Title: 10 Biggest U.S Lottery Jackpots Ever...(Until Now)
Post by: Fivestar4everMVP on January 17, 2023, 05:58:48 AM
Hi Guys ..

I found this information online and thought i should share it to our gambling community here, And also, I would like to find out from you all what your thoughts are, Do you think winning enormous amounts like in the records below, is possible online lottery Casinos?

Lets dive in - 10 biggest lottery jackpots ever in the U.S Until when this post was created...

1. $2.04 billion
The largest lottery jackpot to date, a Powerball drawing, was won on Nov. 7, 2022. The ticket was sold at Joe’s Service Center in Altadena, Calif., just north of Pasadena.
Lottery officials said the ticket holder was the first lottery billionaire in the state. It was unclear as of early January 2023 whether the winner had claimed the prize. A spokeswoman for the Powerball said the vetting process for winners in California could take months.

2. $1.586 billion
The second-biggest jackpot, also a Powerball, was split three ways. The winning numbers were drawn on Jan. 13, 2016, matching tickets bought in California, Florida and Tennessee.
“I think we can all live on $528 million, don’t you think?” Russ Lopez, a spokesman for the California Lottery, said at the time.

3. $1.54 billion
The largest Mega Millions prize was the third-largest jackpot overall, with the winning ticket drawn on Oct. 23, 2018, in South Carolina.

It took a while for the prize to be claimed. In March of the following year, an anonymous winner came forward through a lawyer, opting to cash in a one-time lump sum of $877,784,124 instead of taking payments over 30 years.

4. $1.35 billion
A single ticket-holder in Maine won an estimated $1.35 billion in the Mega Millions drawing on Jan. 14, 2023.  The wining ticket was sold at Hometown Gas & Grill in Lebanon, Maine, according to state lottery officials.

5. $1.337 billion
One lucky person in Illinois bought the winning Mega Millions ticket on July 29, 2022. After several weeks, a winner came forward. Once again, the winner’s identity was unknown, because Illinois law lets big winners keep their names and addresses confidential in most cases.

6. $1.05 billion
A group identified as the Wolverine FLL Club of Oakland County won a ticket for just over $1 billion in the Mega Millions drawing on Jan. 22, 2021. Someone picked the numbers at a Kroger grocery store in Novi, a city of about 60,000 people that is 30 miles northwest of Detroit.

7. $768.4 million
Manuel Franco of Wisconsin won a $768.4 million prize in the Powerball drawing on March 27, 2019. The sum was enough for Mr. Franco to quit his job within two days of winning.

Wisconsin has no law protecting the identities of people who win lotteries, which means Mr. Franco was required to come forward publicly.

8. $758.7 million
A 53-year-old health care worker in Massachusetts became a millionaire when she won the Powerball on Aug. 23, 2017. The winner, Mavis Wanczyk, opted for a lump-sum payment of $480.5 million. After taxes — 25 percent to the federal government and 5 percent to her state — she took home $336 million.

9. $731.1 million
A hefty sum of more than $700 million went to the buyer of the winning Powerball ticket on Jan. 20, 2021, in Maryland. Lottery winners there can choose to remain anonymous. Whoever it was accepted the prize under the nickname “The Power Pack.”

10. $699.8 million
Scott Godfrey of California became a millionaire when he won the Powerball on Oct. 4, 2021. Mr. Godfrey opted for the lump sum of $496 million before taxes. He told KSBY that he planned to donate some of that money to charity.

In some of the states within the US, residents are allowed to purchase Powerball tickets online. In some other states, there are proxy methods such as using Lotto.com (they purchase the ticket for the player and then send a photo of the ticket to confirm purchase). So it is possible to participate in lottery tickets online. But if the question is whether it is possible to win such huge amounts in games that are exclusively online, then I don't think so. Maximum winnings can range from a few tens of thousands of USD to hundred thousand USD at the most. I haven't heard of anything more than that. Sports betting also has maximum bets of 500x or so.

State lotteries will always have a higher jackpot than any even the largest online casino, the biggest win that I managed to find was on January 20, 2013, a 40-year-old resident of Finland made a bet of 25 cents in Mega Fortune and won about $24 million, but there were also larger winnings in offline casinos.

