Althoughh I am newcomer, I have parused this forum and the following are some of the viewpoints I have developed:

Once you have earned a merit, you automatically earn the half value of that in sendable merits. With 1 merit you get 0.5 smerit, with 2, 1 and so on. With 2 earned merits, you can merit another user.

Your account was registered in 2021, so I suppose you know how the forum operates. "Growing your account" shouldn't even be your primary focus. Reading and gaining more knowledge should be top priority. You can also use what you have to learn about Bitcoin and other things in this forum to help other new members who may ask questions in the future. Merits will just come in naturally.

Never seen 0.5 smerits, the minimum sMerit one can get is 1. So, 1 merit = 0 merits, 2 merits = 1 merit.

These are enough!
The merit will come to you even without knowing you as long as you've created a valuable post.

Don't also interact with a topic that you don't know or you have zero knowledge about, it will create spam and the chances of having merit will stay away.

Theoretically, while it's not a whole number, it can't be seen.

I am not sure why you have a two year break from 2021 to 2023 and when come back, you made this topic.

If you search, you will surely find many topics about it and this topic is unnecessary.

Probably because that account is an alt, he has been on the forum with another one during this time and now he wants to rank up this one. He has done one thing that usually attracts merits: open a thread, talk about merits, do it in Beginners and Help and be a newbie.

I'm not saying it's wrong what he's doing, this account of mine is also an alt. Well, maybe trying to covertly pretend he's new to the forum, when it's clear from the post he's been around for a while.

The last point of making good friend does not mean that it can be used as an excuse to give each other.

When you think that Merits is everything then it is because you want to get income from this forum it is not wrong but using all means will damage your account later.

Probably due to the fact that several of his alternative accounts were recently destroyed for using ChatGPT.
Another thing is the outrage that these stupid robots begin to write various crap about the life of the forum, while other equally stupid users copy all this nonsense in the hope of getting at least one merit.
OP, this forum is not for you if you have not received a single merit in two years, but have only learned how to cheat with other people's texts.

But don't say that since you joined this forum, you have only managed to "develop an account" with knowledge of the forum's merit system, which is actually not knowledge that should be studied seriously. You will slowly figure it out the more you explore the forums and start contributing.
This forum is a great place to exchange information which is honestly a shame if you ignore it for a long time.

I, for one, will never send merit to AI-generated posts. Human brains only, please.

How are you newcomer since you registered your account almost 2 years ago? Or you maybe forgot to check one of the alt accounts you decided to use for this weak merit fishing attempt?

Anyway, don't expect to get any with the text that obviously looks like its been written by one of those chatbots.

I'm not sure if this is true because you won't get merit if your post is not constructive. Please understand that if your post is meaningless and does not help the forum, especially for newbies, you will not get any merit from them.

If it is not the purpose of the merit, why did they put it there when it is nothing.

Think about it:
If you see a good post that helped you a lot, wouldn't you send him a merit? Yes of course.
And surely if you see that almost all of his posts are helpful you will admire him, and then you can say that he has a lot of knowledge, and you will respect him.

No one is asking you of merits :o. am here to impact life positively not what you think sir.

You cannot create any impact if you cannot create your own original contents to post here since if you post a AI generated text your post will be nonsense to people here. Try to create change for yourself first before trying to inspire others since if you can create a original inspiring post maybe there are people would follow to read up ewch thread you create.

Don't be harsh to other member pointing out your mistakes but rather learn from it because it can also help you to grow.

If you weren't lazy and just trying to intimidate others with your forum status, you should have provided evidence to back up your claims. I'm not as eager as you are to promote gambling as a way to make a living. I am prepared to face someone like you because I have nothing to lose, whereas you have everything to lose because you make your living by promoting gambling. I base my happiness not on whether or not people respond positively to my messages, but on how I treat others, which is what truly matters. However, unless my account is banned, I am fully prepared to face you.

If you are not interested in writing something of your own and use these AI based prompts to come up with these sort of threads then yes you don't deserve merits at all.People are just utilising ChatGPT these days to create long posts and think they can't be caught but human brain is what makes you knowledgeable.

That's what I was wondering at the first impact as he has himself written only 7 posts and not a single merit for more then a year and still giving such merit based advice makes me laugh so they need to give up doing all this from alt accounts.

Merit is not knowledge, merit shouldn't be the actual goal of community or else it will destroy the actual discussion and encouragement from the fellow members for engaging into a discussion.

Power of merit includes ranking your account and nothing else, even you can do anything by being a newbie itself with very few limitations so don't be to much obsessed with merits and try to make some with no efforts like this thread. :D

It is a misconception to see the forum as a social media platform. The forum is not a social media platform, it is not a place to make friends. It is possible to make friends here, but the forum is not the place for it as you do that at your own risk. Most members will not reply to personal messages that do not concern the forum no matter what because their interest here is strictly learning via interaction and not for socialising.  As newbies you are also advised to be careful of the kind of messages from other forum members that you receive in you personally, do not easily trust because you want to make a new friend.

It is not a whole number, so it does not show up on the merit page but that is the smerit added to a user when they receive 1 merit.

To understand it better, you have 3 earned merit and 1 smerit. You actually have 1.5 smerits but it does not show up like that until you get another 0.5, when you receive an extra 1 merit. Altogether you now have 4 merits and 2 smerits.

I count all these aforementioned points as irrelevant and not applicable to the merit system because:

1. Merit does not have a particular requirements needed before you can have it, which means there's no unlocking and locking key to have access to getting merits or not.

2. Since you can fulfill all the points you have mentioned and make a post but yet received no single merit means clearly that merit is giving base on individuals judgement on the post he comes across to, which he feels touched him and wanted to merit it on his own wish, and this does not including making a full page post before you can get merit, you can only make a single line and get merited.
