I want to do better and make a better contribution to increase the popularity of bitcoins around me. My last attempt to get stickers was not as effective as I felt it would be, so I want to do better.

I received many tips on my previous post about My step to promote bitcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5436712.msg61652183#msg61652183) and how to make it better and have more effective stickers for promotion, thanks to you all, but majorly the two that I picked out are; I could use a better quote for bitcoins in the stickers, and I should attach a QR link to a website that has good information about what bitcoins is, so the sticker can provide more information. I will like to act on these, so I am back to ask.

Suggest a website with good information and helpful resources about bitcoins that can help first time readers.
Suggest a better quote for the stickers. (I will tell them to produce them with different quotes this time).

The best step to promote is to use not to invest and to trade on it all those things are good but the crucial thing to to do is to create a decentralized currency that is free and non governed by anyone we may be quite a way from such a thing. BUT if we use bitcoin for our transaction then there is no better way for a stable bitcoin and soon mainstream. Have in mind that bitcoin at the moment is popular and not mainstream with less than 2% of the word owning it.

Apart from that, the idea you have about stickers is quite good but we need more effective and social media is one of the most effective things. After all, we need a digital thing to spread awareness about digital currency. I am giving you a suggestion. You better go on Facebook and find a community group of your country and post in that group accordingly. Share some photos on your WhatsApp groups and do on.

Unlike us who cannot directly promote because Bitcoin still cannot be fully used as a means of payment.

You can always insert top informative websites which were the “originals” and were the first to create blockchain followed by Bitcoin. That is best way to direct them towards successful bitcoin adoption.

I think spreading link about the bitcointalk forum can also add much of the value to this. I’m not saying this because we love this forum but out of one vital point and that’s Mr Satoshi’s earlier presence in here. That would some interesting content for them to read about.

I think there are some threads which has collected all the posts from Satoshi which can also be linked to this QR thus creating loads of interest in the whole thing. :-)

Truth be told — unfortunately there's little we can do in getting people to actually get genuinely interested in bitcoin. Just like most things, people will only realize the importance of something(bitcoin in this case) when they finally actually need it.

If I remember well, I suggested that you add a better slogan in a prior article. The idea of stickers isn't bad at all when applied to a moving object like an automobile. So many individuals will see the stickers. However, it would be great if the website had an instructive slogan and QR codes. People can look up additional information rapidly. You can select the best quote by asking for a better one here. By the way, I appreciate your efforts to spread the word about Bitcoin.

a slogan for bitcointalk.org that is to be stuck on the back of the car saying  "Join the community, Bitcointalk.org"  the forum is a good source of information. no one would doubt that. Car stickers in the back are very easy to notice by the people inside the next vehicle.

Focus your advertisement on young people. There are more chances they adopt bitcoin than the older generations.

Instead of superficial ads through sitckers, talk to people personally. A direct approach is more likely to turn into success.

Use the interest of each person you talk with in the favour of bitcoin. Let's say the person likes gambling, then talk about crypto casinos. If the person is a merchant, tell him he can import goods paying with bitcoin. If the person is an investor, promote bitcoin as an asset to be held on long run. Always highlight the feature which looks more persuasive depending the situation.

There are many things you could do to better promote Bitcoin in addition to stickers, some ideas could be a site or blog where you explain the basics for newbies or a YouTube channel or podcast, or you could go around promoting this technology perhaps by organizing meetups .  I don't think a sticker can highlight bitcoin.

There are really lots of ways to promote Bitcoin, just as there are lots of ways to promote personal and commercial businesses. You can run a street awareness campaign about Bitcoin by carrying a huge microphone on the street, the same way they preach the word of God. 

Me personally, I am planning on getting an HTML GIF design for my local currency rate calculator, where anyone who visits there will be able to see the ad, and if they click it, it will take them to a detailed write-up about Bitcoin and crypto currency at large. Either the Bitcoin Whitepaper, a YouTube video, or even this forum link were all about Bitcoin being discussed. 

For newbies, they don't need too advanced resources to read.

