Title: Make we talk locally, truely how you dey change your crypto to Naira?
Post by: CryptopreneurBrainboss on April 16, 2023, 07:38:54 AM
So I just sit down now dey reason how improve crypto dun dey since wey I join the industry around 2015. I fit remember when na Facebook groups I dey sell my Bitcoin and other crypto wey I get then we come move enter WhatsApp groups and scammers use us shine. Today the story different people wey just dey join the industry go think say as e sweet now to sell crypto to Naira na say na so e sweet from the very beginning. Now if I wan sell my Bitcoin or other cryptocurency use hold body, ASAP e go happen and I no even need to dey worried that much. E no matter if na centralized exchange the trade dey happen or na decentralized exchange. The confidence dey there say I go get my Naira for my bank account use run one or twos.

This matter just enter my head I come say make I drop the matter here and maybe our suggestions fit help one or two new users. How far, how una dey, which means wey you dey use sell your crypto (Bitcoin or altcoins) to Naira. How reliable the platform dey and any thing person need know before him use the platform? Abeg I need genuine answers and no go dey recommend wetin you no dey use just so you go sound like say na you e dey body pass. Make we talk Nigerian to Nigerian and leave oyinbo talk first, which platform you dey use sell your cryptocurency?

For privacy, decentralized exchanges are still the best. Among decentralized exchanges, Bisq is the best and most decentralized. Bisq is just a software code, not an organization. One of the disadvantages which may make people not to be that using it is because it has only computer software, no software for Android or iOS, except the Android and iOS notification apps. So if comparing the trading volume to those centralized exchanges, centralized exchanges have far higher trading volume. But for anyone that wants privacy, Bisq is the best decentralized exchange to go for, but it has low trading volume.

As for centralized exchanges, those that allows Nigeria P2P that are highly ranked on Coingecko, like Binance, OKX and Kucoin are all having high P2P trading volume. Among the ones that are not there like Luno, Remitano and Quidax. I have used Luno before some years ago, the exchange is very good. I have also used Quidax before, very fast but not advisable to use because of some high hidden deduction of users money. I have aso used Remitano before, I do not like the slow transaction completion time after CBN do not want bank to officially support bitcoin and other crypto transactions anymore.

Make we talk Nigerian to Nigerian and leave oyinbo talk first, which platform you dey use sell your cryptocurrency?
Na Remitano I dey use. I know Binance get him own P2P but I never learn that one. Make I give small review about am.

Why I like Remitano
- so far nobody don scam me. I get confidence say once money dey my wallet I fit run without any issues.
- their platform dey very easy to use but if you ask me, I go say I prefer the mobile app pass the website version
- them dey help pick the merchant with the highest price. My life dey easy with that one
- U fit get multiple accounts . KYC not needed unless you be merchant

Why I nor like Remitano or Wetin I feel say dem fit improve on
- most times, their mobile app dey take too long to load
- their update too dey confuse me
- if you use OPAY which I prefer you fit wait until you grow white bear-bear before the money land
- dem need to improve the way to sellers to fit give proper review to the merchants.

I still dey use dem sha. Maybe later I go learn binance p2p later.

I don talk my own.

There is nothing hard about any P2P if you follow the right guide. Those exchanges that are highly rated like Binance, OKX and Kucoin have better bitcoin or crypto to naira P2P.

- so far nobody don scam me. I get confidence say once money dey my wallet I fit run without any issues.
If they are centralized exchanges, scam can reduce, but you should be able to avoid scam even on decentralized exchanges.

- them dey help pick the merchant with the highest price. My life dey easy with that one
On the centralized exchanges that I mentioned, you will see 'express', that is the function of express.

- if you use OPAY which I prefer you fit wait until you grow white bear-bear before the money land
Opay transaction is fast, the problem is from Remitano, just like I commented too about Remitano. The first time I use Remitano, the transaction expired or so and it was cancelled. I tried it again, it took 1 to 2 hours before the money reflected on my bank account. Very frustrating. That was the first time I used Remitano. The second time I used Remitano, the transaction was cancelled and cancelled again and again. You see how that can make you leave an exchange forever without visiting it again.

For privacy, decentralized exchanges are still the best. Among decentralized exchanges, Bisq is the best and most decentralized. Bisq is just a software code, not an organization.

Chairman, you dey use Bisq trade your Bitcoin or altcoins to naira? The question no be about which one be the best, the question na which one wey you dey use trade and for that platform wetin you think say dey good about that particular platform wey you dey use trade and wetin you think say dem fit improve so?  The question na about your personal experience no be wetin people talk, which one you dey use that's the question. Ps: if you no dey comfortable sharing no issue.

