I wanted to share this, I am imagine most people have seen Greenpeace's hit piece on Bitcoin (paid for by Chris Larson).   I do NOT support this cause at all; however, I really like the art from Von Wong and from what I hear, he is rethinking his position on Bitcoin and it's impact to the environment.

In any case, long story short, you can get a free sticker.  I requested one, as I find it an interesting free collectible that will never see the light of day!  A win/win if a pro-Bitcoiner gets one of these:

Again, I do NOT support the code change, but do appreciate the art and feel this whole initiative will eventually be one of the best things for people to understand Bitcoin's cooperation with alternative energy.

They will never be able to change the code. Bitcoin is the most energy efficient system ever created for what it does. Gives property rights to everyone on earth, will reduce the amount of wars and take us out of this clown world once and for all.

Cool find. I’m sure this is the sort of thing that will be sought after by someone someday. For me, they lost me with the phone number requirement. I guess maybe I could try giving them a false number and see what happens. I should probably have a throwaway google number for things like this. Thanks for sharing with the class.

My thought is every sticker hoarded by a collector and believer of BTC avoids the chance of someone getting tricked by the propaganda.  I ordered ones for several relatives...lol

btw: Ridiculous idea to just change some code to reduce Bitcoins energy consumption by 99%. PoW or what exactly is this "amazing idea"?

After a couple months of waiting, I just received my sticker in my mailbox today

Sweet!  I was beginning to think Greenpeace realized they messed up.  Looking forward to getting mine!

Ya, I had totally forgotten about this. I signed up to have a couple of them sent to me. Not sure what I’ll do with them, but it’s funny to think about all the resources this dumbass campaign wasted just to get Bitcoiners some stickers they will be proud of because the campaign was done so poorly. With this type of idiocy, I’m surprised Greenpeace isn’t a government entity.

Well, I got 4!  I signed up with my wife, my nephews and myself...lol    Best of all, it cost Greenpeace 12.5 cents each in postage for this blunder.   This has to go down in history as their biggest mistake (overall, I support Greenpeace in most causes, this was completely misguided).

Yeah I think I maybe got one or 2 coming ... Offer is over/dead now tho... :P

  Received this envelope today which I thought was junk mail...and I usually dont bother opening at all....Until I held against the light and saw a round object....opened and it turned out to be the sticker! Forgot all about it and pleasantly surprised... :D

These stickers are going to be rare. I wonder how many people actually took advantage of their offer. Probably very little

Damn. I’m betting I threw mine out unless it hasn’t come yet. I got notification that one came to my post office box so I’ll have to be more careful combing through that mess of advertisements. I feel like advertising has ruined mail and telemarketers are trying their best to ruin phones being useful for calls. It’s also possible I don’t take mail or phone calls seriously enough. I do enjoy messing with telemarketers.

Useless tidbit: As I was typing this in a lobby, someone named Craig Wright just came in. I did a double take.

Given the fact they allow re-printing by yourself I wonder if there is a way to discern the original Greenpeace stickers from custom prints?

I finally got mine so don’t worry if yours hasn’t arrived yet to anyone who may be waiting. They’re still slowly making their way out to people. The envelope does look sketchy and cheap, which was also my first impression of the stickers. They’re a lot thinner and cheaper seeming than I had expected, which I guess is normal considering they were free. They seem easily replicable though.

Meh, you aren't missing much really. Just a cheap ass sticker the artist now regrets as I understand it.

Wasn't impressed either, but I've been a sticker collector for many years lol..

I love that people enjoyed this image so much. It was so ridiculous, the obvious thing to do was to take its design and use it. Kudos to whatever artist put this together and made it a reality. I really appreciated seeing it. Enjoy!

Maybe I am missing something and this is a different sculpture / artwork.
However the original was a (this?) sculpture and the sticker just a photo of the thing. My guess it was now transported to some other place and put in front of an art galary on the street (as seen on the picture).