To be honest here the said winning amounts are very much and this makes it gives a second thought but nevertheless we cannot doubt the extent to which they can go since we cannot conclude on their financial obligations, it is believed that lottery has to do with winning a big amount of money and this makes government itself to participate partly in it but as for gambling or sport betting, one has to believe the possibility if they have done something of it kind before in the past which is evident to everyone.

2. Is there any online lottery casino available where it is possible to win such as enormous amount of money?

It's possible though I can't recommend one because i cant vouch for their integrity together with reputation that they will definitely do the needful or not, lottery can give up to that but online gambling will have to be base on live experience from who have dealings in gambling with them winning such huge amount.

1. Possible as long as the casino is really trusted and reputable because the casino is make more money than the gambler's winning, so it mean the casino is able to spend a lot money to pay those prize.

2. Freebitco.in is the example of trusted and reputable casino, although the prize isn't high as that. There's a golden ticket lottery where you have a chance to get lambo, if you refuse to receive lambo as a prize, you will get $200,000 worth of money in Bitcoin.

No one can compare with a Powerball win which is what the majority of the mentioned people have won in this thread.I doubt anyone in sport betting or in casino games like slot machines and other games like roulette, poker etc has ever been capable of winning such huge amounts. The one couple that I know and read online some years ago have won a huge jackpot in slot machines at Vegas after playing for more than 40 years they got 75 million dollars which is a totally irrelevant sum compared to the sums mentioned in this thread,so yes I also think no sport betting or slot machine playing can give you that number of win, some slot machines offer a x300.000 your bet as a maximum payout but still cannot compare with those prizes.

I don't think it's possible too, that will require an enormous amount of players which online gambling sites would not expect to have.
Because of the broad amount of game options they have, gamblers would rather play those and try their luck than put it in a lotto ticket which provability to win is too low near impossible. Then, there's Keno as a better option.

I only know Keno, I have not bumped to any online lotto service yet with such a huge amount of prize.
It's interesting to know only, but when it comes to betting my interest in lotto is gone just thinking about how low the chance to hit the 6-7 numbers there is in a single bet. It will take years or never before you can hit it.

Millions of people play the lottery, but only a few win the jackpot. It is therefore virtually impossible to win the jackpot. I think it is impossible to win a huge amount of money at an online casino. It's just not profitable for the casino. If you want to win a lot of money, it's better not to dream about it. Reality and dreams are two different things.

1.No, I don't think it's possible.
2.No, there aren't any casinos offering 1 billion USD jackpots.

You are comparing apples with bananas here.
The big lotteries have nothing to do with casinos/sports betting platforms. I know that both are considered gambling, but the core principle is different. Big lotteries rely on a large pool of ticket buyers, while the casinos/sports betting websites rely on a small amount of active gamblers, who are spending money on gambling on a daily basis. In many countries the lotteries are allowed, while the casinos are heavily restricted. That's why some big lottery games can accumulate hundreds of millions as jackpots.

1. I think not in a single draw but maybe on multiple consecutive wins and if the online casino has something that may cater that amount.

2. I don't think there is, besides there's a lot of online lotteries out there but most of them aren't that popular and won't have that kind of amount to win. There are few people in crypto space and this kind of amount for a lottery won't be possible today.

In short, there are really people who made huge amount of money from gambling but what does it imply? To break the stigma, gambling will not be an easy way to be rich unless you are lucky. Not because there are people who won jackpots, would mean same thing will happen on your end. Bottomline is luck. Do not rely that much in this industry for financial aid because losing is more likely to happen in every game. Many people become addicted in this idusry because of such impression and hope. There will never be a way to be rich in an instant, on a daily basis. Play the game with expectations of winning but never be too dependent on such chances.

There is no way one can win that much from an online casino or from bookies. You have to win an impossible bet that the casino will find a way for you not to be able to withdraw them lol

No online lottery will consolidate the amount of money that will reach $100M - —not even a $1M yet. But today we already can find casinos that will ask KYC, and ask 3rd party to investigate any fraud for an alibi that they won't send the winning.

