Nowadays people just d go d extreme to arrange kidnapping of themselves just to raise ransom indirectly for themselves. Self kidnap don become another line of business for some people. How did we get to this level? And how we go take counter this self kindnap business

Most of this news no really dey me strange again because even before now, bible been don talk so for the last days, plenty unbelievable things go sub and from the look of thing, e come be like say we don ready dey the last days be this.
But most of this men wey we dey regard as men of God no really dey holy or righteous based on the kind things wey we dey see and hear lately.
We don hear of how pastor dey sleep with people wife and we don hear so many incredible things about most men of God wey no really sharp at all.
The issue of self kidnapping don happen of recent for my neighborhood wey one guy kidnap himself so he fit collect money from him people so he fit use flex him babe wey dey ask for human hair.
To me self kidnapping na madness and anybody wey involve for that matter suppose dey prison.

Just because he is a Pastor doesn't mean his sympathizers will not suspect something is weird about it. I wonder what he did to the money that he had to do it again. Justifying it might help his sympathizers understand.

I'm not from Nigeria but this is a developing country with so many resources afaik, this country even has oil and gas of their own. But then you know the number and the kind of crimes reflect how the economic status of the country.

Lol, this one na funny matter oh, i no go call this one business sha, because people wey fit run this kind thing no go plenty, and me i no believe say e they predominantly happen for Naija. Well as the matter be now we go trust our security personnel to they fish out people like this, but the reason why person go even fake their kidnap na because real kidnapping don they too much for Naija, and police no they ever solve the issue, so people believe say even if them fake their kidnap, police no go do any investigation and e go they hard to find out say na the person plan everything.

See wetin hunger dey cause... You kidnap yourself, church go donate ransom money give you and go come climb alter again dey preach. This one na hustler and e clear say this man of God na im call himself because God no go fit call this kind person.

OP these kind things no be new thing for the country as far as person fit him self or relative, siblings you can see all these are small small things why but wetin person go reason be say why person no hustle and get for him self why all scamming things they sub..
The pastor you're saying now he don't really think about the outcome why will he did such thing for his people na only God knows the kind of money wey him don get with those people but he still dump them e no make sense make try they hustle for him self

Nothing person no fit see from this country, but i think i didn't it out of financial problems which he might ask from the church members and they couldn't give him, no be the first time wey him take do this kind of thing kidnapping himself before, but i think he later regret his actions, all this thing na lack of good government a pastor of all Church kidnapped himself for the financial problem.

News like this dey make me cringe. Like WFT. People like this are giving bad names to the priesthood. This person is not a pastor and can never be. He is just a business person. I can imagine the type of sermons he preaches to his congregations. He should be first flogged or his properties sold, the money recovered and distributed back to members who donated for his so-called release. In addition, the FG who enact a punishment for folks like this. Maybe 6 months in prison depending on the so called ransom money he collected from people.

When you think you have heard it all in dis country the more surprises wey this naija, our beloved country get to show us. Well e no be new thing again for some people because na so so different kind of obnoxious and sad story dem wey we day hear everytimes for news. But this particular news kinda dey funny sha because how person go kidnap him own self for the sake of collecting ransom from his members, and with the couple fact say him na even pastor sef. Some people sef no just dey fear god at all

News of self-abduction is nothing new for us in Naija, but seeing a pastor kidnap himself twice is just too hilarious to imagine. He should not have participated in such an act as a man of God. He has only tarnished the image of the church, and the surrounding community will always regard him as an untrustworthy individual. We know the country is difficult, but there are some things we should train our minds not to think about. I'm hoping that things will change soon.

No be only Pastor they run this kind fake kidnapping business, I don see so many people wey go hide the selves come make some set up with calls saying that dem kidnap them because them see say them get parent or family member get enough money wey dem no fit get by just asking them to give.

But baba make I no lie you, na Poverty de cause all this kind heartless thinking, because normal person no go demand ransome from his parent or relatives. I just they pray make we get better leaders wey no go they selfish and go take care of us.

