Title: How is your year with bitcoin so far?
Post by: JamesBorn on March 13, 2023, 09:07:53 PM
Is rare this day seeing people sharing wonderful happenings in their trades or investment. The downtime is quite disheartened that people barely discuss much of crypto currency. Is your year with bitcoin completely empty or you were able to do America wonders?
As for me nothing is left on my wallets, price going down day was not a healthy type for me. Right from last year I decided that the more the deep the more I increase my investment but to some extent it was choking I could afford to keep reducing on investment pending when the price goes up again, so the year has not be really fulfilling but all hope are not lost.

What about you! How do you succeed your year with bitcoin? Is it good to you or worst kind of time?

Pretty similar to previous years regardless of price. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Buying regardless of what the price is, but a lot more when extremely bad events occur (like recently).

As for being disheartened — if you're being disheartened when prices drop, maybe you need to curb your expectations. Like, are you actually bullish on bitcoin in a broader sense? Or are you just here solely for the money? Because if it's the latter, you're bound to be disappointed.

It is not surprising in such a situation, investors cannot sell their tokens because they will lose money. Because they believe that the price of Bitcoin will return high, they will continue to buy when the price continues to go down. So, there's nothing to worry about mate, you'll make money when the time comes.

investing in bitcoin is certainly full of challenges and our must be prepared to lose money.
because if our invest in crypto our have to be prepared for the risks.

I personally don't have much experience in bitcoin and can still be called a beginner, and to this day I continue to collect bitcoins using the DCA system, because I believe that one day the price of bitcoin will be high.
and anyone will surely reap the fruits of their patience in investing in bitcoin,
so keep up the enthusiasm and hold on tight until we get the benefits.

it's not time for us to say success because halving is not yet happen. As we know bullish bitcoin always follow the time of halving, ussually happen in +1. For this time smart people will DCA, step to step, or few by few to buy sat. and will start harvesting in 2025

For me, all good. I started to accumulate Bitcoin at the start of this year and I will continue it because this year is the best year for me to accumulate Bitcoin again for my long-term portfolio. Since I am doing dollar-cost-averaging (DCA), overall the average price of my buying price is not underwater :D. So for now, I can say that everything is still on track.

Not so different from my previous years but definitely would want to give a lot of new stuff or collect more btc in any means especially the price now is quite low compared to last bull run. Stacking up more would be a good and wise decision to do this year. Plus explore and engage on more knowledge about blockchain and new cool technology.

Initially speaking it not really get worst or better but I believe that it just a matter of time,in life you don't need to rush so you will not end up either lossing or winning, patient is the key to success if only you can came down and bring your brain to study what you are into I don't think you can make it while your mind is on how you can make money out of it only and not think of everything, while my is not too bad or good am just managing but it will be good because this forum thought me how to do the long term investment and I guess it really help so you need to try something different and new if it's going to help.

Honestly speaking, we did all expects this fall taking long but here we are and there is not going back, investment this period experience a drastic approach though is not easy to see your resources going down by day. It wasn't a good year so far for all of us, let's tell ourselves the truth.

The manner it keeps going down is even scaring, nothing really impressive putting your money again, the saga is too much to bear but let's hope things turn around

The possibility that the recent uptrend and significant downtrend of the past days are not similar to what will occur in the coming months. Even though we are only in the first quarter of the year, we are still far from the end of the year. Therefore, we should not compare 2023 to the beginning of the year. The individuals who sold their investments during the downtrend do not have sufficient crypto knowledge or preparation. However, an individual with a strict stop loss is unique; some of them were fortunate enough to purchase again at a lower price during the downtrend.

I guess overall I was doing well accumulating bitcoin buying 2 times a month, sometimes I buy more when the market price was down by a small percentage, and probably just a normal buy when the price continue to increase since I will get more profit in the future when I buy more bitcoin especially when the market is down. So I usually increase the volume every time the market continues to go down.

It wasn't a good year compared to the past year since the last time was a bull run I really did well on trading and especially NFTs where I earn a really good amount of profit on flipping, and that gives me enough to hold on to this bear market and probably survive, I just quit my job recently but I can still find ways to earn income and I do save a little bit for my bitcoin investment every time I earn.

