The current state of Nigeria education is very alarming. The educational sector needs revamp, the system is messed up, decaying and backward in every aspect. ASUU threatening strike, government yet to meet up with ASUU negotiation, no teachers and lecturer promotion for years, no salary increment. How do they want the teachers and lecturers to be comfortable teaching. Check out the last strike took almost 1year before it was called off. Reason the delay, time and frustration meted on students which is not proper hence students finding their way abroad to study making Nigeria to loose both manpower and resources to other nations of the world. And another thing is this, after finishing your higher education, getting a job is another prayer point waiting for answers. May God help us in this country.

The Educational system in Nigeria is coin from the book called the Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire. Where banking education is giving to the scholars and liberal education is going to Europe. Nigerian education system is bad because the government is bad. The only time African leaders will realize themselves and restructure Africa is the only time they would decline world bank policies in the continent. Public and Private Partnership (PPP) is one of the policies that is killing African economy and this has made many governors to sacked their workers before they are trying to reduce the work force. UBA (Universal Basic Education) is one of the policies from World Bank. If a country want to develop then they should work on the Education system then other departments will be fine and okay. Asuu case can only be solved with and educated and committed leaders

Yes God should truly help this nation. Nigeria educational system is fvcked up and this is not even a problem the government are looking into as they are the ones even making life unbearable for its citizens. Imagine you going for a four year course in school then you later finished up in 7year times due to delay and strikes taken by the educational bodies. Nigerian are excelling elsewhere in the world in every sector of life and this is very bad for the growth of the nation, imagine the world today, most top doctors and nurses are from Nigeria but have chosen to go elsewhere to practice their work due to the fucked up system they have in the country.

The current state of Nigeria educational system is completely zero, no. One no increasement of salary to teachers and lecturers,
No. two no promotion to teachers and lecturers,
No. Three, the salary that they have been receiving is no more coming always but often.

Come to students side strike has taken over, student that suppose to graduate in 4years will now graduate in 7-8years where are we going to?
The last and final bus stop, after all the suffer and delay no job, the person will start affresh, looking for what to do so that he/she will solvive, but I know that God will bless us in this country.

True talk, na only God we fit go pray to take control of Nigeria education because all this education system of Nigeria no dey forward as it was plan before oo, every time ASUU strike and some days you will hear the strike of lecturers again, seriously this issue dey really affect youth education, person wey go spend like 4 or 5 years study will spend Seven years to study and government no fit pay the debt of ASUU finish because as I heard the debt is about billion of naira, so I don't think our government go pay the money, not that they do not have it, is just that their selfishness and greediness will not allow them to do such.

So here's the catch, dem dey pay this people wey dey for the head so much that they can afford to send their children to school outside the country and not care if things are been done right over here. I think so reduction in what the heads if this unions earn will go a long way in combating this fight against how the education sector is been treated in the country.

Make dem elect normal citizens like schools teacher dem and normal university lectures and not making the whole thing a ground for people to lobby their way in to the top so dem fit dey chop the money meant to better the educational sectors. Too much glorification is given to this offices and they're now like political officers.

We get a very long way to go, and until this people holding this offices are been affected by the decisions they take then we never ready to move forward for this country. Make dem make am a must say before you take any educational position, your pikin has to be schooling in the country or you forget about that position. If this is implemented, then dem go dey truely fight for the students and not this lies they spread everytime.

There are 4 major scams/Scammers in Nigeria;
1. Education
2. Pastors
3. Banks
4. Government and/or Politicians.
If you understand this, you will solve some percentages of your problem.

Lol,everybody don see now say education na scam for the country.One go finish akada without getting jobs even if him carry the best degree comot for school,and because we don see say job no dey,people don dey find wetin go give dem joy and money,nai make Naija don turn street.Everybody don dey survive on street.Everybody dey find wetin go make their story change cus people don too suffer,poverty and hunger dey,e come make some persons involve in robbery,even the ones wey go akada no get any choice again but to join bad gangs.we no fit complain again cos everybody dey find him belle.Nigerian educational system don cast.

