Title: Do we just invest in any altcoin?
Post by: SmartGold01 on May 31, 2023, 12:38:09 AM
I really wants to know from the high members those I think that knows more than me on altcoin. I have came to understand that whenever we are heading close to bull or just say nearly we always have new projects launching on a regular basis to stand a chance to enjoy the bull trend as well I often noticed cmc are being flooded with shitcoins in other for them to attract investors, who will invest in their project to enjoy the full wave of bull market  and after which there comes a delisting of many since they can't afford to meet up the exchange standard. Example of those exchange are Binance, any token or coin that got listed in their exchange without meet up to the standard they quickly gets delisted quickly.
Now my question is, do we just invest an altcoin to take advantage of the opportunity to make some x in return?
Because I know altcoin rarely survive the dip maybe after bull run.

Don't do that. Don't just invest with any coin just because you want to maximize your profits in the bull run. Pick wisely.
If you think Bitcoin will be the starter of the bull then invest with and sell if you see profits to your liking or you could just store it because more pumps will happen in the future.
When it comes to Altcoins, you may also want to pick the best, the top seeds as much as possible because a bull market always starts with them and not with the coins that are down below. Just because they are cheap doesn't mean you will just purchase them and reap the rewards later. There's a possibility that it will go the other way or worst, you will end up with dust or nothing.
It's suicide if you think they will all be pulled up during a bull run, some of them will likely stay in their value and some will go down. Remember, this ain't like the past, we have stablecoins now where they can trade their altcoins unlike before where it will be traded to another altcoin just to maximize the rewards.

There is no guarantee you must make profit investing in a newly launched project or altcoin, the first poster already made it clear.
But if you like altcoin there are some of them that are trusted and reliable so just locate them and make your analysis to see if suitable with you or not, otherwise bitcoin is the best maybe if changing of mind then buy ETH, BNB, MATIC.

It must be noted if you must invest in legit altcoins. Think about that since the marketcap of some altcoin quite low at this moment and it gives more possibility to make x return compared with major coin which has been growing up so high. That's it.

It will be a wise decision to invest in altcoins.

We should buy the coins that will make a profit. Altcoins There are many good coins that we need to find out. Altcoins have good coins as well as bad coins. If I can invest in good coins then I can make a profit.  If we invest in coins once then our money will be lost. So we have to stay away from these coins. Always invest in good coins.

I think its a case to case basis. It doesnt mean it got listed on Binance that token or project could go up when bull market happened. Some projects even old one can do a potential movement on bull season provided they are really working on their development. But if you are a long term holder then investing on bear market just like now would definitely give you an advantage on current prices.

New projects are interesting too but you need to pick a good contender and has a lot of room for growth.

Regarding good altcoins, of course we need to do research before buying,
if talking profit making coins obviously top coins are good choice especially for long term investment,
which obviously isn't easy finding good altcoins and it takes time.

Binance is making huge profits from altcoin market by changing the criteria for listing and deletion and it will became harder with time as they developed a new system under the name of innovation, which aims to be an area for these projects before they are launched.
You will find the details here https://www.binance.com/en-IN/markets/coinInfo-innovation-zone

Therefore, relying on the fact that listing will lead to an increase in token price will not be easy because they monitor projects and determine when they want to pumping to list that token or add it to main page, and when they want dumping it is easy by sending them to the innovation list (Soft delist).

When investing in altcoins, keep these questions in mind:

  • Why invest?
  • What is the investment opportunity that I see that no one else sees?
  • What are the new values for that token?

Unless you have clear answers to these questions, it is best not to invest.

Lets choose ETH

Why invest? The price showed a continuous increase over the previous years.
What is the investment opportunity that I see that no one else sees? It is the only currency that works on the principle of proof of stake, and if it succeeds, it will achieve a good return on investment.
What are the new values for that token? Excellent management of smart contracts.

I agree that CMC being flooded with shitcoins everyday is a pain in the rear for those who are researching about new projects to invest in. But they all yeild the same result : poor teams, badly managed tokenomics and lack of market making capability. Hence the impetus for doing research also drops and you eventually lose interest in buying newly launched coins. It is a correct step because the shitcoins rarely have any good outcome.

I would suggest only going for top five altcoins and bitcoin. Rest are only for short term gains if done in an expert manner..

you are absolutely right about the fact that the market for new projects is littered with really unnecessary altcoins, and the most important thing is that these useless altcoins really flood the market for projects, after which you don’t want to not participate in the bounty or invest in the project at all, because you think that the project will be unsuccessful

Now my question is, do we just invest an altcoin to take advantage of the opportunity to make some x in return?
Because I know altcoin rarely survive the dip maybe after bull run.
From what I can see and my own opinion about altcoins is: High risk, high reward.
Because all of the time since the beginning, there are already a lot of altcoins that come and go, and Bitcoin always stays. So the chance that altcoin will survive over time is extremely low, but if you properly enter a position before they will leave, the reward is high. Remember, investing in altcoins can be speculative, and not all projects will succeed.

Altcoins at low prices are indeed an opportunity to make some x in return,
try to look at the chart of altcoins you can see a decrease to -80% or even -90%,
if someone who is smart takes advantage of the situation then it is an opportunity for him, of course Of course,
you also have to think about the previous strategy so that you can get a good return later too.