They must start with something really basics but attractive like how to store bitcoin, how to use it for transactions. They must also know about why one transaction is confirmed shortly within a few blocks and another one has to wait for many hours or days. If they understand it, they understand how Bitcoin network works to confirm transactions and won't be panic when their transactions are stucked on the network by waiting for confirmations from miners in mempools.

A first and very important step to learn is how to store bitcoin very safely, how to secure their wallets. To do this, they must choose good wallet softwares to use.

There's no better place to have a good start that will be more than the bitcoin community platform itself which is bitcointalk.org here where you are right now, all you need is to be patient, read and learn, there are various boards you could use to improve yourself about bitcoin, I don't expect you to embark on teaching others when you yourself is yet to get along with the whole system in bitcoin, because you may be asked a question that will surprised you that you have no idea on the answer to give, but your intention to help with promoting bitcoin is a good idea.

How possibility effective promote Bitcoin trough sticker? this digital era and young generation have been popular with many kinds of social media, I think why not try with modern way for promoting Bitcoin without have use sticker? Better check with your young generation in your placed what most traffic social media used? You can start with promoting Bitcoin trough social media used by them and I think most effective than using sticker and I don't know still left many people interested with old method for promoting.

You made a good point and that is why I always make the call for self inclusion,  let the quest for knowledge be the motivation behind every step taken toward bitcoin and if investment or trading is put forth it may lead to frustration as the individual will get discouraged if the market goes against them there are several things to take note of when it comes to bitcoin awareness which are:
-What is the motivation behind the equation of bitcoin, several others see Bitcoin as a get-rich-quick scheme which is the wrong mentality of the whole concept of bitcoin and its volatilities.
-Bitcoin alternative should be the only reason behind Bitcoin adoption and since bitcoin is not a crcrowdfundingcheme there is no need for printing stickers or what have you.

You should consider too what kind of community you’ve got because your strategy should be tailored specifically on what your community interest. It’s nonsense to do a promotion strategy if your community wasn’t interested at all on what’s you are doing.

In my personal experience, I have a community that involves on business specifically online stores. I promote Bitcoin through giving special discounts on my products when they use Bitcoin. I don’t use fancy advertisements but the discount itself will make my community curious on Bitcoin because I give importance on it. So far I have 3 friends that I’m teaching and using Bitcoin right after they become interested on why I give huge discounts for accepting Bitcoin as payment.  :D

You have been given some information on the websites that can help people who look at the back of your sticker for easy access to bitcoin knowledge by mk4 and others,so I will like you to put that link there. You could also put this forum website there,for easy access for any interested person to join the forum. You are doing a great job to put effort to make sure that your locality gets the awareness of bitcoin for easy adoption. It will also help if you can have a one on one conversation on bitcoin discussion with people in your locality not only stickers because some people might not have time to access the internet but when you do it orally,I guess those set of people might pick up interest in bitcoin.

This is going to be nice you want to promote the adoption and awareness of bitcoin in your locality. Looking at what you have said here and opinions profered, that step would be a good one because that create curiosity from the audience or people to knowing what the bitcoin on the sticker is all about. People would want to know more and it would make the do research on what bitcoin is then they would get insight of the bitcoin movement. I am planning to do a bitcoin promotion in my own way but I would also seek the advise of senior forum members here so I could get a better guidelines on how to go about it so as not to make any mistake.

You've done well I read your previous post and I was impressed. For a good website to get access to information and helpful tips about bitcoin for first time users I think this forum is one of the best out there. I always advice newbies to use the search bar. I bet you would find whatever you looking for here. As already suggested, consider using quotes from users of the forum. I know it will take a lot of work but in the end, it will be worth it. You did a good job the first time, I’m glad you want to improve on it and do better. Sharing stickers to transporters can only reach a limited target, commuters are generally more focused on getting to their destination. Most people on a train or cab are either reading the newspaper, headphones on, or busy on their mobile phones…they barely pay attention to anything else. I suggest you try a different method of approach, in this day and age the most effective advertising is through social media platforms.
