In order to reduce the number the low-value posts, I had PowerGlove (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3486361) design a state-of-the-art, AI-enhanced CAPTCHA which will identify all low-IQ people. You'll have to complete the CAPTCHA before posting.

You can adjust the CAPTCHA's size with the +/- buttons in the upper left and right. If you post without solving it properly at first, you can go back and edit your post to try again. The CAPTCHA gets more difficult in more active topics, and it gets more difficult the more you post. If you experience poor performance, typing "\" changes a setting which may improve it.

Right now the CAPTCHA is in beta testing, so it only shows a warning banner for likely spammers, but in 2 weeks everyone who fails the CAPTCHA will be immediately banned, so you'd better get used to it!

I'm very excited about this! People have been spamming the forum with low-effort posts for far too long.

Hopefully this system separates the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.

I'm guessing that there might be some pushback on this one, but I think it's important for people to remember that this is only in beta for now, and that any issues that are discovered with the CAPTCHA will be fixed long before anyone gets banned for not completing it properly.

There's some really cool stuff planned for the final version, including much harder game modes and a pretty sophisticated anti-cheat system based on a polymorphic transpiler that mutates the JavaScript every few hours. Exciting times.

Took me less than 5 minutes to get those 11 coins. There are times where the game goes fast, and then immediately go slow. I don't know if it's my internet connection or what.

If you can see the CAPTCHA but your clicks don't seem to register properly then you can try the keyboard controls instead: click the CAPTCHA one time to give it focus, then use almost any key to play. If you need to resize it, then the keyboard equivalents for the minus/plus buttons are [ and ].

My 1st post on April 1st and i'm a spammer, fuck!!!! Now I will have to play the game so I don't get labeled. My screen kept moving up or down when I'd click my arrows. Is that happening for anyone else? Made it really difficult to get the required coins.

have you guys checked the coins that needed to be collected on World Observer to finish the captcha? currently, you have to collect 42 coins to finish the captcha. it's ridiculous  :D

seems like if someone posted before you while you are still doing your captcha you'd have to re-do it and post it before someone posted again.

LOL after waking up from a long sleep and wanting to post it turned out that a NEW CAPTCHA appeared which required collecting 5 Points or more with the Flappy Bird game.

Just tried to pass it, but it turns out that I am a spammer. made several attempts but always failed "Tremor Hand Effect"  

CAPTCHA is quite interesting with the Flappy Bird game, is there no other type of game to choose from such as Mobile Legend, Free Fire, or Call Of Duty (Making gamers gather here).

For those newbies it may look like hell, they can never ignore it because they will be flagged, moreover, if they continue to fail they will be blocked.

I'm already getting a hang of it. All I needed was just a bit of practice. I enjoyed playing this April fools' game, the only thing that I disliked is that once you have completed all the laps require for posting, the score immediately stops and it will just say "OK", I think it is much better if the score continues to tick even if you are done to see how long you will last and how many laps you can finish.

Sir, thanks for your effort to get the best for the forum. In my opinion, the requirement to collect up to 15 coins for a start on the game is not easy for novices like me that is not quite good in games. I suggest reducing it to 3 or even 2 for a start since you need to complete the whole 15 in a row without failing. So far, I am still struggling to pass the captcha and I hope to pass it. Please Sir, consider reducing the penalty even after the two weeks beta testing to allow time to gain more experience on the game.

In addition, I suggest 2 or 3 quiz questions about bitcoin or cryptocurrency or even basic English/Mathematics - to enhance our crypto knowledge as well as command in English and computational ability, just my opinion. Thanks.

It might be a good idea to "buy" some "coins" off yourself. You could use them to remove the spammer tags you have on your posts.

The secret is not to be afraid of falling, do not rush to jump, allow the bird to go low and only jump right before reaching the column,  so when it first starts, make a random jump then jump when close to the column, every coin requires 2 jumps, when the next column is tall delay the first jump, when it is short jump as soon as you pass the previous one.

Takes some getting used to but then it gets easy.

