Title: Cgminer temp-cutoff trouble,help needed
Post by: sameev29 on March 28, 2014, 02:18:50 PM
I have the temp-cutoff set to 85 for my Sapphire 280x dual-x oc.As its summer the temperature reaches 85 quite sometimes. When it happens the miner keeps running and detects new blocks but doesnt mine,no accepts.

Is there any command or other way to make it start mining again after the temperature goes down?

That's the proper behaviour as safety precaution

You should have for example --gpu-engine 500-1050 to allow thermal throttling, and maybe --auto-gpu --gpu-fan 60-90 --temp-overheat 78

Or use Cgwatcher to restart cgminer.

But if it reaches 85, you must really do something more to prevent it, like further undervolt or a large fan
