Title: Can anyone explain me about DT1?
Post by: Perfectos on March 04, 2023, 06:08:56 PM
Actually I'm new in this forum and I am still exploring this forum Today I want to know about some things  I understand from my own research that DT2 members are those who are on the trust list of DT1 members or have been given a positive feedback by dt1 members, correct me if I'm wrong. But who are the DT1 members? Who is on the trust list of theymos? But I see theymos is also a DT1! I would be very happy if someone could kindly explain it to me.
And kindly give advice on how a member can become a DT1 or DT2 member I know it's  very hard to become those positions However, some initial steps were suggested.- :)

You are wrong.
For being a DT2 member, you need to be in the trust list of a DT1 member and don't have more DT1 exclusions than DT1 inclusions.
Having a positive or negative feedback doesn't matter at all.

Above hosseinimr93 already gave good source to know about DT member - still I quoted this post of ibminer to show you, hope you clear about it.

Can anyone tell us who make DT members on this Bitcoitalk forum ?

Details of trust system: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.0

In short, theymos sets DT1 members, and DT1 members each have their own DT2 list. If you are on DT1 or any of the DT2 lists, you are on "DefaultTrust" which is the default trust system every account starts off with. However, every member on the forum has the option to exclude/include anyone from their own individualized trust list. But by default, everyone starts off trusting DT1 and DT2 members.

Default trust requires one to be trustworthy and more importantly have good judgement in determining who is trustworthy or not. So, one who desires to be on DT should be able to give good give feedbacks and follow them up, to know when to reevaluate them.

The trust system is not one that you deliberately try to get into, as this could cause you to give out wrong feedbacks. Do not chase being on default trust, just act naturally and try to improve the forum experience.

Snipped

It's good to make enquiry in knowing about the forum and the DT categories, but after understanding the difference and haven received recommended links showing those under each category and why, it is very important that you should know that you can also be served the opportunity with time if you can be patient, committed, hardworking and be a sound contributor of the forum to other members, it may take you some time and quality level of being committed as said earlier and being trusted, yet being a DT or not does not make much difference of you from other members than just the opportunity you have to be among.
