Title: Re: Funny bitcoin addresses. Post by: BTCurious on December 13, 2011, 10:41:12 AM A few million addresses will only be a few hundred megabytes ;)
You can get addresses like that easier with the vanitygen: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0 Title: Re: Funny bitcoin addresses. Post by: damnek on December 13, 2011, 10:45:02 AM Pointless thread.
Title: Re: Funny bitcoin addresses. Post by: BTCurious on December 13, 2011, 10:47:58 AM I prefer saving them all, this way, I can just do a simple 'search' rather than have to generate to a target. But the vanitygen does ~10 million keys per second, if you use your GPU. That's too much to save.Searching > generation. Pointless thread. Then go read a different one.Title: Re: Funny bitcoin addresses. Post by: silverchair on December 14, 2011, 04:13:29 AM I guess its coaccident and not coincidence.

It's like having pre-computed keys [rainbow table] vs waiting to calculate the keys when you get it. Sometimes it's just better to have the pre-computed keys. Mind you, I'm just using my CPU, because it's idle. >.> |