Na Remitano I dey use. I know Binance get him own P2P but I never learn that one. Make I give small review about am.

I remember when remitano come out, dem too dey try but I no see any difference between them and Binance exchange. Dem both dey centralized so the features no supposed dey any different. Why remitano dey easy for you na because person show you road on how to use am. If dem show you Binance too e no go hard you. I been dey hear say remitano launch their own coin, how far you benefit from am and e dey trade well abi na another shitcoins wey go soon die comot for market.

Unlike those smart contract so-called decentralized exchanges, only few coins are listed on Bisq, but exchanging to fiat is possible, which is not possible on those smart contract exchanges.

Bisq is far more complex than just using it to exchange to local currency, you can check the payments supported: https://docs.bisq.network/payment-methods)

There are other payments that are accepted in Nigeria as well. Bisq should be a topic on its own, unlike exchanges that local traders are using to trade with other local traders.

As for me na last year,I start to use crypto and na when I join this forum. My first bitcoin wey I change to fiat na my guy buy am.
Na our local exchange na e I dey use Busha,I come to know about this exchange from that my guy wey I dey sell my btc for. Though,I already know about Binance but the process to sign up na die for me. Especially that face scanning, na there I dey fed up for. Since my blood dey hot and I need to change my bitcoin in the absence of my guy. Na so I start to use Busha till today. I never try any other exchange but I know say many good exchanges dey. The first time wey I won use remittano mobile app, bros I no go lie for you,I miss road. So far so good,I know say Busha dey charge high but I dey comfortable with the exchange because I never get any issue with them apart from the last time wey dem lock my account for 23hrs due to say higher amount enter the exchange from my normal amount wey I use start with them. I still dey reason say I go try another exchange and this topic din make me know the next exchange wey I go give a trial.

My own be say na the most convenient one wey dey me very ok I dey use now and na binance but before i begin use binance, na through my brother connect I dey take market my coin and token them. Once I get paid by any of the project doing airdrop then and it starts trading at a good price I call brother to see if he has any available buyer for the token and I am always lucky that any time I call there is always a buyer begging to get the token  and coin I had so I had the opportunity selling it at good price depending on the market price then. After some time binance launched but binance gave me a tough time getting registered in their platform as i had issues with their kyc process but however, I scaled through after a while and then binance is my p2p platform for easy conversion of my coin to naira.

For me, na Remitano win am. Although most times na network go worry transaction.
There was one transaction I remembered doing sometime back.To convert my crypto (BTC) to our local fiat, Naira. It was during the presidential election this year. It took almost 24hours before it dropped in my account. I was really scared that day o. The amount later reflected but I didn't the alert until the following day.
I have been trying to explore Bouex.com. I also tried Kucoin onetime but the navigation seems complex than Binance exchange. That's how I stucked to Remitano finally.
End of story!

At some point I come try Luno, and I wasn't pleased with their services, imagine transaction of 7 kpali, dos people collect about 1.5 kpali as charges. Dem charge me for deposit, conversion to naira and withdrawal, d thing just tire me. Dis thing happened more than 5 years ago, so I no no how their services dey now and I no want try dem again. For now na Whatsapp crypto group where I dey sell to verified buyers. I dey look Binance one eye, I bin don do tier 1 KYC for long but I neva use their P2P service.

All dis oda platforms wey una mention too I go try check them out know which one go good for me. D Whatsapp crypto group sometimes fear dey catch me because scammers dey there too and if you loosegaurd you go enter one chance.

Well, for my own case I dey use BINANCE peer to peer P2P 4 short it's very secure if you can follow the rules of not releasing ur escrow until u see alert, or vice versa. You can change from 4k upwards to millions in naira. I use it because it's free and I have no desire to go on another journey of discovery what may or may not serve my purpose.

Like u pointed out, I too was aware wen to change crypto to naira na computer science. Back den I found 2 companies dat help which were xbit now known as luno and xapo.

I left d crypto space 4 a while, now coming back many new improvements are around. Back den too to bridge from one Blockchain to another na mountain. And in some case pay charges upward $100+ in fees, now tins are easier. A good man talk say that "the suffer him dey suffer today is so dat the future peeps no go see the same suffer."

The way I dy see am na purple app win am because na remitano I dey use too. The platform dey very easy to use and them no dey ask for kyc. I still dey trade for Binance once in a while sha. When I first start na my friend I been dey sell my bitcoins to, na him first teach me bitcoin so when I start to buy my btc na him I go meet. E better say you do am yourself because who you dey sell to dey carry your bitcoins go sell for one exchange come give you balance, sometimes vendors dey delay payment na why e better say you sabi do p2p. Remitano good to use for my side, my money never hang there once we get other local exchanges but na this one I dey use.

