how effective in promotion and powerful branded items can be.

You are giving gifts as locks to your clients and on locks, there are some messages with Bitcoin icon and HODL. It is good but I think those printed texts and icon will be blurred after using a few months. It depends on quality of printing too but in general it won't last forever. Furthermore, not all of your clients will use those locks every day.

If you can consider alternatives like a painting with Bitcoin and HODL and put it into a frame with a checked mark of your business, it is so good. Your clients can hang it in their guest rooms or living rooms and they will see it every day.

@SatoPrincess, why open a new topic when this is just a continuation of what you posted a few days ago? Will you open a new topic every time you add something new to your business?

If I understand correctly, the OP presents gifts, namely bottles of ordinary water, the difference between which is the bitcoin logo and the company name. Why would people keep such bottles for months? Or maybe in your country, such bottles are not disposable? ;D
OP, I would definitely go to your salon, I think it's fascinating.

It seems to me that he plans to create similar topics until his rank rises to legendary. :)

Thank you for the advice. The gifts are incentives to increase brand awareness, the sales promotion wouldn’t be effective if I become selective of how to gift besides I haven’t had any bitcoin payments yet.

I do actually. I’m not a new business, I have been around for a while. Research has proven that it does work.

That wouldn’t be so bad now, would it? lol this is it. I will be updating the OP on that thread. I should have reserved posts right under the OP for these kind of updates. Thanks

That’s not the point. People give sentimental value to gifts, it’s a thing over here. I still have at home souvenirs from weddings and birthday parties that I really don’t need, I don’t get rid of them because I subconsciously have placed a sentimental value on them.

It seems to me that he plans to create similar topics until his rank rises to legendary. :)

Seems that way

Presentation of gifts items in this Yuletide with bitcoin encrypted materials is another unique way of celebration in a grand style which also includes bitcoin awareness to people, there's no doubt that alot of people have extended this generous act on others from the impacts they have benefited from bitcoin, this is freedom indeed and before the complete word comes "free" which is an indication on how Satoshi gave us this freely without any demand before adoption in which the later end "dom" means the domain, wherever we are it is expected of us to have this peculiar dominion through bitcoin adoption, OP believe your gifts items recipient will appreciate them all and wanted to know about bitcoin as well.

Nice job OP and thank you for this innovative bitcoin awareness project. Your saloon story was nice, hope it offers services for both males and females. If you were in my location I would have visited and enjoyed some of your services. Water bottles like this are cherished in my country. In my area, it could be afforded mostly by the wealthy and can be gotten by the low class as gifts. I hope we would see updates on your awareness programs in a single thread. Keep up the good work, gradually you would turn your business area into a Bitcoin payment hub. I am sure people would ask questions and get information about bitcoin through your publicity. Good-luck.

It's a good gesture and marketing for your business. That will make them remember that there's your business that accepts bitcoin and they can go to you when they want to know more about it.

If it's not going to cost you that much and you're allocating budget for this type of promotion, I think that you can do it whole year round and your name, bitcoin's logo will be everywhere in your locale.

You keep reminding your clients about btc over and over again, step by step, and that's great. If you just imagine that all small businesses start doing something similar, then what effect will this have. It's unimaginable. So btc or its logo can be seen at every turn and the townsfolk will sooner or later begin to wonder if they should try bitcoin.

This is a small contribution to the fame of btc, but this is where need to start.

@ OP,you wouldn't stop amazing me,am just wondering right now,how far you are going to make sure your customers have bitcoin awareness in their minds and even when they are at home this bottle water which has bitcoin logo on it can bring their thought back to it.

I admire your effort to help the adoption of bitcoin and also advertising it to the fullest. Enjoy the benefits of bitcoin in your business. Please you can give to all your customers as this can also motivate those customers who don't pay in bitcoin to learn about bitcoin and might later start paying with bitcoin due to the discount they will get when they pay with bitcoin.

I am happy to buy it because it has a modern design and is suitable for those who have information about bitcoin, so it will leave a good impression on customers if you give it to them as a gift, and it may be a kind of free advertising if they give it to their friends.

One of the key elements to owning a business is Marketing! It's extremely important
to let people know your service exists and what you provide. The two messages on the
bottle are key, your business name and contact details and in this case the Bitcoin logo.

They should always associate your business with Bitcoin and being able to pay with it.
This also provides a secondary type of advertising when others see the bottles.

Well done to SatoPrincess, very proactive to give presents to your clients at the start of the year.

They love it. Good news easily spreads around town. There are fifty people in my city now with a water bottle that has “hodl” and a bitcoin logo on it. The thought of that alone gives me a good feeling

Thanks, it’s a good way to promote bitcoin. There is still a lot of time, the year just started I’m sure I will be having customers pay in bitcoin by mid-year.

Thanks, you can customize one for yourself. The design was nicely done and is very appealing to the eyes. Hopefully they may take it to the gym and others will see it there too.

Nice one @SatoPrincess!  This a clever way to promote your acceptance of BTC in your store and at the same time pique the interest of those who don't know Bitcoin.  You are not only getting people's sentiments but also triggering their interest in Bitcoin and possibly your payment option.  After all, you also give discounts to whoever pays in Bitcoin, this kind of giveaway gives support to spread the news about your establishment accepting Bitcoin.  I think it would be better if the name of your company and the option to pay in bitcoin for your products is also printed on the giveaway.
