Title: Cartooned style video about Bitcoin for beginners
Post by: demonica on May 05, 2023, 12:48:01 PM
So while browsing on TikTok, I've seen a video explaining about Bitcoin and how it works with a cartoon-style animation. It's pretty basic information and it was explained in a simple way, making it easy to understand for beginners who want to know or explore Bitcoin.
Actually, I find an animation style of explaining what Bitcoin is and how it works easily. It also catches the attention of other people who aren't into it. Also, with this style, it won't be too boring to understand Bitcoin. It might just be a brief explanation but compared to when you're just reading some explanation online, this is more interesting. What do you think?

I don’t know which country you are from but contents predominantly watched in my region on TikTok are mainly not educative content, TIKTOK is the current number one social media distraction amongst the youth in my region, it’s more tuned to entertainment than it is too education, I wouldn’t go on TikTok to learn Bitcoin.

I would understand this if the person trying to learn bitcoin is a kid, as an adult I don’t think one should find reading to try to understand bitcoin as boring, you can’t just get fun in every aspect of your life all the time, Bitcoin is a serious financial business and if reading isn’t cool and animations preferred then maybe bitcoin isn’t for you. Don’t get me wrong, I have an article where Bitcoin can be drawn in animation but still it contains readable content.

As for me i will not admit this procedure for learning bitcoin if you're a matured man and willing to learn bitcoin for real, this is kore or less a child's play or something we can recommend for children to learn in other to have an idea of what bitcoin is, but if you're truly in for the real deal, it's not time for animation movies but to get serious and busy with the reality in learning bitcoin, bitcoin is more wider than wasting time on watching the preliminaries, am not totally against it OP, but understand that as an adult, it will get to a stage you will no longer needs milk for survival, what you will need is meat.

That's a pretty nice animation and actually gives you a good idea if you don't know Bitcoin, I don't know whose the audience of this animation but I guess this wasn't actually coming from Tiktok Maybe the video was just posted by a guy on TikTok since most of their contents didn't really come from him.

I mean it's a great Bitcoin promotion the animation explains it well and anyone who watches this show might be interested and might invest in Bitcoin in the future or at least know Bitcoin. I'm just not sure if it's for kids since I don't know if it would make sense to teach Bitcoin to children, might be a good idea but it could be a good foundation since saving money was a good start.

That must be a great way to teach bitcoin, but I still believe it cannot cover all of the information needed to understand about bitcoin. Learning about bitcoin is not a child’s play and requires complete focus in order to grasp the concept completely. Illustrating in a cartoon is not a bad idea, but it has a lot of constraints that are unnecessary when learning about it. However, word-for-word or step-by-step factual information regarding bitcoin is more vital and beneficial to use than an animated film.

If you are adult, animation, cartooned videos are unnecessary because you will waste more precious time of it. You have limited time in your life and you should spend it wisely and on focus. I am unsure that those cartooned videos have correct information and so doubtful about their technical accuracy.

I'm actually not sure if Satoshi Nakamoto really created Bitcoin because he/she/they were "fed up with government money" and "the corruption, the manipulation." Although Satoshi made some unfavorable remarks as to fiat's design and flaws, nowhere in the whitepaper did Satoshi mention that Bitcoin is a solution to government's failures.

As a matter of fact, I particularly like how the whitepaper appears pretty much neutral. If one is to read the whitepaper and appreciate it vis-à-vis the strong statements made by enthusiastic Bitcoin supporters against governments, one might begin to wonder whether they're on the same page. Bitcoin was created to solve a real-world problem; it was designed in such a way as to "allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution."[1]

Imo, It's depends on how people look at that. Because not all people like to watch the animation and agree with what the animation said. For me, which like a simple way, watching animation videos is enough to bore me especially when created by unprofessional person, so the result is not perfect to delivering important points. But the video you have shared is enough good for me, I got the point and understand what the content he said. Maybe I will continue to watch video like this, and maybe try to learn and begin to create the same themes.

It might be suitable for childrens but for adults I don't think it's good source to learn when there are lot of educational resources to teach about btc available already. If you browse the forum you can easily come across lot of threads giving you information about it and don't know what those tik tok video will have with limited time frame to tell people and most of them are entertainment related videos over there. If you really are interested in learning about it it's not the right place.

TikTok is indeed used currently mainly for entertainment but that doesn't dispute the fact that it houses some educational content. I don't usually use TikTok but sometimes I usually stumble on some creative and inspiring contents from the social media platform. And OP just informed us that there is an interesting animation about Bitcoin and I think it is good content that is worth looking at if one has spare time.

We shouldn't assume that animated programs or materials are strictly for children. After all, adults also watch animated films and they are very interesting. Even in colleges and universities some academic materials or information are animated to simplify the content for easy understanding. One of the reasons behind the animation is to convey vital information simply and entertainingly making the learners assimilate the information in a relaxed manner. Instead of spending hours watching movies, looking at this animated material about Bitcoin in one's spare time is not a bad idea. I bet you will learn something new. This doesn't dispute the fact that we shouldn't stop reading as adults.

