Coinbase just launched a new marketing campaign on Twitter by dropping a New Bitcoin advert. It is pretty good as it highlights some of the biggest flaws of the US financial system. If you have not watched it then you can view it here (https://twitter.com/coinbase/status/1633222932255358976?s=20).

Nothing is interesting with me.

Centralized governments, centralized banks won't change. They cooperate with each other to make inflation and cause loss of purchasing power of fiat currencies [1]

Why Coinbase don't change themselves first from a centralized platform to a decentralized one?  ;D

I think it's pretty awesome. And while it is paid by Coinbase, it is obviously not an advertisement of Coinbase but of Bitcoin. Of course, Bitcoin doesn't cease processing transactions all over the world. It doesn't rest. It doesn't have a holiday and can't be shut down. Coinbase, of course, is the opposite.

I also think it's wise to promote Bitcoin not only by presenting Bitcoin and its revolutionary features but also by making people realize the kind of system they are currently in, particularly emphasizing that they deserve better. The ad is kind of enlightening, showing the why of Bitcoin. Some might find no reason to get into Bitcoin without being presented with how rotten the fiat system is.

But in countries like Lebanon, Argentina, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, and many others, even China with its funny CBDC that has an expiry date, they're the best promoters of Bitcoin.

Technically, it wasn't really a Bitcoin advertisement, it's a Coinbase advertisement. The good thing about it is it highlights the flaws in the traditional banking system and the flaws of 3rd party payment processors. So, basically this is where cryptocurrency takes place not only Bitcoin, but crypto as a whole, and of course using their platform to make those transactions.
Nevertheless, the advertisement really made sense though, but we all know people who doesn't want to learn and correct these flaws, would never gonna switch and leave what their used to.

Good for them for actually releasing a good ad that doesn't just straight-off shill shitcoins.

It's great though. The fact that it's a bit more subtle and the fact that they don't necessarily need to plaster Bitcoin all over people's faces.

Why Coinbase don't change themselves first from a centralized platform to a decentralized one?  ;D

Because it's a dumb decision in a business sense. Always remember that Coinbase is a US-based company.

They are really focus on social advertisement these days, i mean on Facebook every short videos, and even on YouTube, they will put on an app that uses cryptocurrency, they are not directly putting bitcoin, and just saying crypto because of the backlash in the past for bitcoin because they are being use by scammers and bad guys on their scheme, so the approach is pretty much good approach as a commercial strategy.
They also show how bad the system is but, not in a very big way that will hurt the current system, what really a big advantage is crypto is that it will not take 3-5 days just to clear your money, and that might be the best pitch by coinbase that will make other bank customers eyes pop, and try how will it help, people transfer money without any hassle like in the videos that, they are stress because, the money is needed but take more time, people this days want's faster transaction, because of the fast phase, we are in.

I think it is a win-win situation for both coinbase and decentralization. Exposing the problems of conventional banking will positively affect the crypto industry. Coinbase wants to attract more customers to its platform with this advert which might make them carry out business transactions on its platform. Some of these customers might also later discover the imperfections of a centralized platform like Coinbase and move to embrace decentralized wallets.

People need to be aware of these parasites called banks and that's what this advert is trying to depict. The conventional banking system is gradually drowning people slowly and most people lack the knowledge of available alternatives.

It's not though. The video is sort of them trying to convince that we need better money(implying bitcoin/crypto), hoping that people will buy/trade bitcoin/crypto through Coinbase. If anything, it's one of their best ads as far as I remember.

Haven't seen it before. It may bring new people to Bitcoin, but it's kinda sad that they're gonna use exchange and most likely will keep their Bitcoin there, not everyone is gonna make full and proper research.

The advertisement is well created to make people understand the need of technology. By the time went through the response for the advertisement. Some has mentioned same is the situation with Coinbase, we need to wait long for the transaction. In always the exchanges too serve same as that of the centralized system.

Earlier the spread about cryptocurrencies happened through word of mouth and slowly the exchanges have been doing it through different promotions. Though this promotion is for Coinbase, it'll make atleast few people to learn what it is all about.

