Title: [ADVICE] Moving a little of the college fund into Goldcoin (GLD)
Post by: wallstreetcoiner on March 28, 2014, 02:56:01 PM
After during my due diligence I decided to store away 100K Goldcoins on a paper wallet in my safe for my 10-year-old son's college. I know it's a risk but compared to bitcoin it seems like better odds of getting his education paid up with $1000.

Maybe I should buy 3 or 4 more coins instead of having all my eggs in a single basket. Can you guys recommend some other coins that I might want to look at and why?

You'd extract more value out of that $1000 by spending it on strippers and blow than what you're currently doing with it.

Only 1-2 coins max per PoW hashing algorithm will survive.

hint:  it won't be goldcoin

That's a horrible plan op. You would have way better odds if you took the money and bought lottery tickets with it.

GoldCoin is a good choice but I'd spread out over a few coins if your going to invest that much.

Alternatively, contributing to the gold coin community would increase chances of success!

Goldcoin? Odd choice. Just wondering why you would possibly choose that one.

You'd be better off just buying real gold coins. Or as stated already, lottery tickets.

Putting most of your money on safer coins, like BTC and LTC, and some in riskier coins like GLD, would be a way better strategy.
Plus it's a great time to buy right now.

Perhaps you should do a bit more research about GoldCoin. And I have a feeling this might be another MicroGuy pump account anyway.

Great Article by Hazard: http://cryptolife.net/goldcoin-the-scam-that-keeps-on-giving/

GLD GoldCoin SCAM COIN | 7,000,000 Coins premined!!!!!!!: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211416.0

Should GLD be added to the scam/sh*tcoin list?: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348057.0

Has always been some fishy stuff going on around GoldCoin. I too first thought it would be a great coin to get into.

Dude, only one coin is nuts. In fact most altcoins are nuts, but if you are going to go with it I'd say BTC, LTC, DRK.

OP: If there is something out there, other than drugs, that you should say "no" to, it is this.

I would love to see some of this 'due diligence' that led you to deciding on GLDcoin ?

This sounds about right to me. I'd go BTC, LTC, and GLD.

You can always look at 2-year tech school programs if this doesn't pan out.
