Title: Willing to invest on bitcoin but having some challenges.
Post by: rachael9385 on February 28, 2023, 09:31:09 PM
Good evening everyone, here in my place the time is 22:33 pm.
I want to share about the position I am in right now.

I live in an iland called MINAMA, over here there is no electricity, major road, or boreholes we all use the water from the river and it's affecting us, but that's not my problem,  my problem is I'm not always online on this forum because there is no light and no were to charge my cellphone so I always manage my battery. The only place am charging my phone is my neighbor's place, now am tired of going there to charge my cellphone, so what will I do so I can be more available on this forum?
I managed to post this thread because I traveled, we normally use canoe 🛶 to go to the market or traveling
Ever since I join this forum I have learned a lot about bitcoin and how people become rich through bitcoin investment, I am very much interested in bitcoin investment and I am willing to invest no matter the risk.

Earn some money and invest in your own solar panels so you can charge your devices? How are you connecting to the internet when you do not have electricity is it by satellite? I think buying your own solar panels and have them top up a battery during the day and them charge your devices over night should help with your problems. Browsing and posting on the forum does not use much battery and you should be able to get multiple days out of 1 charge if you do not use it for any thing else.

You have to be patient, friend, hopefully in the future you will get good facilities related to electricity.

looks like you have to buy solar panels, or you can also search the internet about how to make electricity.

Why do you necessarily need to be online on Bitcointalk all the time though? If you want to learn, you could also save some articles offline so you could read them even without internet connection.

It is nice you have such passion for learning and knowing more about bitcoin but the challenges you have mentioned is nothing to be bothered about. It does no necessarily mean that you must be online everyday to follow up or to learn about bitcoin. You can still learn offline if you do not mind. If you can, go get a power bank for yourself so you could charge it when you go out so it can serve as a backup for you or if you have the money for solar just as the poster above have said, you can install it then use it to power your phone but however, you can still learn about bitcoin offline by downloading of articles, manuals etc so you can learn by reading them. You are free to download from the links as presented to you by the other  poster.

I am very much interested in bitcoin investment and I am willing to invest no the risk.
Any investment, not only limited to Bitcoin, has carry some risk even it's very low. Bitcoin is considered as a high risk investment because no one can control it, available to trade for 24/7, etc the good thing is, there's no manipulation. So if you think Bitcoin has no risk and you will always make profit everyday, you're wrong, it's what's ponzi scheme offer where they promise fake 1% return per day.

You only need to learn about the difference between Bitcoin and fiat with bank, non custodial wallet and how to use an exchange to start your journey.

Can't you copy what your neighbor did for your electricity problem? If the reason why you can't do that is a lack of money, then there is no other option other than to look for jobs and save some money so that you can have access to electricity on your own. It is surprising that there is still a place not covered by electricity, considering that you have access to a phone.

As for your investment question, a lack of internet access is not really what you should focus on right now. Try to search and research if trading Bitcoin is allowed in your area, if there is any P2P market, and so on. This will help you can decide how you will buy your first coins. Don't try to hurry and buy from some random guy on the internet just because they offer cheap prices, there are tons of scammers online. No need to rush, especially if you don't have the means to do so.

Your will is really driving you to learn more. It must be difficult for you, but I am shocked that you've found bitcoin and are starting to learn from it, even if you are in a remote area. What I've suggested to you is that you download a pdf about Bitcoin by searching on Google, as it can save you more battery than always opening your internet. Try to read it. Though I know you want to access the forum to learn, it is difficult in your situation. You can just browse the forum when you have internet access, so make it count. read as much of the thread.

Well well well, if I had the required funds, I'd visit your country and would have made a great documentary.

"Just imagine a girl with her family/ friends on a canoe traversing a river to reach the market/ town in order to engage with an online bitcoin community to learn more and express her feelings about bitcoin.

I'd say 3 million $ should be enough to build some infrastructures for power supply, cellphone reception, healthy drinkable water etc, and opening a local coffee-net providing all bitcoin related services to the people of a village far far away." What an impact on a global scale it could have! Alas no hearing ears.🤔

There are a lot of ways to learn. If you want to learn you will always find ways. The best example for your case is you can download some lessons like videos/articles/e-books so that will be available offline, using less internet could help to save more of your battery.

About Bitcoin, since you are beginning, it's tough early. But if you are just consistent and dedicated it is really fun to learn how Bitcoin works or what really Bitcoin is. It's really high advisable to learn the basics first, read, listen, and watch lessons on Bitcoin, it will help.

It is surprising that there is still a place not covered by electricity, considering that you have access to a phone.