I laughed so hard at the "next window" part and also at the 5 business days to deliver your money. But it was not really straight forward about bitcoin or cryptocurrency; they are really promoting coinbase it's their platform, and part of this is the bitcoin. It's a fun advertisement, but it's the sad truth, and changing it is difficult because it's backed by the government, and because of its flaws, people can exploit it more mostly those powerful.

There is no Bitcoin there, only Coinbase is mentioned. An exchange is NOT Bitcoin. Bitcoin is paying and being paid bitcoins, p2p wallet to wallet, no exchanges, no 3rd parties, no banks, no State, no financial system. Heck, Bitcoin doesn't ask you KYC unlike this exchange...

Coinbase's marketing strategy has succeeded in attracting widespread attention to their services. It is generally known that today's payment technology leaves a lot to be desired and the biggest obstacle with Bitcoin is that it is possible to make payments without a third party. because with Bitcoin you can fully control your finances.

However for online merchants it may be a different story as it means they have to charge their customers more to cover their transaction costs. These are all problems that can be solved with blockchain-based solutions, which of course include Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Let the free market decide...

Interestingly, the advertisement was great and it seems like coinbase is talking about cryptocurrency not directly about bitcoin but still talking about shady things like fees, transactions, atm, banks, etc. which is I think a great move introducing a new system like cryptocurrency avoiding this kind of things would probably attract a lot of users to buy cryptocurrency.

It could still introduce a lot of users into cryptocurrency at least even though most of us hate coinbase and doesn't really recommend coinbase because it's still a centralized exchange, but the ads could be better if they could somehow show a glimpse of the bitcoin logo there or maybe any cryptocurrency. This was probably one of the best ads of coinbase, hopefully, coinbase could start something that could support their users when it comes to decentralization, the fact it is a centralized exchange just completely discourages a lot of users as well as high fees.

Nope, then I just watched it and it seems that the video that was shown was not a Bitcoin advertisement, but the advertisement was about the concept system of coinbase, although coinbase is promoting bitcoin.

But even so, the scene that was aired is still good because it just shows that we are in the modern technology that is the system that there is no other in this era.

its a coinbase advert.. there was not one single mention of bitcoin
coinbase services stable coins and altcoins aswell as bitcoin. so people entering coinbase will end up moving stable coins to other users for payments, because the advert does not teach them anything about crypto at all. its just saying a better system for peoples "money". thus keeping people in the same mindset of just a better way to store/move fiat(stablecoins)

As most of you guys noticed that it's not a specifically bitcoin ads, yeah that's not really about bitcoin. I'd rather call a crypto gambling casino ads as the real advertisement about bitcoin, because they really show bitcoin logo on it and ask people to use bitcoin, like what Sportsbet.io, Stake, and Duelbits are doing in Premier League by sponsoring the teams there. Of course gambling is not good for everyone, but it has clear message for everyone to know more about bitcoin and use it.

Gambling is not good for everyone but you should emphasize that Bitcoin is not good for everyone.

People must gambling responsibly so as investing in Bitcoin or Trading Bitcoin responsibly. Nothing can satisfy everyone and Bitcoin can not serve everyone and help them to be richer. It has many use cases and people can use Bitcoin without need to be richer. They can use it as daily payment method that has mostly no financial gain purpose.

I don't know how someone concluded (question for the OP) that this is any kind of advertisement for Bitcoin? I have never heard anyone mention Bitcoin anywhere, or seen a logo for it in that advertisement. Furthermore, it is not about the US financial system flaws, but about the flaws of the entire financial system of the world.

According to the last data I saw, that CEX supports as many as 128 altcoins/tokens, and it doesn't matter to them (like all other CEX) what people buy, it's important that they as a company profit from it. Don't be naive, this is not an advertisement for Bitcoin, nor are they better than any traditional bank.

bitcoin being the meaning of this ad or maybe some other crypto, but pretty sure that is meant for bitcoin maybe.
As a company established in the United States, so as not to directly conflict with the meaning of delivery, but we can interpret that FIAT and banks get bad sentiment in this regard and make people think several times about banks and FIAT through this, people are likely to start doubting and find out what the bankers do with their FIAT.
I think Coinbase is brave enough to do this and I really appreciate it even though their name was brought without involving bitcoin openly.