I think one shouldn't expect he'd get his amount if he won a billion USD.
The casino will just weigh thier options, they can make a new casino like a fresh start or suffer the loss of a billion. Which do you think they will chose?

I like to have one, but offline lottery is bigger than online lottery because people tend to trust offline casinos because they can easily reach the operators because they have a physical office, compared to online lottery where your means of contact is through online support.

Haha, this is what I thought too. Maybe not all service providers implement this alibi. But it seems that it will be quite difficult to get money from the wins you have. So many cases of big wins have been canceled by online gambling service providers, for reasons of cheating. This will also be difficult to prove legally, especially since we are playing with providers who are not from our country. Finally, the provider may apply "deposit refund" if someone wins big money but the provider doesn't have the money to pay out the big win and says "you are cheating"  :D.

I don't think casinos will have deep enough pockets to pay wins that will reach billions. The most successful casino by revenue only gets $1.6 billion estimate per year, so I doubt they'd be fool enough to let potential winnings go over what they post in a year. At best, maybe you'll see $50 - $100 million wins in a single night in casinos, but definitely wouldn't reach Powerball or lottery-level prizes due to obvious reasons.

And to think that the government keeps 1/4th of the total winnings on lotteries, I think it's not so bad for them to give out these amounts every now and then.

Title: Re: 10 Biggest U.S Lottery Jackpots Ever...(Until Now)

Online casinos limit the amount to bet so anyone will not get a huge amount they are not willing to give out. We will be seeing more scam accusation threads here if they have no bet limits. So it's not possible to win big time in an online casino.

Lotteries like Powerball are supported by governments, and the money they give out also comes from the people. As long as they claim and prove to have won, they will give the amount up to billions.

There is no need to ask if you can win such jackpots in casino or not because it is specified how much that can be won maximally in a bet. It is to go through the rules and you see that. They limit the winning limit and you can't win more than what it specify. Like in Nigeria, the gambling companies have a limit that you can bet with and the limit also for winning and so it is not possible for you to bet below the minimum amount or to win above the winning limit.

Even if it is unlikely when so many people are buying lottery tickets then someone is going to eventually win, and I really hope those winners hire a money manager as even if they had money before winning the lottery all sense of proportion will go out of the window after such massive wins, which explains why many lottery winners end up wishing they never won the lottery as such a huge amount of money instead of bringing the happiness they were looking for brings them nothing but sorrow.

To be honest, I'm not that interested in lotteries. because the percentage of winning the lottery jackpot is very, very small. just imagine, only a few people who have the luck to get the Powerball lottery jackpot. out of the millions of Americans who bet on this lottery, only a few people are lucky and you have named a few of them. Of course, it will be different from sports betting because the number of multiples of profits from each bet is not as fantastic as lottery bets. after all, sports betting has a high win ratio for every gambler.

However, regarding online gambling/sports betting. To the best of my knowledge, online casinos have predetermined win limits. thus, it is very different from the Powerball lottery supported by the American government. So, we agree with your own opinion. because the fact is, we've never seen one.

I guess there may have been maybe a handful of people who might have traded or gambled huge amounts of bitcoin in the earliest days, which at the peak could have translated into hundreds of millions if they had whale size wallets. Beyond that, no gambling sites even come close to these numbers when you're talking about single winners. Lotteries have possibly the biggest user base and are accessible in so many different markets that it's impossible to compete at that scale. You are best off looking for a lottery that is applicable to the specific country that you reside in, as that will reduce any potential complications when it comes to claiming a win and you don't want to find out you're ineligible at that point.

The odds in lotteries are very small that's why it has a very high jackpot amount, I doubt if it's possible to win a such jackpot in any online gambling site/ sports betting. Only a few people are lucky enough to hit a jackpot in lotteries and there are over thousands or even millions betting in lotteries.

I definitely agree with your, winning such an amount from online gambling or sports betting is indeed impossible, reason being that, like I've learnt here, there's a limit to the maximum amount of money  a gambler can win, online casinos must have put this measures in place to make sure no gambler wins an amount of money they won't be able to pay, because such a thing would not only ruin their business, but it's also very shameful..

