Title: Which one would you rather work for
Post by: FirmWars on March 21, 2023, 12:16:10 PM
If you are called upon to work for a decentralized exchange like Uniswap or Binance exchange which is a Centralised exchange, which offers will you grant yes? Assuming the payment or salary is the exact same amount every month which one will you prefer to work for and why?

I will base my choice on the job specification and have to analyze which of the two fits my qualifications best and which of them will also give me enough free time to attend to my other side hustles and, at the same time, leisure.

Let me say for instance that they both need a community manager or support that can be active in one of their social channels. I will go with Uniswap (a decentralized exchange) because they have fewer complaints daily than centralized exchanges like Binance.

Either will work for me.
I want to get into a job that I really like and it's a plus that they're exchanges and related to cryptocurrencies. And the role will be depending on what will be given to me.
I've got offers before during the ICO days where projects like B2B have been scaling and I've got no idea and was scared during that time that I might just compromise the trust that has given to me and that's why I've declined most of those job offers.

The both are centralized exchange and also the exchange are very good. In this description it only stated the same amount but not job description. I will rather know the kind of activities I will perform in the both exchanges before taking any part. For I love doing things am good at, after going through the work of each exchange, I will choose the one that I will deliver almost 100%.

My own reason of choosing the one I know very well is because when am ask to defend I will do it perfectly. Binance is my best exchange because is the exchange I use very well but if I eventually find out that I could do the in Uniswap very I will go for Uniswap exchange, my opinion depends on the area am good at.

You have to see what skills do you have and what are their job requirements (tasks) for you.

You did not describe what you will do for them, like a customer service support (I guess).

Let me say for instance that they both need a community manager or support that can be active in one of their social channels. I will go with Uniswap (a decentralized exchange) because they have fewer complaints daily than centralized exchanges like Binance.
Exchanges will do their customer support via support tickets officially opened at their websites.

Customer support via social media channels are very vulnerable to scammers and impersonators and I am sure those channels if used for customer support, are only supplementary channels, not main ones.

Few complaints from DEX and CEX, are you sure? It depends on many factors like how many customers they have, how smooth or laggy, buggy their platforms are as those factors contribute a lot to needs of customer support and complaints.

I would chose the place where I see I have more room for improvement and career building, whether they are decentralized or centralized wouldn't be any factor for me when it comes to job.

Honestly I would prefer to work with Binance over Uniswap. I'm not saying that Binance is better than Uniswap, both of them have the best service for me, but Binance seems more rational to choose compared to Uniswap because most people know Binance better than Uniswap, especially since Binance is a large multi-national company and has worked at this company was a good experience for me, so I will choose Binance.

However, if the decentralized exchange is quite popular like Uniswap, and the centralized exchange is not popular, I prefer to work on Uniswap. It's not about working at DEX or CEX, it's about the credibility of which company I work for.

Choosing Binance is a no-brainer. We all know how much having a working experience with Binance boost your CV with future employers. Aside the confidence boost, Binance is the bigger and you will have enough room for improvement.

If you were to decide between working for a DEX or a centralized exchange, it would depend on your personal preferences and skills. Working for a DEX would require knowledge of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols. On the other hand, working for a centralized exchange would require knowledge of traditional financial systems, trading, and risk management

Both are worth the trouble of choice right now for me as I'll be open to work with either exchange's but for the purpose of this thread I'll throw myself on binance maybe cause of their wider publicity they have, wider usage/users and the prestige the exchange company has own for itself that when you mention binance almost everyone in 9/10 persons has an idea of the what the name stands for and these attributes alone has a way of affecting me positively as a staff and even after i may have stop working with them it's big build up to my cv wherever It goes it would be treated with some preference

As a lover of Bitcoin and one who wishes to promote only Bitcoin and no other alt, I will choose to work with Binance over Uniswap, reason been that since Uniswap is a decentralized exchanges who only offers Ethereum base token "ERC20 tokens and pegged coins such as Wrap Bitcoin (I.e WBTC), I will rather go for Binance who thou it's centralized, but at least offers buy, sell, swapping and trading of Bitcoin with much higher market liquidity compared to Uniswap. Since you already said salary will be the same.