It’s not just an advert for bitcoin rather it’s an advert that highlights some of the major flaws of the traditional financial system that we had to deal with on an almost everyday level.

The video was point black direct and correct about their illustrations, the banking system is a legal violation of human rights from their delays and their unwarranted charges, crypto-currency is changing all that.

It would have been better if it shows how convenient it is to transfer funds through Bitcoin.  Instead, the advertisement put the audience in a guessing mode thinking about what system it is.  A good marketing ploy to research Coinbase and not Bitcoin.

So I think this one is not a Bitcoin advertisement but rather a company called Coinbase advertisement.

It's like a lowkey protest to me more than an advertisement. But, as they're now a big and can be compared to financial institutions in the country, Coinbase should make more of these videos.

Since they have the capacity to make and sponsor such videos, most people that will see that advert will have the idea and will surely agree to what they're saying about the financial flaws and the introduction for bitcoin is gonna given with that highlight.

On the other hand, it's like another competitor having their endorsement of their service that deprives the other competitors.

It should be realized that the ad is bold enough to show the shortcomings of your system, but I really like this ad  :D Because they immediately attack at the point where this is the actual reality that often happens and is currently being experienced.

I mean it would have been better if they even once mentioned Bitcoin lol. It was a Coinbase ad not a Bitcoin ad. If it was a Bitcoin ad they would have mentioned it. I was waiting at the end for it to say something like Use Bitcoin but it just said Coinbase
Even though in this case there is no mention of bitcoin, I think we all understand where the point is headed, especially when looking at the questions in the advertisements about "Systems", it clearly shows that they lead to decentralization and centralization.
There's no need to mention bitcoin when something this obvious is obvious because we've already got our point and people will also notice even if the word bitcoin isn't in the ad.

Yeah, same here, I was looking for Bitcoin, but it didn't mentioned it, not even once.

But I do like how they attack the old and traditional financial systems here, Lol, and I would say it's true, specially the banks withdrawals and maintaining balance. It's really the point of contention, every month you have to maintain an amount that the banks declared, otherwise they will debit some from your own money.

Anyhow, it's a good ads for Coinbase overall.

Yes, but still though, they could at least mention the alternatives like "crypto" or "Bitcoin", but it's not there. It could be their strategy to just used their name and let people discover what Coinbase is and how they can be as a alternative to the banking system.

So let's see how this ads will affect Coinbase positively or crypto in general.

It their users increases or at least there are new customers in the crypto market then good.

It's really exciting, this is a bold move by Coinbase because I've always considered them the spoiled child of the US government, so it's very good that this announcement came from them.

This advertisement reveals the defects of the traditional banking system and the defects of third-party services as well, and this is very important as it is important to clarify the alternative to this failed system, I mean Bitcoin, of course.

Some people are upset with this failed system, but they are used to it, and many of them may not know the alternative, so it is very important for them to know that there is a much better alternative.

Well, yeah, it is an advertisement of Coinbase. They commissioned it. They paid for it. And Bitcoin wasn't mentioned. But the ad was Coinbase's only because Coinbase is flashed in the end. Without it, without putting the brand, it wouldn't be hinting Coinbase but Bitcoin. It describes Bitcoin more than Coinbase. So if we didn't knew that it was a Coinbase ad, it would have easily be Bitcoin's. The ad wasn't describing a centralized platform, after all. Charging a fee for withdrawing your own money? Coinbase is guilty of it. Manual processes? Again, Coinbase is guilty. So how can it be the new system?

It was at this point in this picture that the attendant said "That's my job" ;D
This advert is a coinbase advert and not a bitcoin advert. Bitcoin system which also is part of the system of altcoins and exchanges is what is promoted here.
Well the banking and fiat system was obviously referred to as archaic.
The funny aspect of the advert is when you would be charged for not having money.
Meanwhile, if it is not bitcoin, it is not bitcoin. Gone should be those days people tag bitcoin as scam because it served as a payment gateway for scammers.