Betting limits on wager amounts diminish potential winnings as far as gambling goes. There isn't anywhere in the united states that offers card games like blackjack with a $1 million dollar per hand basis. Betting limits usually do not approach the $1 million dollar mark. Which makes it difficult for a theoretical scenario where gamblers win more than $100 million, to exist.

I have heard that places outside the USA, such as macao near china, offer $1 million dollar bets in some circumstances.

The other element that would make it difficult to win more than $1 million gambling is the aggressive policy in place. Where many winning gamblers are banned from placing bets.

Betting limits and bans are the two biggest obstacles to gamblers earning those types of payouts IMO.

In theory, a $10,000 bet at long odds in a parlay or accumulator format, could earn millions. But I don't remember a documented scenario where that has happened. The most I have heard of anyone winning is around $100,000.

The betting is cheap but the probability to win is very high and you’re so lucky if you hit that jackpot.
Winning the lottery can totally change your life and I’d hope that those winners know how to handle such money and will stay rich because I’d heard a lot of failed stories from the winners of lottery, they should learn from this and spend the money wisely or else they’ll return to where they came from.

1. Yes, its true but proclaiming winners or publicizing them is something that we cant see which is understandable and this is where people assumed out that there were no winners at all.

2. You could go in here http://powerball.com/games/home
Estimated Jackpot
$439 Million

We do have some other crypto lottery sites as well but not really that much if we do speak about jackpot amounts or prize
which isnt something as big as these fellas.

I do agree with your statement. I mean, winning the lottery is considered to be a once in a lifetime opportunity where the odds are so low that it is impossible for one to win during his/her lifetime. I mean, if you literally won the lottery, it is just like you won in life. But with this kind of money bears with the responsibility of handling your financials. I remember watching a video where majority of the previous lottery winners succumbed to addiction and gambling, thereby losing all of their money in the process.

Just a quick question for everybody- assuming that you won the lottery, would you guys opt to take the winnings via lumpsum or a one-time bigtime single cash out of the prize?

Wow, they're not just millions but hundred millions and BILLIONS!
With the question if it's possible in winning that amount in sports betting, yeah, that's very possible but it will take you time until you accumulate the entire billion amount.
Someone who's rich will make himself rich or poor if he takes a path like this and just to aim the accumulation of billions through gambling. That's a hard goal that has a less chance to be achieved for real. Mostly with those high amounts of jackpots goes with the lottery.

1. Depends on the winning limit. But responding to that question directly, yes it's possible. In sports betting, if really eager to push on that huge winning, a parlay with huge odds will do. But as I said, there's only a winning limit depending on the bookies. The same goes for online gambling. There are top winners' records on a specific slot game if that's available on your preferred casino site.

2. Crypto? Fiat? In fiat, I'm sure there is. In crypto, maybe freebitco.in lottery or we can consider also their Lamborghini lottery. But don't expect there are lots of crypto-gambling sites offering a lottery.

It sure would be nice being able to win a lottery like this.  I don't play these lotteries very often, as I think my money is best invested elsewhere (like in bitcoin),but as the saying goes, you can't win if you don't play.

To answer your question, no, I do not think there is any possibility for a lottery of these sizes possible on an online casino.  In the future one day sure, I could see that being a possibility, but as of right now, there's too many people who aren't good with technology/computers etc and much prefer to buy lotto tickets in person.

Thanks for sharing it is really a good trivia for all of us aspiring to become millionaire or even billionaire from gambling(not lottery at all as this is more to impossible .

Like yours , I'm not sure if this is possible from in sports betting because those seems to be so much amount to win in just a game or 2 , I believe that only lottery can bring this as the prize increase each time there are no winners.

Lottery is definitely something that would be impossible to win at unless you are super lucky and just the favors are with you. So I'm happy for those winners of the lottery but they need to know what they are going to do with that money so that it will not consume them. That's definitely a lot of money and not easy to handle with.

I remember trying out a crypto lottery. The website is https://bitplay.club/

My highest win there was just getting my money back to the ticket. I didn't win a huge amount and definitely not a great thing to do since the guarantee is minuscule, so I don't expect with it too much. It's a just for fun thing.

