To many nice movies like thus available on internet and its good to replace netflix to this (documentaries/movies) for a while since we can learn more with this videos.

I really appreciate these bitcoin documentaries that both of you guys to help people gain more knowledge on bitcoin through entertainment. With documentaries learning bitcoin will be very easy for both adults and teens. You have made me to have a new strategy on how to give bitcoin awareness to people in my locality that are curious to know about bitcoin. I will use this videos to teach it so that they can understand better than all my bla bla. I will create out time and to watch them first to decide if they are good tools to teach a newbie on bitcoin

Another good documentary about Bitcoin is "Deep Web: The Rise And Fall of The Silk Road" by Alex Winter, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GAoeo4FnBU

It's not entirely a "Bitcoin documentary", but the story of the Silk Road will always be a part of Bitcoin's history. It's also one of the first places of commerce that started Bitcoin's economic loop, which made it stop being a natural occuring Ponzi.

Thanks for sharing some of these documentaries I will watch in my spare time and want to know the full extent of the documentary.
This is quite important for me and want to know the history of bitcoin again in the documentary made in the video, I think this will also help some beginners especially in knowing the history of bitcoin.

It will no longer be educating newcomers about bitcoin and its awareness without supporting it with documentary movies so that they can gain a thorough understanding of what they need to know more about.
I now have a collection of documentaries that I can share with others and store for individuals who might be interested in learning more about bitcoin in the future.

Crytopia, it was a pretty interesting documentary that I watched sometime back when it aired in Al-Jazeera. Seeing it on such a channel actually excited me, knowing that it was going to be watched by the masses. Though on Al-Jazeera it's about 47 mins (https://www.aljazeera.com/program/featured-documentaries/2021/5/28/cryptopia-bitcoin-blockchains-and-the-internet) which means some info might have been trimmed off.

The Others I think I haven't watched. I might get some time to watch them as well.

Thanks for this list. I will make time to watch these documentaries. I have always put off watching Bitcoin-related documentaries. I used to search for the likes of these on Netflix and it seemed there wasn't much. I'm glad that you bring up this topic once more.

I'm amazed even the story of Cryptopia has its own documentary. I might prioritize this one because I was a user and I still have funds stuck in there. It's just now that I realize I've never really known the reasons behind its collapse.

The worst part about these series usually are the fact that they are old news, you end up seeing stuff that are from the past and you are will know the future and what happens after the movie ends. I mean you can't shoot a movie in a month and release it, usually that's a youtube video and you can do daily youtube videos if you want but then it's not going to be a docuseries, plus after it ends, time will pass until people see it, you are not going to get everyone watching it on release day neither, some of these videos are years old.

It means that these grow old very quickly, bitcoin world is not same from one month to next one, how could we see years old documentaries and think that these are going to be relevant one way or another.

Agreed with your point of view but without knowing the history you cannot analyse the present situation. Last year Netflix had release a documentary: Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King. It was on Gerald Cotten the founder of  QuadrigaCX cryptocurrency exchange. Many here might not have heard about this guy and how this exchange was the reason a lot of investors lost thier funds. This incident  gave a major boost to Not your Keys, Not your Coins slogan.

I agree with you on that because Bitcoin teaching has been one of the hard parts in educating people and creating awareness about Bitcoin but with all these movies and documentaries it will make the teaching process easy and smooth for both to the learner and the one teaching, but then also we must put into account the important of us attempting to first go through all the documentaries and video so that we can actually understand all it content because if you must know in teaching other about new technology you first need to have a well-defined understanding of the contents and the subjects therein so that you can easily pass on the right information since not all the aspects need to be thought some part can easily be left for the learner to discover by him/her self.

I for one i will benefit from all the list posted because recently a young girl of 19 years ask me to pass on some Bitcoin knowledge to her and since then I have been looking for ways to do that stress-free and I am sure this documentary is goi g to allow me the chance to easily point out the key vital points to her.

Documentaries are good, but the community shouldn't stop guiding newbies by providing them the right information, and having them listen to the right people. Anti-Bitcoin trolls, and their sock puppets, are always playing 4D Chess, pretending to be "good" when in fact they spread misinformation.

I did a translation for GazetaBitcoin about Silk Road Case: The Real, Untold Story. Is Karpeles Satoshi or DPR?
