Thesame thing you think is what i also think because you've just provided yourself with the answer unknowingly to you, once you can have that kind of feelings that it's a scam then there's a very high possibility of being a scam, so don't fall for it, run before it take you as a prey, there are many scam going on today in cryptocurrency but under a camouflage, being able to identify some of them begins with how sensitive we are whenever we comes across some offers looking too real to believe them, such is this kind and you have to just watch before you leap.

When you're reporting something like this, it would be greatly appreciated if you could provide a bit more context and personal insights instead of simply directing me to a random webpage with a press release.

Anyway, I've seen similar press releases pop up over the years, and they always turn out to be scams. One example is BitWats (https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitwats-release-most-profitable-asic-195600764.html). Their offers always seem too good to be true. So it's important to be cautious and not fall for such schemes.

EDIT:

Here's something worth noting: the photo they provide as evidence of their alleged miner appears to be nothing more than a generic rack mount server case, readily available on platforms like Alibaba or eBay, with a clearly photoshopped screen and logo added to the side.

From the link op provided and I checked the website. And when I read the article, men such can not happened. It is not possible to for someone has not gotten mining experience to just connect to internet and start mining. Dam men. Where on earth is that? There is no doubt about to be a scam. It is a full time scammers. Because in mining you have little if not average knowledge about before one can do that.

Oh god, again those scammers?
I've seen that server rack presented like a miner a dozen times
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5365880.msg58189209#msg58189209

So the old scam:
Bitcoin 380 TH/s Litecoin 40 GH/s Ethereum 2.5 GH/s Monero 3 MH/s

The new one:
BM1: Bitcoin 760 TH/s, Litecoin 80 GH/s, Dash 15 TH/s, Monero 6 MH/s

I'm surprised the morons realized ETH is not minable anymore!

Bitmanu.com crypto miner is really a scam, not but again, but it's a fact, it's good that you never use Bitmanu.com, as an intermediary for your miners.

Maybe the members here, have shown and warned you about the dangers of Bitmanu.com miners, elsewhere I also saw 9 negative responses to Bitmanu.com.
Quote
1. The owner of the website is using a service to hide their identity on WHOIS
2. According to Tranco this site has a low rank
3. This website may offer high-risk cryptocurrency services
4. This webshop offers anonymous payment methods.
5. This website has been reported selling fake products (read our blog)
6. This website has been reported as a possible scam on Scamadviser
7. This website has received mainly negative reviews
8. This website has been reported for phishing by iQ Abuse Scan
9. This website is not trusted by Trend Micro

The above quote shows that you should really avoid and never deal with Bitmanu.com, if you want to be safe and not lose crypto there.

The writing is on the wall its a scam site and they are using a press release companies to promote their products that's a popular method of promotion because many investors still believe in press releases.

These press release platforms do not even have a disclaimer to warn about the potential risk of the projects being advertised on their platform, thus making it appear that they support these platforms and their products and services.

But it sure seems like scam,,,