These are very big amounts. Not only life-changing, these prizes could even support the winner's next generations. Of course it depends on how they will spend their money. But if they avoid ridiculous and useless spending, these amounts could indeed last until their children and their children's children, etc.

But why don't they instead draw 10 winners instead of having only 1 winner of more than $2 billion? I think this way is better. More winners of big prizes, the better.

The actual meaning of the jackpot amount differs in different countries. Let's take three examples of an individual winning lottery in the United States of America, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

Total jackpot: $100,000,000

USA (New York):
Jackpot Amount: $100,000,000
Converting annuity to lumpsum: $52,000,000
Amount to be received after federal income tax: $32,795,928
Amount to be received after state income tax: $28,209,528‬
Final payout: $28,209,528‬

UK:
Jackpot Amount: $100,000,000
Amount to be received after income tax: $100,000,000
Final payout: $100,000,000

UAE:
Jackpot Amount: $100,000,000
Amount to be received after income tax: $100,000,000
Final payout: $100,000,000

As you can see from the above table, the final payout can differ by a lot depending on the jurisdiction.

So Two Questions..
1. Do you think its possible to win such an amount of money in online gambling/Sports betting ?
(my own opinion: I don't think its possible, as I've never seen.

It is difficult to win this such big amounts in online gambling since for sure the casino can't pay you for this. But in the physical casino, it has a possibility but you are putting yourself at risk of winning a huge amount. I don't also saw any articles or news about winning this huge amount in online casinos or sports betting. I only see on the lottery I think the lottery has the highest rewards or pot money right if you won? In a casino, you need to bet high like half of it so that you can win that huge amount also.

For now it looks impossible and so far there has been no lottery prize provided by online casinos with a fantastic amount, so far as I know it only amounts to hundreds of thousands of dollars and that is divided between several winners, in one of the casinos giving a lambo worth $ 200,000.
Meanwhile, for sports betting, there is always a limit, so it's impossible to get fantastic numbers to win.
And that means that no online casino has ever held or given away a lottery prize of that size.

lottery games have big differences with sports betting games apart from the obvious difference that lottery games depend on luck and the person with a very low value ticket gets to win the top prize of millions of dollars if he is lucky, whereas in betting sports casinos also have to limit the amount that people can bet because if a person bets millions of dollars on a game and then wins, then the casino would not be able to pay that person, that's why casinos need to limit the amount of bets, but in the case of the lottery, only one person out of thousands who bought tickets wins the lottery.

Answer:

1.) This huge jackpot prize is not possible in online casinos since the prize pool coming from this lottery is from the whole country bettor which means the government lottery has much bigger customers than an online casino. This jackpot prize is almost equal to or more than the casino bankroll itself.

2.) National lottery is the only place that offers this kind of enormous jackpot. The rest is a scam if ever someone can offer this prize pool because it requires a customer of a whole country to attain that budget required.

1. It is possible to win that kind of money in online or sports betting, but only lucky people can really win that kind of money.

2. An online lottery casino allows us to win large amounts of money but it may depend on how much money we use to buy tickets.

Freebitco.in provides it because you can buy lotteries there and hope to win lots of bitcoins. But it will come back to how much luck will be on your side because we will never know when luck will come to us.

There must be a special treatment for one gambler to claim such high rewards if ever a gambling site opens up a betting line like this.
Because it can be done if some made a bet for millions of dollars in one parlay. It could go way beyond x100 in a parlay and if it wins it should be given considering a negotiation did happen that they accepted the bet.
But in my experience, I have not seen it happen yet. I guess no one would dare go to that extent, betting huge amount and take a parlay which risk was so high that most of the time it doesn't win.

Yes, it is possible to win such a big amount but it also dependa on the risks that we are willing to take. Those bettors are surely high rollers who have big hopes in gambling that they are also able to bet huge. Legit and trusted lotteries like national lotteries could provide big jackpot prices depending on the bettors total betting amount but it could only be won by luck.

That's 100 million, we're talking about more than 500 million dollars, at least that's what OP suggested.

