As you may know or not, FireDAO is a newly launched project that intends to build an on-chain economy based on DID system and SBTs. I am with FireDAO team, in charge of the global community buildup. To be honest, to promote a new project is never easy and I was wondering what strategies or measures you would use to promote FireDAO effectively. We are open to any advice and also questions that relate to FireDAO. Please share your views. Thanks.

There are some ways to promote your project effectively but what kind of promotion that you have tried it before? It seems like that for me your project didn't have lots of users.

These days incentive is always become the main reason why people were supporting the project. I can't deny the fact that if how big communites were also affecing how big the hype that can be gotten by a project.

You can try to offer some incentives to increase engagement for your project.

- Try to create collaboration with good project with massive supporters (expecting you can get some users and followers from there)
- Try to give incentive tasks such as bounty, crew3 or galxe. (increasing your audience)

Based on my experience as bounty hunter, I've seen many projects do these steps to  promote their project better. Try to consider the most suitable one for your project

I think if you're a starting project I think it's better to gather more followers by giveaways, collaboration with big time people and have a good background about your project. There's a lot of projects that I've encountered with unique way of promoting their projects like giving games thru discord or twitter but I suggest twitter since many projects started with discord. But if you want to have a healthy community I think twitter is the answer. Don't forget to add follow your social media accounts whenever you're doing some events and post.

Yeah, incentive didn't always relate to giving away your token. I have also participated in some projects based on arbitrum that have even issued their arbitrum future tokens and these tokens can be exchange for the real arbitrum once arbitrum launch its own token. These projects were using arbitrum futures token as incentives too. since you were based on arbitrum and it would be so good if you were trying to reach arbitrum to make a partnership with it or at least have some projects that launched in arbitrum as your partner.

What kind of project promotion can we talk about if on every page of your website we see "This module is under development!"? It is the project's website that should help the investor understand the prospects for development and, accordingly, make a decision on the expediency of investing in it.

Surely the one in charge of community build-up should already have a set of plans and strategies to develop the user base, and the above thing I said is the most basic thing you should know about. Now, the thing is what have you already done?

Also, if you tried to increase awareness from people about your project, kindly use and helpful and descriptive language instead of shooting words like the on-chain economy, DID system, and SBTs. It is lame and doesn't explain what it is all about.

I agree with you, it is never easy when it comes to effectively promoting a project, especially in the bear market. the truth meanwhile is that it is achievable, with the right strategies you can market your project well and have a great launch. Below are few steps that help you and your project marketing wise.

1. Develop a marketing strategy and approach; you can do this by highlighting your project target audience in relation to your product. Then you set up plans that fulfill this roles.

2. Build a social media presence; you should focus on your project presence on twitter, telegram or discord and even bitcointalk forum ann itself. Ensure to communicate and also build an online presence and followership; this can be achieved by making different post daily with context relating to crypto currency and your project; and also host amas or vcs on your telegram and twitter space focusing on selling your product and getting core followership's and investors in return.

3. Have a roadmap and stick with it - Hitting your roadmap milestones in the scheduled time builds trust; it helps investors to know that not only is your product good, you are also up to the task. Communicate each stages, announce every delay ahead of time; and you would build trust in your community.

4. Be consistent!

Social media platforms can do better but of course, it never works so easily and it needs to spend more money. Some developers are using influencers to work and focus on the promotions which I see has a huge impact, it can be so much useful in your case as it was a new project. But it won't just stop there, investors will do the assessment and make their decision not only because of these influencers but also the potentiality of the project. If you have this, success is certainly on your side in the long run. 

Always elaborate the details of the project clearly. Marketing is also honesty. Once you show the clarity of the project and its goal then some community might be interestes with it. Its not about promotional rewards they after (The real investors) but the important aspect of a platform. Like it will focus on their development and not just the free airdrop to spread the project name just by giving off rewards.

Educational drive is a good suggestion about your promotions.

Like the things that you're seeing in the forum, make campaigns and bounties that will surely attract more users to your community. Yeah, it's a hard thing to build up a new community coming from scratch and it all requires a lot of effort for you to make it.
But not all campaigns and bounties become successful, you as part of the team and project still need to play an important role in making legitimate and bold to what you're promoting. If investors and people that jump from communities to communities see that your community is worth, they'll stay on your side and will even support you if they find your project as a good one to stay with.

Building a community around the project is key to its success, listen to their feedback and respond to their questions and concerns.
Reach out to influencers in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space and ask them to share information about FireDAO with their followers (even shits projects when it promotes by huge crypto influencers it will go big and it's pretty sad to be honest, but it is what it is).
Also, common thing to do is offering incentives such as airdrops or token bonuses for early adopters can help attract new users and build momentum for the project.

If you want to build a big community here in the crypto space as a beginner you should do legit airdrops, by this you are giving other people a chance to earn crypto for free in the beginning.

1. Collaboration - paying some popular people might help you in advertising your project. Yes, there are some influencers that are promoting some scam projects, but overall, paying them to promote your project isn't a bad idea at all especially if you don't have any intention to scam investors.

2. Communication - as a new project, expect lots and lots of question from investors regarding to your project. It's your project so you must know the in's and out's of it. If you can answer all or most of the questions of the investors, that increases the chances of them investing to your project. This isn't a guarantee though, same with the first one.

3. Social Media - use the power of the social media. Paid advertisements from different platforms will help your project be promoted. When ICO is on it's hype in 2018, I often see some new ICO projects in my timeline. They are paying to increase their chances of the project being seen online.

