 Is this a poll?

Of course you should peel them

What are you waiting for? Your waiting for the scumbag to steal your BTC?

It's a gamble tbh. Personally I peeled the ones I have except for one set that I cannot access rn.
But make sure to check balances.
Numerous cases have already come to light were history cold keys were not funded at all.

As hard as it may be to swallow, it would be prudent to peel - yoggs process was described as one where no keys were held or saved - the fact that he “found a random usb drive” would make me believe there could be other such drives and based on his dishonesty about it, I would not want to trust any sats to him any longer than necessary.

Those of you who said no or maybe are killing me. Peel the god damn cards. He stole a lot of money from all of us, why let him steal more?

By leaving them funded, there is no sort of potential premium for them down the road since they will maybe be one of the few that never got swept. No one here is ever going to buy them knowing they could be swept at any moment and selling them to anyone not familiar with the situation, like on eBay, would be a shady move to say the least.

There’s no win in not redeeming.

do not waste time @Jcga, it is not a bet that is worth it, collect the amount immediately.

no one will want to buy objects like this because the value of btc inside these private keys is unfortunately cancelled and it's linked to a scam, a brand / company / reputation has been completely destroyed and painted with a dismal story.

then maybe you want to take this risk... but it's like you're ready to throw in the trash this btc amount.
unfortunately the loaded Coldkey objects will be very rare in the future, but I don't think it's worth the risk, nor give him the opportunity to screw even these btc

If I see any of these things on eBay where someone here is trying to rip off the unknowing… it wont be pleasant.

We cannot become scammers just because we all got scammed.

Why in the name of all that is good would you not peel? After what we have gone thru you want to take a chance of allowing hom to steal more BTC?

This is a non brainer....sweep while it is still there.

I was going to list my swept Silver halving on eBay for a ridiculous amount. With close up pictures of the address, intact holos, and proof of the btc being swept. Not to sell the damn things, but to raise awareness. I feel all avenues of spreading the knowledge of this Coldkey scam should be used, but didn’t want to hurt other physical btc collectibles in the process. So I haven’t. I’m still a newb in this space

I've never seen any coldkeys on ebay myself, but I could have missed something.

I'm pretty sure most customers were here on the forum, but there could be stragglers ofc.

I'm about to post the full list of coins and addresses of all keys in his Mongo DB dump he gave me from the website (No customer info, no worries lol), maybe someone can analyze how much BTC has been left unpeeled. If I have the serials of any cards NOT peeled, I MIGHT be able to find the specific customers email address as well, etc... ???

Thanks!

I have over 220 funded coldkeys last I counted that i have not been able to access due to weather and where I keep them for very long term cold storage but I should be able to get to then this week. I'll be verifying all the swept cards on one of these threads. I really can't imagine him not sweeping anymore if he had access to do so. He has nothing left to lose at this point so I'm hopeful I still have tons of low funded wallets which was my original reason of collecting them,  not for future resell.🤞

I agree with you. 220, a lot of cards, it will take you a few hours, you will save time cutting next to the holo square, carefully.

The work was well done from the maker, qr codes are easy to access cause well protected with a little plastic cover.

All cards were funded, once all sat saved feeling a lot better.
