Title: [ANN] Rethereum - The ethereum restart project. [PoW] [Blake3]
Post by: DrWhat on July 20, 2023, 10:58:11 PM
Introducing Rethereum: The Ethereum Restart Project

Rethereum is a new blockchain project that aims to revive the original vision of Ethereum as a global, decentralized platform for money and new kinds of applications.
Rethereum is based on a modified version of the Ethereum Go client, which is a fork of the official 1.11.6 release. This was the final release to support Proof-of-Work.

Rethereum is not just another Ethereum clone.
It has several unique features that make it stand out from the crowd. Here are some of them:

ETHash-B3: Rethereum uses a new Proof-of-Work consensus algorithm that replaces the hash functions and DAG generation of ETHash with Blake3.
This should allow for a natural progression of the chain from CPU mining to GPU mining, as well as improved security and performance.

RTH: Rethereum has its own native currency, RTH, which is used to pay for transactions and smart contracts on the network.
RTH has a fixed supply schedule that starts with 4 RTH per block and gradually decreases to 1 RTH per block after 9 years.
The total supply up to 9 years will be 124,438,360 RTH, plus block fees and uncle rewards.

Compatibility: Rethereum is fully compatible with the Ethereum protocol, which means that it can run any Ethereum smart contract or decentralized application (dapp) without any modification.
Rethereum also supports the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) token standard, which allows for interoperability with other blockchain platforms.

Innovation: Rethereum is not afraid to experiment with new ideas and features that can improve the user experience and functionality of the network.
For example, Rethereum has plans to move the reward model to a 2.1% inflation target in the future, which could provide more stability and sustainability for the network.

Why Rethereum?

Rethereum was born out of a desire to preserve and enhance the original spirit of Ethereum as a platform for innovation and creativity.
Ethereum has grown tremendously since its inception in 2015, but it has also faced some challenges and trade-offs along the way.

One of the most controversial decisions in Ethereum’s history was the transition from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake, which is still ongoing.
While Proof-of-Stake has many advantages over Proof-of-Work in terms of scalability and energy efficiency, it also introduces new risks and complexities, such as centralization, censorship, and security.

Rethereum believes that Proof-of-Work is still a viable and valuable consensus mechanism that can provide security, decentralization, and fairness for a blockchain network.
Proof-of-Work also enables anyone with a computer to participate in the network and earn rewards, without having to stake or lock up their funds.

Rethereum also believes that there is still room for improvement and innovation in the Ethereum ecosystem, especially in terms of user experience, performance, and functionality.
Rethereum wants to offer users and developers a platform that is fast, reliable, and easy to use, while also supporting cutting-edge features and applications.

How to join Rethereum?

Rethereum is currently in its pre-launch phase, which means that anyone can join the network and start mining or using RTH. You will be able to download the latest version of the
Rethereum Go client from our github

You can also join the Rethereum community on Discord (https://discord.gg/xCB4AJDEFb) to stay updated on the latest news and developments.
You can also find more information about Rethereum on its official website: http://rethereum.org. (Under development)

Rethereum is an exciting new project that aims to bring back the original vision of Ethereum as a platform for money and new kinds of applications.
If you are interested in joining this project or learning more about it, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us or visit our website. We look forward to seeing you on Rethereum!

Rethereum mainnet available.
Lets go start mining.

For start mining you can try project Ares:
https://github.com/VIRUS
Fee - 0.5%
Support Blake3. Also have better results and high hashrate

Put the bottle on the floor, put your miner on it with the virus inside and sit on top yourself.

We have released a CPU miner for our algo.

This will allow multi-system miners to not need to install geth on all their mining rigs.

https://github.com/Rethereum-blockchain/CpuMiner
Download compiled binary: https://github.com/Rethereum-blockchain/CpuMiner/releases/tag/1.0

Usage: ./cpuminer [rpcUrl] [threads]
example: ./cpuminer http://127.0.0.1:8545/ 8

Also dont download what Riokettinio posted, its malware. No miners support GPU mining our algo yet. Any that claim to do so that arent a reputable miner are just trying to infect you.
Requests have been sent to SRBminer and WildRig to add the algo.