E get wetin this thread dey proof, when people no dey lie na centralization many of us still dey and decentralization get a very long way to go before e become a common thing for Nigerians. If I leave exchange enter wallet questions you go see say many of us still dey use centralized platforms which is very bad but I understand the angle wey dey cause am. The same thing can be said about the forum in general, you go dey see so so advises yet non of them or a vast majority aren't actually practicing what's been preached.

Make una use this thread as example and shine your eyes, no go fall mugu, use una number six and apply wisdom here. E get wetin dem dey talk, give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and the rest una sabi am. As for remitano winning, I no expect am to come out as number one, normally I been dey expect Binance since na there Nigerian plenty pass but from wetin I dey see eh, e belike the link wey most people wey dun reply here carry come dis forum, na remitano their upline been dey use so him just passed down the platform to others. Anyhow e be but make una dey careful sha and hoping to get others response too.

Remitano na one of my top p2p exchange for 9ja because their feature dey very clear and easy, i also use binance from time to time most espcially when i want to trade is altcoins, and i think Binance p2p have a relatively higher price more than remitano, i noticed that some time but most time the prices of p2p naira trade price are same on both exchage, i go recomend them to any nevice who just enter the cryptocurrency even though they're both centralized.

Recently remitano launched their own coin name Renec and their have being giving me some of those coins each time i make a successful trade on the platform but then the last time i checked those coins are still very far low in price and I have not made any attempt to use them for any other thing such as bill payments since remitano have not such service yet.

But if this BrainbossXchange Service {BTC/NGN Altcoins/BTC/Stablecoins} <Rate changed> (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5200468.0) go resume, e go better because all those centralize exchanges fit show us shege one day.

Today is a sad day for those of us who use bitcoin and value our privacy. Just today, a law came into force in Spain that obliges entities that provide crypto-related services in the country to report absolutely all transactions carried out during the year.
Actually, this thought has always been in my mind that's why I've never fancy the idea of converting my crypto to fiat using centralized platforms. I might have used Luno many years back and later I started selling using P2P and I would like to keep it that way because of the country we find ourselves. One day the government might wake up and start demanding for the information of users of these platforms. Lets stay safe.

The first time wey I been hear about Remitano na that time wey CBN government ban the trade of crypto with Nigeria banks. I wasn't push to learn or make use of am because peso no get crypto assets to trade then. Another thing be sae na through social media wey I hear am so and I no get peso wey go teach am for free then because people wey know how to use Remitano exchange then were charging people enough money to teach them on how to use am. People wey manage to sell their crypto assets from people wey sabi use Remitano d collect percentage if the help you run am. Because of that, I  bullshit and forget am since then not to get involve with it.

Now wey you dish out the procedure of how to make use of am, I think sae I go try am out sha, make I see how works.

OP this headlines wey you just give out about how the bitcoin p2p selling bin be before now just look like na people like una be the John the Baptist for Bible wey first come clear the straight path for men like us wey just dey enter the industry to tread on. And based on the storylines aswr, this time the process soft we'll pass before.

Omoor my means of selling my bitcoin na thru binance oh, cos to me na him easy pass to understand compared to the remitano wey person first introduced to me, the tin  process look very confusing to me as at wen I first started, so I switched to binance and since den naim I dey use.
Like I talk, it easy to sell and buy.
Na dem go arrange the person with best price for you.
Like my own na two factor authentication I set, so dem must ask for both before I fit release out asset. So I just like that part of the security despite say we dey lash am say na centralized exchange.

I have actually used whatsapp but then we never too open eyes based on how we carry full force enter the industry. To some points we come move go remitiano although me no love there, na one of my guy I dey sell give then him go move am go there to trade.. after some while we come discover say Luno dey try small small, na so we begin dey trade am directly to our bank but at some certain points e come be like say Luno self wan kill us with high fee and them dey buy very low instead of us not to sell we just managed am like that.
After months Na so Binance show face, so we begin use them since Luno wan kill us na from Binance we begin jolly steady before we government come put sand sand for we garri to stop us to associate our local account to crypto. Omo e no easy oo, the next na to waiting after few weeks thereabouts na so Binance again introduce p2p trading and before then I don already use brainboss p2p service begin hold body. So na where I see myself till today.