Well nothing so much is happening. Maybe you might need to take a break from crypto for now, OP since it has been affecting you somehow this year.
As for me, I just leave my "hodling wallet" alone and never make something come out of it from a time being. I might consider just buying more when the savings allow me to do so, but for these days, I am not really buying anything for now.  I am just fine with my holdings.

I guess you are looking for something to strengthen your believe in crypto, many members on here don't like sharing their successful crypto story and also, do not forget that we are presently in a bear market, many people are currently finding the next 100x gem for next bull market, and some are struggling financially to at least be able to buy some Bitcoin before this bear market runs out.

OP, the strength you seek is within you, do not rely on the good stories that you want others to talk about, this is not the right time for that, the only success story I have in this bear market is making 10x of my money from a A.I project called Vaiot. Don't lose hope.

Well nothing much has changed only that I have been helping myself with little trade, do I call it scalping to keep increasing my percentages while I face the hit with the dip. Most times I noticed that is the best way to successfully sail the bear market than just hold because it pains and hurt deeply seeing your investment or assets decreased without you being able to stop the process since one decided to keep holding.

Actually, for people who have experienced this kind of phase, they will not be surprised. Because indeed a few years ago this kind of prank also happened. Perhaps the slight difference is, right now is a financially difficult period due to the recession. But with the current situation, everyone can still make a profit with the features of trading services such as margin or futures.
This time is indeed a period that requires quite a lot of patience. I've been through this period da times and I don't think this is bad. But it should be a period that should happen. Right now all you do is be patient and stay disciplined with the strategy you have set.

I'm still hoping to succeed through bitcoin, so I'm still trying to buy more bitcoins in this downturn.
I can still survive the current bearish situation and I think that soon this bearish moment will be replaced by a bullish market, which will turn the market around.
I think this year can also provide benefits because the market can change, although not much, and it still fluctuates so we can use it to gain that advantage.
And until now, everything is still fine and I also hope we can all survive until the situation changes completely.

Why shed tears over short-term events, right? Well, even if bitcoin portfolio fell in price relative to the dollar, it made it possible to accumulate btc more productively. All the same, as the old forum saying "1 BTC is 1 BTC" goes, no matter how much it costs now in dollars. Temporary phenomena don't matter in the long run. In situations like now, you need to try to see positive opportunities, and not be upset and not worry.

The volatile crypto market makes investors unable to sell their assets because they have lost some of their value, holding is a possible solution to save the value of their assets. Price fluctuations have occurred in previous years, Bitcoin is able to survive under any conditions making investors believe in the strength that Bitcoin has. Even though sometimes the price is under pressure, they will buy to wait for the arrival of the Bullsh.

Bitcoin started the year trading at around $29,000 and rose to an all-time high of nearly $69,000 in November 2021. However, since then, the price has seen some fluctuations and currently hovers around the $55,000-$60,000 range. The overall trend for the year has been positive, with Bitcoin showing significant growth in value.

The factors contributing to Bitcoin's performance this year include increased institutional adoption, mainstream media coverage, and continued interest from individual investors. However, it is worth noting that Bitcoin's price is notoriously volatile, and it can be challenging to predict its future performance with certainty.

I hope it's not too much of an exaggeration to say that 2023 is a better year for bitcoin than 2022.
All holders are on a dip throughout 2022 and this year they have good hopes for recovery. I certainly don't find it an exaggeration to say that in recent months the value of my assets has increased compared to a year ago, however I can still expect it to continue to grow and improve further throughout this year and next.

Great opportunities lie ahead to make a profit, but don't ignore the risks. Halving has been everyone's wait, especially for the holders, of course it's a moment that will make them smile because it is expected that ATH can be hit afterwards.

I wouldn't say the year has been good or bad but promising. We've been seeing glimpse of what to expect next year, i.e the bitcoin halving. Although, some persons argue that the bear season is not over, but so far I would say 2023 is better than the previous year 2022. BTC started at $18k price mark and it has been building on this, today it past the $25k price mark and I think no matter what the market condition might be BTC is going to end 2023 at $24k-$30k price mark.

Is it not better to keep investing when the price is yet to rise? If you actually trust Bitcoin and its process, this bear market will indeed be an opportunity to stuck your Bitcoin portfolio, but you are right because so many people lose patience due to the long period of the bear market, for me this bear market is not normal as it use to be because it has taking more than a year now, I just hope the bear market will soon come to an end so that investors can all smile at their wallets once again.