Sure, it's possible to win 100million in a casino, but I'd say it's not possible to win a billion, like some of these lottery winners from the list. Many casinos would go bankrupt if they somehow allowed someone to win a billion or he'd sue them and won that in court.

Lotteries are built this way so that people get lured in by these huge wins and they allow for a win like that to happen from time to time to work as a promo. All these wins are paid by losers who buy tickets for months and the organization that runs the lottery sets some of these profits aside to later hit people with news of a gigantic win.

I already saw big wins in slots which mostly came from those gambling streamers. For games like poker and roulette. These two table games are also popular like slots so there are also people who are playing huge on them. On the national television and on youtube, there are people betting huge amount of money from these games so when they win, their winnings are also massive.

It can be millions or billions. Lottery prizes are huge because all the games are not normal but you are like playing for the jackpot round each time you bet. It's hard to win on them because the odds are high, so the amount people lose will just quickly add up in the pot.

These are weird

I had to google what they mean by vetting. Apparently it's checking the signatures match,  store surveillance video and many other things. I would be freaked out i didn't win. My signatures don't even match, when i first learned to sign something i panicked and Made fist capital letters with random nervous scribbling, Now i have been doing that my whole life and they are always different.

And how bad could the system be if you need months to check it? I mean i understand they don't want to pay it to wrong person, but how would that wrong person arrange that scam?

This feels just wrong. And i can't find a single reason for this. Let the winner at least buy security before calling them out.

This is something i don't understand either. Why does US citizens want to keep this up that prices and prizes are before taxes. Everything in Finland and i think in whole eu are after taxes. Lottery winnings are just Tax free. We wouldn't really care if they would actually be after taxes because that wouldn't make any difference to winner.

So guys, i hope you all find the article interesting, so lets discuss..

You can play American lotteries from any country. Which makes it weird for them to have such a long vetting period. If my account is already kyc:ed why would i need 2 months of more kyc:ing?

If the bookies will allow that kind of huge amount of winning then it's possible.

But imagined how tough and difficult to win that kind of huge amount, especially in sports betting since that was only possible if;

- will bet a high stake
- forming multiple parlay legs to achieve an insane high odds

2. Is there any online lottery casino available where it is possible to win such as enormous amount of money? Please share ..

I think in some countries, their respective national lottery can be purchased online.

Referring to crypto-casino, I think the lottery is something, not that demanded or being supported. Never seen a crypto-casino doing a lottery offering such huge amounts that were close to the figures stated on the main post.

But why don't they instead draw 10 winners instead of having only 1 winner of more than $2 billion? I think this way is better. More winners of big prizes, the better.

In most lottery types, the the number of winners is based on how many were able to get the exact draw results.

It's not designed to only give the chances of winning to only 1 person. They can have 1 winner or even 100+ winners at the same time if lucky.

Just here in our country last year, a super rare occurrence happened in our Grand Lotto 6/55 where 433 bettors won at the same time and the crazy thing is, the winning numbers are divisible by 9. The result is 9-18-27-36-45-54. That was insane!

Yes, there should be at least a winner protection program or some sort.

But it's clearly stated that Wisconsin has now laws regarding that therefore, all bettors here are supposed to know already and understand what they are up to once they won. They are not even forced to bet in the lottery in the first place.

Actually, if that's my case, I'd rather strongly hope first that luck will hit me as to how to claim the money, at least, in private, can think about later on.

Laws regarding anonymity of lottery winners vary from state to state within the United States. For example in Illinois, anyone who win more than $250,000 can opt for their name and residence details to be kept anonymous. In case the request is not made, then the lottery has all the rights to publicize their details. Similar laws are applicable in Kansas, Delaware, Maryland, Texas. In Minnesota, the winner doesn't need to do anything. Any player winning a prize greater than $10,000 by default gains the right to remain anonymous (unless they opt against it). But in most of the other states, the winners doesn't have any such rights and Wisconsin is one of them.

No...? Don't most bets (whether casino or sports bets) have a limit on the amount of bet? There might be some special cases, but they're called "special" for a reason and isn't exactly a regular part of the system. Not sure though, never really bothered trying it myself after all.