In my country, there are many areas that still do not have electricity. The area where my grandmother lives is also in a remote location, and there isn't yet any electricity. Every time I visit my grandmother, I have a lot of trouble without electricity, but everyone's solution is to use an electric battery. If we rarely use it and only use it to charge the phone and use it for emergencies, it can be used for 5 days before bringing it to the market to charge. If solar panels are expensive, OP can also think of a electric battery solution.

What exactly do you want to get? Want to know more about Bitcoin? or how to get rich quickly from Bitcoin? If the main target is to learn a lot about Bitcoin then the suggestions above are enough to answer your question and have provided a solution for those of you who are having difficulties with electricity and an internet connection, but if the purpose of knowing about Bitcoin is because you want to get rich quickly then you already got the wrong information and hopefully you don't get the information from the closest people who have also been involved in this forum because it's misleading information especially if you don't want to take risk it then it's impossible.

Hey buddy hope you are having a great journey here on the forum, and I see you have the assumption of people being always online out here on the forum.. It doesn't need to be this way, you have a life and need to live a little in real life away from your screen!

In the case of your power management you could consider getting a powerbank as a temporary solution or go the solar way if resources allow.

The only place am charging my phone is my neighbor's place, now am tired of going there to charge my cellphone, so what will I do so I can be more available on this forum?
It's no requirement that you need to be always online unless you are comfortable with it and like I said a few lines above, invest in some backup power.. A powerbank for a start say 10000mah power bank.

Ever since I join this forum I have learned a lot about bitcoin and how people become rich through bitcoin investment
Just do you know not everyone is crypto rich, don't let those texts put you on a path of high expectations be content with what you have for now, Btw just like any investment in any industry it takes money to make money and bitcoin isn't any different.

Keep some money in order for you to buy some solar panels. You said that you don't have electricity right? At least save some money for that so that you will not get tired of going there just to charge your phone. I guess that's the first step for you to be more online in the forum. I will not suggesting this one, but I'm thinking that you might want to find a new home where there's electricity or at least you will have more access to your daily necessities such as water, food, electricity etc.

You're only looking at the positive side of investing.

Take note that in investing, there are investors who are becoming rich, but at the same time, there are people who are becoming poor because of investing in Cryptocurrency.

You said that you learned a lot about Bitcoin already. Why don't you just buy Bitcoin, store it on a hardware wallet and just keep it. You said that you are only using phone to access the forum right so I assume that you don't have any computer at all. I don't know if there are some trusted mobile wallets right now where you can just store it there. Maybe Trustwallet can be a good temporary storage of your coins.

What more do you want? You want to learn more? Just browse this forum or try researching or watching videos on Youtube. I'm thinking you don't have the buying power to buy Bitcoin am I right?

How have you been making money so far? If you can earn through work, you can set aside a small amount of your salary to buy bitcoins when you are off the island, in places that provide internet, or at your friend's house.

This is a challenge for you and I'm sure you can try to beat that challenge to get a better future. Don't make this an obstacle; instead, this is the path you must go through because the process is like this. Keep believing that you can, even though there are challenges like this.

The OP has the notion that entering in bitcoin market will give him wealth.
It may be true, but it would take patience how to understand the market to take advantage of this technology.
He should read more why some people are getting rich. It also depends on the entry and exit points of the user.
I hope he won't start investing on tokens that are promising high returns. As a beginner, he should stick with btc for now.
And learn how the market is performing so he knows what kind of strategy he can apply to get those profits.

You have reached the destination of your journey you're planning to get off the bus. Do you want to walk to your destination? It won't do you any good if you haven't found the best alternative to charge your gadget and don't want to charge your phone through your neighbor.

Ever since I join this forum I have learned a lot about bitcoin and how people become rich through bitcoin investment, I am very much interested in bitcoin investment and I am willing to invest no matter the risk.
Don't let the richest people get through Bitcoin be the only major reason why you choose to learn about it.
First, try to fall in love with technology cause it's easy to break some walls for something man love. I said this because the hard time during the Bitcoin journey would be a step to thrive from your view.
Second, learn the basic fundamental aspect of Bitcoin, its historical price, things that influence its price, and how to secure your wallet/investment.

I think that you need to settle your electricity and internet connection problem first. It's a necessity in our modern society now and honestly, I find it hard to survive my everyday life with out internet connection and electricity. It's part of my life that I find hard to give up. I think it is both necessity is more important than buying bitcoin at the moment, There are still time to buy some bitcoin. It is never too late to buy some as we are not on a bull market. Also remember that not all people here get rich by their bitcoin investment, It's a common misconception that newbies have commonly.