Years and years passed by,.... several turns passed by tooand we all Know the usual thing that happens in the cryptocurrency cycle, so I don't think everyone rushed to sell for the fact that the price sloped; as for me, I think there's nothing to lose when you keep HODLing 'em bitcoins, and if (only you bought them at the right time too)...
Thirdly, this is the best time to buy cus - do you actually prefer to buy a commodity when it's less expensive or double the actual cost price?? If not, then you're wrong to have sold at this point cus you're actually losing; if you bought 'em previously above the current price, TAKE NOTE.

As for me I really dont know more about the trade or investment it was recently I join the bitcoin club by investing my first bitcoin in my wallet not having more knowledge about the trade or investment but I have lean from this forum seeing people talking about the risk involved in trading neither hearing them talking about how the bull market can go down at anytime, right now with my little experience I can see the bull market is going very down which means traders and investors are not making good things out of the crypto space, not even hearing about making profit right now,but they can only advice you to buy bitcoin and hold it for a long time up to 2to 3years, that is my own experience for now.

My year so far has been fantastic, although if your question is about investment, trading of bitcoin then it’s been a little bit boring but if it’s about the general aspect of Bitcoin then it’s awesome.

I made payment of my last house rent using bitcoin that was one of my biggest bitcoin joy as bank transfer and scarcity of fiat bewildered my country, Bitcoin and other crypto-currency has been a very good option and I believe the acceptance of crypto-currency in my area has increased as a result.

I don't intend becoming a bitcoin trader. I mainly see bitcoin as a potentially profitable investment sector. I have plans to keep buying and hodling my coin until I reach my long-term investment goal. My intention is to keep saving my side job income in bitcoin and use my full time job to settle my basic needs. Hopefully, if the price of bitcoin appreciates, I intend to use part of the funds to diversify my income base.

For now I am sticking to my monthly investment plans, maybe in six months I will be able to answer OP's question comfortably. But I know that with the current mini-bull run, some traders that bought bitcoin when it was less than $16,000 might have made some profit.

Just keeping to hold and the faith that I've already placed in on it. There's no need for to be worrying what it should do yearly because I know that we're always approaching to a better year.

If the year isn't good for you, don't dwell on it and do sometime for you to be back on track again. We have different situations and journeys to make, choose what you want to be and hardships will always be there.

But don't be discouraged by it. Because this year is very encouraging to the market and it happens every time we're approaching to the next halving of bitcoin.

It's just how it's been the past year; the only joy now is that bitcoin is trading above $28,000, and I hope the price will continue. I can sell a little of my holdings if I see $50,000 this year, but I don't think that the speculated price will be possible. Even if the price drops, that is also an advantage to buying. If I was good at future trading, this price spike would give me a good chance of taking advantage of the market.

Like every year, this year also the price of Bitcoin will increase at the same rate. The way the Bitcoin market is currently growing will reach the target of Bitcoin very soon. And will create new records of Bitcoin in the future. If you invest from this market then there is risk of profit yet it is considered a good time to invest. Because the price of Bitcoin has not so much been bullish yet but rather is flat so now is the right time to investing.

There is not much difference between this year and the last year, I wish that Bitcoin makes a new low because I still have the most money in stablecoins, and I am not satisfied with the amount of Bitcoin I was still able to gather, now that Bitcoin has rejected the 30ish price target, maybe we can see 24,000$ again, but all this won't last, we only have few months left, if 2024 gets here it is over for any DCA strategies because in 2024 you will be buying at a higher price and new loads of money will start getting into crypto.

2023 is the last opportunity for Bitcoin accumulators to get what they can before it's too late.

I'm not having a very good time with Bitcoin at the moment. I have yet to find my investment success to invest in my high market. Sometimes I feel a lot of volatility because of the volatility in the Bitcoin market. I have always felt the market in this dumping market. Because I invested in the high market and could not exploit this dumping market. But if I find success in my investment then I will always look forward to such opportunities.

Yeah on my end this 2023 year is off to a pretty good start. The rate is doing some interesting things and I'm pretty optimistic about the rest of the year regarding price of BTC in FIAT.

We solved a block with Willi during a blockparty, sharing 6.25 BTC with ten of us was a very positive experience for my wallet.

The very negative side of the beginning of this year is the difficulty of mining which has increased incredibly. Also, the fees are really high with all this Ordinals mess.