If I could see from your perspective you might be looking at which is less risky. Exchanges running into troubles doesn’t mean all employees will also be affected. Mostly it is mainly the CEOs that gets affected. For me I would easily pick Binance because it seems more easier and at my place here it is one of the most popular amongst exchanges. And just like CryptoHeadlineNews stated the lack of bitcoin on uniswap is already a huge cap between the two.

Both are cryptocurrency exchanges so I guess the work demands will be similar but the environment may differ, so if I am to choose between binance and uni swap I will choose Binance.

This is because binance happened to be the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange and at that, the payment will be higher and there is will more room for me to develop, so I may base my choice on the above mention reasons.

It is very lucky if you can get a job on the Uniswap or Binance exchange according to the skills you have.
But if you have to choose where to live with the same salary, you might prefer Binance, because Binance is the most popular Exchange today.
It is everyone's dream to join their team.

But it seems to be a dream that is difficult to achieve, we will see how many people want to enter and can become a Binance team.
and the skills required are certainly not just any skills, it takes people who are competent in their fields, as Blockchain developers, programming etc.

But if I have to be part of the cleaning service I also want to, LOL,
the important thing is to be part of them and be able to monitor what coins will be listed :v

Ok is probably trying to juxtapose both opportunities cause the forum always talks about how one should avoid centralized exchanges and particularly not use it for storage.

Knowledge of that would weigh little in a decision like what job to take, priorities would be job description, if it's a remote job and the payment structure as well as room for promotion. Majority would work for Binance cause it's a much bigger company and improves your chances of landing a future role in another similar company. This does not mean the user is encouraging people to store their fundson CEXes.

Payment/salary is very important to consider before taking a job, so also are some other factors. If two companies offer you a job with same amount as pay, you automatically begin to consider other things so you know which of them will be better for you to work in.

Some examples of these other things to consider are;
- If you are required to work offline, you consider the proximity and distance from your house to both offices and how far you will have to go everyday.
- Working hours.
- Working environment if it is an offline job too.

Considering these factors since salary is the same can help in your decision making process.

Assuming both jobs would be the same, I'd get the same hours, the same position, same paycheck, I'd choose a decentralized exchange simply because I don't trust CZ too much and I'd rather work for something that fits my attitude towards the crypto space.

That said, I wouldn't ignore an offer from a centralized exchange if there was no other, or if the salary was twice what the decentralized one would offer. We're talking about a legit company that I don't suspect of foul play offering me a well paid job. You'd have to be very dumb or very rich to walk out on that

I prefer decentralised exchanges to Centralize exchanges normally. So, i will prefer to work with centralised exchanges because it will make me develop more coding knowledge. No need for too much marketing and the job will always make me improve as using decentralised exchanges have been adding more to my knowledge since they arrived.

Whichever is good to work with but just as we do focused on identity, this means working with uniswap is somehow makes you anonymously because uniswap is decentralized Exchange while Binance is a centralized exchange, but the fact that Binance is Cex I would prefer working with them because I think is more convenient for me, I will best suits in as a customer support or LC agent. Binance would have more complaint than uniswap I love being occupied with job and task.

Joining a team or company that shares the same vision and goal with you is the pathway to job satisfaction and fulfilment. Working because of money could lead to frustration. I don't believe in the centralization of cryptocurrencies because it could lead to loss of funds and privacy invasion. It will be self deception to work for a company you don't believe in.

I will gladly work for a decentralized platform even if the pay is lower than that of the centralized exchange. Since the salaries are the same it it will be a great pleasure to be part of a team that promotes privacy and upholds the principle of becoming your own banks. If you are a strong believer of decentralization, you must act what you believe in.

People don’t act like it on interviews with recruiters but the paycheck is a big WHY people seek employment at companies, assuming the salary I will have to consider other pros and cons. The company that gives me more flexibility will be top choice. I love working remotely so the company that lets me work from home is the one I’m choosing, others factors include paid time off, insurance benefits e.t.c I’m sure I would do pretty at my role in either company.

I don't like working under any companies so I would have turned them down even if I have the right qualifications, I have the dream of building something big for myself and myself alone, I don't like someone bossing me around.

