Title: P2P in Portugal
Post by: Yellowtommhe on February 23, 2023, 02:35:43 PM
Is there any local p2p site / group?

I am looking for a small trade selling btc for cash or mbway cash code in Porto. Unfortunateley I put myself in a little dumb situation and need to get like 50€ in cash to get by for a few days.
If anyone would be so kind to help me out with a quick trade, you can find the listing on agoradesk and localcoinswap as well.

Thank you.

/edit luckily this is not needed anymore but damn p2p especially locally seems absolute dead.

AFAIK, @joker_josue is the only Portuguese active here. Sadly, the board hasn't gotten a lot of love in some time. :P

Sorry for not replying sooner. This weekend I was sick, and that's why I came to the forum very few times.
The Portuguese market is not very famous in P2P for almost 8 years. Since most BTC holders are very suspicious.

I'm not from Porto either, so it wouldn't be easy to help. But maybe the MB Way could...

Either way, if you need help again, come back to the forum.

This is not the best board for p2p.

You should visit this board. Currency exchange.

Note: this board is portuguese only.

Thank you for the replys, if I need something again I know where to look.

Oh and my apologies for writing the initial topic in english I just thought that would be better than my 17 words of portuguese or google translate :P

Although this the chances are very slim, you can use the option "face to face[1]" in Bisq[2] to see if any offer is being made around Porto (but I don't they will appear there sadly). So far I was only able to find an offer selling bitcoin for cash (F2F) in Lisbon through localcoinswap[3], but it appears you aren't located there as of now. But if you do consider going there perhaps consider buying a relative large amount to prevent such circumstances in the future? The minimum amount the seller is asking is 250€ while asking for a 10% above market prices.

While in the subject for P2P, yesterday there was a meetup in Lisbon[1] where anyone would be able to exchange bitcoin for cash. I'm also aware that they promoted a meeting of Peach Bitcoin app wallet[2] which recently opened up their thread here on bitcointalk[3]. They will probably do it again in a couple of weeks, so I guess that the best thing to do is keep a track on their meetings and prepare for those sweet P2P trades, just like Satoshi envisioned.
