I found a bitcoin backup file full name"bitcoin-wallet-backup-2016-09-07"
That's the Schildbach Wallet:
Determine wallets based on filenames (note: these are the default filenames, you could have renamed yours)
  • bitcoin-wallet-backup-YYYY-MM-DD. Example: bitcoin-wallet-backup-2015-12-31
Use Bitcoin Wallet on Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet) or do a manual recovery (https://github.com/bitcoin-wallet/bitcoin-wallet/blob/master/wallet/README.recover.md) (Howto (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2061691.0)).
Note that this wallet takes a long time when loading an old backup.

Based from the contents, there's a low chance that it's an encrypted Electrum backup. (if you've renamed the file)
You can directly open a copy of it with desktop Electrum but you need the password to open the wallet.

You can download Electrum here: https://electrum.org/#download (https://electrum.org/#download)
It's recommended to verify it before proceeding: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/ (https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/)

I tested the Android wallet, and unfortunately, the backup requires a password, Thank you for your help.

That is as expected. I've never tried brute-forcing one of those.

The phone's main screen is dead, but the second one works, I think an expert can break into the wallet using the data from the phone, so in gonna list it on ebay.  ;D

If I remember correctly, the password on the backup can be different than the password on the wallet itself. Either way, you'll have to brute-force it if you don't know the password, so even getting the phone to work won't help.

Without any information about the password, even an expert with good hardware for bruteforcing wallets wont be able to break into it.
That's unless the password is short or consists of few simple dictionary words.

Since you're already considering giving it away with the phone, at least let "experts" try to break into it.
I'd recommend you this service which won't charge a fee right away (only until the wallet is cracked): https://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/ (https://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/)
Take note that Dave wont accept the job unless you're certain that it has funds and at least know few parts of the password.

You can copy that file for your personal backup and then list it on ebay as you intended. (surprise for the buyer?)
But it's recommended to wipe the device first since you might remember a part of the password that you've used (not yours?).

The phone is not mine, so even if I contact Dave, I can't help with the password or guarantee the wallet has funds in the first place.
The idea is to list it on the marketplace, tell the story and let people bid on it, maybe someone will get lucky or track the owner using the data, you never know.

Thank you everyone for your help.

But FWIW, btcrecover claim it can perform password recovery on Bitcoin Wallet (Schildbach Wallet).

Or just sell the phone as is it. People won't believe you, especially due to fake wallet file (e.g. wallet.dat file from Bitcoin Core) sold on shady website.