If you're investing on any altcoins, know that it has risk involved because you can't rely on what people are saying concerning any altcoins than what you have researched about it and know, remember they make use of influencers to promote their projects and they wouldn't say anything contrary to scare you away from investing on them but the community like this will discuss with you and come out straight that many altcoins projects are fake and risky to invest, but you can go for th if you also think you're good enough having such boldness on investing in them at your own risk.

I think you have answered your own question. Altcoins are only created to make a profit. It doesn't matter how it happens, whether it's x on the exchange or your investment, which will eventually be lost, meaning i.e. your money will go to someone else. The result is always the same, someone makes a profit and someone loses money. For altcoins it is a normal cycle.

Investing in just any altcoin you see is like throwing your money to the winds and hoping that you get want you want. To get results there's need for careful planning and strategies. This requires intensional effort to find out about the validity of a project and the possibility of increase in value. There are several projects in the cryptocurrency market that have no bearing and are moving towards demise, so taking time to get information about projects would help you avoid such projects.

I have to disagree. There are projects out there that you can invest in that can mix TradFi with DeFi. When you have a crypto project backed by a fund that relates to the token price then its different. The fund brings in traditional money to the crypto space, so its not a case of just buying an altcoin, handing over the money to the developers and them running away with it. I agree that is all to common but there are other alternatives.

The reality is that investing in altcoins is not a simple way to make instant profits and there is no guarantee of investment results. However, if you want to invest in altcoins, you should thoroughly understand the project, technology, development team, and community of that cryptocurrency. It is important that you invest in a company that has a solid investment and long-term growth potential.

Also, just investing in a certain altcoin is not the best way to invest. Instead, you should learn about different industries to find potential projects and invest in various cryptocurrencies to minimize risk. Furthermore, you also need to be wary of cryptocurrencies that don't meet the standards and don't have a strong developer team and community.

All in all, investing in altcoins can be profitable, but research and decisions need to be made with a sense of caution.

Not every project that launched in the bull period will go green before dying so don't take such risks cause it seems too blind. When you have the only intention is to make money then why not go with the existing projects that survived few cycles so atleast you could avoid the uncertainty part and expect something as returns in the next cycle instead of nothing.

Low supply cap coins are always a good option. You want to buy early but not too early, you have to be aware of the risk involved with new very recently traded coins. Everybody wants to find the next Shiba Inu but it’s quite hard to do this. Sometimes it’s a good idea to buy somewhat established coins like ADA. Just make sure you DYOR & don’t invest more than you can afford to lose.

So far, I don't know of any projects that are not shitcoins, which come and go. Only trends and coin names change. I can probably only name a few of the older projects that have uses It's ETH, Monero, probably exchange token BNB. The rest DeFi, meme, smart contracts, NFT are just rubbish, which more often leads to loss of money than profit. So once you have bought a coin and made a profit, you need to sell it and forget about this project.

it's not uncommon when the market is in a positive trend or close to bullish many new projects appear because the team hopes that when listing their token prices they are also in a positive trend. if you want a short term investment and take advantage of the moment it doesn't matter but for long term investment you should not. as you said if after a bullish many new tokens are delisted because they do not meet the requirements, this happens because most investors want to secure the profits they get when they are bullish.

Before investing in any new coin's, have to make a research about the project and also the team involved, base on that, Coin to list in Binance Exchange has amount of funds to be able to trade in Binance Exchange specific, so not all alt-coins or new coin's that just listed in coinmarketcap now invest in.

Altcoin posses a higher level of risk as compared to Bitcoin and we have many more altcoin whose project are dead and as such could be called Shitcoin. Most of these tokens or altcoin are still available on exchanges and could be bought, some pump and dump scheme utilizes this approach to enrich themselves while taking advantage of the newbies. To be on the safe side, it's best to DYOR before purchasing altcoin.

But you're missing the point from the question. Investing in altcoins to generate x amounts is still possible right now. The money won't disappear as long as we was only putting it intot he legit coins but OP asked how big possibility for him to gain x return from his investment in altcoin. Investing in altcoins to gain specific return makes more sense rather than invest in the native coin which has been trading at the top.

It will not be wise decision to invest in new launching altcoins, because so many SCAM projects. So that if i have enough fund i want to invest in Bitcoin without any hesitation, it’s safe investment even in long term than altcoins. I will recommend a few altcoins such as Bnb,Eth,Matic these are potential coin to invest right now for the long term.

It depends on you dude, and you already know the answer. Now, you have to think again before action. you have to know several altcoins have risks to investing because doesn't meet up the exchange standard. If I were you I'll be careful to invest in altcoins that don't have top ranking again. As far as I know, Altcoin is widely used as a stopover only, many traders take advantage in Altcoin if the Bitcoin price is sideways, then, after Bitcoin back on track, they sold their altcoin and back to Bitcoin, because of that we often to see altcoin highly dump when bitcoin pump.

I mean, you can. Most altcoins are short lived anyway, you're better off trying to profit off of them at a say a month or two max, anything longer would just give diminishing returns, well at least for most coins, but hey if they really were good, it wouldn't be too late to invest on it again after at least guaranteeing that you've profited.

I definitely would avoid investing in altcoins for the long term though. I'd only ever know if it was a good investment for one in the future, and judging by the number of new altcoins, I wouldn't really take my chances.

