Easy double on my money by Q3

yea, if nothing major happens, it would be highly unrealistic with prices under $1k in summer imo

Glad we're on the same page. I see the first 100$ litecoin happening this year.

Never become a panic seller boys and girls.  The more people that want BTC the higher the price will go.. keep your passion for BTC and get others into it.

I was pleaded with to buy BTC at $70...

That may have been how things were in the past, but I think we're shifting into a new paradigm now. It seems that growth will have to come from other arenas.

There is still a lot of penetration with the general populace that can be gotten still yet, but it seems that it's now a matter of growth in the business realm. At least that's the way I see it.

Really, the average Joe has absolutely no reason whatsoever to use bitcoin. As long as you're not purchasing something illegal or trying to transact across international borders, using a credit card or paypal will be better 99% of the time for so many reasons.

i dont think so.. when more people accept it.. u can use ur bitcoins world wide.. safe and secure.. no need to carry bulk of cash in your bag while u travel..

and can use bitcoins to buy things at home online..

so if you dont own a business, likes to hold physical cash, dont travel, likes to stay at home, likes to pay interest to visa or master card.. yea.. u should not be here.. why made an account and create a FUD?

quit bitcoin =) yea but thats your problem.. other ppl will accept cuz they get paid straight within mins! thats smt good for business, pay lesser interest to visa and mastercard.. earn more profit = can do more things.. employ more workers, renovate more things, buy new cars, buy more gifts..

This ain't the first time we're hearing this, are we? References to the bubble being popped. Remember when LTC crossed the $1 mark? It was like the world had change.

Yep, the bulltard pumpers typically fall into 2 categories - the snakeoil salesmen who got in early desperate to keep the price inflated, and the bagholders who got in late desperate to recoup their losses. Classic pyramid.

I think we call that smart investing and not bagholding :)
Then again getting in now does feel like a bullish time in my opinion

If you think bitcoin is having a fire sale, check out litecoin.  Down 45% or so from its peak a couple of weeks ago.   :o

I am guessing by buying into dumb posts like OP is how the $1200 bagholders were created. And the $100k, $1m Bitcoin hypes. A fool tool and his money are soon parted.

This time last year people were talking about the $260 bagholders... perspective is everything

Yes they were bagholders. Missed out on having 4x additional coins in their portfolio. Perspective isn't everything. Several players will be out of this high stakes poker game forever because of the magnitude of bagholding this time.

What of the magnitude? In case you failed math in school, here's the magnitudes of all previous bitcoin crashes: $31 -> $2 = 94% selloff; $265 -> $50 = 81% selloff; $1200 -> $400 = 67% selloff. Bitcoin easily survived the first two, never have went below the previous ATH, minimum price has always quadrupled (or more) in a year. It will as easily recover from this one by the end of the year; just sit back and watch.

If you have any balls, this time next year you will be posting bitcoin praise. If you don't, well wtf you are doing here, this is a dangerous game :)

new paradigm

You know what that means...

I used to know what that means.
During the .Com Bubble many experts talked about "a new way of valuing/evaluating companies."
This was important since it helped motivate people to pay insane prices for worthless web projects.

Don't worry Bitcoin really is different.  :D

You know how .Com bubble ended right? After the crash that got rid of the weak companies, we now see world dominated by .Com - such a bad example :)

My point was focused on the "investors" paying high prices for the weak companies.

If/since Bitcoin really is different, then the future is bright for BTC.
If there is a valid comparison ("people being motivated to pay insane prices"), then some of us could gain by learning from history.

You don't have to look hard to find people predicting $100,000 to $1,000,000/BTC, so it's a "debatable" example but not a bad one at all.

As it was obvious during the 199x, the web was the future. Nobody knew that google will be the winner, but everybody knew the idea was here to stay, so were bidding insane amounts on contenders. I am not saying bitcoin is different - but the idea of digital currencies is, obviously, the future, in one form or another. From that point of view, no matter how many crashes we live through, the idea will come back. Maybe it won't be bitcoin - but right now, it is bitcoin, and there's nothing even remotely similar in terms of hashing power and network stability, so it's safe to say that at the moment, the digital currencies idea is mostly implemented in bitcoin, so investing into the future of finance equals investing in bitcoin. In 2011, everybody was aiming at 20 years for adoption. I still think this target (at least 10 years from now) should be the reference point for any investor.