Remitano has tie 5 levels of KYC, but we can agree that it is not as strict as other exchanges because you only need a phone number verification for lever 1 KYC to be able to deposit and trade less than $100 per day, and you are also limited to buying only $75 worth of coin per day for level 1. I am on level 3 because I was trading on that purple app a few years ago when I was into Buy/selling here on the forum, but then I noticed that their selling rate was lower than the average Binance trader selling price and their buying rate was much more high too. The swap market is the only function I still use on Remitano because it is cheaper and faster.

Another issue with Remitano is that their withdrawal fees are fixed at $30 regardless of the amount you wish to withdraw, and they do not provide segwit addresses.

For OGs WhatsApp na normal sumthin but no be wetin make me quote you so, na dat Luno wey you mentioned. Brother, Luno do us something I no go lie you. E get when to withdraw money come be problem for that app and if you wan sell, dem go buy from you wetin no good compare to wetin others dey sell but their sellng price na fire. If one Naira na 350 dat time, Luno go sell you am 450. As I dey read I see their name I just remember how the platform frustrated me back then and I dey thank God say dem no be popular brand again to dey use. Dem be get one issue one time belike dem dun close abi dem still dey operate but nevertheless dem na old story now.

E go make newbies dem wey just dey come understand the struggle wey men be face before industry soft like dis data why I drop the words, I fit remember how much I lose when I be dey find better vendor wey go sell me cheap or buy from me higher than most people been dey buy. Me I start Bitcoin from the days of MMM and na wetin introduced Bitcoin to Nigerians mainly be dat as after that one all those other ponzi schemes dem wey dey use Bitcoin come dey come in. To buy Bitcoin dat time you must buy or sell to your upliners as vendors no plenty but we thank God say today things different.

Another issue with Remitano is that their withdrawal fees are fixed at $30 regardless of the amount you wish to withdraw, and they do not provide segwit addresses.

Belike dis one na new update oh because nobody talk this one since abi na the transaction fees wahala dey cause this one.  For segwit address matter, some exchange just recently add am so belike remitano go add their own soon too but the fees na everybody e dey affect and e go reduced when everything calm down.

That was why I left them for long, their charges are like mad and they buy very cheap and sells very high for people, it was like they wanted to use us shine they don't even care about their users or even to give some airdrop rewards for people trading there like the way other exchange were doing back then, Binance did it other exchange which I signed up then did and that only attracted their users.

There case is long forgotten because they had no other way to bypass the trading since FG already gives instructions on not to trade cryptocurrency directly to bank, so they aren't smart enough to implement p2p that was what made people dump to Binance and any other exchange that allows p2p trading.

Some people dey legit sha but na big risk you sef take to do business with person way you no sabi. Before Luno, Binance, Patricia and remitano become household name for p2p trading for naija, e sure me say na this your style people dey use trade bitcoin back in the day. People fall for scammers plenty, to see legit person to trade with hard and that na why platforms like Patricia bust out to solve this problem way bitcoiners been dey face.

I been don use most of these platforms wey you list here but I prefer to dey use Binance P2P more than any of them to get my Naira, kucoion P2P and Bundle P2P sometimes, my experience with them is ok to recommend them to newbies here. Luno na my b4 b4 platform wey I been dey use but their own problem be say their charges dey high when trying to run some internal conversation process b4 your money go reach your Bank account, but don't know if en don reduce now, same thing with Bundle too.

Na here you finish talk. The buying and selling rate of Remitano is higher than what binance offers and since I noticed that I abandoned them till they introduced swap option. I can now simply swap from BTC to naira even with >0.01% .
I am surprised to know that their withdrawal fee is as high as $30 because I don't use the option.

For P2P I use binance and I have never had issues with binance and their rate is very much fair.

I have also used Bisq, which is very private and recommended. But since I am not 100% private, I only used them once just to gain the knowledge.

Make we talk Nigerian to Nigerian and leave oyinbo talk first, which platform you dey use sell your cryptocurency?
People wey dey crypto now just dey flex, that year wey I start na my brother connect me to one person like that, actually the person legit but the problem be say the guy too dey feel himself, if you wan buy bitcoin from the guy, if you send money give the guy in the morning and you message am for WhatsApp, the guy no go reply till night before him go talk say him don see the money, him go come send the bitcoin.

As time dey go I come meet person wey tell me about Luno, I see say that one dey easy and you will get your crypto asset immediately compare to the guy wey I dey sell give before and dem dey buy and sell bitcoin at better price, so I just focus on luno and I was using luno. Time come reach if you wan commot money for luno, the money wey you go pay dey too high. I come free luno, Last last I come sabi how dem dey use binance, I come switch to binance.