You can't stop going to your neighbor's house just because you have joined the Bitcoin forum. The question is do you have alternative means for you to charge your phones? If not then you will have to continue going there to charge your phone since you don't have an alternative for doing that. You are welcome to the forum again. There are so many things you can learn here whether you come around and some persons have drop links for you to ready and understand few things about this forum and how you can improve in your journey to learn about Bitcoin.

Those who see how bitcoin moves will surely imagine how much profit they will get if they invest in bitcoin or trade. But if they don't want to learn, it won't happen because, to profit from bitcoin, one has to study hard to know how. He should keep investing in bitcoin rather than in tokens or coins that he cannot analyze. But if he already has analytical skills and experience in choosing the coin or token, he can try it and hopefully be able to choose the right coin or token. But for now, investing in bitcoin remains what many people recommend.

If may I know why your neighbor has electricity? and you don't have electricity. is the neighbor very far away? The wise move is that you should ask your neighbor how to get electricity to get a more effective solution in solving your in this problem.

Unfortunately there are too many people who do not understand the value of analysis when they are buying something, and many do not even know how to do analysis at all.

This is why I have to say that it is going to suck for a while to be in this situation and I understand that it is not going to be easy to have understanding of how the market works so they need to spend some time studying and many people just want to get rich quick and not want to study, specially during the bull period when everyone around them makes a killing. But, the reality is that you study during bear market and accumulate bitcoin, then when the time comes you could use your knowledge to get richer.

If it's possible for you to buy a small solar panel that will be dedicated for charging your phone, it's possible. I'm seeing some bargain with that type of solar panel in my place and hopefully it's available there in your island or to the nearest city and marketplace where you are right now.

It's good to see how eager you in investing in bitcoin even if the situation that you're in isn't good.

Since you're able to connect to the internet and you've got a good neighbor that allows you to charge, you have to bear with the current situation you're in.

It won't be easy to understand a situation like this but I'm sure that we can understand the market with a will. We don't need to follow like-minded people who want to get rich quickly from crypto because it is very difficult to achieve, especially if we are still in a situation like now. It's better if we learn more, practice analyzing, and try to buy at low prices because when the price goes up, we will definitely get big profits.

It's pretty nice seeing someone who is willing to learn more despite the hardship in his locality. Do you have a job, or anything that can earn you money. If yes then whenever you travel to the next village you should get a power bank. It will help you a long way. At least you can charge it once in a week in the next village. For now don't go for investment just keep learning and as time goes on you probably may change your environment and then you can attempt investing.

My little suggestion to you is to find a way to get a power bank I believe the world now there is little technology around you where you live even though I know you may have some barriers but I believe you can save little money to get one for yourself so with power, internet find how it works on web about bitcoin so will find some interesting articles that will tutor you about it not always online on forum posting each time or day won’t make you understand the full process on how it works and some others things associated to bitcoin .
So think you can actually spend some of your time in the web and also read other people’s post on here and also do outside research on your own that will help but first you need steady power and internet to achieve that I believe seeking for knowledge

If it's possible for you to buy a small solar panel that will be dedicated for charging your phone, it's possible. I'm seeing some bargain with that type of solar panel in my place and hopefully, it's available there on your island or to the nearest city and marketplace where you are right now.

It's good to see how eager you in investing in bitcoin even if the situation that you're in isn't good.

Since you're able to connect to the internet and you've got a good neighbor that allows you to charge, you have to bear with the current situation you're in.
Thanks for the advice, I am into fishing and I have some savings, by next week I will buy a solar panel. I don't like going to someone's place all-day that's why am finding it difficault

It's great to see you have a passion for bitcoin and the effort to find a way to learn about bitcoin in such a difficult situation. I only have a few pieces of advice for you, once you've got a steady supply of electricity and time to learn about the market. The first thing you need is knowledge, and you should not be in a hurry to invest, do not invest without a basic understanding of bitcoin. As long as bitcoin exists, there will always be opportunities for us, I see many newbies investing too hastily and often at a loss, so I hope you can avoid that risk.

All the things you need to prioritize are acquiring electricity and internet.
If you don't have money enough to do it, I think the best thing to do is to take the lead in your community and ask for their financial support as well. It is really tough for you to do it but I see the reward is even great and you have time to be more active in the forum. This is not an ordinary problem because many people has been in this situation as well but if you never get tired of finding ways to do this, you certainly get it in the end.

I believe you have received enough links and suggestions to help you kick off your trading and learning process but due to the fact that you have complained of lack of electricity and have been substaining yourself with the help of your neighbour's I'll advise that you first look for a means to get your own source of electricity even if it's just a small generating set or if possible get a solar panel whichever you can afford as long as they're capable of generating electricity for you.
And I'll also advice that you set up a small business I'm your locality and from each month's profit invest in Bitcoin don't just go all in on Bitcoin if you do you're going to regret it before you know.