As you see this acada matter so, e don dagbaru tey tey sotey the acada dey ask question about the credibility of the system. Our leaders don fail for that sector Dem no send education at all as e be say their children no dey school for Nigeria. All of Dem children dey abroad dey do their things so nothing dey bother them at all. Me I for like make Nigerians agitate make our national house put am for law say make all elected officials, appointees, senior government officials, make all of them do everything for Naija here make non of them travel abroad say Dem want to go do anything until their tenure elapse so that Dem too go feel the heat wey Dem no gather for Naija. Na as e b say  these types of laws no dey naim make Dem dey do anyhow for we country Naija. Make Dem pass this law into existence them make we see wether the system no go dey good.

The state wey our country education de na only God fit help us. Imagine say you plan to finish your four years course at the age of 23-24, but ASSU strike go hold you 4 school for more than two years which means say you go graduate above 25 years, weting they vex me be say, if you wan apply work, them go tell you say if you they above 25 years make you no apply meanwhile na strike keep you for school pass that 25 years.

That kind law for sure pass for Nigerians and e for good for common people because hospitals and health centres for dey standard. But the law itself dey against human rights and freedom of association and movement. A democratic nation no fit sign that kind law, na country like Russia or Korea dem go fit sign this kind law. And the democracy we dey operate follow dey spoil the system.

Truly educational system of nowadays is being compromised coupled with bad government. My question is, can the educational system still function very fine after we change governance or have good leaders?
Most at times we tends to pour out everything to poor governance but deep insidely the students are also another major problems to be talking thereof. Why because we have lazy students who don't want to be useful to their lives rather wanting an easy way schooling without going through due process of academic.
How can a class of 200 students only 100 active and yet missing 100 are found to be graduating with distinction and first class, even with upper credits while those who burn candles day and night reading manage to come out with 2nd class and Pass. Do we still blame government or bad leaders at this point?

Please I would love some advance people to answer my question.

See Buhari, na malu school e go which is a military school,na e make e no send Nigeria education system at all because e no pass through quality education. Nigeria government turn everything into politics,forgetting say e get some key sectors wey them no suppose gamble with. The Nigeria system of education is completely down to the core,and I keep on putting the blame on our leaders, because they have taken the poor mases for granted why because their children are in abroad enjoying the good and well organized systems of government over there, and t,and their fathers who we call our leaders are here joking with the future of the poor mases,who can not be able to travel to abroad to acquire knowledge.. can't you see how All of them are investing there in overseas because there in overseas their system of government is very good and alot of things moving well the leaders are leading well...

Recently we see post wey dey trend for social media.  A girl wey graduate for Federal polytechnic Nekeke, thanked her pussy for making her graduate with good grades. Then then school Authority come dey find her to probe her and retrieve her certificate.
But the real loko be say na the real tal the girl talk. More than 70% of girls wey dey University are under the mercy of lecturers who sleep with them and dump them at will
.

Na only God wey fit help Nigeria students, because most times wetin student dey use their eyes dey see their mouth no dey fit talk am, e really get as Nigeria educational system be, the government its self go Make things hard, no work and money yet Schools go dey charge big big money for school fees and other school neccesities, if student no fit meet up to pay now boom e go turn to ASUU strike, lecturers go run go strike forgetting say e go really affect students.

Course wey person suppose do for four years (4) go automatically extend to 6 or 7 years, because anytime wey ASUU go strike e must reach a year or two before them go call of the strike,

Government officials wey dey really cause this ASUU strike for students in Nigeria, their own children no dey school for Nigeria oo, Dem dey send their children go school for abroad, nothing like strike dey affect their children.

When their children don study for abroad finish come graduate,na so Dem go find better better jobs give their children to do, na God go help us because e really dey painful.....

Although as a matured man, you supposed get self control and know how to say no to some kind things especially anyone wey go spoil your reputation but you see this gals, majority na dem dey throw their body to this lecturers. Dem go purposely no read and study instead them go go flex life and do hookups to generate money to use oppress their follow students then results to sleeping with the lecturers for good grade. That gal wey do that thing been just wan trend as e dun become normal things this days to dey write rubbish on the day of last papers for cloth.

If I dey incharge of the school wey dat gal dey graduate from, I go use that gal set an example so others will be mindful if how they portray the image of their institution.. We need to dey discourage some disgusting things when we see am. Wetin dat gal dey teach children wey go see her. We supposed to dey nourish the younger generation and not poisoning them.