There are many tricks and ways of operating an altcoin in this market, from the supposedly top projects to the low-cap ones. We can clearly see the hype in bull cycles, emerging trends and sometimes unrealistic ideation that is only attention grabbing but not useful. But on the positive side, it is also an opportunity to spread information about this field to more people, I see whether the altcoin environment is sustainable or not because of each person's assessment of it. While interests with specific audiences are different, it is difficult to find a common ground, which is nonetheless part of the nature of this school, diversity makes it easy for people to choose as well as different experiences together.

Scammers often engage in such activities because they know that during a bull run, even their low-quality coins can be easily sold or sometimes even pumped. However, these developers only care about making money and don't prioritize the actual project. We see many new projects coming and very few of them manage to survive. Therefore, I believe that it is important to focus on good projects because there is a higher chance of incurring losses when caught up in the hype. I would recommend against taking risks and instead rely solely on authentic coins, as this would be the safest option. It is unpredictable how new projects may turn out, and some projects have a tendency to quickly deceive investors.

During you can earn profit if not allowed for investing in any altcoin, but I have specific altcoin for investing and looking with current market standing position in 10th placed or not. No recommended invest in shit coins and coin under 100th position standing on coin market cap, usually ETH is my favorite altcoin for investing and consistent earn 3% until 5% in daily day depend when investing and time for selling. Not worth invest in any altcoin without research about their fundamental is potential coins or not.

Everything depends on your appetite for risk, personally even if I know that shitcoins can go up in value during a bull run, I do not waste my time or money with them as there is no guarantee at all that I am going to pick the correct coin.

However those are my preferences, there are many other investors out there that like to take the risk as they think the reward is worth it, however just picking a coin randomly is a huge mistake and if you want to maximize your chances of picking the right coin then you need to study hundreds of coins before picking a few to invest in them.

If you are planning to hold the tokens of the altcoin project for a longer time and not just for a few weeks or so, then you definitely should do your research before investing because obviously at the moment 99% of all the altcoins that are launched are stupid and useless meme-coins and those will be dead again withing a few days. Some of them will survive for a few weeks maybe but that's it.
There are also a lot of altcoins out there that have great potential and that are really trying to do something and to offer some functionality to it's users. So if you pick an altcoin from the top 50 that you like, then this project should also have pretty good chances to survive the bear markets too.

The profit that can be obtained from altcoins is indeed very promising but you shouldn't invest in many new projects because we never know what will happen to these projects sometimes they can provide fantastic profits but many more will turn to ashes so in the end you will only see Your initial capital investing in altcoins will just break even without big profits. You must do research before deciding to buy altcoins and always follow developments from altcoins because sometimes the changes in the altcoin market are so out of control in a very short time. Altcoins not surviving after a bull run is a problem for many junk coins which is why it is important to get out of the market before it becomes too late.

I strongly agree with all advices like "pick wisely"
There is nothing good in investing just for gains and x10
If you wanna have some profits you gotta do some job like researching for example, diving deeper into the tech part
Web3 is looking promising, so I'm looking for pioneers in that area
I'm picking projects at their early stage, Neon Link is looking good now, I'll see what happens in a year
i suggest you to pick projects wisely, take your time
Research is the most important part of investing

If we are wise investors, we know what we gonna do to avoid mistakes and losses. Most people had lost when investing altcoins because of the lack of research and market experience which can be excused. But if we are already in the market for quite a long time, we already have an idea of what coins we are about to choose.
 - but it was not just being wise when picking altcoins, it is also wise from managing our funds. I mean, we can just invest because these coins are potentially profitable, we have also considered the amount to spend.

Even if a project isn't a scam, most of them simply can't get back up once the bull market is over and the bear cycle starts rolling up again, they lose value significantly and then stay down forever. That is the reason why it is better to simply stick with already famous projects and tokens to avoid investing in coins or tokens that might not be able to regain value later in the future once they drop.

It doesn't make you a different person for investing in newly launched projects and tokens, so it is better for you to invest only in trusted and old cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, ETH, BNB, and many others that are available out there.

This of course always happens when something similar to the rise of the market begins. And at this time, there are a lot of projects that, as you said, do not meet the standards and, moreover, are not suitable for listing on well-known exchanges. Especially on Binance. The answer to your question about investing. The point of investment is to make money. But before investing your assets in the project, you need to understand the importance and usefulness for the industry as a whole and the prospects for the future.

The majority of new projects that enter the market during a bull run are only there to make quick profits and leave the market as soon as they do. The real altcoins you should take into account are the ones that enter the market during a bear market, are willing to deal with criticism of all kinds and overcome numerous obstacles, and yet are the ones that build the most during this time.

It is not like we don't have new good altcoins in the bull run, but if you are not a seed investor, private sale investor, or public sale investor, you will likely never earn something good in those altcoins. You will either buy at the top and get dumped upon, or you may buy and get rugged at the end; you may also be lucky to buy and gain something. Just know that altcoins are full of risk, and you should exercise management risk.

We invest in altcoins to get profits but to get the right altcoins, we have to really be able to choose them because not all altcoins can increase and if we buy the wrong ones, we can experience losses. Only with research can you find the altcoin; it will take time before you can find hidden gems. That's why we have to be able to analyze and find a lot of information to find the altcoins.

But if you feel it's too hard for you, you can invest in bitcoin and forget about altcoins because you can't find them. Or you can invest in the top list of altcoins that you can choose as your investment. But you should know that you only use the money you can afford to invest in altcoins because altcoin movements follow bitcoin movements.