4. Honesty - show your honesty to your investors and to your community. If they felt that there is something wrong with your project or somebody with the developers are lying with their answers, the investor will just go out immediately and will not invest in your project anymore.

There might be some ways still, but these are the things that I know.

Money had always been one of the necessities when it comes to promoting, every movement now needs payment.
I agree with some members' suggestions, social media outlets should be one of your targets. This forum too because you can interact with investors or those who are interested in what you are building.
You can try by also bidding on the first page advertisements. I don't know what is the normal price now but I am sure it is not that expensive.
Signature campaigns are also a great help to promote, proven by old companies that stayed here. Just one click away from the investors in our signature and Voila! they are on your page.

I believe they have money enough for market promotions but what they need is to find an effective way to do that so they won't waste their money.

It is indeed, this Bitcointalk is a huge forum already and it was enough to make their project become known to the community. However, if we are targeting more investors, we should maximize the use of the internet, not just in this forum only.

You should create a niche for your project and publish it in different phases. First of all start capturing crowd who is interested in your project. This can be achieved with social experiments. Now this can be anything from publishing the project highlights to various social accounts, asking followers to promote and gain more exposure with mouth to mouth publicity. Over the time you can also start publishing technical details to the people or investors who understand it such as technical discusion boards on the forum. Slowly you can inject campaigns and bounties. Basically it’s framework of marketing which every project leader follows for the successful business.

Strong capital builds a community with promotional methods and professional teams in their respective fields. As we know, not a few projects were stopped in the middle of the road due to the withdrawal of the team or lack of funds in carrying out promotions. In the crypto industry when a project that shows half a step gets abandoned so public trust and investment decline. Your site was registered in October last year and you still haven't found the time to publish your team on the site, as well as Roadmap and Whitepaper. If the Whitepaper is already ready, then why is it not published on the site? Does it take that long? Until the site is functioning, we can assume that you are trying to promote a dummy here.

Yes, a decent budget allocated to marketing sector is a must when persuing efficient propaganda methods. The more money the team has under their disposal, the more professional and contagious will be the marketing.

There is the cheap and the expensive route. The cheap one is to promote through spam most commonly at social medias and Telegram groups. The expensive one is to seek for a celebrity or media's channel to display ads, this way the project will gain much more notoriety and reach more people at same time.

Most of the people are now using internet and most of them are involved or using social media, so if you like to promote a project social media sites is a very good ways to gain attention and to spread the information of the projects you'd like to promote, but it is all up to the people or investors to decide if they want you're projects or not they are free to choose the projects they want and we cant force them, i think it is very simple now a days to promote a projects the hard thing is convincing people to like a project or to invest in a project specially when it is a new project.

According to what I know, the effective way to campaign for a project and be able to convince other people is to have an attractive roadmap supported by adequate designs, be it a website, telegram channel or other social media tools. other than that it's important to build cooperation with other projects that have large communities and more importantly FireDAO can offer maximum solutions in every problem that occurs, I think by offering such a strategy then this is a more effective form of campaign

You are totally right. And I who works in crypto marketing services, know that launching a project, building its strategy for advertising, and coming out is not a one day deal. So now is a great time to start planning everything. Gain members, build your community, and once the market is bullish, people will recognize you and be more willing to invest in something that has been around for a while rather than in a newly created project.

Promoting your project maybe the problem you're thinking of right now but in reality getting real investors is real hard since investors looking for a decent project to invest in and not only a project without any development so rather than keeping busy yourself from promoting your project its better to start giving your community the best project, a great team, good product, good roadmap, and real progress for the community. If all that is in your project you can easily find investors for your project.

Of course, We are on the time that crypto projects should at least have some working product to show to their potential investors. Back in the day, Projects can attract investors by showing some hypothetical products and amazing road maps that has a possibility have a big impact or has a chance to change a part of the whole crypto space. As we have seen these projects, Only a handful ones still exist today. Most of those projects doesn't even came to the point to have a working product, Most of them are just disappointments and pure hype. In terms of promoting, It would be a must to have a alpha product before going all out in promotions. There are different ways of promoting a product and the most common way to promote is to do social media marketing or influencers which tend to be the most effective way in crowd funding a project.

Utilize every platform available. Get as much promotions as possible. Seek for that popularity in every possible way. Popularity of the project is the bottomline for all projects. When it comes on promotion of a  project, every platform does so. So how would a newly introduce project be at the top of the majority? Seek for long term improvement I guess. Any project could promote their output but not all projects would be able to provide a futuristic development or roadmap which is where potential comes from. In the same sense, popularity would follow, resulting to a success with project release. Address security of funds on all aspects because it is also considered especially by new investors in this industry.

Honestly it is futile to try to promote projects during this period, because it won't be hyped at all, hype is all the new projects have and will ever have. If you can hype carefully then you could make a good profit with your project but that requires the bull run. So wait for bitcoin to be 30k+ at least, better if you wait for it to break the ATH price range, and then you can make a lot of profit.

Rest is simple, find legit marketing people, people with proven track record and they will spend your money to make more money, mostly fail during this period because they hire terrible people, so you need to make sure that you hire the right person which will be the hardest part.

If you wouldn't mind, you can adopt the process of hiring community builders to help promote the project on several social media platforms for more recognition. They help real users in various crypto communities. They possess the ability to facilitate the uniqueness of a project and attract and moderate bad public opinion for the development of a project.