Bitcoin investment or opening a small business are both risky, if he has no experience and skills, opening a business will be more risky than investing in bitcoin. What he needs to do is not invest all his assets in bitcoin and diversify so that he has no regrets. Business is not as simple as you think, just open it, and you will be profitable monthly.

One thing I want to be clear about you here is that you don't have any lighting in there? How many hours of sunlight do you get per day or night? If you get 4 to 5 hours of light then you can install solar panels at your place. Installing solar panels will charge your battery and charge your mobile devices so you don't have to worry about any mobile charging. As a result you can always stay active in this forum. Thank you for always being active and waking yourself up in investing.

You don’t have to keep online all the time so you can invest in bitcoin. Just increase your knowledge first about bitcoin and crypto community whenever you have time to search on the internet, or download them so you can still continue learning offline. And if you are really willing to take the risk, then start saving some spare money from your present job and buy a portion of bitcoin whenever you have available funds. You can do it even at your neighbor’s house or when you go to a place where internet is available. That way, once you succeed from your bitcoin investment, you can pay for the installation of electricity and continue on your bitcoin journey.

What you just share is a personal problem, of which just only you have the solution to it, because first, Bitcoin investment is not a get-rich-quick scheme, whereby if you invest $10 today, you get $20 tomorrow or the next. No, that's not how it works. And secondly, it's quite sad that you happen to live in a place with no electricity. However, on that note, I will suggest that you buy a big or average power bank that can enable you to charge your phone whenever it runs down. Because growing on this forum requires consistency, which also to be consistent requires electricity and hard work.

with minimal facilities like you really have to be smart to manage time, in the sense that investing in bitcoin certainly requires electricity and the internet, in addition to your cell phone. therefore I think investing in bitcoin will be more suitable for you considering the difficulty of the facilities at your place. by investing, then you just need to buy and leave it until it reaches the desired target, because in my opinion it will be more difficult to do day trading to make a profit

There are a lot of challenges that one would encounter when learning about Bitcoin especially when you in a developing nation. They include electricity, and poor internet connectivity. These challenges would often hinder us from effectively learning about Bitcoin. To surmount these challenges you need to plan.

Granted people become rich through Bitcoin but it doesn't happen overnight. It takes a long time which run into years. So don't expect to get rich through Bitcoin in a year. However, you can go ahead to increase your knowledge about Bitcoin. To have a smooth sail with this, you need an alternative source of power. One of the users here have mentioned solar energy. Of it is too expensive, you may get a power bank. Kindly go through the resources listed by mk4, I find them really helpful. Good luck

I know what you feel and we just can't be dependent to our neighbors with this kind of stuff at all times and I admire for thinking like that.

That's a little step but it's a good initiative that you'll have that solar panel so that it will serve as your charging port whenever you're in need to access to the web and, you can charge anytime without being ashamed to anyone.

If you are just planning to buy solar panels to charge your phone, it is cheap as it is just a couple of panels, batteries, and wires. If you can afford it, it is a good idea; if not, try to use powerbanks so that you can still pay to charge your power bank in your neighbor's house, but now you are not frequently going there. Also, I hope that you will continue here in the forum and not just after of merits to join signature campaigns, since your goals is to learn more about bitcoin.

Not sure why no one asks this but I'm really curious, where is Minama?

If I'm in your situation, I'd better focus to get the electricity source first as this is one of the most vital things we need in our life along with food, water, and clothes. Once you have all of them, then you can start to invest on any asset you like. It's just not right to have bitcoin but not electricity, unless if you want to recharge your devices in neighbour house everyday. Iirc you also ask in the other thread that it's possible for a secondary school graduate to invest in bitcoin. Well unlike bank, you can start to buy your first bitcoin in any situation, as long as you have something to trade for it.

I admire your high willingness to learn, and this situation now makes a great challenge for you on how to learn and invest in bitcoin despite of no electricity at your own area. But I trust you that you won’t quit in the end as bitcoin will always be a good and profitable investment, you just have to learn it the right way and be aware of its risks before you finally decided to entrust your money into bitcoin. In the end, even if you lose, you can still re invest until you succeed.

