Title: New S19, trying to connect to a pool Post by: cryptdad on July 08, 2023, 08:49:29 AM New Antminer owner here and having trouble connecting to a pool. Everything seems to be working fine, all chips are green the only sign I can see is the red abnormal connection. The machine ramps up and kicks into high fan mode, then it shuts down a few seconds later. It completes that process 2 times and then just runs on low fan mode and does not connect. It seems to be a connectivity issue but I'm not sure. Any information regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You should post this in the Mining section of the forum, more members interested by ASICs will be able to help you. Otherwise, you'll have to give us your kernel log, because without the log we won't be able to help you to identify the source of your issue. You can use the forum's "insert code" button when you paste your kernel log, which will be easier to read. https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/07/08/ZnRfC.png Title: Re: New S19, trying to connect to a pool Post by: BitMaxz on July 08, 2023, 03:47:36 PM Can you tell us what pool you mine? The pool you are trying to connect to may be unstable or maybe your ISP/router blocking your miner to connect to that pool.
I have a few steps that you can try. 1. Try to mine on other pools like Viabtc/ckpool solo then test. 2. If the first step does not work try to change your miner's DNS to Google/Cloudflare DNS then test. 3. Replug or replace the Ethernet cable 4. The last step share your kernel logs as suggested above and let us troubleshoot the issue. I am asking this to be moved to mining help section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=40.0 In the mean time send us your logs Code: [ 0.000000] Booting Linux on physical CPU 0x0 I placed a lot into code if we can see logs we can tell issues. Also is the speed set to normal or low or sleep if sleep it will not mine Title: Re: New S19, trying to connect to a pool Post by: mikeywith on July 09, 2023, 11:37:50 PM Posting the kernel log alone might not show where the problem is, you need to post a screenshot of your configuration page and status page, my guess is that you are making a typo somewhere in the pool/worker configuration. if that isn't the case - it could be your router/ISP blocking the connection to the pool, things would be clear once you post all the information needed to troubleshoot this issue.