It takes a lot of effort to get 1 coin.

And at that time we were very scared to see something like that for the first time. Low quality posts that this year.  A warning is given at the top of his post as a spammer. Oh how I hate these platform games with their terrible graphics and terrible physics. I hated them when I was young and I still hate them, they are just so terrible :D
It's a nightmare to play them too specially at the arcades where you had to pay to lose because the physics made no sense and get frustrated. lol

We are all aware that this couldn't determine whether a member is a spammer or not. I know a there're people who hates to play this kind of games. It seems that the target score increases by one point every 5 minutes! If my reasoning is correct at 11.55pm (Teymos time) the target score should be 287.

The coin requirement fluctuates. My second post today required me collecting just 5 coins after the first asked for 52 coins. Now this one I'm making required 70 coins. Who knows, my next post today may require less than 20 coins. I think this is the hardest April Fool's prank theymos has pulled so far. I don't know if getting those coins is easier for those on PCs, unlike those of us on mobile phones.

Again, for those screaming this should be implemented in real life to curb spamming; don't be too sure that you will be able to make your regular posts, no matter how an excellent poster you think you're. This is a stringent measure.

This is mine as of today no joke. Pretty sure the one next to me will be a 100 or so. I wish there is a leaderboard for those who have passed and some little rewards as well. If this really isn't a prank and theymos actually decides to implement this, for sure there will be tons of complaints and almost nobody would remain here on this forum.  ;D Lucky enough this is only an event.

Haha, April fools everyone. This was really good one considering all past April fools. Otherwise I remember we consistently had only changes to the profile ranks, text were added and shrines were updated that’s all. I don’t know if such captcha and games were added previously or not but this made me laugh for sure.

To every pozzzul, there is always a root for always winning through. I thought this was a joke when I only needed less than 15 coins to pass the captcha, but now I am battling with the game to collect 36 coins. Whatever this is, if it's real, that means a lot of accounts are going to be banned because I have tried to get a good root to pass, but it seems like it's hypnotizing me. I feel like smashing my damn phone because I think it's the phone's flaw that keeps me from passing this game. Despite how good I am at playing Angry Birds but this captcha is so challenging.

Well it's better then GTA4. When i timed my bird movements just correctly i found the secret level where i could talk with the founder and got in to play the real game.
But don't think my computer can run it correctly, i get weird these weird glitches when ever gods are speaking to me.
Physics engine really kicks ass on the city mission where the tsunami hits to white house, and AI was acting so human like it freaked me out a little bit when it knew what i was thinking but in overall it was greatest experience of gaming history i ever had. I am not going to post screehots as that was permitted but what a ride!!
I can't wait to talk with people who found it.

I think this game is impossible to solve on mobile, I have tried and tried but the game graphics just keeps breaking and thus making it impossible to finish and solve. Although its kinda time consuming as I am kinda stuck here playing this difficult game, nice one theymos and power glove for the April present :D

Unfortunately, spammers have become able to issue publications of good quality, and they do not deserve more than using a very easy chat application that relies on artificial intelligence. It's getting hard to distinguish between real spammers and good publishers.
I hope that this will be an opportunity to remind you that the forum is an open space for discussions and build skills, and that using any means that do not serve those goals is necessarily a deception and a waste of time.

If i post i will be labeled spammer why because i wasn't able to complete game probably will be ban in 2 weeks.

What about those that posted off from the discussion eg, "Hi, Joined, F*ck you, or that are not in line with the discussion and they played game ( CAPTCHA) then pass it do we still call those people good quality poster or spammer as well because i don't think this AI can really detects a spammer properly.
Any way I am not against any implementation by the forum, if any one here can do it then i can also do it, it will only require time to get used to it before its too late, few of my post i passed it but haven to collect about 81 coins to be able to post is like a hell to me.

The most annoying part of this is that whenever you fails you starts afresh again then it starting reading the coin left to solved the task.

