It is not like everyone is going after crypto gambling but after COVID-19 the business of online gambling has increased more than offline gambling. Although fiat online gambling users are more than crypto ones, they tend to visit an offline casino after a few online sessions as they miss the atmosphere of an offline casino.

The three points you mentioned are absolutely on point, for me personally, I have never played on online fiat casino, I remember playing with fiat in my early days of gambling either twice or thrice in an offline casino, then I stopped because I feared that a family member or someone that knew me could see me and report me to my parents.

I think that your points are fair, though I would not say that they are the only reasons that cryptocurrency gambling is supposedly more addictive than fiat gambling. It would be complex and would vary from individual to individual. I will agree that the more accessible, instantaneous and sometimes, more anonymous (I say sometimes as most casinos will ask for KYC if you play with any significant amount and therefore the experience is not really anonymous) nature would enable addiction more than what fiat/offline gambling would.

Not true at most of gambling sites nowadays when they need to have license and have to meet KYC/ AML enforcement from authorities.

The 3 reason mentioned doesn’t affect my addiction on my gambling since that is just the currency and it doesn’t affect or give joy to my gambling experience. Maybe on the convenience of deposit but I don’t pay much attention on anonymity when gambling I’m just using it for fun. I’m more concern on the outcome because it’s nonsense that you are playing anonymous if you are keep losing on the game itself.

All the points taken is about the cryptocurrency convenience and not about fator that gives joy on gambling. Fiat and crypto are just currency, it doesn’t give impact to the game.

Well some of the reasons are cool but I don't think Anonymity is the reason because reputable casinos are driving gamblers to KYC making them disclose their identify which is not the purpose of cryptocurrency.

Personally I think one of the major reason is the speed of deposit or withdrawal without any third party. That could be addictive that because nothing encumbers a bettor from depositing so a gambler is at liberty to always refund anything he runs out of coins. The speed of deposit delivery at 1 confirmation is more comfortable than playing through fiat.

It can achieved if you know how to pass KYC. One the biggest problem of online KYC system is that you as a user are not physically present. There are several ways to pass KYC without you as a user providing your documents or face. I won't go into this topic in brief but if you know the right keyword then you can easily find the hack on Google. Other than that there are a few casinos that do allow users to gamble without any going through KYC.

It baffles me why a gambler would be thrilled with the high volatility. I mean you're already risking just from converting fiat to a fluctuating cryptocurrency so why add another? What you say is to the point and I agree. But anonymity is probably the main thing that crypto gamblers consider for gambling because we can use crypto without depositing it through our bank account. This will protect us if there is "control" from the bank at any time so that they will suspect that the funds in the bank are being sent to the gambling account.

i can agree with your point on this. once you are acquainted with crypto, it seems it is hard to use fiat in your gambling activities. the advantages of using crypto casinos has been tackled here in the forum many times over. and one distinct advantage is playing without the submission of kyc docs, in which, you will be required to do so if you are gambling in fiat especially if you are using your debit or credit card.

OP your points are absolutely right. My first gambling almost landed me in a "hot soup" (problem). I remember vividly clear then back in my secondary School days where I had to gamble on a final match and fortunately, the team I bet for won the match and I got blackmailed by one of the staff there to share my wins. I was dumb founded as to how I got noticed there and it was a family friend for that matter. I had no option than to share my wins with an agreement to remain silent. Since after that experience I had to stop visiting offline casinos because of my experience. It was a terrible experience because I felt threatened as my identity was revealed.

You have valid pointers there but in general, there is no such thing as the [i"]TOP 3 reasons"[/i] to consider why cryptocurrency gambling is more addictive than fiat gambling, as that was all subjective to different gamblers.

Ah you have a good experience then, since you won something and have to share it with another person,  your experience quite different from mind, I hard a ugly experience with a physical casino were I get robbed on my way from the casino because the thief's belief that anyone coming out of the casino went to cash out their winnings but in my case it was not so.

None of these seem to be true, any more at least. It's ironic that you list "immediate gratification" yet state that cryptocurrency has to be converted from and to fiat currency, do you not seem the paradox there? You're adding an extra step which would slow things down on both sides of the trade, fiat casinos are way faster in that sense. I'm not sure that anonymity is necessarily a good thing either, because if you are allowed to be anonymous then chances are the casino owner will take steps to be anonymous too, that's all fine when things are going well, but you could wake up one day and find your balance has vanished into thin air. Addiction has nothing to do with how people gamble whether crypto-gambling or fiat gambling as long as it's gambling. It's the common and usual trait that will be seen in most gamblers and it depends now how these gamblers will still remain responsible and disciplined even addicted.

Just to add on the list that you provided, I think it also boils down to convenience and security.

Imagine, earning cryptocurrency is relatively easier due to the various methods available online. People transact and mine in order to gain cryptocurrencies and this gives them the currency in order to try and use in gambling. In terms of security, gambling using crypto is relatively safer due to the various methods and KYCs being introduced nowadays.

With the rise of online gambling and its popularity, I really think that cryptocurrency gambling would continue to rise its popularity, thereby introducing more changes and innovations in this platform.

What do you mean by safer? I do think that regardless if it's crypto-gambling or fiat online gambling, the way the betting is placed should be safe and funds are stored in secured storage. Overall though, once we deposit either crypto or fiat in an online gambling site, we are already risking our funds here to a third-party platform where in fact, we don't have any control of our own money and will leave nothing once they turned into scams.

Uhh I don't think the medium here matters really, chips or crypto, you can easily convert them to whatever you can immediately use no matter the time.
