What is the difference between copper membership and merit membership

There is nothing like merit membership, once you be Bitcointalk user, you go fit pay shikini money to become a copper member, but na mostly for newbies, and the reason be say: after them pay that small fee them go fit post images, and some restrictions wey they hamper newbies go comot from their account. E no mean say there is a distinction amongst users in the forum, na only ranks they really differentiate users for this forum.

Having said that, every user wey they this forum fit earn merits, e no matter whether you buy copper membership or not. If you be newbie and you wan post image for this forum and lift some newbie related retrictions from your account, you go gats buy (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote) copper membership or wait till you earn merits and rank up, then you go fit post images, plus the other restrictions go comot.

Additionally, is not that your account can't get ban if you compromise getting corper member doesn't mean your account is untouchable or wouldn't undergo same punishment if you violatied any rules.
Newbie account are mostly monitored and can get ban any time if rules are not properly followed.

Another thing I would advise you to do here is that you should take your time to go through each board, read the guidelines, policy and if possible, rules and regulations as well. Reading this would give you an edge on how to go about this platform so you do not default in anyways. So well to take note of how post are done because some poster do give guidelines on how to respond or make contributions to there post so as to get it flowing accordingly. Just as they have explained above for you, you should note that getting merits is not feasible if you do not make contributions and quality post or if possible activities here too could help you scale through to merits award.

Oga Coyster, this your explanation na solid one, I even don understand am wella pass as dem write am here.  I remember when I take start for the forum. I been dey reason say once person buy the copper membership him go just fly go Full Member once until I start to see users be copper member wey get member rank e shock me. I don notice say the majority of users wey dey buy this copper membership na people wey be say dem one do one advert i.e companies wey one promotes organization product or services  .
