My favorite sportsbook is Stake.com.
And the reason is not because I am wearing their signature, but because, like the first option said, stake is one of the most reputable casino platform that have been around for quite some time, they have all the licenses required to operate as a gambling casino, even in the USA where citizens are prohibited from gambling on foreign casinos.
Stake have a lot of great Partnerships, which further proves their credibility and further add to their already good reputation.
They offer a wide range of sports to bet on.
I personally do not care much about interface, but stake got one of the best when it come to interface and user experience.
Competitive odds, bonuses and promotions are things I don't care very much about as well, but stake still make all this available to their users.
Stake is simply one of the best casinos I've come across so far.

Same is my opinion. Apart from Stake I've used sportsbet, which is good to use. These days we can't term this is best and that isn't, because different users have different expectations and go with different platforms. In my experience I've been used to Stake mostly for my casino games and the same makes me use it for sportsbook and I haven't encountered any issues using it.

Will say I too LIKED their sportsbook
lost a bunch at first but then had a really good day and turned my account from a loser to a nice profit...but then they froze my account, asked for documents which i provided, unfroze my account and limited my bets to $1.

From your 5 categories above, all of them you can find in Duelbits. What I like in this sports book because they have an odds boost promotion where you can take advantage to make more money among other bookies. It's really worth to try because I've won for multiple times when bet on the odds boost promotion. Of course you need to know the sports and not blindly random put your money in that's betting option.

Presently, I use Bet365 and Duelbits as my sportsbook, the two are my favourites since they have proven themselves to be worthy of my trust. Trust is my own factor of selection, and Bet365 gained it over a decade ago since I've been betting on their platform. And recently, Duelbits gained my trust as well and they are living up to my expectations.

Bonuses have never been my thing, I learned to be using my own money to do all my betting due to the terms and conditions attached to bonuses and gambling offers.

Sportsbet and stake are my go-tos whenever I want to gamble on sports. I don't really have that big of a requirement, just an active support team and a good reputation since there are countless sportsbooks out there already might as well go for the reputable ones. My favorite bookmakers is betfair, because it's one of the only place where I can bet directly against other people and "create" even my bet/odd. I know there are other "exchange" betting sites but they don't have the same wide offer of bets / enough liquidity on the market.

To be honest, don’t chase for favourites, go for trusted and old sportsbooks. Go for sportsbooks that is reputed and pays to their gamblers. Else if you go for design and flexibility, and at last if the sportsbook refuses to pay, then nothing can be done. According to me , the best sportsbook currently available is Stake.com, I have been playing there since its launch, and honestly I didn’t face any troubles or issues from them till now. If I am going to choose my favorite sportsbook with your factors there, I would be basing it on the bonuses and promotions mostly. I'm not betting and gambling all the time, so I would like to take full advantage of my deposit to make use of the capital I allotted for gambling at its fullest. The other stuff would come from the competitive odds, but that's just for me.

Stake. Not to be biased but they really are offering good service to their players. Well, you'd sometimes see complaints towarda it but most of the time there are no proofs for their acusations. Also, problems are being discussed on their thread especially if it is proven legitimate and as far as I know, they are quickly reaponding to it with a solution. Also, it won't be reputable if there are issues often. So I think it would be okay sharing it to other gamblers out there. I am still playing at other gambling sites for other sort of gambling games. Also, I am not saying that I'd stay on their platform forever. Ofcourse if there's something better you are free to do so.

I have tried some sportsbooks in this forum. Not because now I also promote one of the sportsbooks, but as long as I bet, Duelbits and stakes are the most impressive for me. Most sportsbooks will provide promotions such as deposits and alternative coins that are quite a lot to make it easier. But for me, a simple appearance and not hurting the eyes are what makes me comfortable using them. If asked a Duelbits or Stake, both are good, but Stake is cool.

Are they making progress in operating legally in the US? Is there any news about that? Because as can be seen on their Licenses (https://stake.com/licenses) page, they clearly say "No US Bets" and that the IPs are blocked if someone uses the site from around there. But I heard that Stake is not strict about using VPNs to access their services.

Apart from Drake, they've also extended their partnership with UFC recently. So that probably brings in more hype and more gamblers for the platform.

They never became favorite if they are not reputable and showing some bad issues here. Much better word used with that is never base on someones favorite especially if they where a signature and they point out that this is the best since there will always be a bias with that because they are promoting casino.

As @Peeps Place mentioned above, it isn't advisable for US citizens to try to use VPNs in order to gamble on Stake since I heard a couple of bad stories related to such stuff. It's better to stick to popular FIAT books instead.

Betfair isn't open to all countries and Pinnacle requires KYC though both are great recommendations. Also, Cloudbet isn't completely trustworthy due to some negative accusations against them.

Never had a problem in years up until now. Mostly just in UI or those that can easily be fixed because it's a problem at their end.
But, when it comes to money-related bad experiences, I never once had a problem with them. Withdrawals and deposits in different cryptocurrencies are all going smoothly.
