While browsing, I thought! Why not check what is the best gambling quote? To my surprise, there was one out of many shown by Google and instantly that quote made me relate to Bitcointalk, the gambling board. Instantly I realized we need a thread wherein we all can post gambling quotes that make a difference and share positivity.

I know many would not agree with it. But, as a gambler, we are adamant about what we do and we know our efforts will someday give us huge profits. I hope every one of us makes something huge. Here is my quote for today!

After watching so many good quotes on this thread I am now going to post the top 3 quotes here. I do not think there is any reason for me to post a quote by me as you gems of this thread have done an absolutely awesome job. I have gone through all the replies and here are the three favorites of mine for this week.

This is my contribution to this thread there are actually lots of good ones but this one is personal and still trying to apply to my gambling session.

I'm surprised that this philosophy already exists in the 17th century I thought, just recently or in our generation where gambling is very rampant.

It seems to be true that he said that gambling is a great attraction that can get into a person, even if he was not interested in gambling before. Everything is because of money. And if it's because of money, everyone must be eager to have it one way or another. But we humans can control ourselves well and it depends on whether we want it or not.

This is a powerful message every gamblers have to learn before or while their games' sessions. Nobody survive for too long in gambling without proper money management, and those who think it's not important, start playing randomly going busted much faster than a responsible gambler who premeditate his steps during the game, potentially going bankrupt and becoming addicted, if they aren't careful and attentive to what they are doing.

I believe some people treat it that way, and I think this is a great positive quote to remind us that it's for entertainment and to have fun and enjoy, not a way to get rich quickly.

This is my best gambling quote and again ops thank you for creating this thread at least this reminds us of some important quotes from histories of great gamblers and philosophers that have made some vital statement.

Here is a quote that I find particularly amusing:

This positive quote reminds me of a situation witnessing local lottery games sometime last week, where the winner was making his acceptance speech, he said and I quote, I have not won anything before and everything I ever hard, I worked hard for it.
This quote goes along with the quote above that money won is sweeter than money earned, but then how long can we depend on luck to give us a desired constant result, I guess your answer is the same as mine.  We have to learn how to manage risk by limiting our level of positivity and dependence on continuous luck, which is not provable for long-term sake, it is good to be positive and lucky but not forget the technicality involved in winning a game from a casino.

I recognize that quote from the movie Dodgeball. A real classic full of great quotes, including this one at the end when Peter made a pretty crazy bet. If you haven’t seen this movie,  it’s a must. Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller are great. As mentioned, it also has a nice gambling twist at the end which produced the quote mentioned above. Worth watching for sure. :)

I had to follow the thread and also do my own Google search and I still wonder why I didn't see anyone in the first page mentions quiting despite been on the first page when searching for gambling quotes? Maybe no wan wants to be associated with quiting but I loved the quote the moment I saw it because I've always told people that he quiting or running doesn't mean you lost or you're weak because he who fights and run lives to fight another day. I am interested in these gambling quotes because they are true in real life. When we try for more opportunities to get something in real life, it can become like a gamble that we don't know whether we can reach or fail halfway. But the more we try and don't give up, we will get chances and bring good luck to our life. So maybe it is better to gamble with something we can reach than gamble in a casino.

I agree with you. The expectation and hope of big winnings is one of the biggest problems of compulsive gambling. The gambler dreams of winning at the casino, but what he doesn't realise is that there are many like him, all dreaming of the same thing. But there is no way for everyone to win. This so common with many gamblers by saying today is a bad luck day. Just say today is a bad day for me.

This is the reality. Everyone couldn't be winners in gambling. Most of us have to lose so others would get their chance to win. Casinos can't sustain to provide winnings for all their players so we have no choice but just to rely on our luck. This is one of the safety rules in gambling so that it will not make you chase your lost  due to your emotional feelings. This will also caution you to gamble wisely and see gambling as fun and not a means of income,because people who see gambling as a means of income ends up been a loser.

A main thing that should have in mind on which "gamble on the amount which you can afford to lose always".You would really be making yourself able to avoid these posibilities on getting wrecked by gambling

There was a newly created topic here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5436863.0/) that I think talks about the same thing. It's about casino funds and the OP questions if the casino is only paying using the funds of other gamblers. I think that was true in the long run when the casino gather a lot of players but if they are only starting then a casino might need to prepare a good amount of capital because what if those few players win huge?