So I'm happy with these first months, optimistic for the future, but still a bit worried about what will happen to us as small miners in the coming months and years.

The ambient disorder (Europe in crisis with the war in Ukraine, global and American economic and banking crisis) seems for the moment to benefit Bitcoin. We'll see how it evolves, the road will still be bumpy :)

For me, bitcoin has always been a long-term investment, and I don't think about my investment in the short term, what will be in a year or in a few months, but over a period of several years.
Constantly monitoring bitcoin price movements and making decisions based on daily price movements is not a smart strategy.
You have to have a long-term investment strategy and make decisions based on that strategy, not based on daily price movements.
Based on that, I can say that I am very happy with the current state of the crypto market and bitcoin. Everything is going according to plan and according to my wishes  :D

Mine started not that so good, but still I'm optimistic like you've said, I also share the same sentiment as you do since I view bitcoin as a long-term investment. I'm sure this is only the start but I am also positive this coming months will somehow change and will let fate decide for me along with my hard work and effort I'm pretty sure good results will follow.

Regarding strategy, sometimes I often don't follow my original plan but the end results are always the same since I have a clear view on what I really wanted with bitcoin. I don't really have a fix strategy since there can always be changes so I'm trying to be flexible as much as I want and being reasonable in making those decisions.

It has disheartened so many investors and traders, but we should be able  to understand that this is a market we shouldn't put much hopes on it,  because it will always rise and fall definitely, but for the traders they are on the  better side because majority of the traders always study the market before trading thereby been at the safe side, and as for me,I have always know that the market will  be at it's worst at some point, that shouldn't make individuals especially investors to go on selling their Bitcoins because of its drop on price or struggle to survive in order to meet ends needs, I will advice individuals not to give up on it because statistics has it that it will also rise at some point.

It's been a year and twice of my cryptocurrency journey in bitcoin and it goes well in a good run there are some times that the market goes into the down unexpectedly and of course one of your goal is to long term market price some of the people get trapped on their investment and takes time again before reaching a other ATH of the market but there's no assurance if after halving that's the time comes for the profit days.

So far this year is quite good for bitcoin holders, as well as mine. The market is showing some move also some got the chance to buy more bitcoins and some are able to sell at a good profit. But most of the people I know are not selling their coin though they can make some profit because they all bought under 17k$

In this forum people are enjoying their profit from bitcoin, I saw someone bought a house by selling his bitcoin.

Some time happy and another time not happy face years by years with Bitcoin, when Bitcoin pump drastically we are more happy because looking portfolio assets increase up but sad moment coming when bitcoin dump but have been late for selling assets. I think not problem due bitcoin have been more advantage and helped my financial more than four years.

Have complicated problem during more than five years invested in bitcoin but I am enjoyed with how many time earn much profit and one side we face cut loss due price drop drastically. I think still can't stoppable with Bitcoin going up next days later and not try for resigning become investor in bitcoin until how far exist the cryptocurrency world.

Honestly, it is difficult with my cryptocurrency investment right now, even though I haven't sold it all. I have, however, sold a portion of it because some coins' prices dropped more than I had anticipated, and I didn't think they would be able to survive again. As a result, I sold those coins, but I still have some remaining that I believe have  good potential. But the only issue with my bitcoin investment that makes me uneasy is that I haven't had a lot of bear market experience. But even so, I don't give it all the fuck to sell it all because I believe bull run period will also go. Infact I am yet to touch my Bitcoin portion.

The current year seems pretty good for the traders and early investors as well, I was expecting more from Q1 but still, it's more than enough for the starting of the dollar coaster journey in this cycle. I think 2023 is a more important year for Bitcoin ATh as compared to 2024 because it will set up a base for 2024 and a strong base can Devore the strong ATH. Some are happy as I said early and some got on board and these are the new joiners in the price hype of bitcoin.

As already we know that this Bull run is gonna get huge support from the Asian market but on the same level we are getting strong restrictions from the western world the ending is gonna be happy we know that from the cinematic world to reality.

Since the beginning of this new year till where we are now as it's almost towards the end of the first quarter of 2023, i have always been having positive results with my bitcoin investment and other cryptocurrencies since the year already is believed to have a good positive vibes since tye beginning with bitcoin price striving towards going over $28,000 and beyond but the resistance has been higher, am still optimistic in seeing better days ahead for a bullrun we've alwa expected.