It's crucial to exercise caution when dealing with alternative cryptocurrencies (alts). While some alts have the potential to generate significant returns, they also carry a substantial risk of wiping out your portfolio. I have personally learned from past mistakes and experienced substantial losses. To mitigate these risks, it is advisable to conduct thorough research on the top altcoins in the market and analyze their charts. From there, make careful and informed selections. I refrain from providing specific financial advice or suggesting particular altcoin names. However, it is essential to stay away from "shitcoins" and avoid succumbing to greed. It's better to earn less with lower risk rather than having high expectations that could lead to losing everything.

It is true that spreading investment in several places is good for gaining some profit. But in my opinion I think it can be also possible to gain good profit to investing in one coin if you know analysis well. If you don't have any idea about analysis then it can be also possible that choosing wrong coins , and also losses from all. In the current market situation, I think it is better not to go for investment in altcoins, but if you want to invest, it will be wise to choose from among the top pairs of altcoins.

Investment in altscoins is very good choice but don,t invest your all money with one coins you can buy little little amounts so many alts coins is really good idea.
Diversification is a must, this is the basic rule of investment that you should never go all in.
The market is down right now, take this opportunity to look for the good coins and buy more, don't waste this opportunity because when the market started to pump again, we might not see this price level anymore as we are now aiming for a more expensive prices. Altcoins are ok, just look for the coins that are more advanced compare to the others, don't just buy blindly and do your own research.

Don't think so. We should not invest in any Altcoin. Investing must be done wisely. We must choose a trusted Altcoin. So that the money we invest does not disappear into dust.

I totally agree, before investing in altcoin, the most important thing is DYOR and never trust other people's recommendations right away, besides that it's also better if we invest in altcoin whose projects are already running and have products, so they have a small risk and have a great opportunity for us to get profit.
Even owning a product cannot guarantee that you will be safe in investing in altcoins, have you seen how FTT rugpull looks like?
yes, because their product FTX exchange went bankrupt, this is why we also have to learn from that case that even having a product can still experience a rug pull,
what we have to do is invest with a strategy, you can learn anywhere for the strategy you choose.

Altcoin investing is a risky but rewarding venture. There are many factors to consider before putting your money into any project, such as the team, the technology, the market demand, the competition, and the regulation. Some altcoins may offer huge returns in a bull market, but they may also lose most of their value in a bear market. Therefore, it is important to have a clear strategy and do your own research before investing.

Yes, we don't just invest blindly but we are investing wisely because if not, investing does not make any sense as we will only lose our money. In a bear market, everyone is affected but when there is a bull run, some random coins can get lucky to survive. It may be due to many people still believes on them so they continue to HODL and buy some more during the bear seasons.

In fairness, I like the strategy you mention there. I'm in fact doing it and my friends too. DCA must be the most popular strategy because everyone seems doing it. Don't worry bro, a small profit is still a profit. You know you worked hard for it so it will still look very valuable to you. And what big altcoins you are talking about? Ethereum is already the biggest. Bitcoin is also the biggest crypto. You don't need to look for others.

Altcoins in comparison with Bitcoin, has more volatile market price but follows the trend still. ETH and BNB are indeed good options but to be too confident with these altcoins, will never be advisable. Always expect for the worse case scenario simply to prepare yourself with sudden price changes and avoid panic whenever the market price is falling. Always manage the risk. Investment will only seem to be a gamble if you won't have any plan on your pocket.

I honestly prefer coins that have been on the market for over a year. I know that when the market has entered the bull market there will be lots of Shitcoin projects trying to attract investors.
They seize the moment.
Therefore for me Altcoins remain a good option because there we can get returns up to ten times or more.

Yes, in terms of profits, altcoins are indeed having some boost in the past few years especially the top promising ones.

What we need to do is to filter some of it and make some research about it, and then study about the possible coins that could give us the profits that we wanted. It is sure not an easy job to do but it is a must thing to do so that our risks of loss are minimized and increases our chances to gain profits in the same time. And in the era we are in now, almost everything can be found in the internet and that is surely a great tool to help us in doing our own research.

For the most part yes, altcoins are invested in by x's hunters. During the bull run there are really a lot of new projects that show crazy returns, which can sometimes reach x500-x700 in just a few months. Those who have monitored meta universes in 2021 will understand. Holding most altcoins for a long time is unprofitable, because many altcoins do not live longer than 3 years, they are quickly replaced by new altcoins, and so on in a circle.

We haven't seen a crazy increase of altcoins in the last two years after the IEO period ended, maybe only the altcoins from launchpad binance have high potential even though it only increased for a few weeks and eventually the altcoins will drop dramatically. Now my question is, do we just invest an altcoin to take advantage of the opportunity to make some x in return?
Because I know altcoin rarely survive the dip maybe after bull run.
It's usual for investors to find a new projects to give them huge return once the bullrun occur. Example is meme coins, if you happen to invest earlier when it's not yet popular then it managed to climb up after being hype, this can give the early investors huge return. However, it's not advisable because of the risk associated with it that you can lose your money if you buy at a wrong time.

Amyway to answer your question don't buy just any alts to gain huge. It's crucial that you have an idea about the particular coin that you'd like to invest in. Find coins that has potential and unlikely to be delisted in exchanges. If you want to join the ride investing in coins that can possibly give you huge return like meme coins then only invest what you can afford to lose. Because investing in these alts are more risky compared to investing in coins that are already existing for years.

