What a joke! Something is not right. I tried to update several old posts to see if that was with only one post but it's the same. Can anyone test it for me. Please go back to some of your earliest posts and try to update them.

Please let me know if you were able to update any of them successfully.

maybe it depends on how old is it.

it might be some security system prevent editing very old posts.

I was working on them all these days even 20 minutes before too, everything was just fine. But suddenly it's not storing any update. Always showing the database error.

Got the same error trying to edit a post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2648347.msg26998551#msg26998551) from December 2017.

Mine were from 2016

I edited a post made in 2019 successfully and got the same error when trying to edit a post made in 2017.

Update:
I tried again and could edit the post I had made in 2017. It seems that there is no issue anymore.

Probably, editing any post from 2017 or earlier brings up this error. I don't have any from 2017 but when I did edit my first post which was made on June 27, 2018. The error does not come up.

I also did the same and even try editing much earlier post in 2018 on January 21 but no error come up too. My guess is there's a range or time range where you can only edit. 2017 on December to much earlier date come up with this error and January 21, 2018 doesn't have this error when editing a post which means my guess is that the posts that can be edited without errors is 6 years from the present.

I don't know maybe it was just earlier that you can't update a post but i did. I tried it on this post^[1], posted way back 2017. Also this one^[2]. Anyone, above can try if its still the same on your end?

I think you missed the post I made above (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5448976.msg62097722#msg62097722).
I tried to edit an old post and got the same error as Royse777. After a few minutes, I tried it again and could edit that post successfully. So, you are right. It seems that there was a temporary issue and there is no problem now.

Ah, you're right, i didn't read and missed your updated post. Maybe this is related to the previous downtime of the forum posted here^[1] or maybe @theymos can tell us what really had happened.

I don't know about the others, but I could easily edit my oldest post. Without any problems whatsoever. I do not know, maybe for moderators it is allowed? I personally know nothing about banning editing old posts for regular users. I can not say anything specific about this, unfortunately.

May I ask why you are doing this? You are replacing posts with content in Russian in the Russian section with English-language spam in the form of Sinbad.io ads. Firstly, you violate point 9 of forum rules. And secondly, your actions can be viewed as spam and offtop. That's not nice of you.

Mmmm as I see he also changed the title of the topic to 'Draft', I guess it's to test the display of his image. The archival section is better to do this kind of test. But editing a 2016 post from the 61st page, it's unlikely to be noticed.

I read this topic, so I understood that you are working on a problem if there is a possibility to edit very old posts. I decided to take part in this experiment, so I opened a post written in 2014, June. I tried to edit it and I succeeded. So I assume this is a kind of temporary bug or something.

It's meant to be unnoticed. Anyway that's not the topic. It seems there were some temporary error  yesterday. I tested and it's working as normal now. Maybe admin fixed it already.

I will lock the topic after few hours once I log back again.