I tried using my mobile device and it was kind of hard and time-consuming I was thinking using my pc will be kind of easier but I just got myself a 10x of what I saw on my mobile.

I wish this isn't an April Fools' prank. I wasn't aware of the date when I made my first post today, so it came as a surprise when I encountered a captcha asking me to collect two coins. I failed to complete it and posted without the captcha. Afterwards, I noticed a red warning and attempted to edit my post. However, I was prompted to solve a new captcha that required me to collect four coins. It took me 30 minutes, but I managed to complete it successfully.

Unfortunately, for this post, I was required to collect 80 coins, which would take me a year to complete. Consequently, I believe I will receive a spam warning.

A video game of that nature called Super Mario. This captcha-solving has brought back the memory of me playing Super Mario as a kid, this is the game I enjoy playing the most. I play it until I rescue the Queen from the dragon and grab all the coins.

Having said that, thanks, PowerGlove for bringing back my childhood memory of the Super Mario game. It's fascinating but it looks like my childhood's best game is giving me a tough time playing :'(

Captcha is very well done. But it takes a lot of effort to complete the captcha. It can be seen that a score between 10 and 20 can be easily completed. But some times it is asked to score 60 to 100 which is very difficult.

It would be much easier if you put a score between 1 and 20 inside this captcha game.

To those who are curios the game's title is Flappy Birdie Eating Bitcoin While Flying Through Green Pipes.
Triple A game that's available on all platforms, PS5, PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, PS0, PS-1, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Yuu, Nintendo Mii, and Windows 9, 97, and 99.

My honest review:
The game itself is challenging. Tapping your screen consecutively while focusing what your wife is yelling about surely does make it more interesting.
I love the fact that the pipes are green, not red or blue but green which signifies Bitcoin's stance in energy efficiency or that everyone just loves green. F u blue.
There are also easter eggs within the game. Like when you dive into the 69th pipe, you enter a new dungeon full of cats flying around with rainbow trailing behind them.
If you happen to dodge all those cats, you will come face to face with the dungeon master, the final boss, his name is Jerry (no, not the rat).
This final boss can 1 hit delete you out of the milky way galaxy just by raising his pinky finger, so watch out for that.
I find it easy to get by the final boss by giving him shitty game lore that I usually think randomly when I'm about to fall asleep or drunk AF.
Another method is that you could also offer him lambanog or sukang pinakurat which instantly puts him to sleep.

Game Pros:
Superb Game Design.

I'll try to explain bro. When it starts, click on it couple times and the bird will go to the top and after about 1 minute it will start collecting all the gold automatically but don't stop to clicking .

After trying for like an hour and a half or more on my last post, I just happened to pass it just once, which required me to earn about 38 points, which I luckily did, though I can't say it was all by my power; it was all luck. 
 
Posting my reply here now after just a few minutes of passing the captcha, I am required to pass another 99, which looks so ridiculous to me. 
If this will really stand, I could have suggested it's been done and pass one every 24 hours. It will really reduce the stress and put things on the right track.
 

If you just collect the coins and don't crash, it's quite easy, even at 99!

Kinda curious about solving the captcha but it looks like a never ending game and this will never be solve. From what I notice I believe only users who are able to solve the "New Captcha game which is said to be required before posting are those that didn't have the "This user is a suspected spammer!" above their posts.

At first, I was wondering how I was given a red tag for spamming but letter do I know that it was just fun, although thanks for the thread as this is my first experience on this.

Finally, I’m part of the 99 coins club.

I did not found this game until last year and on my phone I could only get 7 or 8 coins, but on a PC thanks the keyboard this is way easier, still the game is pretty unforgiving as a single mistake makes you to start all over, still it was fun.

For those that may still like to see if they can get 99 coins I can give the next tips.

