Title: Info about Mining Ravencoin (Request) in AMD Rig
Post by: oskoa on January 21, 2023, 02:02:28 AM
Hello. I want mining RVN again (as in 2019 with my 4 GB cards) But i cant now. Idk where is my problem exactly (i think in Driver version)

I already test a lot of miners (NBMiner, RedTeam, BZMiner) And always my rig crash (when start, or after 10 minutes aprox).

My driver version is the last of official AMD page, with settings cards  in compute mode.

My rig is:

x1 RX 480 4 GB (Sapp)
x1 RX 580 4 GB (MSI)
x2 RX 570 8 GB (Asus/Asrock)
x1 RX 6600 8 GB (Sapp)

I use Windows for now (10, 1909)

Ive 35 GB in virtual memory, but only 4 GB for now of RAM (DDR2 Motherboard, with 5 slots PCI-E with 2 powersupplys 750W Seasonic + Gigabyte)

Ive not problemas with Beam/ETC

Thanks.

Yeah it coul be problem with 4gb because rvn dag reached 3.74gb. you are in windows so it can stop before rvn reaches 4gb. You can mine other coins on 4gb and rest mine. I dont have 4gb for testing.

There may be a problem with the RAM buffer overflow on the video card, but this is very easy to check if the monitor is connected to a video card with 8 GB of memory or disconnected for the test 4 GB videocards.Windows only uses the memory of the main video card that the monitor is connected to, there should be no problems with other video cards.

I recommend Hive OS. One mining farm for free.