Investing in altcoins requires caution and thorough research. Not all projects have long-term viability. Look for strong teams, innovative technologies, and real-world use cases. Consider partnerships, community support, and market demand. Altcoins may not survive market downturns. Diversify and manage risk. Long-term potential matters more than short-term gains. Seek professional advice for personalized guidance.

I have ignored the hype on the new altcoins and am currently focusing on the top altcoins as the impact of a bear market will give a heavily discounted price of any top altcoin price.

On Binance, almost all IEOs are showing impressive growth. The problem is that participation in such IEOs is very expensive for an ordinary investor. You need to stake a lot of BNB to get a decent allocation. More often than not, you get a few dollars. The top altcoins are barely growing right now. Of the top cryptocurrencies bitcoin and ETH showed good growth this year, the rest of the top altcoins are not very happy. But PoW-altcoins gave good growth, much more profit than all these popular altcoins.

Do some research seriously before you decide to invest in any project, you cannot just invest in any random big altcoin in this crypto world. Atleast you understand the project, what project/services they offer and the team behind the project, so even though the project doesn't match your expectations in the future, at least you've tried your best to choose the right one.

Even you invest coin with potential project it will never change the coin will fall to the deeper. Developer are smart compared with investor for manipulation of project they created and also situation of market. Each coin have their phase for grow up but if the development of the product they not improve as well, only time will erase they existence. Think about what kind your investment for long term
It's different if you choose a top Altcoin that is already trusted. Just look at ETH which is the top altcoin and is recommended after Bitcoin. each coin does have a development phase, but the development of ETH continues. Crypto price fluctuations are normal, this is a cycle and it will always happen. Who can survive he will win.

We probably all understand the problem that investing in altcoins just for short-term profit is risky and not recommended, the crypto market is very volatile and volatile, investing in a coin just to make an instant profit can lead to loss and loss of money.

If you are looking for potential investment, do a thorough research on the project and find out the feasibility of that coin, you need to consider factors such as the vision of the project, the development team, the business structure. economy and community as well as the potential for future price increases. If you invest judiciously and focus on long-term investing, you can increase your chances of achieving sustainable returns.

As for Ethereum there is no need to doubt it anymore because Ethereum is indeed an altcoin that has a good product, that is the Blockchain Technology that they make.
but for long-term investment Ethereum is not a good choice because Ethereum already has a very high ROI and it is unlikely that Ethereum will be x10 in the next bullrun.
if you want to be safe, Ethereum is a good choice, but if your investment wants to get more results, of course, the potential altcoins at rank 300-500 coinmarktecap are a good choice.

Just take for an example of what happened few days concerning Binance.us, the little shake of the exchange have truly affect bitcoin market, at this point altcoin follows so if you didn't make your research very well you would see that any newly launched project may bear pressure. Let say during bear market newly launched project may not survive the pressure and if not we are expecting bitcoin halving by next year, which is few months to go now we would have experience a separate thing from the market but that still remains, with time the market would change direction and gets to normal.

for new altcoins I think using it to make a profit and after leaving the market will be better. but it's different with major altcoins like eth and bnb, I think making it a long term investment is also very attractive. ..

It should be remembered that BNB is centralized and its success depends on the well-being of the Binance exchange. Accordingly, if something negative happens to the exchange, then the price of BNB may decrease, as it was with the FTT exchange coin, after the collapse of FTX.

Now there is exactly such a situation on the market, which was described by me earlier. All the negativity that has developed around Binance is automatically transferred to the BNB coin, after the SEC made a number of accusations against the exchange and its leaders.

When I choose the instruments to invest in, I focus on the project and I am a long term investor. For example, I recently bought Cirus because web3 and AI are not only the future of crypto but the future of the world.

meh... are you sure about that? It seems to me if you were saying bullshit. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cirus-foundation/

If that token that you have bought and then your money already worth nothing right now caused by it's gradually dumped to the bottom. I think that all you have said was actually BS at this moment.

I think that cirus token will be die soon. You just give an example about how people shall always try to DYOR before try to pick anything from the market. It's caused by any token can make you lose your money anytime.

Established projects that are actively developing technology and expanding their user base can achieve significant growth in a bull market. These projects may already have established partnerships, real-world use cases, and a dedicated community that could contribute to their growth potential. So investing during a bear market can present an opportunity for long-term holders, as prices are often lower. If you believe in the potential of a project and its ability to follow through on its roadmap, investing in a bear market can be beneficial. Also, new projects can be attractive due to their growth potential, but you should still be selective and choose projects that have a solid foundation and a clear vision for their future growth.

I would be foolish to think you just pick Altcoins at random and invest into them, if you looked at the previous bull run, the 2017/2018 and the 2021/2022, it is the new set of Altcoins that do pumped. I don't expect the likes of Ethereum, XRP, Solano, Cardano, Tron etc to give the kind of returns that ARB, OP, SUI, Aptos etc the new tokens coming during this bear market. There are a lot of bag holders holding the old coins and they are waiting to break even and will continue to dump the tokens ones the tokens pumps, but these new Altcoins do not have bad holders and people have faith in it that it is the next Ethereum killer.

This is a dynamic that is often neglected by those bagholders, they all want to breakeven after the shitcoin in which they invested crashed and they were unable to get out in time.