I saw this particular video and news trending on social media. It is a pity that it has gone far beyond this as this is just the surface we hear and see. The lady said  she did it and it is true. I heard the school vice Chancellor has placed a bounty of five hundred thousand naira on her head for any body that knows her whereabouts. If  eventually she presents herself for further questioning, she should not be penalized alone, her accomplice should also be penalized because they knew it was against their professional ethics as lecturers and therefore should have known what to do as lecturers but they went ahead to eat the meat without caution and the reasoning that it was their student they are messing themselves up with all in the name of grade and cash.

The extent to which young people go to become trending is appalling. It’s a pity the state at which our society has decline, we have lost our core values trying to look western. A woman’s sexual life isn’t something to be made public, it’s an alien thing to do. “Virginity is a virtue” has become a thing of the past. Our parents have become loose with the rod, that’s why society is falling apart

This has nothing to do with President Buhari neither does it have any thing to do with APC.  Before their rulership, all these things have been ongoing and has no remedy and solution  so therefore calling the president would not solve the problem but we fixing it up from our own sides matter and it would go a long way to cushion so effects it already has on the society. Until we learn how to do away with political sentiments ,Nigeria would  still remain so.

The state of Nigerian education is nothing to write home about and the major cause is our politicians. The don't care about the common man's child as they can afford whatever amount to send their wards to the best private schools and universities anywhere in the country and abroad. So if ASUU strikes for 2 years they don't give a damn as long as they are not affected in any way, they are good with it. Most of our public school are not conducive for learning as some students lack the necessary basic materials like chairs, desks, to sit and write on while in some part of the country they don't have classrooms but sit under tress. Education is the bedrock of every society and our government needs to do more to improve our learning environment and come up with a better welfare packages for our teachers and lecturers.

The educational system in Nigeria is wholly dysfunctional, and I keep blaming our leaders because they have taken advantage of the underprivileged while their children are abroad enjoying the good and well-organized governments of other nations while their fathers the people we refer to as our leaders—are here laughing at the expense of the underprivileged who will never have the opportunity to study abroad. Do you not recognize how they are all making investments in themselves?

The government is not proactive in educational matters in the country. They are less concerned in any thing education because they no feelings and sympathy for the less privileged. They are doing this forgetting that they were made by this same system they are neglecting now. They passed through the same process which made them who they are today. Some of them were product of public schools and scholarships from the same government they are piloting affairs of today. They are less concerned now because they have embezzled from the system that made them, they have sent their children abroad to study in the best schools in the world with quality and sound educational apparatus. They do not want the poor to be better than them because of the fear of revolution. So they always want to be at the top of everything but I assure them that their is always expiration date for a commodity.

Our politicians have really failed in all aspects of governance in Nigeria simply because none of their children is here with us they only came to Nigeria for vacation and left after small period of time, even the teachers and lecturers are being less paid even the small token they are giving them I'm not being paid on time, this has really affected our educational system I pray God will bring a revolution in Nigeria.

Nigerian educational system means nothing to our political class because none of your children is studying in any of Nigerian tertiary institution, what they know is to collect bogus salaries and keep the masses in abject poverty I really pray God will help situation in Nigeria on the other hand "we" the young people have a very vital role to play in order to make our dream country comes through. Please election is at hand let us get involved and vote out the political monsters

In this present world,especially Nigeria our country, Certificate is no longer seen as anything,gone  are those days of our father where the moment you finish your secondary education,you are very sure that a job is already guanteed for you.All you needed to do then as an individual was to just try to go to school,and live the rest for government,but now,the reverse is the case,due to the high rate of populated individuals availabe ,it makes it hard for one to get a suitable job that fits,and therefore,it makes us remain in economy

I was told by my father that those days, as soon as you are done with your youth service, you automatically get employed by the government or any company in your district but these days the story is not the same. Gone are the days when such  juicy opportunity are given free of charge to citizens, if you must get it that way, you must fight your way through or if at all you have a godfather in politics to sign for you then you are good to go. After years of education, money spent to aquire your school degree through learning and lots more, you end up roaming around the streets in search of greener pastures. This is a big error. Even the academic system itself is on the verge of collapsing, being neglected by the government and poorly funded. As OP has stated truly " May God help us"
