Also, since you are newbie, the image will not be visible, but if you posted here I guess that you have troubles with your wallet; a link to the image is good enough.

You would understand and know when you will be eligible to post image if you had gone through the pined posts in almost all sections; however, @NeuroticFish has explained how it works for you, so since you already have some merits, you need to wait to have some activities and become a Jr member in this forum before you can be able to post image.

Talkimg.com is a most favorite site recently after proxy issue from imgur.com. Because TalkImg.com is owned and hosted by a forum member so he will not likely use proxy policy against Bitcointalk.

You can’t upload an image directly in the forum unlike other forums like Reddit which you can attach image directly on your post. The only thing you can do is use image hosting website like @Neuroticfish suggested then copy the bbcode of the image that you upload to share the image here.

as NeuroticFish has mentioned, since you are a newbie, the images you post won't be visible because of the restriction placed on accounts with the newbie rank. if you want to bypass that, you can buy a Copper membership to make the image you post visible.

First of all, if you post any image from your profile, it will not be displayed until you complete 30 activities with minimum 1 merit and become a jr member.  So you have to be minimum jr member or buy copper membership.

And when your profile is enough to post an image then you can post the image as per below direction

Step 1 - visit https://www.talkimg.com
Step 2 - click https://talkimg.com/images/2023/07/10/ZRyEw.jpeg and https://talkimg.com/images/2023/07/10/ZRJ49.jpeg then copy Full BBcode and add your image link on your post where you want to post Image.

OP I don't think you can upload any images on the forum at state of your rank, I know that you have to rank up to a certain level before you could be able to use images on your post except you have to pay to be able to do that, but is that even possible? I really have no idea of paying before you could upload pictures/images. When I was a newbie up to member I couldn't upload images so I'd say you have to wait till you get to the appointed rank to do that.

Yes it is possible to pay to able to upload images. Right now if OP (who is a newbie) upload his imagine link to the forum it will still remain as a link except a rank higher than his quote the link to make the image visible. But when you pay which is refer to as purchasing the copper membership, you will be able to upload a visible image and also  have the benefits that a member rank enjoys. Many service providers usually pay for it just to have more freedom to market their services. It's possible, he can buy a copper membership (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote) and able to attach an image even though they don't have any activity. But since @OP already have 4 merits and 9 activity, he can create another 21 posts and will become Jr. Member rank that make him allowed to attach an image, of course not spamming.

Copper membership has a similar benefit like member rank, but not same since the BBCode is more limited in copper membership. Copper membership is between Jr member rank and member rank.

OP i find your post where you tried to post photo. but failed because your tag is not correct and secondly your newbie rank not allow you to show direct photo to other.



you have added img opening tag two times by mistake. also you have added https:// at the start which should also be removed.


This is the correct format for your img to be able view in this forum.

Also remember that your image will not be available in direct view form until you become junior member. for this you have to increase activity by posting. once your activity reach 30 then your all old image will be shown automatically.

You can add images on your post but the images won't be displayed because newbies are restricted but there are ways to remove the restriction.

First, to remove the restriction, you need to earn merit which you already have and you must have 30 activity points so that your account will rank up to jr. member. Second, you can also remove the restriction by buying a copper membership and you will have a custom title called Copper Member. You can buy copper membership in this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote. As of now, the only way for the images to display is that other forum member who's not a newbie will have to quote your post then the images will show.

You should know that there are some restrictions placed on a newbie account that does not allow to perform some functions like uploading images unless you're a junior member rank, but incase you must make this in other to promote a service which you control then you have to purchase a corper membership position to enable this function or you better wait to get to the next rank after newbie.

OP can buy a copper member to be able to post image even if he is a newbie, but newbie can post image even if they can't be shown in his post. As long as the OP is a newbie then the images he posts will only be shown as links, but can be shown in his post history or when someone quote his post.

You can upload an image on this forum using the online image hosting website provided to you but your current rank will somehow restrict the image from showing and to prevent that you'll need to rank up or buy a copper membership.
On the other hand, you can also use the proper BBCode formatting to embed the image if you have the knowledge to do it.

I didn't see any problem with trying to post image with mobile device, in as much as you got your images in your smartphone and you clicked on the https://www.talkimg.com/ or https://imgbb.com/ and continue the image downloading you can still copy the link and post here.
If your rank is a barrier I believe some higher members would like quote you to see what content is in that image you posted. So mobile is fine but for a better experience its advisable to use your PC to upload images.

These things have become forgotten in the rest of the forums. All forums have the ability to simply add images without resorting to any additional sites or tools. I wonder when the forum will be upgraded so that we can get rid of such minor problems forever?

Due to some important updates to the forum, uploading photos to the forum is now using a different website. Earlier photo upload facility was available in forum with Imgur but it has been updated now through https://www.talkimg.com/ (https://www.talkimg.com/) website. Uploading photos on https://www.talkimg.com/ (https://www.talkimg.com/) is easier than on Imgur. You can upload a specific size image on this website and paste it in the direct forum, in this case you don't need to click anywhere else.

With a newbie rank you cannot post an image currently unless you will buy a copper membership right here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote). If you are asking, what we are using right now is the Talk.img before we are using the imgur but due to have an error with their images we migrate to use the Talk.img. @OP the image does not resize its self this might help you to become ideal to read and not too much large and small for the readers.

I wouldn't say that one is easier than the other. If you register an account on Imgur, you have access to all your updated images in one folder. You click on any of them, and the site allows you to change the size with one click. There are options such as small/big square and thumbnails of different sizes. After selecting a size, you just need to copy/paste the changed BBcode for it. But since Imgur no longer works on Bitcointalk, it doesn't matter any longer.

I was using it earlier but stopped it while ago and was using postimages.org (https://postimages.org/) as it also give access to different kinds of BBcode according to your preferences.But yeah folder vise sorted images was good option if you have account over imgur.But now they don't give us access so we have really good alternative for it and forum dedicated without those proxy errors also.

Simply go to the browser of your phone and open https://www.talkimg.com/. Upload the photo and then paste the link to the photo in your post.

However, since you're a Newbie, your image won't be embedded in the post but will be displayed as a link only. I will also suggest you to post more often so that you can become a Jr Member and many restrictions from your account can be removed (You already have the merit requirement fulfilled).

You would only be able to post image when you grow to the rightful rank as your current rank would not enable you to post image. Except that you have to use this period to learn on how to do that when the eligible time comes. To upload photos to the forum now you have to use a different website than the website designated by the forum. You can easily upload various photos to this forum through https://www.talkimg.com/ (https://www.talkimg.com/). Before this update, we used to upload photos to the forum in a different way, but after the new update, the forum has changed the rules, which means that the photos that we uploaded in the past are no longer visible. New upload through https://www.talkimg.com/ (https://www.talkimg.com/) only then your photo will be equal in front of everyone.