But even if the developers behind the coin were honest about their intentions to bring the project back at its former glory, the truth is that as soon as the coin presented some positive movement then a bunch of bagholders desperate to recover some of their money back will sell their coins, making a full recovery an impossible task.

Of course we can't just invest in random altcoins. we need to do research for it. maybe quite a lot of people are trying to take advantage of the bull moment to sell the altcoins they hold, then just leave it, even the devs do the same thing.
many people say that we need to be a smart investor. in that way, we will not be a smart investor, moreover the risk is also very large. try to do research to choose altcoins that can be held for a long time, especially projects that continue to develop their products.

Yes, I think, there are bitcoin's alternative, because too much expensive.
I have profit at ETH and TRX, I buy ETH in ICO the first time. And i have cash out of it.
But You must research first before you hold altcoin.
Among the ALT coins you have mentioned, these coins are quite reliable and one can invest in these coins with confidence. But if you want to invest in the above mentioned coins then you will be investing in limited range it is better not to invest extra amount in ALT coins. And I think in addition to investing in Bitcoin we should invest in some potential ALT coins because some reliable and trustworthy ALT coins in the market are capable of going to a good market condition in the future so we should not miss any opportunity.

Trust is missing from that situation, bagholders aren't looking for a profit anymore but at least getting some from their investment even though they will lose. This could be a desperate idea but sounds practical if you fall into the wrong investment. That is why research is vital when it comes to investing because of a lot altcoins flooded the market and most of them (the majority) are potentially shitcoins while just a few of them are worth investing. If we could about that situation, we really think that we can't invest blindly and so we need to be more careful.

Old altcoins will never give as much return as new altcoins. New altcoins won't give as much confidence in an investment as old, proven altcoins can. The important thing here is to find a balance and an understanding of what you want from altcoins. Many people want the difference between the purchase price and the sale price, but not everyone is willing to put up with the high risk that accompanies new projects, so they go to invest in old projects, which can be called conservative investing, where people are not chasing high profits.

Even if Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency and should be the first priority of a trader, having some diversity in your portfolio might bring you more profits in the short term. One thing is certain, altcoins other than ETH a couple more are not suitable for the long-term, so if you are trading altcoins, you are supposed to buy and sell them in the short term after you are in profit.

Investing in new projects might be rewarding sometimes but it also involves high risk because not every launched project is bound to become successful and perform well in the charts. So whenever one chooses to invest in new projects, they should first do their due diligence.

Absolutely correct, just that they are not reliable and is not good for newbie invest because they may not know how to handle it properly. Like for instance, those who don't have any idea about cryptocurrency may not survive it that much because they would feel relaxed thinking is the best option they have taken, as a crypto enthusiast whenever you venture into altcoin invest you should be able know whether to hold for long or short but usually it's best to hold for a little period than relying on it. Still on still i give's my advises to hold bitcoin in bear market than holding altcoin all less a targeted altcoin.

you could say the altcoins there are CZ's altcoins, so it's 90% safe,
but we also have to follow the altcoin projects that we hold because they can if the project doesn't progress, CZ will delist it

I understand why you put Binance as the basis or medium to choose altcoins but for me, it was not enough to say that particular project is worth investing in because not all altcoins that are listed in there are profitable, some are just dead cows waiting to get delisted and thrown away. Better to just focus on its volume and the current market performance as this will help to determine the future of this project, not the exchanges where it was listed. In fact, like LUNA before, it was listed in a big exchange but it turn a scam, so definitely it was not the assurance to think that we are secured.

It's true, during the bull market, we see a lot of new projects popping up, especially on CMC. Some of them are just trying to attract investors and may not meet exchange standards, leading to delistings. Investing in altcoins can be a way to take advantage of the bull market and potentially make some gains, but it's important to do thorough research and choose wisely. Altcoins can be volatile, so they may not always survive the dip after the bull run. It's all about finding the right opportunities and managing the risks. Good luck out there! 🚀💸

You are very brave if you invest right now into BNB, because we all know that BNB is currently experiencing problems,
so it's better to avoid it, it could be that the BNB price will continue to dump until a bottom is reached, and it is still unknown when.
at a time like this maybe you can find or buy an altcoin that doesn't have a problem.

Even if you invest coins with potential projects, coins will never change, they will fall, all need deeper research and at least every investor must have a basic understanding of technical and fundamental analysis.

Because the goal of investing is to get profits in the long term, in the end, developers are smarter than investors to manipulate the projects they create, especially in market situations. Each coin has a phase to grow but if their product development doesn't increase as well, only time will erase their existence. Think about your type of investment for the long term.

It's very hard to predict. Like this time. Anyone was not even expecting the news from SEC to come but it was coming and destroy the market. binance as the largest crypto market has been targeting by SEC.

You can't even find out which trend that's gonna happen. It's quite impossible predicting the trend. None even expect if robinhood will delisting so many coins easily.