Na wa oh make God help us especially the men of God wey don plenty for Nigeria, everybody won be pastors as them don see say church na business wey be say church members money go dey their hand for them to chop and if e happen say the money no dey their possession, them go come up with another means just to still collect money.
No be everybody wey say e be pastor be real pastor,some dey use in the name of pastor dey carry out their evil deeds,no be any church wey them invite you na e u go because end time don come and devil himself na pastor now LOL. Poverty for the country make people dey use God name dey hustle to survive.

I won’t blame or use poverty as an excuse for someone who intentionally plans their own abduction/Kidnap for them to be able to get money of their loved once.

Kidnapping is a hot topic here even now that many Kidnappers are putting or making use of crypto-Currency as a medium of transactions.  Self kidnapping is a selfish avenue and I think it’s should be given same sentencing as a real deal kidnapping.

Who would be surprised at this sort of news these days? I believe only a few people can be moved by this kind of news. If not for the sake of hardship, there would have been no need for the pastor to kidnap himself. But it's absurd that such an incident was carried out by a pastor, lol. Men of God these days are just using God's name to cover up their criminal acts; a true man of God would beg instead of partaking in such an act. 

I wonder how hard it was for the church members who helped raise the money to pay his ransom. Despite the level of hardship he has faced to make him commit such an act, there is no reason to justify his actions. What baffles me is how he escaped the first time; God showed mercy as he was not caught, and he tried the second time. Although I have heard about five cases of self-kidnapping, none were pastor.

Na waa o, the hustle don take another dimension and this one no funny shah, e just show how lazy some people don be when it comes to making money legitly. This religion business cef eh, e don dey on another level o. The way people care dey seek God eh, this God way dey everywhere na em people dey fine like say, e get particular place way them keep am. Anyway, people just need grow up shah. Na to avoid circumstances like this make Catholic Church refuse payment of ransom for kidnapped priest. Make them cucuma no con turn target and cases as in OP no go dey come up. Make people try dey learn abeg!

Na d legit be that ooo, when member's no dy gree give better offering again pastor they find money now, pastor self wan buy Benz now and again d way things come hard dis days na on god oo. But Sha it's very bad for someone that's is preaching the words of God to the involved in this kind act wetin him wan teach the followers.

Omo this self kidnap business done dey serious, person go just stage em own kidnapping just because say em wan collect money, I know of a family whose  son stage his kidnap and requested for a 5 million naira ransom on hearing it that his son was kidnapped the man slumped and died, now the boy has lost his dad no one to pay the money now the dad has died ..so staging kidnapping is not a good one .

I remember in NYSC when they told us that nysc won't pay money for any kidnap victim we were told to be careful as some corp members stage Der own kidnap.

Well my opinion to this,is that I know it's real self kidnapping, but this is the worst thing a human being who is is breathing in air can do to himself, because of money no matter how hard the country may be or life may treat you, because you are creating a havocs to you and your entire generation, you suffer your own family or relations or friends to pay ransom and you know full well that no body kidnapped you you are just seeking for a means of getting money from your own people, the worst of it is that you call yourself a Man of God and on Sunday you will bondly stand on the altar of God saying that God sent you and you think you will go free,no wonder bible says that on the last day judgement will start from the church..

Omoh the way things be now eh, things don really hard reach where people dey do anything possible to make money, I know say people dey do self kidnap well well, but this one wey be say e dey come from a pastor, e really surprise me oo, which kind pastor be that one na, wetin be the name of en church, normally shall the Bible talk am say at the last days, so many people will prophecy with my name but they are not of me, I no too surprise bcos I know say the world go soon end..

Self kidnapping been happen one time for my street oo, one girl form her kidnap with some guys so that she fit collect 500k from her dad so she fit buy phone and clothes,

But the kidnappers come collect 5million from her dad, come dey give her 300k, omoh na the girl vex oo, nai she go report herself to her dad, the guys escape, the dad first arrest her but later come release her....