Forget about the coins, you can always get more as long as you do not crash, concentrate on surviving.
Concentrate on the upcoming floor pipe.
The pipes have two sections, the thinnest and the widest one, most of your clicks or keystrokes should be around the approximate height in which those two sections join on the next floor pipe.
If you feel like you are too close to the floor pipe and you are about to crash then try to delay your click or keystroke until you are closer to the ground, this will make the bird to fly for a longer distance and create space between the bird and the floor pipe, while at the same time it will improve your angle and diminish the chances of crashing with the sky pipe.
If you feel like you are too far away from the floor pipe then give your click or keystroke a little bit earlier, this will make the bird to fly for a shorter distance and shorten the distance between the bird and the floor pipe.
Grind. ;)

Getting 30 to 60 coins with this strategy is easy but getting 99 coins will require that you grind a little bit.

At first I was afraid because it was totally strange to me. When I saw the "This user is a suspected spammer!", in the midnight in the Utopia application, I was like "what have done to received such serious tag from the system software and thinking all ways to remove it from the post but there was nothing I could do.

So what did was to check others users in the forum in different boards and I came the discovery that it was not only me but many so my fear was released a bit. Then later I checked the news feedback and I saw the "New CAPTCHA now required before posting" and I read everything to understand it. Then the application which I have deleted because of fear was reapplied and I play the game for like 10 times and finally succeeded and submit the application and the red warning sentence disappeared. I really love the game but it is not good with phone and majority of the forum users use phone.

It seems impossible to pick 20 coins without hitting the bars, talk more of 99.
This is a rare conception that appears annually. Now if I'm to make that more clear, it's simply the fun that connects, reunites and shows to everyone, what stuff they're exactly made of,..and at the end, it's still the fun yunno.

The most I managed to get was 7 and its no easy game to play I must say. Having to concentrate on the speed at which the bird is flying and at what point its projectile motion is bound to go up and down while passing through the pipes. I didn't get it at first but, its challenging and couldnlead to some addiction for a day if we pick up the challenge. There isn't anyone that could make required quota. I'll like to have someone try!
With hourse to go, all the drama on the forum is about to subside. What a way to generate traffic and entertain the ever serious users on bitcointalk. Probably not the best prank from Theymos but, it does okay.

Just something I noted!
The game didn't pop up using browsers that permits you to view posts up ahead while typing right beneath. Don't know if you guys get the point but, that's some free pass.

It wouldn't be fair if I didn't put my own bird-piloting skills to the ultimate test before this is all over with. Wow, 99 coins had me sweating bullets! ;D

Thanks to PowerGlove for creating this cool game. I was really impressed that he was able to create it from scratch in less than a month with no dependencies and in only about 21kB. Thanks also to the mods who helped test it.

If I were to guess I think what happened is that even if you collected 9 coins you failed to complete the task at hand, so if your goal was to collect 10 coins and you only collected 9 then those coins will not show on your records, something similar should have taken place for the ones which completed the task but then forgot to post once the captcha was solved, but it does not make any difference, you know you got those 9 coins and that is what matters.

Maybe such a high number of collected coins are just from many failed attempts, it's also possible. Or are only coins from successful completions counted in your statistics?

My goodness, I felt like crying when I couldn't post and was refer to as a Spammer I couldn't believe that April fool would make me feel the way I felt yesterday, I'm really new in this Forum wow.

Calling it a captcha would be wrong because it's just like a video game. Before I used to play this game with my mother's phone when I didn't have a smartphone.
 
Due to previous experience I am able to fulfill some tasks.  But later on when the amount of task increased, I failed to play till the end even though I tried a lot. 
First I was suggested to collect nine coins I succeeded there then again I was asked to collect 15 points then I succeeded in few attempts and my last success was to collect 20 coins.  But then I was asked to collect a large amount of coins where I failed every time with many attempts. 

Later, when I saw the calendar for April 1st, I thought maybe it was just April Fools.

Kinda curious about solving the captcha but it looks like a never ending game and this will never be solve. AI seems growing at a wrong side with this one, lucky to those who have their AI working for them already, at least they can counter attack the AI of this forum. Does anyone here selling their AI services?  Cheesy

I am not on any of the lists either, and I was feeling like it looks like I was not cooperating at all.