As for the second, casino lotteries should have big prize pools but probably not as big as national lotteries. they're the only ones afaik that cater to such big amounts of prize pools in terms of lottery. But I reckon you'd probably have higher chances in the former since it has less participants than the latter.

And those who play for big money want to win big money, which happens in many gambling games, and the lottery game is no exception. And even though they already know that the lottery game is a game of luck, they still buy tickets in large quantities and keep hoping they will one day be the winner.

But these people have been just publicized on how much they've won. I wonder what's the situation of their lives from now on and if they're still doing good with their lives through these winnings that they've made.
It's hard to hide in the public when you're so much excited with the amount you've won and that's making you want to be exposed through media and publish your story into their platforms.

Yes here in our country our lottery which is a government-run can payout large amounts of money as long as the jackpot is not being hit it will just carry over, lotteries here in our country can do that because its government-run, and it's well organized and audited so they have no reason not to decline winners of their winnings.

Well obviously it would be better to win big then not to win and keep your identity secret, but i just don't understand how "i wasnt forced to gamble" would any good explanation. For the lack of personal security. Its like my plane would crash and insurance people would say that i wasn't forced to fly, that i knew the risks.

In Finland everyone's income taxes are public information. I know that many countries view this as shocking, but at least they have time to make their addresses private and hire better security before their taxes are released at the end of the year. Not that we have much problems with robberies in the first place.

Maybe we all here know that the US is a country with the largest gambling industry in the world, especially the Jackpot Lottery, where the US has land casinos that are quite widely spread in US territory, especially Los Angeles.

I've seen one source that states A single winning ticket for the $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot was sold in California (https://edition.cnn.com/2022/11/08/us/powerball-lottery-record-delayed-drawing-tuesday-trnd#:~:text=Joseph%20Chahayed%20is%20the%20shop,a%20%241%20million%20bonus%20check.), yang di menangkan oleh 3 orang.
Quote
The largest Powerball jackpot ever won was in January 2016, when three winners split a prize advertised at $1.586 billion. Each took their share of the cash value, which added up to $983.5 million.

Only $ 1.586 billion were won by the three people, as I quoted above, maybe for one person's $ 2.04 billion victory, I have never seen it.

I will also say it all depends on the country involved, but to be more precise we need to be more accurate with the kind of lottery that can offer up to this range because the money involved are enormously big, most if the government backed lottery perfectly work out well on this and it has to be an offline kind of lottery because the amount involved maybe impossible to be transferred to the winner's account except in cash of which I think is also risky.

You cannot compare online lotteries to offline lotteries the numbers are incomparable on offline lotteries there are only a few lotteries in one country or state or town, but in online casinos, there are numbers of online lotteries and they are competing with each other and people trust the physical lotteries than online lotteries because they are more regulated and you can easily get your winning because you can go to their office to claim as we do here in our country, compare to online casinos where they can ignore you and sometimes blames you for cheating.

To be very honest, i do not feel comfortable or trust the physical lotteries also. Among all the gambling games, I feel lotteries is the one which is mostly manipulated by the gambling industry. Also it is easy to gather money from gamblers from lotteries as most of the lotteries require less capital and give high returns.
Due to this, gamblers tend to take the risk and hope they could win a big jackpot by investing very little capital amount.

Sorry I think lottery is not easy to be won because it is highly manipulated. It is not like any blockchain games. The outcome of lottery is biase because of the non transparent manner it is organised. Although they are designed for high returns which makes players to move into it in numbers but they are just consistent losers in lottery and few lucky winners that are looked as compensation.

After taxes — 25 percent to the federal government and 5 percent to her state — she took home $336 million.
Winning lottery is one thing that happens once in a Blue Moon, and one has to be the luckiest person on the face of the planet earth to emerge winner, and just like this 53yrs old health worker, $336million is way too much to carter for his bills for the rest of his/her life.

Yes. I agree with you on this very statement of yours, because thou the amount listed on this thread is huge, never be convinced that if you play you can win the same amount as theirs because the amount you will always lose is greater than what you could ever win, that's only if you are lucky enough to win, as there is no means to which an individual can measure the percentage of his/her chance to winning a lottery.