Would be hard to be honest especially if it is circumstances which is the main factor which prohibits you. If forcing through would consume that much of effort, then that would solely depend on you whether to continue or not. Also, investment is not limited in this industry; it is everywhere. You may choose to look around you and look for an alternative which would be more efficient on your end. This is somehow a misconception on investment field; many people would only look on a single perspective and not on the industry in general. Indeed this industry is profitable but if you'd be limited in some aspect, maybe pushing through won't be the better option.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way, so keep doing what you think is right and focus first on learning everything about bitcoin as storing offline information is always possible. That way, your battery won’t be compromised and when you think you are ready to start bitcoin investment and purchase a small portion, just trust yourself that you can do it and trust the process. No matter how hard the challenge, you can overcome it along with your endless will.

I think it is both risky and profitable for this guy to invest in the bitcoin. Imagine if he buys bitcoin today by connecting in favourable conditions but somehow goes dark for next couple of months. Let’s assume he bought at 20k mark and when he returned online after getting favourable conditions and saw that bitcoin has gone above 50k USD. Imagine his happiness and fruit for his “cold storage”.

But, obviously we know very well that crypto does not work like that all the time. The reverse condition is also true in this regards where he could have had opportunities to sell at higher prices but by the time he reach his wallet it could be reversal of the same.

I think stability and connectedness to the internet is vital part here.

First, you will need to take proper account of your financial state and when you are talking about bitcoin invesmenutou must also understand the risk factor and long waiting time for that investment to mature and as a matter of fact, don't see Bitcoin as a means to get rich quick but take bitcoin as a project with a framework that can adopt anyone and suit the financial needs.

-But the way you chose to take Bitcoin has its resultant effects and advantages, but having the sole aim of becoming rich through bitcoin investment could get your motivations drained faster.

As for a plan on when he needs to invest in bitcoin, I think he can start monthly and take a bit of his salary to allocate as an investment fund. By saving in bitcoins every month and doing it continuously for this one year, I think he can get a decent amount of bitcoins he can sell when the bull run comes.

Ever since I join this forum I have learned a lot about bitcoin and how people become rich through bitcoin investment, I am very much interested in bitcoin investment and I am willing to invest no matter the risk.

You are a persistent person bro, it is not easy if we are all in your current position with all the limited access.
I don't mean to discourage you, but in my opinion learning a lot is not enough to become rich, there are many influencing factors.
Please keep thinking rationally and realistically that getting rich and successful from crypto is not as easy as we see friends.
Remember what you see is only limited to other people's success stories, but you will never understand what they have gone through and maybe how much they lost before success in crypto.
Make the success of other people in the crypto world as your motivation to continue to be creative and work hard, not just as a hope that is done without real effort.
Continue to increase your knowledge and set aside a few percent of your money to invest in crypto.
Make a plan and use the money you have wisely.
Hopefully someday you can become one of the successful people bro.

It will come back to each person's goals because if they really want to invest in bitcoin, they should be able to take the time to learn more and try to apply it through analyzing exercises when investing.

That type of understanding doesn't come cheaply though, that is what I wanted to say. It's something that comes with time and unfortunately there are way too many people who have absolutely no idea how any of this works and that causes a bit of a trouble. I know that it is not going to be as easy of a situation as people think it will be, but that is literally the situation we are in right now.

Just buy it when it's cheap, hold it until it goes up, and you will be rich. Imagine all the people who got in during 2018 when it was cheap, waited until 2021 when it peaked, and sold at that time, those people made insane amount of profit and yet not many people take them as an example.

Opening of business is still a pert of the diversification, you can't just expect her to just go into an exchange and starts buying different coins all in the name of diversifying. Op still needs to do research on what to diversify to, investing in Bitcoin and also starting up a business would be great because that way you can leave your Bitcoin without even touching it and be using whatever you realize from your business. And yes I know starting a business is not a easy job but still I believe it will be more profitable depending on what Op decides to go into.

As long as he is willing to put in the effort to understand how the market moves, he should be able to gain knowledge of how. But most people feel unable to learn more details because the understanding process doesn't come quickly but gradually. That's what causes many people to fail to become professional traders.

But if he wants to be an investor, maybe analyzing the market will not take too long because all he has to find is a low price to buy and he can buy gradually. And if we can buy at a lot of low prices, we can certainly sell when the price peaks to make a big profit. That is the appeal of bitcoin for investors with the patience to wait.

First of all, I appreciate your efforts in making this therad if what you said is true.
If you live in an area where there is no electricity and main road access, can you access the internet?

Internet is the main point for those of us who want to invest in Bitcoin. Next, we think about what are the positive and negative impacts behind the investment you want to make in Bitcoin.
This relates to the conditions of your area as you described. I hope you are not making up stories when writing this topic.

I'm also curious too, when normally internet connection is unavailable or hard to access when there is no electricity. But yeah bitcoin is accessible for anyone and anywhere, and hopefully he could invest some.