I had a few posts that I made in the last 24 hours in which I did not enter the captcha, but there were probably more than 5 times in which I tried to collect coins, and I probably collected around 40 coins or maybe even more, yet I never did actually ever meet the goal of finishing the captcha (like whatever the quantity of coins I was supposed to collect always seemed to be unreachable), and maybe the most that I got in any one effort was around 12 coins.. but most of the time, I would just get one or two coins.. and kept trying several times, and one time I was able to keep it going for nearly a minute.. or however long it had taken to get 12 coins.. maybe 25 seconds would be more realistic...

Anyhow... I kind of cooperated with trying to solve the captcha.. but apparently not enough time trying (or success) to get my name on any of the lists of those who cooperated.. since I did not ever completely collect all of the coins that I had been assigned to collect..  :'( :'( :'(

If you mean the way they beat the game? No, they didn't use AI on beating such robots. Personally, I only beat those AI manually, while some are using cheats like what mr theymos said on his latest reply, those who are on the list didn't have to do that in order to surpass 99 coins. After surpassing 99, it will just notify that you are good to go to post, the ticker stops and on the next post you are still required to do 99 laps. That means it is only up until 99 laps and nothing more.

I was well aware of that April Fool's Day was coming up, so I made sure to mentally prepare myself for any pranks by theymos. Unfortunately, my schedule was quite busy on the actual day, so I didn't have much time to engage. However, having experienced such things previous years, I was ready to handle.

I have to say, I was impressed with the idea, as it seems like a great way to combat spam and ensure that only real users are able to post. When I saw the message "This user is a suspected spammer!", I have to admit it did make me feel a bit anxious at first. Thankfully, I was able to quickly figure out what was going on and my nerves settled down.

i think i got 2 coins (out of like 40+ needed) once.

i did find that if you mad crazy clicked the mouse button for like a minute straight to get the bird way way off the top of the screen.. when i stopped clicking it seemed to take a loooong time for the bird to come down and when it finally did it came down like an missile it was going so fast lmao

I totally fell into the April Fool's trap. Seems like I visited the forum for the first time on April 1st. Didn't even consider there could be an ongoing April 1st prank. I'm too old for such bird games. I thought, really? WTF!?

It took me multiple tries to solve the captcha for just two coins, lol, more coins for me: never to happen. After some digging and reading and the morning coffee doing its magic, I accepted the banner of shame.

I can understand that the people that actually tried to solve the captcha are disappointed to not be on the list, but in a way it makes sense, if we think of it as a captcha then if we fail we are forced to solve another one, and if we think of it as a video game then it does not matter how many points we accumulate if we lose before reaching a save point.


I did in fact tried this a few times thinking that maybe there was some secret route which may allow us to get some extra coins, an Easter egg or something similar, after all you never know what kind of curve ball theymos will throw at us when it comes April fools.

Is there any chance you can provide a link for those who wish to access the game the rest of the year for entertainment and possible competitive purposes ?

It would be a shame if this novelty would be just available during this thin period of time. There must be people who probably did not even have the chance to notice/try this lil game we got.

But I think it is rather because I have got Flappy Bird on my phone and I like pushing my high score as high as possible. It can be a bit frustrating in the case of the forum's version, since it has more inertia and the trajectory of the bird is very different from the original one, wider.

I wonder what could happen to the forum if this game was easily available for all of us, considering the creator of flappy bird had to pull his game off the Play Store because received emails from players saying they were addicted to it and ended up breaking their phones.


Further suggestion: airdrop 1 satoshi to people according to the number of coins they manage to collect in the game.  ;)

I'd really love to play the PC version again coz to be honest the duration was too short for me. Honestly, I was even planning on beating my high score again after I rested well enough, I was drunk earlier that day that's why I couldn't continue playing, and just left it for later but after I woke up the bird was already gone.


That would also be great if they'd airdrop, but I don't think @theymos will do that. It's already enough for me to be recognized since it's just a prank after all, I didn't need to take the rewards seriously aside from the game itself.
