Title: Profitable CPU coin?
Post by: judit99 on March 28, 2014, 01:17:40 PM
Need help.

I bought a server with 24 E7 cores. And I want to mine some coins.

Can you guys give me a suggestion which one I should mine?
And which one is the most profitable?

Thanks.

Wondering about similar questions since over month and still wondering heh...
Have 8 rigs with cpus 2-4 cores on each that can be additionally used for little added mining ... currently wondering if not to add them to mine DRK but guess will do test max within days ... then will calculate if its sense/worth ;)

So I am joining the question...

I think that at this moment there is no profitable CPU coin.
Personally i'm mining GroestlCoin because it's CPU friendly but not profitable right now. Maybe in future...
With 20 Mh/s on Groestl I mine around 2000 - 2500 GRS per 24h- its 0,0125 BTC per 24h.

I have idea:

In this topic please post what you mine by CPU ( Coin Name, YourCPU, Mh/s, How much per 24h) Like this:
GroestlCoin, 20*Core2Quad Q8300, 20 Mh/s, 2000GRS

Only one coin comes to mind that is only cpu mine-able, that RIC. But since XPM has a miner, RIC is probably the next prime type coin that going to have a gpu miner.

At the moment, cpu mining isn't profitable unless you got free electricity some how...lol