If you like anonymity it is better to work for uniswap, the law can't decide to hunt them because they don't have any identity, unless I am wrong.

I will without a doubt select the decentralized exchange because I believe it is the same reason we are here, decentralization advocates. If I already have excellent financial security, even if the salary is a little lower, I will work for the decentralized exchange. Having said that, Binance is the biggest crypto exchange, so it has a better chance of moving up in a position in the future and earning more money than most other exchanges, like Uniswap. So, aside from the exact salary, benefits, and the number of hours worked, I will choose an exchange if it offers more growth and commitment in the future.

I will rather work for the most reputable and advance exchange that would be needing my effort to grow the exchange. I will also run a research myself to see the one that I could work without stressing my entire life with too much work load. This a big offer and you don't have to mess with it, but I would advise you to go for the one your mind wants you to choose.

Binance is centralized exchange and is the biggest centralized exchange in the cryptocurrency world which means that your work with them is going to be for a long term. Also. Uniswap is a decentralized exchange which deals with altcoins built on the Ethereum Blockchain. You need to measure the benefits you will be get from any of these exchanges so you will know the one that would suit your interest.

In investing, I will limit the use of centralized exchanges, only using them when necessary and for my purposes. But in my work, I will not rely on the criteria of decentralization or centralization to work. I will consider other factors such as benefits, incentives, salary as well as career advancement opportunities. Whichever party meets my requirements, I will work for that party. Like any other traditional job, choose a company that meets your needs and desires.

I will like to work with CZ, he is a smart human being and I know I have many things to learn from him when it concerns smartness, business and risk taking.
Working in a decentralized exchanges is good for people who want to contribute and keep the decentralization active especially when the code is open source.
But I doubt the pay of a centralized exchange like Binance would be same as decentralized. I think centralized should pay higher.

And of course, to see my career growth too as I am very positive that I can develop my best version when I am working in a stable and secure company.

Huh?
Whatchu mean by if I'm supposed to choose between two centralized exchange, which I'm gonna go for? Or was that an overwrite? Cus I don't understand... AFAIK, decentralized exchange won't even have a need to call you upon request to work for them... whatchu got to offer??
Well, if I'm choosing, I'd go for binance; not for the fact that I really trust the whole centralized process...it's not even about their 5 years of existence either, FTX was 3, then they suddenly disappeared... I just think I might comfortable with the proceed, you know what I'm saying?

I do think that working in Binance would have a peaceful environment knowing that you are around with cryptocurrency enthusiasts. You can freely discuss your thoughts and share your knowledge and everyone would understand what you are talking about. It is like you are talking to a group of people who completely understands what you are dealing with- not just some random person who listens for the sake of being a good colleague.

Personally, I would definitely go for Binance if I had the opportunity. My knowledge in cryptocurrency would increase due to the number of people who are geniuses. I guess being surrounded by them would also make me one!

When compared to Binance exchange to Uniswap the winner is clear, Binance exchange is huge and yes I will go for Binance exchange because of this, I can also proudly talk about Binance exchange because of the popularity and its also centralized, if we are to ask 100s of people 80 of them will know what Binance is all about, even if they are not users they must have heard about Binance from somewhere.

Uniswap is a decentralized exchange, also it's less known by people, Uniswap is only big in crypto space, but out of the crypto space, many people don't know what Uniswap is all about.

Moreover, Uniswap is a decentralized exchange, I think the team are not transparent, to keep the decentralized root in check.

Possibly with the biggest benefits or exposure that I could get from. If its the same salary then the one with good package offer will win me. I think I'll definitely choose Binance for whatever work that I could simply fo for them. They are an international company with a lot of affiliated projects and companies. Surely everyone would love to be part of them when it comes to job opportunity.

You use the word (called) at the beginning of the topic, there is a very basic difference between called and apply. In the two choices there must be one decision, if I am called on one of the exchanges mentioned above, I will choose the one that offers the job that I like. Each offer certainly has different job criteria even though both of them provide the same amount of salary.
Someone will feel comfortable working on a background that is mastered because they can adapt quickly and the potential that is given is also mutually beneficial.
