I will not be entering the competition but here an example of how you should make your entry:

Step One: Newcastle United  
Step Two: Penalties  
Step Three: 6-6  
Step Four: 2  
Step Five: 0

For example, if Manchester United win I receive zero points. If the game ends at full time/90 minutes or in extra time I receive zero points. If the correct score at full time was not 6-6 I receive zero points. If there were 2 yellow cards at full time / 90 minutes I receive 2 points. If there were zero red cards at  full time / 90 minutes I receive 1 point. With all the points counted, I am on 3 points.

At the end of the count, if you have more points than any other entrant you will win $25 courtesy of Utopia. If there is more than winner because the points are equal, the one with the most correct guesses (from the five above) will win. In the event there is a tie, the prize will be split equally.

The game will kick-off at 4.30pm. Entries will be accepted in to the competition as long as the thread remains unlocked or if for unforeseen circumstances it is not possible to do so then entries after 1pm on 26th February 2023 will not be accepted. I intend to unlock the thread after the game has been played and when I am ready to publish the details of the winner.

If you win, in order to claim your winnings please post your BTC receiving address after the competition has ended. Utopia have already transferred the $25 in BTC to me, I am holding the funds and I will send them to the winner.


Please Note:
i) This is supposed to be a free competition for fun and light entertainment, if you have ulterior motives you are not welcome in this thread and your posts will be deleted. Only one entry per member. Duplicate applications will result in removal/exclusion from the free competition

ii) This is a free competition open to all ranks. I am even willing to allow some newbies to apply. If you have received negative trust (or neutral trust with negative connotations) from me, your entry will be rejected. If you received negative trust from other members you can still apply and your application will be looked at and a decision made after that

iii) If you are on my ignore list or if you are a troll or attention-seeker or simply an obnoxious presence in the forum or in my opinion untrustworthy or if you are someone promoting scams, I reserve the right to refuse your entry

iv) All spam and nonsensical posts will be deleted in order to keep this thread on-topic

Please note, for Step Two if you select Extra Time then Step Three must be a draw such as 0-0 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 5-5 6-6 etc because the Full Time / 90 minutes score must be a draw otherwise Extra Time cannot take place.

It was a pleasure to organise another free competition. This time rather than participants simply picking a number to enter I made it a little different as I wanted you all to think about how to get the maximum points when the Carabao Cup final ends on 26th February 2023.

By far the majority here seem to think Manchester United will win and I tend to agree. Newcastle United will play well and try hard but overall I think Manchester United will lift the trophy.