It's pretty painful to stop when you know that you are losing too much so there's a tendency that a gambler will just continue but there are instances that they got lucky and win huge before their balance gets completely depleted. I experience this sometimes and it's much easier for me to quit when this happened.

I know one would have to be very skillful with amazing strategy to be a profitable gambler and when that time comes I would not want to quite because this is profitable making machine and no one will ever stop doing what is giving them consistent profits.

- This quote helps me to have a long game when I was doing gambling, I usually do sports bet and esports bet and I do bet in game that have high reward where I can only lose 1% of my capital but If I won; I can get between 3%-5% gains. Yes you can't risk 500 dollars to get 510 dolls that risk is not worth it, but a situation where by you risk 500 dolls to get at least double the amount of money or more than, then that risk is really worth it.

^I did not find who is the first gambler who said this quote or who established this first or it just random advice that must gamblers should not be ignored. We have repeatedly said here and advice to people, "only gamble what you can afford to lose" this quote will remind gamblers not to become addicted to gambling. I don't have any positive quotes, but as normal guy I often see this as something of highlight in online casinos rather than just gambling. Well, it's nothing, but it certainly has the appeal of why people want to come back to casinos. I think any other normal man out there would spend few seconds looking at this woman. LOL

 Only risk takers become successful I remember I booked a game of 856odds for a friend which he played for 1k naira and I played it for 1 hundred naira the game played and he got 800k and I settled with 80k I couldn't forgive my self cos I had more than that but I was scared.

This is a fantastic quote and I can relate this to my earnings which happens literally sometimes. Whenever it does happen it is tiny and it is still considered as a profit by me.

The thread did not understand it, but after seeing what many users were thinking about this game I like what they want to achieve, I have in my head when I play that the best thing is to win, it doesn't matter if it is little, but when I play and I take out my accounts I see that my final balance is not adequate because I have had more losses than successes, from what I have put money into casino games I have not been able to recover what I have put in, the failure rate is always higher than of winnings, but when I have little winnings, I am very happy, because I know I did something right and I don't continue playing because I have learned that if I continue playing I lose my winnings.

I can relate since the money earned in just a seconed can really make us happier than the money earned in our lifetime. I believe it is so because the money we earned in gambling is unexpected and we have money at stake that doubles the happiness when we won it.  While earning money in jobs is an expected things, reason why it does not trigger the feelings of winning in gambling.

While, I agree and it's true with the said quote but there will be those that will be against on it especially those that don't really gamble. They'll say that someone shouldn't gamble because it's not a way to make profit.

Yeah, I can relate to this but then my confusion is since I have not lived this life before, how will I know that money eearnedin a second will make me happier than money earn in my lifetime? This is true and this is also what makes many people want to try gambling without knowing controlling themselves while gambling and causing many people to become addicted to gambling.

It depends on how everyone can treat gambling properly. If they can do that, gambling is not a problem because they can gamble anytime and stop whenever they want. But the problem is many people are tempted to earn even more money by playing longer. And if that's the case, then gambling is a disease for them, and they should leave it soon before it's too late. Ahahaha!!! You have to forgive yourself and move on. In gambling not every day you win big there are some times you wins small and some days you can win big and that is gambling for you.
Anyone that is not ready to take risk is not gambler himself but a passerby who just like to waste cash because he has many in his account. Gambling is a kind of business people engaged to make profit or loss so there is risk in it.

We should learn from both bad and good experiences.  The thing is, not many people ponder whenever they experience something, thus they never learned from it.  We can only learn if we reflect and think about things that happen, the cause and effect.  Simply experiencing it will never make us understand or learn anything.  It is (learning from experience) by looking at the whole picture and see how things develop while we take action in our experiences.

Positive quotes on gambling is similar to the saying "Being Good Is Better Than Being the Best" Being good means we gamble and we get little winning, but we don't stop it and we continue and wants it be the best. On the way we fail, later we realise we should've stopped earlier believing being good is better than being the best.

Many of these quotes cam help us manage addiction and stick to the little we have so we might not be tempted to go the other way and do the wrong thing. Gaming and gambling is very interesting when you are always a consistent winner, but it is so annoying when you keep becoming the loser.
