Title: Who else thinks Dogecoin will become the reserve currency on Mars?
Post by: Stef_C on May 18, 2023, 11:14:42 AM
I'm genuinely serious. I think with Musk it could actually happen. After all, his personal Roadster is floating in space right now.

You failed to mention that no one should take this statement as investment advice, because dogecoin is far from being a reserve currency.

have read a few one line threads from this user @Stef_C in just a short time, and i will advise you that this is not a good practice as a newbies because on the long run tou will end as a spammer here and the moderators will kick you ass in no distance time, my best advise is for you to put in some efforts and thoughts,  before creating or making any contribution here in the forum.

Leaving all the shilling aside and the fact this thread would be more fitting in the altcoin speculation board. I am not sure Dogecoin could actually reach those highs.

At beast, Elon will be glad for it to be used in Mars as a secondary currency or make it the official crypto of the mission, because it does not matter who pro Doge Elon is, he is still likely come up with a centralized coin for his future settlement on the red planet.

He is a billionaire and a centralized Martian FIAT would be very tempting for him not to implement

Well that's just silly. Why not start with earth if it would have any potential? Musk doesn't even like pow coins and frankly i am pretty sure that his days of being richest guy in the world are over soon. His behavior has been erratic enough to scare his investors away.

I mean if i had a too much invested in anything Elon controls i would be really scared for my investment. And yet he keeps making insane statements on tv and twitter. And to top of that he really think he is funny. His hiring policy is pretty much opposite of google's who actually want to keep their talents working there.

I could see DOGE coins being used on twitter as a form of likes when they get their financial services setup. I don’t see it being used as a serious currency though. I guess it will likely be up to Elon what DOGE is used for, or at least it seems that way right now. Mars or Twitter, seems a lot is hanging on Elon for the DOGE community.

Why do we like deceiving ourselves on things that are not necessarily what matters at all, if you're talking about the cryptocurrency network as a whole then i think you're wrong if anything of such is coming up and bitcoin is not your first suggestion on how this, am not saying that doge does not have a future but in everything there's hirrachy and order of preference, wish i believe bitcoin should be your first consideration in this.

No you are not. This is stupid

Do you even know anything about the Doge blockchain?

Is Elon going to migrate the whole doge blockchain to mars along with the miners?

What happens to those who remain on Earth?

Who made Elon Musk the sole owner or administrator of Mars? I have not heard of any deal that have him the right to issue currency on Mars. For now, humans will not be able to live normal lives on that planet without scientific assistance and how many people do you think will be able to afford a trip to Mars? It will take more than fifty years and more scientific breakthroughs for man to live normal lives on Mars. Op might be a promoter of Dogecoin who is desperate to promote it, but by all means, because of the loss of relevance. And he wants me to start daydreaming about buying and selling on Mars with Muskcoim. But he chose the wrong advertisement concept and forum. I think. Elon is more concerned about fixing the SpaceX rocket that exploded and not a shitcoin.

I just think that it is too quick to say or suggest that it will be dogecoin. It is still some time before living in Mars will be a thing, and before then, some new cryptocurrency may come up to take the place of dogecoin.

No one we don't know if Doge will still exist when Mars started being inhabited, everything is still in the planning stage it will take decades before that happens and we don't know by then what is the structure of the market, if Meme coins are out of the market, remember Doge is temporary in the market because Elon still supports it, there may be a shift of plan or interest in the part of Elon.
This topic is out of range right now Doge supporters should first aim to get Doge as the number two coin which is unlikely to happen.

I do not know if this is a joke or if the people are actually serious here. This is because Musk worshippers and crypto chlurmcklets are actually that insane. Crypto chlurmcklets also have an insane inability to appreciate or understand science. They believe science fiction and propaganda, but they do not understand science.

P.S. It could take up to 21 minutes for signals to travel from Earth to Mars. This means that a cryptocurrency cannot work for both planets since Dogecoin has about a 1 minute block time. One should use a completely new cryptocurrency for Mars.

There's no way that would gonna happen because if they established successfully a community on Mars, they will make a new currency that would only be used there and they won't gonna use Doge because it will gonna be the worse idea they could ever make in their life. Also if you heard any rumors about Doge regarding investment, it's better not to spread them because it might gonna cause some trouble to others, especially those newbie investors who are gonna rush to invest their money without hesitations.

It’s something that won’t happen for a long & I mean long, long time. There won’t be mass human life on Mars for a long time if ever. When or if it does happen the currency used there may not even exist yet. It’s certainly an interesting topic but it’s impossible to speculate if an already existing currency will be used as a means of payment there.

Ah damn, I came in here because I thought this was going to be a joke thread...

The only reason to want Doge as the reserve currency on Mars is that it fulfills everyones
hopes of getting rich.

People are clutching to Elon Musk in the hopes he delivers the Doge dream.

If and a very big IF Doge was to become what that on Mars none of us will be alive
to realise it.

He can make every possible attempts since everyone is on the quest to make fame and name ahead what he had already made, this is a good attempts to an extent that he's likely to engage doing something of such and it may turn a success just as Satoshi Nakamoto made his first move towards creating bitcoin, he shouldn't let our own view sounds like a discouragement or disbelief but instead watch out for the next move after this in the race to the reality in it.

Exactly the name and motive for the coin is just joke and I am sure that dogecoin will indeed be limited to being used only on their platform for like and comments rewards as you mentioned also what will become the payment method for content creators who at the same time generate income through that social media will there be rewarded in dogecoin or in other stablecoins.

What will this possible integration leads to, what have we to expect, will this development lead to more centralization and more control of the coin or a way to reward users of the platform in a more decentralized way?