Highly recommend not getting involved in this trash, https://explorer.rethereum.org/accounts 20 accounts account for 99% of coin supply. 0 decentralization, no pools were offered on release and solo mining was absolute (5600x secured only a single block in 2 days). Currently someone is running a private gpu or fpga miner and is hitting every single block on the network. Right now he can just 51% attack the chain and just reorganize the chain at his will. The launch was a failure with no exact date announce, dude just said we are live in a middle of a night and the start was from there.

Probably not, but it seems you are mad to create new account just to reply. And besides he is right, alot of people complaining about the same.

Stop giving any money to this project, you are literally giving away your cash to 3 clowns with private miners. Nobody else is mining at this point.

Reminder this coordinated scam, dev already had the private miners ready on release and gave/sold them out. Result now is only friends of the devs are mining and selling everything mined to any existing liquidity that fools are offering.
Stop falling for such scams if you are a person with $ and you don't know how to check the distribution of supply on explorer. 95% of all supply is residing in 10 wallets.

Our miner is open source on our github since day 1, even posted in this thread.

And by your post history you post on every announcement saying that it is a scam.

Stop being a FUD mongerer.

I want to mine but the node never synchronizes. It wouldn't be easier to create an official pool to connect and only extract coins!

How do you call a POW project that has 99% of supply controlled by 10 wallets? Exactly a pure scam.

We have released a JS implimentation of our algorithm.

If there are any pools that are interested into adding our algo and your backend is Javascript, you can use our library here: https://www.npmjs.com/package/ethash-b3js

If you need any help contact us on discord.

Not a scam,
but there is an a**hole that coded a private gpu miner, and mined during days getting all the blocks during this period.
We asked him to lower his hashpower to let other cpu miner participate while we are waiting for an official GPU miner, but he didnt want ...

The result is than he own most of the rewards now ...
I have no word to qualify this a**holistic attitude, but do not blame the founders, or qualify their project as a scam. It's not their fault.

official GPU miner is incoming, and situation is going to normalize soon.

If thats  the case then reset the chain and start over when everything is ready.  You will do that if you want a fair start and you will also prove that this is not a scam coin. I say that because the miner that mined all the coins could be you.

restart the chain was already proposed (by myself) to the admins, check the discord.
But admins want to let the things go, bc restart means death of the project,
Gpu-miner will be released very soon. And coin distribution will be back to normal in a couple of weeks.

The miner is a well known A**hole in the crypto community, I wont tell more about him, dyor.

It's dead, seeing what the dev is of this project this is a big fat 0. And people buying the coins are getting scammed thinking this is the next thing when all they are just exit liquidity.

We have released our C and Go libraries for Ethash-B3.

This should allow the majority of pools to add our algo to their mining pool.

Was there any explicit genesis block premine, like in the original ETH?

I'm observing Ethereum clones to know if there are any really decentralized ones (there was Ellaism before, but it seems dead or delisted everywhere). If there was "only" an instamine (like some claim in this thread), it's nevertheless an improvement over Ethereum's "straight premine"/ICO, because at least the instaminers had to provide some electric power.

(I just happened to stumble upon this thread, and as I'm creating a list of decentralized altcoins, it may be interesting. If someone knows other ETH clones without premine -- you can answer in this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5456378.0) or even send a PM if you like ;) ).

This has no decentralization at all, everyone bailed the ship on 2nd/first day, the explorer has that data.

Theres no premine, other then the first few blocks at the start when people still starting their nodes.

Centrlization is an issue ATM, there a few whale miners and we are trying to get pools to add the coin.

Thanks. I'm still considering it, but will observe if centralization issues improve, and if it gets added to any exchange.

This has no decentralization at all, everyone bailed the ship on 2nd/first day, the explorer has that data.
There have been much worse instamines in coins which today are considered decentralized, like Monero, Dash or even Litecoin. As the coin is only 15 days old or so, even if now 90% are owned by team members (of course I don't know who the GPU miner is, but experience tells it's someone from the team ;) ) distribution can become still better than these. If it's nobody from the team, then they took the work to code the GPU client, which can be done by everybody with programming skills as long as the algorithm of the coin is open source (and it seems so -- if it has closed source elements then you're right and the coin has serious centralization issues.)