1. Ethereum
2. Binance
3. Matic

IMO, the altcoin market is fraught with risks and challenges and there is no guarantee that every altcoin coin will appreciate or survive a drop. Also, there is no guarantee that a particular altcoin coin will achieve long-term success.
So, if you decide to invest in altcoins, choose coins with good upside potential, based on careful research of the projects and its technology. It is important to have a clear and sound investment strategy.
And it is not advisable to invest too much in a single altcoin coin, because this can lead to the loss of your money if the market drops or if that altcoin coin is not recognized in the community. Investing in altcoins is a risky activity and you need to do your due diligence before making any decisions.

that's simply a waste of time, i'd rather spend couple days looking for the information

Investing in altcoins can be a great opportunity for diversification of portfolio and potential returns, but it's important to consider a few things before making decision. Research the altcoin that you are interested in thoroughly. Look into the project behind it, the team involved and whether there is a real world use case for the altcoin. It's also important to consider the market capitalization and liquidity of the altcoin, as this can impact its stability and potential growth. Consider the overall market condition. Altcoins can be more volatile than the established crypto currencies like bitcoin, so it's  important to be aware of any market trends or events that could impact the value of your investment. Determine your investment goals and risk tolerance. Are you looking for a long term investment or a short term gain? How much you willing to risk? Understanding your own investment strategy and goals can help you make more intelligent decision.

Crucial to remember, folks - a crypto's triumph isn't just about its finite supply. We've got to assess the blockchain project's vitality, market possibility, and the team's robust know-how.

We're all hunting for the 'next Shiba Inu', sure. But recall, this shooting star success, it's more anomaly than norm in the crypto cosmos. Coins like ADA? They bring some stability, yet they aren't immune to crypto's inherent dangers.

Remember the 'Do Your Own Research' (DYOR) gospel, folks. But diversifying your investments is equally key. As you rightfully point out, not to invest more than you can comfortably lose.

of course you can invest in altcoin, especially since the current situation (the market is down) is very good for investing in altcoin, but I suggest only 20% of your assets are in altcoin and the rest is in Bitcoin, then you also better choose altcoin that are really good and great potential for the price to increase in the future (having useful projects and progress), my recommendation is:
1. Ethereum
2. Binance
3. Matic
Yes altcoins are always a good option besides investing in Bitcoin,
and as long as there's a good time to buy as much as possible to take advantage of it,
the coins you mentioned are certainly not in doubt and I think we can also do our own research to find other potential coins that are worthy of investment.

Absolutely not, not all of the altcoins can be survived.
If you just put your money into any alts i think is a bad idea.
If we look recently there so many big coins fall, like FTX and LUNA.
So pick your alts wisely.

The most important thing is that during the fall of the market not all the coins will be able to survive. During the fall of the market the price for coins is cheap but if the coin is not necessary to everybody it means that it will be cheap forever because nobody will use such kind of coin. You may lose all your money if you will not check the information about the coin and will invest in all the cheap coins.

Totally agree with you that one should always choose good and strong coins for investment, because not all coins can survive in the market for long. There are currently a large number of Altcoins in the crypto currency market. Not all crypto currencies can be trusted and investing in any project without research and information can lead to losses.

The coins you mentioned which were very strong projects at the time could crash so a lot of caution is needed here. This also proves that no matter how good and strong the project is, one should not always invest all their capital in one project. always divide your capital into different good projects so that in case if one of the projects fails, the rest of the capital is safe. However, great care is needed when choosing altcoins.

If one will seriously invest in alt projects, one should diligently assess the coin itself.
You will hear a lot of suggestions, fud and all, but at the end of the day, it is you who can evaluate if the project is worth looking at or not.
Many alts come and go, and so it is hard to determine the lifespan of such project, you can only see if its use case will give them longer lifespan or not.
Being here for years will give you idea if the dev behind the project is just for quick money or they have plans of developing the coin into a useful one.

It will depend on what altcoins they are. I personally much prefer to invest in some altcoinss, but top coins. I have ada, drpd, ehh, BNN, and also matic. But actually I also have seberapa shitcoins which I don't intensitas to invest.
There are many people who are successful investing in new hype coins taat bring so many profits. But It is always high Riska because we will not really know what will happen to the New hype coins that mostly will drop very much after rising.
That is why once more if to invest on alt coins. i will prefer to only top coins aas ETH, BNN, ADA or others.

This all happened because indeed most of the new projects will be listed when the bulls arrive with the hope that their altcoin prices will also be affected by the bulls. they forget that after bullish comes bearish and they don't think about how to deal with bearish, this is the reason why many new projects can't survive and turn into dead projects.

You "could" invest on "any altcoins, there is no one to stop you because it's your money and people in here have been posted several occasions about "underrated" altcoins that make a move and make bigger profit than any top altcoins out there. but is it worth the risk though? especially for many users right here where it's difficult to them even to pick the right time to invest on top altcoins.

This is why indicators, analysis, research exists and little bit of common sense so you won't blindly invest on anything. Big profit on other coins are good on paper but if you can't handle the risk then just don't.

It was given to think that buying crypto during the crash is a good opportunity but it doesn't mean that we have to buy any altcoins. It should be done through research and should buy only those projects that are potentially profitable, not because it was cheap as in the end, it will be the reason for your losses and regrets. In fact, many people become wrong this assumptions that buying cheap is good but this it was not the main thing to consider upon investing crypto.

Yes, they only think about when it's bullish and when bearish comes, they don't know what to do,
in the end many of the new projects do not survive,
need to think about things in the long term which is important.

Stability and long-term should always be considered in altcoins because there are really few altcoins that are good for a few months but die after that because there were no updates and abandonment by the team. Also, this is the problem with investors when they see a cheap new altcoin and then calculate their profit based on the price that was told to them, which is really a huge problem as they are just thinking about the profit and didn't read and learn about the project, which is a vital aspect of whether it will reach its price.

