Title: Bitcoin meets Garbage Pail Kids
Post by: Spokanistan51 on June 01, 2023, 10:12:39 PM
I ran across this recently, and wanted to share as I know there are a lot of various BTC card collectors on here.

In 2022, the Bitcoin themed SBF "Treasure Hunter" Topps Garbage Pail Kids card was released. The #6 card shows Bitcoins being clay pigeon style blasted from the air by SBF himself. Some have even entered

I am no expert, but a few interesting items to note:
1) It appears 1265 were made
2) There is a unhappy face border parallel version (example below, not mine). I'm not sure if these are included in the 1265 production run, or a limited number of these were produced on top of the 1265 white borders.

Being a limited production run, these look to be a nice collector item and I wanted to share. Ebay has them pretty cheap to snatch one or more up!

Thank you for sharing.  I remember when Garbage Pail Kids were all the rage back in the day.  They were banned from school and were like forbidden treasures to possess at a young age.  A kid down the street from me used to have a whole binder full of them and we would all look at them in amazement that he was allowed to own them.  :)

I went ahead and grabbed one ($15 shipped from eBay), mostly for sentimental reasons I guess.  I hate collecting stuff like this because it always ends up sitting in a safe and being forgotten about, but I figure this one might be worth having in the collection.  I should've grabbed the Pez dispenser too.

Edit: Screw it, I grabbed the pez dispenser too. I guess I’m collecting this type of stuff now.

;D This made me laugh. Been there, or rather, I'm perpetually there.

Garbage pall kids was even a fad here in Aus when I was a kid, probably late 80,s or early 90's
Wish I knew what happened to those cards I had

I have one of these cards - mainly because it does have Bitcoin on it.