So while browsing on TikTok, I've seen a video explaining about Bitcoin and how it works with a cartoon-style animation.
TikTok used to be a place I dispised a lot because of loose display of near nudity until recently when I started seeing some nice educative contents there. Till date I dare not watch TikTok without my thumb on the flip or skip tab, especially if I'm watching with my kids because you never can tell what obscenity that can turn up. Notably, I'm glad things are beginning to take a better turn and it's good to have more of these educative contents out there for kids (many of them want to learn "this Bitcoin").

Going forward, I think it's also good to have such contents on YouTube and Twitter to further spread them out.

I have not used Tik Tok before, but its impact on teenagers is very great, so it is a good way to introduce Bitcoin, especially to new generations, but then you must search for good sources for learning, otherwise you will find yourself far from learning good and valuable information.
Andreas M. Antonopoulos[1] has serious videos and a simple and clear explanation of Bitcoin from several technical aspects, and therefore I strongly advise beginners to follow his videos.

Very timely that I've seen this thread. Actually, someone has approached me if he should do this type of content just for being informative like the basic things that people should know about Bitcoin.

I said yes, if he's got a lot of time and can dedicate much effort on it he should start making contents that are graphical and videos type for easier engagement and education to the audience.

So that TikTok video, can be spreaded into other social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and others.

It's a good animation and easy to understand. I like how they never show the face of the character playing satoshi, adding to the mystery surrounding him/her/them.
I will show it to some of the younger people I know to see what they think about it.

The genesis block contains a message explaining how the government is about to bailout banks a second time. At the same time, ordinary people were losing their homes, pensions, and bank savings. Bitcoin is meant as an alternative to fraudulent banks and their government bailout buddies who will help them in times of crisis, but wouldn't mind seeing you and your family become homeless in the process.

it tells a newbie an introduction to the basic concepts of Bitcoin, the animations you showed are pretty good. especially through social media platforms that are currently popular, it is the best way to spread information.
it will be quite boring for those who are curious and they will have to browse and read texts online which may not appeal to some people. with a different presentation, it might be easier to understand.
more young people use the platform. and it will be quite good if such an animated post is reposted by several people with big followers.

This is really good, I wonder why some users can expect cartooned style video can explain the whole and detail thing about Bitcoin. For me when it's a cartoon version, it's mostly just explain the basic or simple thing, at least people who's new with Bitcoin don't shocked to read the Bitcoin whitepaper that's full of alien words. Sadly this video is underrated in Tiktok because Tiktok is full of garbage videos.

A simple explanation but very interesting for people who so far have only heard of Bitcoin from news spread in print and electronic media. Introducing Bitcoin through cartoon-style animation to the general public, especially those who don't understand Cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, is one of the good ideas from creators to spread information about Bitcoin.
This method has become one of the new styles to attract fans, even though the method is simple, it is very interesting to watch. Watching cartoon-style animation is more interesting and less boring, like reading the explanations in several articles.

I didn't mean to say that you can depend on animated videos to learn deeper knowledge about Bitcoin. What I want to say is that, the video I shared is somehow helpful as an introduction to beginners so they won't get overwhelmed with the amount of infos and technical words they have to understand when entering the space since it was explained lightly that newbies can still understand the basic things. Of course, when you're already familiar with it, that's where you can go dive deeper into Bitcoin.

This is really good, I wonder why some users can expect cartooned style video can explain the whole and detail thing about Bitcoin. The animation itself adds excitement that makes it interesting to watch. For other beginners searching for some basic information on Bitcoin, it will indeed be boring to read a bunch of texts with unfamiliar terms. Although we can't fully rely on animations to learn about Bitcoin, I think this is a good starting point. Also, the amount of people using social media, it's a great way to boost Bitcoin awareness and adoption.

The point of this animated clip is to introduce and explain the basics of Bitcoin. The reason why some video explanation makes it animated is to make it easier for the audience to understand and visualize the topic so it doesn't have to be too complicated and too deep with the information.

thanks for sharing, it's a pretty good short and informative animated video that can take the attention of children to adults because of how it is animated(because the animation is similar to how cartoons are drawn and animated today). anyway, if anyone is curious, I saw the creator of that TikTok page said that the name of the cartoon is "Tuttle Twins" and can be watched on "angel.com" They also have a youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@TuttleTwins), check their youtube channel description to know what the show is all about. I'd probably watch some more of their show later.

Well done, it will be really helpful for novices to learn more about bitcoin, however I hope the movie also covers the risk involved. The point I'm trying to make is that the video should not just explain how to learn about or explore bitcoin, but it should also explain the risks involved, so that those who are free to do so can join and those who are unwilling to take the risk can leave. This is due to the fact that there is a very high risk involved in investing or putting money into something these days that you don't fully comprehend, like those who didn't know anything it.
I'm not saying the video is a bad idea; it's a smart approach to help people grasp bitcoin simply, and I'm sure people will like the tiktok video information more than anything else.

In addition, the ideas from the video can be adopted by other users who have skills in animation to make a longer duration and in-depth explanation about Bitcoin.
What needs to be noted is the attachment of important points that can add insight to the audience, creative ideas like this need to be developed to spread information about bitcoin in a different way.