Well you have a point, choosing altcoins to invest is very difficult since there are so many new projects when bull market is about to come choosing is a very serious steps in order for us to earn in crypto, because if we choose a good coin we will earn but if we fall into scam projects we will surely lose,my suggestions is invest in different altcoins that you think can give you a profit it is a good strategy to invest in different coins than to only one coins because if you get scam buy one coin there is a lot of coin to still wait and hold.

Why you will investment any altcoin due to make profit during bull season?? Why should you need to pick up any just launched new altcoin when you have better option to pick up good coin? Thus you can also enjoy bull session as those will also pump. As you already mentioned, coins that can't manage their standard, will get delisted?  Then try to pick up those coins what will afford to manage their standard in future

In my opinion you should invest and pick projects wisely

And how do you determine if a project is good or not? What are the things one should consider before going in? It's a very difficult skill to master, to be honest. People might think it's easy to identify good projects and make investments with them, but it's actually not, because sometimes even the projects that look 100% legit, turn out to be scams later on, so you never really know unless you have a lot of experience in the industry.

So it's basically not a good thing for someone who is relatively new in the industry to go out hunting for good projects, one might be able to identify one or two if they do a lot of research and analysis, but to have the eye of an eagle in this market, having knowledge and experience is very much important.

Honestly speaking, it is good to buy now altcoins that you think have the potential to give us a good profit when the bull run comes. Although, the risk is really high compared to Bitcoin. Now, if you really want to be sure besides Bitcoin it is good to buy Litecoin, Ethereum and BCH. These three altcoins that I mentioned have high chances that they will return to their all time high for sure when the bull run happens again in this industry.

you really need to be patient to wait for the bull run to happen,
we also don't know exactly when it will come and just follow the progress.

I think you already have a name for the X coin that you wrote above and of course it's good and worth investing in. During an uptrend, it is very important to be careful because many low-quality projects flood the market, aiming to capitalize on the enthusiasm of investors and benefit from positive market sentiment. This surge in new projects increases the risk of encountering fraud or unsustainable ventures. It should also be noted that for altcoins, there is an inherent risk of volatility, being more vulnerable to market downturns than established cryptocurrencies.

Investing in the crypto currency market requires research and analysis first. Investing in any altcoin is not recommended without proper research and analysis. Cryptocurrencies have various risk potentials. A project's technology needs to be considered in combination with the needs of the team and the market and where it is used, whether the investment is worth it. Alt coins can be identified through thorough research and hard work. Since the altcoin market is extremely volatile and can be subject to market manipulation, large portions of your investable capital cannot be allocated to altcoins. Also, before investing, always consult a professional cryptocurrency analyst and stay updated with the latest market news.

Some new altcoins don't survive the bearish session while others could essily turn into bubble after launching so I find it too risky. I'd rather risk on altcoins that could assure better profit in the future though some of them will only be a good investment for a long term run.
It reaquires researches for us to choose potential coins to invest in or much better choose coins that is being trusted by many investors for years.

Investing in altcoins to take advantage of opportunities to generate profit in return is one good strategy. Especially if the Bitcoin price is high, you can try to find altcoins with greater growth potential to get bigger profits. However, it is important to remember that the altcoin market is highly volatile and cannot be predicted with certainty. Many altcoins have not managed to survive after a bull run and have suffered significant price drops. Several factors that could have contributed to this decline include lack of adoption, lack of strong fundamentals, fierce competition, or even the overall market situation.

Altcoins have the advantage of getting multiple profits, but they all come with bigger risks than just investing in Bitcoin. There are many factors that affect the growth of the price of an altcoin, such as development, community and adoption.

I'm a risk taker in my crypto portfolio, so I just invest more in Bitcoin than altcoins even though I actually have a few altcoins in my portfolio like Etherum (ETH) and Polkadot (DOT).

The problem is that when talking about altcoins nothing can really be said to be right especially with some of the current thinking when talking about altcoins then indeed new projects = shitcoins with unreasonable pumps. Even though not all are like that but looking at the current conditions and reflecting on this year alone the fact is that on average most are like that so there is no word that can really be said to be an investment because they are just looking for every point of gap for utilization with the shitcoin pump in the hope of instant fast profits.

This is the only reason for the people to inverse in any coin. The market investment is based purely on the concept of profit and loss. The most of the traders including the new people will target to get atleast some profit. When you analysis the core of the project and the portfolio of the owners will help you to understand the real worth of the project. If the feedback is positive, you are free to inverse in that coin. The best option is to inverse before the market listing,in order to get very cheap.

Project selection, what an art, isn't it? I appreciate your scepticism. As Heraclitus once subtly put, "No man ever steps in the same river twice", every investment is a unique dance of decision-making with the constantly shifting river of the market.

Starting from the basics, one ought to examine the core team. Are they transparent, experienced, capable? Then we'd venture into the realm of their business model. Does it hold water in reality, or is it a castle in the sky? And, let's not forget the roadmap, which is the team's vision for the future. How does it resonate with you?

Next, one cannot simply bypass the financial considerations. A look at the project's funding, token distribution, and financial feasibility is mandatory. Finally, the legal side of things can't be ignored, especially in an environment with lax regulations like the crypto sphere.

New entrants? A word of wisdom - start slow, learn fast, and never invest more than you're willing to lose. Experience is the best teacher, after all.
