OHHH WOW. Slightly suspicious. Funded in 2023 but holo not marked BF. Top coin has serial 155 but 25 litecoin also has a 155 on top of holo. I have never seen a red first bit or these coins gilted. Possibly fakes created? coins gold plated after the fact with fake holograms? Luckily the creator and expert is on the forum currently. I suspect an answer coming shortly. Cant wait to get the details.

Smoothie has been known to sell releases to only certain customers FYI. Not saying they're real but they certainly could be. 🤷‍♂️

By that I mean when you buy them you basically sign an NDA of sorts as well.

Remember the four coin monero sets? That's how those were sold as well.

The holograms look pretty good plus they have the new laser markings around the edge so I would lean towards legit. It would be interesting to know why the new text colour.

I imagine these are akin to the late-funded Casascius coins...
But to have them pop up after 10 years is quite surprising.
Does this mean all the coins from 2013 were not released/sold?....More so, this is serial #155 for both coins and we have seen higher serials for both

Also, both coins have had their number/address engraved around the rim which was not a feature of the original releases in 2013

My complete pie-in-the-sky guess is that they're a special 10 year anniversary edition made for a VIP client to celebrate chinese new year.

Ohhh i see now the laser etching. Yes probably legit. Since they were just loaded and not marked BF. They are probably his coins. Special auction incoming???

Lovely coins for sure....never seen them before.....where and what does Smoothie say about these?

I am quite sure he can fill in the gaps on the info about these incredible looking coins!

This I know for a fact.  If you have an "in" with Smoothie you at least have some ability to still pick up some older offers.  These new ones look pretty epic.

Any idea who the owner might be of these recently graded PCGS examples?

It’s funny why Smoothie wouldn’t even comment here even though he is the maker for the coins in question..

Personally I'm not surprised. He's a private person, and I am also wondering if someone else commissioned him to do the gilt ones. As for the pennies being on there already Yes that is kind of fucked up, but again it's none of our business really anyhow,, and now that I think about it maybe he has some deal where he hasn't even sent those in yet due to the auction time ending. Fuck who knows lol.. I give up..

It's going to be an interesting auction for sure! 😂

These look crazy but good.
Makes me anticipate the new silver releases and the corresponding gilt coins even more - Generally I am not too interested in fully gilt coins, but looking at these pictures may have changed my mind.

On a side note: I find any "unlisted super secret cool on the side special project for special people" a bit annoying. But maybe I am just jealous.

I understand, but you also have to consider the fact that Smoothie has many "not active forum members" who buy his stuff right up, and have been for MANY years .. If you are longtime buyer, you get leads first ofc... Let's just be happy he's still making coins after 10 years! :P

Personally, why bother being jealous or mad? If I had been in the professional coin making business for 10 years like him, I'd certainly be doing the same - F, he probably has his own mint and hologram machine by now LOL

Some beautiful coins right there. If PCGS graded them than there is no question to their validity. Did smoothie reply on this thread? (too lazy to scroll through and read them all rn haahah)
